Moving LAP's to another controller

Hi,
I'm looking for some advice. We need to move some LAP's from one controller to another. There are 2 problems, one is that the LAP's are all in different locations around the country so we cant really get console access and the second is that the other controller isnt in the same mobility group, and due to politics we cant add it to the same group.
We have tried to telnet to the ap's and configure but just get ERROR!!! Command is disabled.
Software has been upgraded to 5.2.
Any ideas?!

If you can control the DNS, I would suggest making an entry for CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER that points to the other controller.
Then, reset the AP to defaults (I think can be done from the controller), so the AP comes back on, resolved CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER, and registers with that controller.
Now obviously if you use this entry for something else or if DHCP has entries, then you'll need to disable them, but this is the best way I can think of to get the AP on another controller without acessing it (or without having the same mobility group).

LAP not joining the controller

I have 1 AP out of ten not joining the controller. I connected the access point to the network and I checked its boot. the access point reaches LWAPP Discovery" and then give me console input. I hard reset the access point and I hard coded an IP address for the AP the AP joins the controller, but when I reset it to assign it to another controller it did not join again.
why the discovery process is not showing the DHCP option 43 configured and DNS for CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER configured on the DNS. All the access point is operating normally except this one. it has many certificate inside, why a hard reset did not work to solve the problem?

Does the LAP have a valid IP address?
Can the LAP ping the WLC managment IP address?
Console into the LAP and in enable mode, type the command "lwapp ap controller ".

My URL has been duplicated since moving my site from another Mac

When I originally made my company site it was just a normal www.website.com and thats how it appeared in the address bar. I then moved the site to another Mac (cant quite remember the steps I used) and did some updates to it and republished it and now it appears as www.website.com/WebSite.com/Home.html. Nothing has changed with my hosting company or anything like that. It literally changed just from moving it to anoter computer which is why I suspect that something happened with the folders or something with iWeb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you have to choose. Do it the iWeb way, the situation you have now, or your way, publish to a folder and upload the content of that folder to the server.

Calling a controller from the method "Do_request" of another controller

I am trying to call processForm.do controller from another controller's do_request method.. i dont want to use or assign view. i m not using view. more-over i need to pass certain values to another controller... will it possible for me to do that.. please reply me... your any help will be appreciated..

We are using the standard class cl_hrrcf_application_ctrl to retrieve the parameters. We have to pass the parameters which are need to pass from one controller to other controller. In the do_initattributes of receiving controller have to write the following code.
DATA lo_appl_ctrl TYPE REF TO cl_hrrcf_application_ctrl.
lo_appl_ctrl = get_application_ctrl( ).
      CALL METHOD lo_appl_ctrl->global_context->get_params
        IMPORTING
          p_hrobject      = ls_hrobject
          p_req_hrobject = ls_req_hrobject
          p_cdcy_hrobject = ls_cdcy_hrobject
          p_act_guid      = l_act_guid.
I think this can be use for erec applications. Like this we can create a class & get the parameters.

LAP join the wrong controller

I have an issue with my LAP and my two WLC. I have one WLC in production and another one in test, and I want to associate the LAP with the one in test but I can't, and my LAP join the WLC in production with this messages on the LAP :

I have disabled certificate checking, regulatory domain are the same between WLC and LAP, my LAP(1041), my WLC are updated with the good software version and the both WLC are "Virtual" WLC.

Moving a folder to another partition

I moved a user's INBOX from one partition to another. Everything went well, except that the Sent folder was unintentionally left on the source partition. I performed this command to move the folder to the destination partition:
mboxutil -r user/<username>/Sent user/<username>/Sent new-partition
It got hung up every time during the process.
What can do I to move the folder back to its new partition?

Thank you for your prompt response. My problems aren't solved however. I am dealing directly with a production server and I have no direct authority to restart the server, as you suggested in your previous replies. The only thing I can do is kill the occassional 'mboxutil' jobs that I attempt to run.
What I have noticed now is that any commands I attempt to run against that one problematic user/<userid> do not work. For example,
I tried, mboxutil -c user/<userid>/test --- to create a test folder and that freezes too.
If restarting doesn't fix the hanging issue, then you can simply copy the contents of the old Sent directory to the new one, remove the old one, and runI tried, mboxutil -d user/<userid>/Sent (to remove the old folder, as you suggested) and that doesn't work because again it freezes.
When I tried to run similar commands on another test account, they all work very smoothly. Now I'm concerned that this particular user's mailbox may have gotten locked somehow. My question is, has that ever happened before and if the answer is yes, what can I do to remedy this issue without having to restart the messagin server.

Moving iTunes library to another hard drive

I followed the directions on the Apple website

to move my iTunes library to another hard drive. the instructions say to delete the original iTunes folder ...
now the library has been moved (the files are in the folder on the new hard drive) but iTunes has completely lost its catalog of my music (the screen is empty when I select library in iTunes) - what happened and how can I get the catalog back without importing everything?

You missed 'Point 14':
After the folder has been copied, locate your original iTunes Music folder, and drag it to the Trash or Recycle Bin. Note: Don't remove the iTunes 4 Music Library files that may be in the same location as the iTunes Music folder.
If you deleted the 'iTunes Library.itl' file from that folder, then you deleted the iTunes database file that keeps track of all your song references, Playlists and some attributes. See:What are the iTunes Library files?
Can you recover this file from the ExHD? Or maybe the Recycle Bin? Place it back into the 'iTunes' folder under the 'My Music' folder.
If not, you'll have to 'Rebuild' your Library from the ExHD's music files. It's a simple 'File=>Add Folder' from within iTunes, but you will lose your Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes.

Need help with a script for moving bulk users to another OU and removing/assigning groups

I've never used PowerShell before and have been asked to track down a script that can move bulk users from one OU to another, and remove and assign new group membership. I've been googling it for about 30 minutes and haven't really gotten anywhere. If
somebody can point me in the right direction or give some tips I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm sure this kind of task has been done by several people in similar environments I just haven't been able to find those people/examples.

How can I display historical data after moving a PLC to another port?

I have a system that has Modbus type devices on serial ports. Each device has a number of values logged (perpetually) to Citadel. Over the years the number of devices has grown and I'd like to move some of the load to other com ports. In fact I'll probably use an OPC server. What I really need is an elegant method and/or sequence to implement the changes. In particular I'm concerned about hypertrends that need to show both the before and after traces. The traces will be the same physical points, but the names will change with the new paths.
How do others handle this?

Upon reflection, I see the first part of your comment to be valid. I chose tag names that indicated port and RTU addresses. Thus Mod6_35.4xxx was device 35 on com port 6. I can in fact move some of those devices to another port by simply changing the configuration of the devices to be moved. I just can't revise the tags to show the new port and address numbers.
However, I do want to run through an OPC Server so the tag name won't and/or can't follow. They'll be different device types. I have considered changing the hypertrends to display an expression which is the sum of two separately logged items.
ie Temperature = OldLoggedTemp + NewLoggedTemp

Problems Moving iTunes Library To Another PC

I'm having problems moving my iTunes Library to another PC.
OBJECTIVE
I have a new PC, and I want to move my iTunes library off my old and onto the new. I want to be sure that I get all of the music and videos that I have both purchased and loaded. Total library size 132 GB.
MY CURRENT SETUP
o Old PC - Windows XP
o My current iTunes Library is not in the default location; my C: drive was too small, and I installed a separate data disk quite some time ago
o All of my files (music, videos, apps, etc.) are consolidated in the new library location.
WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR
o Researched to find out how to copy my library to a new PC - from Apple's site
o Copied my iTunes library directory to an external disk.
o Installed iTunes on the new PC
o Opened iTunes on the new PC and changed the location of the library to a secondary data disk.
o Closed iTunes
o Copied my iTunes libaray from the external disk to the new PC library.
o Opened iTunes - where the heck is my stuff?!?
o Research ... i need the .itl file
o Apparently the itl file was not in the directory structure when I copied my library onto the external disk.
o Find the itl file ... copy the itl file ... open iTunes while holding down the <SHIFT> key
o Point to the new itl file which is now co-located w/ all of my content.
o iTunes shows my stuff, but when I click on one of the items, it tells me the file it not found.
Clearly I'm missing a step somewhere. I just want to move all my stuff, lock-stock-and-barrel, to a new installation of iTunes, on a new PC, into a library location other than the default.

With iTunes closed, copy the files iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, sentinel and the folder Album Artwork from C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\My Documents\My Music\iTunes into G:\ - Note that sentinel is a hidden file so use Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer to reveal it. The iTunes Music Library.xml file and Previous iTunes Libraries folder won't be needed.
Press & hold down shift as you click the icon to launch iTunes. Keep holding until prompted to choose or create a library, click choose and browse to G:\iTunes Library.itl
Check that you can play a file or two. Close iTunes
Rename G:\iTunesLibrary as G:\iTunes Media
Launch iTunes. Check under Edit > Preferences > Advanced that the media folder has been automatically updated to G:\iTunes Media. If not, use the Change... button to correct it. Don't consolidate files if prompted. Close iTunes, then reopen. Check that you can play media.
Close iTunes. Create a folder called G:\iTunes. Move the files iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library.xml, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, sentinel and the folders Album Artwork & iTunes Media inside G:\iTunes.
Press & hold down shift as you click the icon to launch iTunes. Keep holding until prompted to choose or create a library, click choose and browse to G:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl

Check that you can play media. You're done....This library can now be connected to any computer and you can use the shift-start-iTunes method to connect to it. whatever drive letter is provided.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm also trying to understand why the following is not possible or is not more readily available:... Just as NI IO Trace (NI Spy) listens/eavesdrops to the GPIB real time, one would think that Labview would be able to do it also. One would think that just as NI IO Trace (NI Spy) publishes to a window/file/memory it shouldn't be impossible to publish to a string so that it can be processed real-time by some VI algorithm. If I think about NI IO Trace as a VI, I would think that it is already in a string format before it is published to the NI IO Trace window... why isn't that string available to Labview VIs block diagram?

Moving disabled user to another OU

I am using Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.9.1 with AD connector 9.1.1.
When a user is disabled in oim (when the Disable check box in OIM is checked), I would like the user to be automatically moved to an another OU for disabled users.
I have created a myMoveUserToDisabledUsersOUTask with an adapter task with a xl.integration.ActiveDirectorytc.UtilADTasks.moveUser method. I have mapped the variables:
Output: String: Adapter Variables: Return variable
Input: String: Literal: String: ou=DisabledUsersOU etc....
Input: String: Adapter Variables: objectGUI
?Anyone knows which constructor I should use?
In the AD User process definition, myMoveUserToDisabledUsersOUTask, I have mapped Variable Name: objectGUI to Process Data: objectGUI.
In Process Definition - AD User, Disable User task, I have
-assigned a myMoveUserToDisabledUsersOUTask in Tasks to Generate for the AD.USER_DISABLED_SUCCESSFUL response.
-assigned myMoveUserToDisabledUsersOUTask as a Dependant task for the Disable User task.
?Is this sufficient for making the Disable User task trigger the myMoveUserToDisabledUsersOUTask?
When I test it by disabling an OIM user, I get the error messages:
Invalid Duplicate in ScheduleItem. There are other instances of this milestone in this ORC.
Error while disabling process
Unable to disable the object instance
Triggering processes related to User. has encountered an error.
Anyone knows what I should do to accomplish this?

I added a Move User task to the Disable User Adapter. I map the user parameter to objectGUID and the org name parameter to the literal ou=<disabled users>, ou=<users>, dc=x, dc=y, dc=z.
However, when I disable a user that resides in 'ou=<usersou>, ou=<users>, dc=x, dc=y, dc=y I get a NamingException error: problem 5012 (DIR_ERROR)remaining name 'cn=<user>, ou=<userou>, ou=<users>' .
Seems like the Move User task does not get the correct dn for the user. I think it's strange since the Move User task has the same objectGUID variable as its input parameter as the Disable AD User task has. And the Disable AD User task finds the user successfully.
I also get the error "destination object not exists (DIR_ERROR)". So it seems like the task finds neither the user nor the destination OU path?
