Moving or changing pictures on a home page

Hi
I would like to set up changing pictures or video on the home page of my website. The main aim is to have movement on the home page when people enter the site making it more attractive and appear as the latest news. Does anyone know how I can achieve this in iweb?

The first thing to do is to find out how to do it on a non-iWeb page. Similar to this :
http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+add+a+news+feed+to+my+website
But to keep it simple : use a blog. Then the latest news is always at the top.
The other simple way is to move the content down, and add new content at the top of the page.
Or add a new page with the new content and make a reference to it on your home page.
Do not expect too much from iWeb.

You could have changed the zoom settings somehow. Try going to the View menu, down to Zoom and select ''Reset''.

Try clearing the cache - command-option-e in Safari.

I just checked the MSN homepage and everything appears to display correctly.
The problem may be caused by the old version of Firefox which you're running. So I recommend you go to '''Help '''| '''Check For Updates''' to update to v3.6.16

User profile and home page changed and Firefox hijacked by IE

I use Firefox with XP os with Kaspersky os. When I turned on computer it went through changing user profile.
Home page is changed to MSN-IE becomes the browser and all my files are gone. Computer hijacked. This is the second computer this has happened to.

I cannot set or change my home page or search engine choice and I have delteed and reinstalled Firefox twice

I have restored Firefox that didn't work either. So I deleted Firefox and downloaded

I don't think there's any way to do this. It's the user's own choice. Javascript can be used to suggest to the user to change homepage, and you can access Javascript from within an applet (I think you use the browser context show URL method with "javascript:someMethodCall()" as the URL).
In any case, it's extremely annoying when a website tries to become your homepage. I also don't see the marketing logic in it: no user will think "Gee, instead of my favorite search engine or news site, I see this (probably lower quality) web portal I haven't used before; I guess I'll use it from now on.". Instead they'll be just be annoyed and decide not to use this site that has so infringed upon their daily routine.

How do I add a slideshow to my Home Page?

Hello, I want to add a slideshow (3 pictures) to my Home Page in iWeb 08. I don't know if I have to use a specific application or program to do so, or if I can even do that. I already made my slideshow using Adobe Flash CS4 but I have no idea if that works or not.
Any answer is appreciated.

To include an SWF in your iWeb site, see this tutorial:

Notes: For that approach you would need to design your Home page using the Photos page template. And if you don’t publish your site to MobileMe, the "enhanced slideshow" feature is unavailable.
Or, for an embedded QuickTime slideshow, take a look at this example (not mine):

iPhoto > select photos > File > Export... > QuickTime tab ...set width and height, etc.
Then iWeb > Media button > Movies tab ...drag in your movie created above by iPhoto.
Then iWeb > Inspector > QuickTime tab ...settings.
Note: The above generates a QT slideshow of small file size and thus appears quickly in a web browser.

How to get a handle Logged in As message in Apps Home page

I want to get the handle to Logged in As meesage in Apps homepage ,when i pressed personalize link. As i want to change this custom message, by some other message,for that i should be able to see the text in the personalize link because i want to attach a custom controller to that.Here i also want to add that am able to see that message in about this page link, it is inside a flow layout, but am not able to see it inside the personalize link.
Please help me in this issue.

Acrobat X/Outlook 2010 Home Page/Webfolders Issue

All - I will apologize upfront if this does not belong in this forum, or it is felt that this is not an Acrobat issue.
We utilize a little used feature called Home Page/Webfolders in Outlook. Basically what we all grown accustomed to is creating a folder in Outlook and then change the folder properties>Home Page to point to PDF files that reside on our intranet site. Then when you want to view a PDF you click on the Outlook folder and bingo its displayed right within outlook. (This works great for those that live in Outlook and want quick access to common PDFs on the intranet (Org charts, phone lists, etc))
So after a recent round of computer upgrades (windows 7, Outlook 2010 and Acrobat x) all of a sudden the Homepage/web folder funtion has stopped working. Specifically the PDF files are not displaying in the outlook folder. You just get a blank page where the page would have rendered.
We have done some testing and Acrobat 9 with Outlook 2010 works just fine! which is why I am here.
Thoughts?
I can tell you that from what we can tell Acrobat X is installed and working properly. Even the PDF preview option has been selected by default in Outlook. I should also point out that we have had many computers previously running windows 7, and Outlook 2010 and did not have any troubles. The recent change appears to be related to Acrobat X.

LoriUAC - thanks for the reply! yes we have everything full patched and up to date. While we have done a repair on some of the machines, the issue (which I may not have mentioned) is that this is widespread. It appears that everyone running Outlook 2010 with AcrobatX has the same issue.
With that said, is anyone also having the issue or is this isolated to just us?

panel and tried to connect to the remote server to put the files

Welcome to the Apple Computer.
You can't change the stock photos, but you can add your own and view those instead.
First add your photos, you can do this from the advanced menu in iTunes. Once you've added photos to share, go to settings > screensaver on the Apple TV and select the photos to use as a screensaver.
