Moving Organizer to Editor

I'm using Elements 8.  on a PC (Windows 7).  Is there any way to display albums in the "Open As" dialog box?  I'd like to move JPEGs
from an Organizer Album into the Raw Converter.  The Explorer folders are identified by date.  So several Albums contain folders from
a single Explorer folder.  After images have been moved about  in various stages of editing and by new album names, it becomes a
long task to find them by some "original" shot date.
Sorry the question is so long.

I am presently using PSE  8.  I do not understand the meaning of "this" in the reply.
In PSE 8,  When I click the "Open As" option under File (to name a JPEG file to be opened in RAW converter ), only IE file folders
are "available."  PSE 8 Albums are NOT available.  My description of the problem I'm trying to solve
may be faulty, but have mercy!  I suppose another way of putting it might be "How do I make
Organizer Albums available instead of or with IE file folders, after I click Open As?"
I use  large capacity memory cards, so files shot and identified by a IE folder date are distributed to several Albums.

  • How do I make Organizer and Editor open at the same time?

I'm new to PSE 10 and want to know how to make Organizer and Editor open at the same time. I can get the Organizer up, but have to pick out a photo and click on Fix: Full Photo Edit to get Editor to open. Is that the only way to do it?
    Thanks,
    K

Create Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor:
    The Editor's executable is:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
    The Organizer's executable is:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"

  • How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor

How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor at one time.  I receive the error message, "Unable to Import Files", which says "You exceeded number of files that can be selecteed and imported at once...."  What is the number?  Secondly is there a way around this for either the Organizer or Editor to work on thousands of photos at the same time?
    Thanks

I have never heard of this particular limit before.
Please understand, this appears to be the limit you can import into the Organizer at one time -- you can have as many photos as you want in the Organizer; but apparently you have to import in batches rather than all at once.
I don't think it applies to the editor; and I can't imagine wanting to have more then a few files in the editor at any one time ... even if you could open 2000 photos in the editor at once, what sense would that make?

  • Pse6 organizer to editor issues

On occasion I cannot open a file in the editor after clicking on it in the organizer. After selecting "full edit" in organizer, the editor will open but
then it stops cold- fully functional, but without my image to edit. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thanks Tarun- I was able to open the file using File>open, but when my edits
were completed and I saved the psd format to a jpeg, the jpeg didn't show up in
the organizer. So I got a trial of pse8 and still having same issues- after deleting
preferences file still won't open certain files from organizer.  When I try
to drag and drop a file to the editor, a thumbnail moves like it's going to
work, but then the error window says pse editor"cannot open...because it is the wrong
    type of file."
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,

  • Photoshop organizer to editor and back and forth?

I was in Elements 11 Organizer switch photo to Editor and the back to Orginizer. When I tried to open editor again I was unable to.

Thank you for your response to my last message:
       1. I did not import the media into PSE 10 the media was imported into PSE 11 but showed in both PSE 11 and PSE 10.
       2. In PSE 11 I sent one file to the editor made changes and sent file back to organizer.
       3. When I tried to send a second file to editor the editor would not respond.
       4.  My problem is trying open the editor for the second file.
       5.  I went back to PSE 10 and it was not possible to now switch from organizer to editor.
       6.  It appears to me that PSE 10 is interacting with PSE 11 and that neither program is operating properly.
       7. Back in Dec. 2012 I was having a similar problem with PSP 11 and allowed an Adobe Tech. to operate my computer
and two days of manipulation he said everything was working. Being it was late at night he signed off. I did find out that he
messed up my computer so badly that it took my computer tech. close to a week to get me back on the air. I was so disgust with
Adobe at this point this point I was about to eliminate all Adobe Programs.
        8. As not able spend any time with programs up till now I tried again only to find that the same problem exists only worse I considering
placing all media on a DVD and deleting PSE 9, PSE 10, PSE11 and PSP 11 from computer and the just reinstalling PSE 11, PSP 11
and the media on the DVD and see if  the programs in question will work properly  If they will not I will look for a new photography
program other than what is available from Adobe.
Thank you I will await you response before taking farther action:

  • Contrast mismatch between Organizer and Editor

I can edit an image in Editor to where it looks great, to include the contrast, brightness, shadows, etc.  When I send it back to the Organizer, it look much too contrasty and dark.  When I use the same images in a slideshow originating in Organizer, they still look too contrasty.  Is there a way to correct this?  I'm using PSE 10 on a Windows 7 -64 bit machine. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for your quick response.  I just checked out the settings in both the Editor and Organizer and they're both set on "let me decide".  I'm not sure what to do on that one.  I could go with optimizing the computer screen with sRGB, or the Adobe RGB for the printer, or no management, or decide on the fly.  If I go with the computer, I guess I'd have to change it when I print a photo out, and vice versa.  Have any suggestions for me? Thanks again.
New update.  I have a Dell color laser printer, and I just checked the manual.  It offers both sRGB and AdobeRGB.  My priority is really to have a good printout.   If I check sRGB I should be safe for either print or computer, but I'm wondering if I'd get as good a printout with sRGB as with AdobeRGB.  The easiest might be to see what the printer is curently set on, and then set PSE Organizer and Editor to match it.  I'll do that, and then see if that helps the mismatch between Organizer and Editor.

  • Opening Organizer from Editor

I have Elements 11, using windows 8. When I am in the Editor mode I can't open the Organizer, I get a message that elements isnt working and needs to shut down. I also can't get a picture I am looking at in the Organizer to pop open in the Editor without first going to the Editor and opening it from there.

    From Organizer to Editor:
    1. Please delete status.dat and psa.prf again.
    2.Navigate to 'PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe' located inside:
        Win x64: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer
        Win x32: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer
Right click 'PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe' and select 'Run as Admin'.
    3. Select an image, right click it and click on 'Edit it in PSE Editor'.
    From Editor to Organizer:
    1. Please follow solution #1 as mention on: http://psekb.blogspot.in/2013/04/pse-editor-is-not-launching-windows.html
    2. Now try to launch Organizer from Editor.
Please let me know if it doesn't help.

Danke!

    Antje,
Please let us know which DAQ board you are using. It seems like you are using the analog output on the board to generate the TTL pulse. Most likely you should use the counter/timers on the card to generate this pulse.
As you are using a very specialized interface (NI-DAQ for IGOR PRO) most of us here are not familiar with the specific functions calls you need to make. Please check the documentation of this tool as to the function you need to use to generate timing waveforms using the counter/timers on the card.

  • How can I get the color and contrast on photos to appear the same in Organizer and Editor?

In PSE 10 (Windows 7), When I edit photos in the Editor and get them the way I want them, they appear considerably different when I send them back to the Organizer, both in color and contrast.  Since I print from the Organizer, they appear in print as they are in the Oganizer, and it's not what I had in the Editor.  I set the color the same in both Editor and Organizer from the Edit menu, but I still have the problem.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  • When I go from organizer to editor, Elements says it has encountered a problem and needs to close. Why?

I'm using Photoshop 12. Every time I'm in organizer and go to editor, Photoshop tells me it has encountered a problem and needs to close. What's going on?  It just recently started doing this. I've only had the program a couple of months.

You are using ADE on Windows or Mac ? and their versions ??
Please restart your machine and try once again.
    Thanks

  • Busy wheel in organizer and editor

I am running PSE 13 and am having a problem that the coloured busy wheel seems to take forever between tasks.  I am shooting in raw, select a photo in organizer, convert to editor so I can process the raw file, then convert fro a jpeg for a photo book.  It takes forever to go through this process compared to the time when I was using PSE 11 for the same tasks.  Am I doing something wrong or is this new PSE 13 just plain slow.  I am on a OS X version 10.8.5 on a MAC.

I would first try deleting the prefs: Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements < version > Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements < version > Settings
    com.adobe.Elements Organizer. < version >.plist
    com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer< version>.plist
That library is hidden. To see it, option-click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there, go to the Saved Application States folder and delete any for PSE.

  • Elements Organizer and Editor Fonts Too Small

Is Adobe ever going to fix this problem of the fonts not adjusting their size in both the organizer and the editor?  The only option to alter the font seems to be to switch to a "System Font", but that option doesn't work. It doesn't change the font size at all, even if you turn off Aero and set the system font to 125%, the menu fonts don't change. In short, the software is not Windows compliant, afte how many years that Adobe has been making a windows version of this ptogram?
The default font size can't be read more than a foot or so away from the screen on today's pretty much standard 22" 1680x1050 LCD display. On top of that, who in their right mind thinks black text on a gray backgound effects 'contrast' rather than 'blend'?
I've searched the internet regarding this problem, and it seems to have persisted through multiple versions of this software, but has gotten worse through versions 7, 8 and 9 based on user numerous posts. Actually, it looks like Adobe just doesn't plan on addressing the problem at all.
Does anyone even get a response from Adobe when they post about this font issue? It doesn't look like it, as far as I can see.

That seems to be a reasonable explanation.  Since a thumbnail does not have as much information as the actual file, it shouldn't be surprising that visual difference exist.  I just wasn't expecting them to be quite so noticeable.
