Moving Photoshop Elements 8 to a new computer?

I bought Photoshop Elements 8 in October 2009. It works perfectly for my limited use of the product. I am no graphic designer. Recently I replaced my laptop computer and am moving everything acfross to it. Of coufrse, I canot simply move Photoshop Elements.
What do I need to do to get the product running on the new computer. Both run Windows 7.

You can't run PSE from a USB drive, nor can you transfer PSE to a different computer via a USB drive. PSE must be installed on a computer using the installer program provided by Adobe.

I am not sure this is going to work. For one thing, the preferences file is in a different place in Mountain Lion. It is at: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.pli st. I wouldn't try to move the .plist file, I'd be very surprised if it would work.
I would do a different approach and start with just recreating the mail account(s) you have on the new machine from scratch and let them download your mail from the server. Then if there were e-mails not on the server any more, but stored in the black macbook, I'd copy them from the mailboxes folder, from the old machine to the new. I'm not sure where they are in 10.5.8, but in ML they are at ~/Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes.
At each stage along the way I'd do a backup, so in case it screws things up, you can revert to a functional Mail.app.

Could you tell us if you are talking about Photoshop 4.0 that was released in 1996, or Photoshop CS4 (PS 11), or Photoshop elements 4?
Older version might not work if your C: drive is bigger than 1TeraByte.

Reinstall PHOTOSHOP ELEMENT 7 in a new computer

I am changing computer with one with O.S. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit,it is possible to install the Photoshop element 7 in the new computer by removing it from the old one.
Is there a standard procedure to follow?

I have re-installed Photoshop Elements 10 on my new computer and imported the photos but how do I get albums and tags back?

My old computer died and I've installed my photoshop elements 10 on the new one and have imported all my photos. WHat I can't figure out is how to get my tags and albums back. I still have the redemption code but when I entered it, the software said it was redeemed by another ID before. Can you please provide me the download link or which ever way I can re-install the software to the new computer? Thank you.

The serial number that you received the first time you used the redemption code is what you need to complete this. If you did not keep a record of it then you might be able to find it in your Adobe account online if you registered the software. If not, I don't know what can be done since you probably didn't purchase it thru Adobe and they will not have any form of proof of purchase.
