Moving Screenshots in Camera Roll in Bulk to Desktop

I'm having trouble moving a bunch of iPhone screenshots (great feature) from the iphone to iTunes and/or my PC.
For some reasons iTunes isn't recognizing the screenshots in the camera roll, and I can't figure out how to get this done. I can send the image one email at a time, but i see from an earlier post/answer that you can't attach more than one image to an email. yuck!
I have a lot of screenshots I'm trying to move.
Help? and Thanks..

Have you ever imported photos from a digital camera with your computer? If so, what did you use for the import?
When your iPhone includes photos in the camera roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer and should be treated in the same way.
You can use the Windows Camera and Scanner wizard when your iPhone is connected.

  • Moving photo from camera roll to library...how?

When you take a picture, it puts it in photos icon, Camera roll.
When you sync from iTunes, it puts the pics in photos icon, Photo Library.
    Questions
    1) How do you move a PIC from Camera Roll to Photo Library easily (I know you can go through iTunes/iPhoto to do it, but it is very cumbersome).
    2) How do you create additional "folders" to Photo Library, like one called Photo Library 2009, etc.
Assuming you can do this, how do you sync to these other "folders" besides Photo Library from iTunes?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    1) You don't. You should import the pics from the camera roll to your computer regularly. You can then then organize them and sync whatever you like to your iphone.
    2) You don't. You create and populate folders on your computer then sync to iphone.

  • HT5622 I lost all my pictures! Please help:( I added all my photo to a new album from the camera roll and i delete the picture that already move to new album, at last all my picture was gone !:'( Please, anyway to recover back all my photo? please help :'

Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there.

  • Camera works fine; won't take screenshots or save emailed photos to Camera Roll

I can't make my iPhone 5c (IOS 7) save emailed photos or take screenshots. When I take a screenshot, the screen blinks like it's supposed to, but nothing shows up in my camera roll. Same with saving emailed pictures. Tried restarting and resetting; didn't find a relevant post on the forum. Could someone help?

I did exactly as you suggested and the phone froze up and acted really funky. So I did a normal power cycle after your maneuver and viola! The camera snapped away click - click - click!!!! Thank you for the help -- as an embedded hardware engineer I wonder what has gone awry with the software.
As I like to say (usually surrounding some goofiness with Windows) "somewhere there is a software engineer responsible for my misery."
    Thanks again.

  • Moving photos from the Photo Library to the Camera Roll

    Hi,
I have recently moved all of the photos on my camera roll into the photo library, however I want to put some back onto the camera roll, but I can't figure out how to. I realize that there probably is no way because of what both of these albums are actually for, but I was wondering if there was any way possible.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well I was able to move photos from the camera roll to the photo library by sending *the pictures via email to my dad's blackberry, then saving them to my computer from his phone, then putting them back on into the photo library*.
This is what I said originally.
    {quote:title=Nissin101 wrote @ 4:08pm EMT:}{quote}
Alright I guess that answers my question then. However, just as I said I was able to transfer photos from my camera roll to my photo library, so at least that is possible.
I never said that I did it directly, neither did I mean to imply that I was looking for a direct solution. This I guess is where our misunderstanding comes from. I just did not feel like repeating the whole process I went through. Regardless, I would rather this thread not derail into who said what and whose misunderstanding who. I now know that it is not possible to get pictures from the photo library to the camera roll in any way, so my question is answered for now at least.

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further.  As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them.  Just make sure first that they are in your photo software.  If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway.  So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

  • Moving pictures from the camera roll.

I have various pictures on the camera roll that I want to move into albums. Some of the pics were taken using the iPad and others downloads from e.mail. I can't seem to find a way. Nik

    Nik,
You can create albums as long as you are running the latest iOS software 5.0 or above. Please note that by placing photos into albums you are not moving them but simply sorting them. They still remain in the camera-roll. Think of the camera-roll as your entire library of all your photos put together. Likewise if you delete a photo fgrom within an album it will not be deleted from the camera-roll only from the album. To delete a photo off your device you must delete it from inside the camera-roll.
To create albums open the Photos app and switch to album view. Tap the camera roll album select the photos you want and click the action button you'll be given the option to place the selected photos into a new or existing album. You can also create a blank album first and add photos to it later.

I agree- I apologize if I sounded skeptical and attacking. In no way did I mean it to sound that way.
I completely agree on the software-hardware combo issue- this is why apple killed off 1G and 2G devices- because newer software revisions would never ever run well if at all on such ancient devices. can you imagine running iOS 6 on an iPhone/iPod touch 1G? That would be terrible. Let alone iOS 3 runs terrible on them and now are generally rendered useless due to newer App Store requirements (most require 4.3+ now to allow apple to kill off the older devices). forcing newer software on older hardware (apple, dell, HP,... Anything electronic this definitely applies to) will almost always yield less-than-par results. The other part is apple forcing you to upgrade by means of intentially making things obsolete. all companies do that.
All of this factual info aside, the issue at hand with the 5 is not a software-hardware combo problem- those are most widely seen with the major revisions. then again, this isn't the first time apple has gotten caught up in battery drain snafus (even iOS 5 was plagued with this as well- and now there are some people desperate to roll back but can't). it basically waters it down to the point where keeping the stock software will always yield the best results even though newer versions provide better features- it all depends on whether or not the person deems the added features are worth a performance hit.
PS. I'm still at 100%- and I've been using it periodically throughout the day. your combo worked for you, but didn't for me. And may or may not work for others- As the tech world would say, mileage may vary.
PSS. What model/carrier do you have? Just wondering.

  • Delete Bulk Of Photos (5000 Pics) From Camera Roll?

How I Can Remove Bulk Of My Camera Roll Photos By One Click?

Can this be done on the Iphone itself somehow?
No. Photos saved through Safari, MMS or email can only be saved to the camera roll.
Or can this only be done via a mac, if so how do I locate the camera roll pics on my mac.
Use image capture or iPhoto to import the pics to your computer. Then create an album, add the photos to that album, then select that album under the photos tab in iTunes to sync to your phone.

  • Why Album's videos are moved to camera roll ?

Dear all do you have an idea about why Album's videos are moved to camera roll ? Is it normal behavior ?
I won't mind except that it doesn't respect the correct chronology...
The chronology is however respected in the collection area.
    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi Dark_angelz28,
Unfortunately this is not something which can be changed, I believe this was to accommodate the iPad display, multiple layers, and to be email friendly.

I was organizing my photos into albums. then deleting them from my Camera roll. Then I went into MY Photo Stream and started deleting the pics I had moved to albums;Come to find out I deleted all pic from everywhere!!  Would the iCloud still have them saved

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
    What computer do you have?

  • ONLY camera roll photos moved to dropbox

I want to have ONLY the photos from the camera roll on my iphone moved to dropbox. When I enable the "camera upload' in dropbox it gets all photos from all albums. NOT what i want. What can I do?

That would be a question you need to submit to Dropbox support. When you say that it is getting photos from all albums, are you referring to ones that you have created on the phone from the camera roll, or albums of photos that you have synced from the computer?

  • IPhone screenshots appear mysteriously in camera roll

So at random, a mystery screenshot appeared -- of my lock screen -- in the phone's camera roll. Noticed on last sync when the image came into iPhoto. Neat, but whaa? I assume a strange crash, OR I made some hidden-code magic happen inadvertently (don't know of any screenshot methods, esp doubtful when the capture is of the phone locked). iPhone4, 16GB running 4.0.1
But there's more... Here's the stumper: this has happened to me before on a couple of totally separate occasions, BUT on my ORIG iPhone 8GB. One was the iPhone Mail screen while swiping "delete" on a message (Oct 17, 2009) and the second another lock screen image (July 3, 2009). Chalked it up to glitchy Orig iPhone, until now. Images:

All proper -PNG files of course. Anyone else?

If you press the home and lock button at the same time, it takes a screen shot. I have done this before trying to lock my phone. No big whoop. Just delete the picture or save to show your grandchildren someday.

  • Camera Roll and Voice Memos not automatically moving to iTunes or new computer

    Hello!
Two weeks ago, my old computer (a 5-6 year old Windows Vista) broke and I spent a week saving everything that meant anything to me. We bought Windows 8 shortly after, and I began to set up my new itunes library, (much to my dismay - why is there no way of tranfering a library and all your playcounts?).
The problem is that everything will sync to my phone, but my camera roll photos and voice memos don't upload onto the computer like they did on my Windows Vista. There used to be an album called 'Voice Memos' on my itunes, which artist's name was the name of my phone, and a file in the 'My Music' folder where they would go to, and my pictures would create a file in 'My Pictures' which would name itself the date that they were copied from my iPhone to the Computer.
I have saved the settings on autoplay to 'ask me every time', but it still doesn't pop up. I understand that Vista and Windows 8 are extremely different but I need to somehow learn how to do this again on Windows 8. I have an iPhone 3GS, with the latest version of iTunes. The software on my phone has not been updated in a while, and I'm scared to do so now.
Please if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated, I have tried to understand some of the other similar questions in the apple support communities but I don't understand how to carry any of these out - nor do any of the problems fit my dilemna.

We bought Windows 8 shortly after, and I began to set up my new itunes library, (much to my dismay - why is there no way of tranfering a library and all your playcounts?).
There is by including your iTunes library or media folder with your computer's backup along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
The problem is that everything will sync to my phone, but my camera roll photos and voice memos don't upload onto the computer like they did on my Windows Vista.
Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll do not upload to your computer automatically with Vista or any other Windows version and are not included with the iTunes sync process. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. When there are photos/videos in the Camera Roll, the iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. You can set a photo import app to launch automatically on your computer when a digital camera is connected including when the iPhone is connected with there are photos/videos in the Camera Roll, but that is a manual setting on your computer. iTunes is not involved with this process.
Voice memos can be synced with your iTunes library. This is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • My iPhone 4 refuses to save pictures and at some instances, delete my existing pictures. I take a picture, and then go to camera roll and look, but it doesn't show up. The same thing happens when I try to screenshot things; it won't save.

My iPhone 4 is severely making me mad. It won't save any pictures I take. I will take the picture, then go to view it in the Camera Roll, and it just won't be there. The same thing occurs when screen shotting things on my iPhone. Some times it won't even let me delete the existing pictures I had on my phone before this all happened. I will click delelte, then it will pause, and eventually close me out of the photos app. However, when I go to settings, it says I have 440MB of pictures on here somewhere. But I can oly see 3 pictures in the camera roll. Also, it says in the camera roll app that it is 'Restoring...' then just sits and loads and won't restore anything at all. HELP ME PLEASE. I have iOS 7.1 currently installed.
