Moving settings for LR5.2 to a new computer

Hi All,
My computer HDD died :-( Luckily, I have made full HDD backups quite regularly and haven't really lost anything.
However, I'm making a clean install of everything to get a fresh start. Over the years, I have built up quite a large set of LR Develop and Export presets along with several custom lens profiles and camera colour calibrations. Having started from LR2 then upgraded 'in place' over the years, I have a feeling the files for all these might be scattered all over the place on my Windows 7 installation/appdata files.
Apart from the obvious catalog file, where else should I be looking to get my fresh LR5.2 installation looking like it used to with a full recovery of all my various profiles and presets?
I think I found a few in my backed up %appdata% files but there is so much in there, I don't know what is essential and what is just 'junk' from older versions.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Assuming your library was in the standard layout before you started move the rest of the iTunes folder to the root of the external drive, move the iTunes Media folder inside it, and shift-start iTunes to connect to library file at \iTunes\iTunes Library.itl.

Is there a way to export settings for a resource group in new portal?

The old portal allowed you to export the XML for the settings for a VNET. I don't see the equivalent feature in the new portal. I'd like to be able to download a copy of the settings for an entire resource group to use as a template file for creation of
a new resource group deployment using the New-AzureResourceGroupDeployment PowerShell script.

We have the syntax for saving the settings for a resourcegroup on new portal but that saves it on JSON file.

Where can I find current information for ver 12 on moving my Itunes library from old to new computer.

I am trying to move my Itunes from Windows 7 Computer to a New Windows 7 Computer. None of the online information post seem to show how to do this with the newest ver of Itunes.
In addtion after it does get moved how to deal with associating my Iphone 5 and Ipad to new computer library.

The process is the same for iTunes 12 as it was for previous versions. Note that some of the "guidance" available online describes how to move your media from one computer to another without replicating the complete library structure and content. Doing the latter is essential if you want to preserve playlists, ratings, play counts, etc.
As long as your library is in the standard structure (typically under C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes), with all your media contained within the iTunes Media folder in a structure like this:
you can copy the complete iTunes folder from your old computer to the equivalent location on the new one. Then, to make sure you're connecting to the right iTunes library database, hold down SHIFT when you start iTunes on the new computer and when you see this prompt:
click on Choose Library..., navigate to the iTunes folder you just copied, select the iTunes Library.itl folder you'll find there, and click Open.
If your library is not structured as above - and particularly if some or all of your media is not contained in the iTunes Media folder - see turingtest2's user tip on Make a split library portable for the steps that will modify the layout of your library to make it so.
This method results in a complete replica of the library that was on your old computer on the new one - this means that your iDevices will sync correctly on the new machine without having to make any further changes,

For Christmas I got a new computer after my other computer broke so I am wondering is there a way to sync my iPod touch that I already had with my new computer without deleting all my app data because I have over 200 hundred dollors of games

You should be able to:
Use Edit > Preferences > Devices > Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.
Connect the device to iTunes.
Backup the device to the new computer.
Transfer your iTunes purchases into a newly authorized library.
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer.
Restore the device from the backup.
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps. When you get it all fixed, make a backup!
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.

New Computer for Xmas-Move HDD to new computer, songs came over but!!

Put a new Computer together for Christmas and had all my music on a 200Gig hard drive(HDD just had music on it). Took the HDD out of the old computer and moved to new computer.
Reinstalled iTunes and changed the iTunes Music Folder Location to my new HDD, then Added the music folder on the HDD to my library.
All the songs came over, along with the artwork, but no playlists, and some of the info for each song.
I used "Exported song list" & "Export library". Most of the info came over but MY RATINGS did not.
I have almost 22,000 songs in my library, and it took months of inporting CD's and rating my music.
Don't want to go through that again.

Moving music from external hard drive to new computer

I lost my iTunes library, but still has my music file on an external hard drive.How do I get my music onto the new computer + Itunes from the external hard drive?

On new year's eve some POS shot a .40 cal bullet through my living room window and hit my 20" 2.4 GHz iMac on the edge of the screen. -- Let me just pause to say that we're lucky we were out at a party. -- Anyway, this iMac was the hub for our media. We used it to sync/control content on our ATV, of which we had about 200 GB of music, TV, & movies (mostly purchased via iTunes). I had a Lacie hard drive connected to the iMac for storage of the iTunes Music folder (I was running 10.5...it wasn't upgraded to OS 10.6). Anyway, I didn't have the media backed-up (not using time machine), but the external hard drive wasn't damaged by the bullet. I now have the 21.5" 3.06 Ghz iMac with OS 10.6. Is there a way to get the new computer to use the content on the Lacie hard drive?

Moving iTunes Library from iPod mini to new computer (old hard drive dead)

Hi all, I own a 2nd gen (I believe) iPod mini with all of my music from my iTunes library on it. Last weekend, my computer began freezing/crashing while loading my desktop, and a diagnostic confirmed that the read/write head on my hard drive was bad. I don't currently have the spare cash to send it away to a recovery lab, so I am starting from scratch with a new computer I will be ordering today.
My question is this--is it going to be possible to transfer the music from my iPod to my new computer? Many of the songs on my iPod are from other sources, during the years that I was not using iTunes, and from what I have read I will only be able to transfer my purchased music. I know there is a way to make my iPod into a hard drive in order to transfer the music to my new computer, but as I said, I cannot even boot up my old machine, and thus cannot access my iTunes library on my HD.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice you may have.

Snow Leopard requires 1gb of RAM too. It sounds like you already have the minimum.
What model of Mac Book do you have? Go to the "Apple" in the upper left hand corner and select "About This Mac". Then click "More Info" and check "Model Identifier" in "System Profiler" is it a 1,1, or 2,1?

If you like the MacBook I would stick with it. I'm running an older MacBook with CS3 on it and it runs fine for me.
The iMac is a desktop computer not a laptop. With it you get a bigger screen and the ability to hold more RAM and a bigger hard drive. It wouldn't be that much better for running software than a new MacBook or MacBook Pro would be.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a new computer and I am trying to upload the songs from my iPod to the iTunes on the new computer. I do not have the old computer to transfer from the old iTunes to the new iTunes. Is it possible to use the iPod to transfer the song files?

If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.

You can transfer the apps while connected to the Mac and iTunes running by going from the iTunes menu at the top of the screen File>Transfer Purchases. This will put all of the apps into the iTunes library on the new computer.
