Moving songs from itunes to iphone

Before the last two updates I was able to move songs from itunes to my iphone 4s.  Now for the last two days when I attempt to move the songs not all of them are available once they are moved.  I will get some of the album but not all and in some cases they don't show up at all.   What is strange is that they show up on my iphone when it is connected to itunes under music.  They are not songs that show the cloud symbol they are songs that I have uploaded to itunes with cd's.
thanks-Stuart

The iPhone will only sync music from one computer. Syncing to another will replace your playlists.

  • Purchased songs from iTunes via iPhone 4 but files not found on comp after sync

I purchased an entire album and one additional song from iTunes on my phone while at work on a wireless network.  When I got home it started the transfer/purchase updates or whatever.  I don't know what happened I don't think there was an interruption at any point but now I find that most of the songs from that particular album plus the additional song are seen in my library with the "!" next to them.  For the life of me I cannot find the files, they just don't exist on my computer or the external drive on which I keep my iTunes.
With all this being said I can listen to all of the songs on my iPhone without issue... ***?
How can I get the proper files back on my computer without having to repurchase the songs?

  • Sync 622 songs from Itunes to Iphone but Iphone shows 986 songs.  What am I doing wrong?

I want to sync 622 songs from my Itunes on iMAC to my Iphone but everytime I sync my Iphone shows 986 songs.
Where are the extra songs coming from?
The extra songs listed under "music on my device" are grayed out with a dashed circle on the Itunes program.
Yes, I clicked on "sync only clicked on music and videos" and "sync selected music, artists"
Is there a simple fix so that when I sync my song from mac to iphone, it is a WYSIWYG process?
    I have the Iphone 5 iOS 8.1.3, Mac mid 2007 OSX 10.7.5, Itunes 12.1.0.50
    Thanks!

    Try the following:
Attach your iPhone to iTunes on your computer and sync as usual.
When the iPhone's summary page is open in iTunes, click on the "Music" tab under "Settings" on the left side (2 rows below "Summary").
Uncheck the "Sync Music" box.  Accept the "Are You Sure ...".  That will remove all synced music from your iPhone once you click "Apply" in the lower right.  (Of course, that music remains in iTunes).
Once that is complete, your iPhone should contain only the extra 364 songs.  Do what you like with them.
Then recheck the "Sync Music" box and apply.  That will restore the 622 songs to your iPhone.

  • Problem downloading songs from iTunes to iPhone

I cannot download songs from iTunes into my iPhone. I was able to move about 10 songs but when I view them they are greyed out. I cannot manually move any songs. And if I attempt to drag and drop the iPhone will not accept them as the iPod will. Any suggestions? BTW I can move songs freely from iTunes to my iPod.

    hi jason,
imho, the lack of manual music and video management
is a mistake. i've had 4 ipods over the years and have always used
manual mode. the playlist hack works okay
    and is only mildly cumbersome.
however i tend to buy music from itunes both on my
imac at home and my pc at work. i've always simply
been to plug in my ipod to either computer and grab my
purchases, in either location. now, my iphone is "locked"
to my imac. i'm sure apple had a good reason to leave out
manual management, but i would suggest revisiting this
    asap.

  • Moving music from iTunes to iPhone 4 wirelessly

I am wondering if it is possible to move music from itunes to iphone 4 wirelessly. I know that it is possible to move music purchased FROM ITUNES to different devices wirelessly. But what if I import a cd from my collection?
So I guess my real question is: Is it possible to move music NOT PURCHASED FROM ITUNES and already in my library, to my iPhone 4 wirelessly? If so, how?
    Thank you.

  • Suddenly, can't sync any songs from iTunes to iPhone, other help topics suggestions, not helping me :(

Everytime I try to sync any of my songs onto my iPhone 4, I get an error message that says: "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "(song name)", were not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because they could not be found." and then it stops syncing. It says there are 13 problems. Then when you expand to see the files, each one says: "(song name)"" was not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because it could not be found." It can be any song, an old song from 7 years ago that I got off Limewire, or a song from a CD, or it can be a song I paid for from the iTunes store. Doesn't matter.
Couple weeks ago, I had no problems. Purchased new songs and had them in playlists on my phone. Then a couple days ago, I plugged my iPhone into the computer (to charge it), and suddenly my songs were removed off the iPhone. So I tried to put them back on, kept getting this error. So I googled it. I have spent the past 4 days TRYING to get things to work. I have looked through all the other similar questions, and tried suggestions on there. Nothing is working.
    - There is no exclamation point beside any of my music.
    - I have not changed the hard drives (I don't use my computer daily, probably once a week), (Windows is up to date also).
    - I have tried re-adding the songs to the library.
    - Everything still plays in iTunes.
    - If I click on the file in its location, it will open it and play it in iTunes.
    - I tried deauthorizing my account then reauthorizing it, didnt work.
    - I have even removed all my music off my phone to see if that works, now I have 15 songs on it.
I did find it odd that when I looked in my purchased playlist, they were not there, but they are on the computer and on the purchased list (under the iTunes store on the side menu). At least I can use my iPod for when I'm in the car, but now I have to carry that around too, I'm getting quite frustrated. Normally I'm quite computer savvy, but I'm totally stuck on this one. And like most people, I rely on my iPhone WAY to much and let the little things affect my daily life. I hope SOMEONE can please help me?!?
(I don't know if it may even have to do with the fact that yesterday I finally got my iPhone updated to the latest IOS, (cuz I was finally able to download the update from iTunes... Unless that was a separate update) the one where it's like "do you want to cancel, download only, download and install").

After calling Apple Support. They kind of helped me. Since they pointed me in the right direction, I was able to fix the problem.
They were not actually songs, but ringtones I created in an app (and probably moved its location). Suddenly problem solved! Lol!

  • Removed songs from iTunes or iPhone keep syncing - where are they and how to permanently stop syncing?

I have about 26 songs that were purchased from iTunes that continually sync from iTunes to my iPhone.  I have removed them from my phone and have removed through iTunes, but every time I sync my phone with iTunes they come back.
I have "manually managed" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1535) my iPhone and have removed from the "On this iPhone" section in iTunes and that works great.  However, if I try to sync a playlist the playlist syncs, but then the 26 songs I just remove return and are put back on my iPhone.
On my iPhone I have Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads > Music set to Off.  I have Settings > iTunes & App Store > Show All > Music set to Off.
On my iTunes, in the iPhone section, I have under the Music section "Sync Music" checked and only one playlist selected with about 49 songs in it.
I have tried deleting those unwanted 26 songs from my iPhone (http://helpios7.com/remove-songs/) and then syncing.  The 26 songs return.
I am out of ideas -- is there some iCloud connection/setting that is thinking those 26 songs need to be synced to my iPhone?
I guess my question is - why can't I just sync the one playlist without having these "rogue" 26 songs keep syncing/reappearing?
    Thanks for you help!

Go into Settings > Music and there should be an option to "Show all music" all that is needed is for it to be turned off, then only music on your phone is displayed.

  • I am no longer able to transfer songs from iTunes to iPhone 4

I have been unable to transfer music from iTunes to my iPhone 4 ever since I downloaded iOS 7.0.4.  I have restarted everything, checked settings, clicked on all song and then none at all.  I have backed up and synced at least 10 times.  I have no idea how to fix this problem.

It would go through the motions of syncing and show steps 1-5, then it would end. When I would check my phone the songs weren't there.
I ended up going back to my Summary tab, scrolling down to Options and choosing "Sync only checked songs and videos".  I clicked on Sync one more time and my songs showed up.  I guess that was the problem.

  • Transfer shared songs from itunes to iphone

my brother sent me some shared music from his itunes library to my computer and I now have the songs on my itunes library. How do I transfer those songs onto my iphone?

If this "shared" music is music bought from iTunes, presumably it is associated with a apple ID and would probably refuse to load for another apple ID? I think Apple changed it's DRM too, so maybe modern downloads might work while older ones might not. Hard to say without knowing more.
