Hi everyone
I am new in crystal reporting and using Crystal Reports XI release 2. Firstly I should explain what I need to have. In my database I have got a parent table called Initiatives and a child table called benefits. One initiative has got many benefits associated with it and benefits are updated regularly by the users. Now my manager wants me to create an Initiative reports in such a way that all the initiatives are displayed and against each initiative there should be a box filled with either of these colour (red, yellow, green).
Let's say if Initiative "X" has got 10 benefits and if one or more benefits are outstanding by more than 2% then the colour of the box should be red. And if no benefit is outstanding by more than 2% and one or more benefits are outstanding more then 1% and less then 2% then colour of box should be yellow. And if no benefit is outstanding more than 1% then colour of box should be green.
Now for this I have created a report displaying all initiatives and a sub report with a SQL command containing the data from the benefits table. I have also included a database field which I would use as a box.
Now I want to loop through each record of the crystal report till the last record and format the field as per condition. I would probably use nested loop to look for the status of the benefits but I don't know how to do this in CR. In short I am looking to do this thing in CR

Each record has enough content for 5 page of pdf report.

Calculate Days between same date field in multiple records, looping for each record
Be patient as I am a newbie to Sql Server (using 2008 R2) and SSIS. I have looked at multiple solutions in this and many other forums before submitting the question.
I am looking at records to identify the number of days between two dates. We review drug information. A member uses drug A (Code identifies this called GPI) and has refills throughout time. The goal is to calculate the days between Refill
1 and refill 2, then refill 2 to refill 3, etc. When that member record set is complete, we move to the next member record set.
The basic data would be as follows. Each record shown below would be a separate record in a single table :

The days between is the value I am looking to calculate. The First record for the grouping of Member and Drug Code will be zero ( 0 ) as there is no preceding date to calculate against. The process would then loop through the records at the grouping
(Member and Drug Code) until those records are calculated. It would then move on to the next group of Member/Drug records.

I have a very complex Data Flow, with several joins, splits, etc.... once all of this logic is completed, I need to insert the values 2013, 2014, and 2015 for a Derived Column (called Year). Each record that comes through this data flow needs to have
a duplicated entry three times, and insert these values for the year.
Here's a simple example source:

So the target should end up being:

Try this,
1. Load the data into your destination with 2013 as a derived column.
2. Have an another Dataflow task to load one more time. (Select the distinct record from dest table - have an id key and take distinct based on that or please check for your data nature). After selecting the distinct records, have 2014 as derived column
in that DFT.
3. Again have another DFT to load for 2015.
This is a static method since you have only 3 years to insert. If you have more years like this, do a loop to achieve this logic.

Lookup Data For Each Record of Result Set
I'm trying to determine if the following task is possible in BPEL and how to implement it.
Assume I have two DB Adapters returning data from two different databases.
The first excepts no inputs returns 5 records in a collection looking somewhat like the following.
Order ID, Item ID
1, 2
2, 1
3, 1
4, 2
5, 3
The second accepts an Item ID as input and returns the description for that item.
I would like the output of the BPEL Process to look like this.
Order ID, Item ID, Item Desc
1, 2, Computer
2, 1, Desk
3, 1, Desk
4, 2, Computer
5, 3, Lamp
I'm new to BPEL and I'm assuming this will involve invoking the first db adapter link and then iterator through the result set calling the second db adapter link for each record but I'm not sure where to start. I'm hoping someone can give me a simple example that I can play with. I've looked at How to iterate through multiple records read from a file adapter? and How to pass a single element in an array to XSL from BPEL but I'm getting lost.
ThanksI just got it working in the BPEL for-each loop by creating a variable of type Order which I then assigned the results from that loop and then appended them to my output variable. I'd be interested in seeing how I could do that within a transformation if its quicker. How do I append in a transformation so that I can add the row after each loop.
Here is the BPEL so far.
I will note that I think just fetching a complete copy of both data sources and merging wouldn't be ideal as my items table could contain a million records or more and I'm only wanting to fetch the ones I'm interested in.

Where can I find the user key precedence hierarchy for each record type?
Example: I want to update contact records through the CRMOD web service API.
So I'm looking at the "Oracle Web Services On Demand Guide, Version 6.0 (released August 2010)", page 316, and it lists 3 user keys for Contact.wsdl v2.0 in the following order:
1. FirstName and LastName
2. Id
3. ExternalSystemId
From what I can see, this order does not seem to reflect the precedence hierarchy of these 3 user keys.
I've send in a test update where I supplied a FN, LN, and EUID, ... and the contact that matched the EUID got updated.
(I'm glad it did, because EUID really needs to take precedence over FN+LN, otherwise you could never change a contact's last name without knowing the contact's Row Id.)
Does anyone know where I can find the precedence hierarchy for each record type's user keys (other than doing the obvious and time consuming "try+error")?Hi,
we experienced similar problems with the account object and asked the oracle support about this. This was their answer:
"[...] thank you for contacting CRM On Demand Customer Care. Regarding your question, please note the below: when perfoming a query, the user key fields are looked for in this order: - Row id - External System Id - AccountName and Location. Basically, the search will be performed by AccountName and Location only when the other fields are missing. This is an expected behavior because, the Row Id is the strongest filter as it is always unique. The external system Id comes second, as it is supposed to be unique in another system."
So, I guess the order is always
1) Row Id
2) External System Id
3) specific field combinations...

I have retrieved the data below from a database and stored into a vector. (each row is stored into an array and in turn each row is stored into a vector). Now I have to show this data quarterly (add january, feb and mar into one quarter and so on.. I am having problems moving through this vector. Any help is appreciated.

I trying to create histograms based on the unique record sizes in a particular table. However , in order to do that I need to calculate the size of each record in the table (in kilobytes preferably) and to get a list of unique record sizes.
Is there a function or easy way to calculate the size in Kbytes of a record in a table?

within the loop open the text and give the output fields,
after this text use the Command node and in this set the next page as page1,
so when the loop gets executed its first record will be on the first page and the second record will be on the next page and so on ..

You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.

FEP updates from replica WSUS servers
