Moving to another country: Apple TV OK ?

Hi
I am soon moving from New Zealand to Australia. I just bought the latest version of Apple TV. can i use it in Australia, or update the software relating to that country or do I have to buy a new Apple TV in Ozzie ?
Thanks

No you will be fine. Might be a different iTunes store that it logs into. Check out the details in the store for new Zealand. I'm sure you can find it on the apple website in iTunes.

How can I settle the payment and change country?

Nope. You can only have one credit card attached to an account at a time. Its not that big of a deal to use two accounts, users do this all the time. Create the second account(UK Account) in iTunes on your computer...sign out of your Italian account first. Then authorize your computer for this new account: Store>Authorize this computer. Then sync your phone. Now, to switch accounts on your phone: Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in with the ID you want to use.

You have to contact Adobe Customer Support for that.

  • HT1918 What do you do when you have moved to another country?

My credit info has changed after moving to another country and my current itunes account will only accept US information. I went to Itunes canada and changed my info, but when I try to purchase, Itunes opens and the info is US and cannot be changed to Canada.

  • Moving to another country and bringing the iphone

    Hi,
I bought an iPhone 3G in Venezuela in January. There you are not tied to a contract but the cell is locked. If I move to US or Canada and I want to use the iPhone how can I do?
I have reviewed several Q/A and according to the link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 in Venezuela there is not "Carrier offers
    authorized unlocking"
    Thanks!

If your iPhone was sold as carrier locked with the designated carrier for the iPhone in Venezuela, your iPhone remains carrier locked with the designated carrier in Venezuela regardless if you purchased the iPhone under contract or on a pay-as-you-go basis.
If your iPhone was sold as carrier locked with the designated carrier in Venezuela and it sounds like it was, you need to contact that carrier regarding if they are willing to unlock your iPhone for you. If not, you won't be able to use the iPhone with another carrier's SIM card in another country.

  • Multiple Apple ID's after moving to another country

    Hi all
This is probably a well known issue already, but I am posting my experience here for visibility to Apple.
I moved from New Zealand to Australia in August. Both countries obviously have independant iTunes/App Stores. After relocating to Australia, I heard about a bunch of great apps I could get for my iDevices, however they were only available in the Australia iTunes store. There was no option for me to change my existing NZ iTunes/App Store account to Australia, so I was forced to create a new Apple ID for purchasing apps from the Australian App Store. Now it's extremely annoying when I want to update Apps on my phone, because some are acquired through the NZ store and some through to AU store.
Why can we not just change the country our Apple ID is set for? It makes it extremely difficult, even for travellers visiting other countries, to get localised Apps for while they are there. Is it a licensing issue?
Anyone else have this problem too?

  • I moved to another country and i can't use my I Phone

My Iphone isn't working in my country.i bought this phone i USA and now i moved in Albania and this phone doesn't work with Albania carrier.i'll be very pleased if you unlock it.i think it used a sprint sim card

This is a user to user forum, not Apple. You will have to contact the Sprint network to see if they will unlock the phone for you. That is the only way to get it unlocked.

  • Moving to another country means buying another iPhone?

I live in London for now, but within the 18 months of my contract I'll probably move back to my home country, which are The Netherlands. Obviously, I won't pay international rates and roaming fees when I use my iPhone when I'm back in my home country. Is there any way I can get a Dutch contract or sim card on my iPhone once I'm back? An iPhone sim-only contract maybe? Or does Apple seriously force my to buy another iPhone 3G when I move back? That would be completely insane.

Usually, people sell their phone in their current country and buy another in their new country.
You can certainly ask O2 to unlock it for you. You might ring up the Queen and ask her as well. I suspect the latter is about as likely to produce results as the former...

  • Moved to another country

... but I still have an active itunes match subscription (until Nov 2013) and I cannot change the country unless I cancel itunes match.
Is there no way to continue/keep exising itunes match whilst changing the country???? This is really not user friendly.

I agree with you enitrely... I don't want "1 store to rule them all" either. And I understand that regional differences in laws and fees when it comes to protectecting intellectual property will never allow this to happen anyway.
But the concept of Match is surely embracing globalization and therefore should be above any regional country boundary - the current Apple policy seems somewhat contradictory in this sense. Match effectively blocks my ability to switch between legitimate billing addresses in different countries and ultimately stops me from shopping with iTunes in different regions - annoying to me whilst reducing Apple's bottom line at the end of the day.
All I want to be able to do is have my library available online so I can stream it whenever and wherever... it's stuff I have already purchased anyway, and where I am now and where I bought it from should be irrelevant.
The issue may also have to do with Apple's pricing structure from region to region. Match is $24.99 in the US and around $35 in the UK... bizarre if you ask me! And Google provide this service free of charge which is kind of irksome to loyal Apple customers.
