Moving Transport Request ID

Hi,
I want to move my Transport Request ID from one project to another. By mistake it is not assigned to any project it is saved as local object , now I want to move it to another project, so that I can release my task.
How is it possible ??
I will definately reward points for this.
Rgds,
Anid

Hi,
if you have saved as local object then package will be $tmp.
for suppose you have saved the report as local object.
Now follow the following path to place it as a task in request number of project you wish.
in se38 goto --> object directory entry.
now here you have give the package name differently not the $tmp. now press the change button in the popup window and change the package and press save.
Now it will ask for request number.
if you want to place as a task in the already created reuest  number then select own requests and select the request number in which you want to place. then this will be placed as task. otherwise if you want to create a new request number for this then choose create then it will be placed as task in the newly created reqyuest number.

  • Looking to confirm the successfully MOVED Transport Requests & their order

    Hi,
I have manually ordered about 20 requests which were successfully transported from Dev to Quality; After 6 months of testing, I now need to move them to production.
Is there a way to know these objects which were successfully moved by Basis to Quality in the order in which they were moved (Those days there were a number of them which failed and had to be fixed released again on Dev, etc. so it has become a bit confusing)
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for the input but I already checked se09 in DEV and it gives which transport requests I released.
But note that it is not request that I released that got moved to Quality.
Also, even for those which were moved, under Released, it only gives me the ORDER in which I released the requests and not the order in which Basis MOVED the physical objects to Quality
    Finally, you said  to
"...make sure all are transported in QA already to keep in sync ..."
what did you mean by "in sync"?
    Thanks

  • Query regarding moving transport request

    HI all,
I have query regarding moving the transport request.
I have a main program with 3 includes. I have made some changes in the 1st include and transported it to the quality(testing). Now i made changes in the 2nd include and saved it in a different request(as request for the 1st include is already released). Now i am moving the changes of the 2nd include into the production. Here I want to know whether all the changes that i have made for the 1st include also will reflect in the production when the 2nd request is moved to production( incase of 1st include, only moved till quality) or only the changes made in the 2nd include will only reflect.
Kindly clarify as soon as possible.
    Best regards
    John

    Hi,
Thank you very much for the response. I have a query regarding the same. If i am making changes only in one single report and i am moving it to the quality. Now again i am making changes in the same report and saving it in a different request and moving it to the production. in this case, i wanted to know whether the whole changes made in the first and second request will reflect in the production or only the 2nd request's change will only reflect (since it is only a single report. there is no include in the program)
    Kindly send ur suggestions.
    Best regards,
    John

    I have resolved the problem........
As per SAP note 821875 point 2(Security settings  in the message server), MSEACCESSDENIED (or rc= -20)  errors message can  occur if the parameter rdisp/msserv_internal is not  defined with 0 value
We have removed rdisp/msserv_internal from instance  profile, and add it again in the DEFAULT profile with 0 value. Remember that, after this, it's important to check that the value has  been correctly   changed in the correct file DEFAULT.PFL
After this, we have  restarted  the instance.
I have attached also the following SAP note for  information:

  • BW Authorization Object to restrict Transporting Requests

    Hi...
In our BW systems, all the developers are given the profile SAP_ALL. So, the developers have the access to transport their objects from BW Development(BWD) client to BW Quality(BWQ) Client and from BWQ to BW Production client (BWP).
I want to restrict the developers to do the transports. What is the authorization object used to restrict the users to transport requests?
Any documentation how to do that?
    Thanks,
    Sai.

It can be done with the authorization objects S_TRANSPRT and S_CTS_ADMI.
S_TRANSPRT creating transport request and S_CTS_ADMI for moving transport request.
I would like to work on that project where I can get SAP_ALL access..:)
    Check the documentation.

  • Unorganized Transport Request

    Hi Guys,
It was my first time to use transport organizer. But I observed that there some function modules are separate from the function groups, and tables. Which I remember I saved them in the right groups. Maybe I wasn't aware saving the trasnport numbers. Do I have to create another transport request and transfer the objects to it?How will I transfer function modules in the right transport number. Some objects are already released. How will I cancel the released object?

    Hi Maui,
There is no need to have concern about the already moved transport request coz when you will transport new request, it will update the objects with the new request. However if you are still not sure of the objects that have been transported, you can ask Basis ppl to revert the previous transport request by giving CTS #.
As far as new transport request is concerned, just go to each object that you want to transport and open in change mode and save/activate it, it will ask for new CTS #. Save all required objects under that CTS # and transport this CTS # to the other client.
    Hope you got some idea.
    Cheers,
    Vikram

  • Open transport request in Development server which is not moved to Producti

    HI All,
    I am doing upgrade from ECC5.0 to ECC6. EHP4.
We have some open Transport request in development server which are not moved to PRD.
Now client wants to stabilize their both the systems, want to compare each trasport in PRD.
My question is, if they dont want that request to move to PRD, what we have to do?
We have to delete the tranport and select the active version of tranport which is there in PRD or how.
Please suggest me how to proceed for this scenario. we have lot of transports. ( Tables, programs, classes, methods, etc.,)
    Regards,
    sarath

    Hello Sarath,
1st question: did you already finish your upgrade? If not, at which phase is it at?
2nd: did you upgrade your DEV system already to the same level as PRD?
3rd: were these transports generated in an old version (like ECC 5.0)? If yes, and now you have an ECC 6.0 system, you must not import them on this system, as they have different versions. If you do it, you'll make your system inconsistent.
Please clarify on these points so we can help you.
    Best regards,

  • Moving object from one client to another using transport requests...

    Hi,
If we want to move one object from one client to another, we go to se09 and release it. I know this. But after release what are the next steps to move it from one system to another ?
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hello Rajesh
If the two systems share a <u>common</u> transport directory then you can simply go to transaction <b>STMS</b>, double-click on the <b>import queue</b> (target system), then choose menu <b>Extras -> Other Requests -> Add.</b>
The transport request will be added to the import buffer. Next you can import the request.
If the two systems do not share a common transport directory you can use RFC-enabled function module <b>EPS_FTP_PUT</b> to copy the data and cofile from the source to the target system (check for <b>DIR_TRANS</b> directories using transaction AL11).

  • Moving object from one transport request to another

    Hi Gurus,
Am Having one query that i have been done some changes in the report and saved on one transport reuest number, but one function module which i have beeen used in the program saved in diffrent request and it contains some other objects, now i can i individually move the FM to other transport request number,Give me some ideas.

    Dinesh,
If the requests are not yet released then you can delete the object from the TR manually and then add it to the other TR manually or tag by doing a minor change. For ex
    TR 1 Objects list
    REPORT ZXYZ
    TR 2 Objects list
    REPORT ZABC
    FM ZZASDEF
1.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually and add it manually in TR 1,provided you know how to add the objects manually.
    or
2.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually.Go to the corresponding objects of the FM do a minor change, save, activate. Now it will ask for a TR,at this time choose OWN REQUEST and select TR1.
    Thanks,
    K.Kiran.

    Hi,
Check TMS configuration for your production system to domain controller.
Go to STMS_DOM --> select production system --> then from menu select SAP system --> check --> transport directory, connection test , transport tool.
Also check RFC (something like TMSADM@<SID>.DOMAIN_<SID> )between domain controller and production server vice a versa.

  • Function Module not being displayed in the Transport Request

    Hi,
I Created a FM "RH_ACTIVATE_WFOBJECT_AFTER_IMP"  in my SAP System. After I created due to problem in editing I have deleted the FM and also deleted it from the request.
I have re created the function module and if I see the object directory entry I find the following
    Identical request locks
    Request              User         Task/request         Object
                       ****            *****                       R3TR FUGR RHWS
In the request I cannot find the function module but only the function group. Please help me to get my function module visible in the transport request.

    Hi ,
When your creating the FM for first timw with new FGRP then no need to worry .
You can see only the FGRP in the transport request number and when you move this transport request to further systems your FM automatically transport with the FGRP.
Next time when your creating a new FM under the FGRP which is already moved to production you can see only your FM name under the transport request.
When you go to FGRP main program by follwing the path
FGRP -> Disply FGRP in SE37 you can see the main program of the FGRP there if you see one include with TOP and XX .
double click on the XX Include.
there you can see allthe FM under that FGRP.
    Thanks

I am looking forward to implement SAPKW70017, I  need to know the CONS of SP17, what was the reason which made you implement SP17, just to have updated Version of SP or did you face with any problems and decided to update the SP? what was the previous SP which you had,
We have problems in F4 search help when running queries, SAP asked us to implement latest which is SP17, but wanted to make sure what would be the CONS before we do it, we are having SP15 in BI 7.0

  • Re-transport the transport request to NQA server after system refresh

    Hi
Users are moving the transport requests in NQA (quality server) using STMS tcode and Basis team is moving the trasnport requests using TP command in operating system level.
There are some transport requests that are released and are moved only to NQA server but not in Production server.
After the NQA refresh from Production server, we need to re-create the trasnport route for NQA server
in NQA using SE06 and STMS.
Now users want to re-transport the requests again in NQA server that was moved to NQA before the system copy but they are not able to make it.  In the transport queue, users are able to see their transport requests but they are not able to re-transport.
When basis team try to move the same transport requests using TP command in operating system level, it failed with  error:

the cofile using the command "createinfo".
We used the following method to re-transport the requests to NQA server:
"STMS --> Request -->Delete (the request number)" method delete the transport request from transport queue and from the cofiles/data directory of the operating system and then  " STMS --> extra-> other request-> add" allow us to put the transport request back to transport queue in NQA server. Once the transport requests are in queue, we can re-transport all of them one by one or in group.
Question: Is it the right way to re-transport the request in NQA (first delete if from transport queue and then add and then re-import in NQA server).
Id there is any other way to re-transport the requests, pls suggest us.
    Thanks
    Amar

    Amar,
Depending on how many tarnsports you have and also if this is one time, what you can do is ask Basis guys to write a small script which adds to the buffer to your NQA system.
    Steps:
    1) under /usr/sap/trans/buffer rename the NQA buffer file.
    2) create a new empty file NQA (make sure permissions are identical)
    3) Provide the list of transports and ask Basis team to put it in a file at Unix level
    4) Run a script which will add to the buffer from the source file.
    5) From STMS refresh the NQA queue and you should see all the transports ready for import.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • 2 Transport Request for a report

    Hi Experts,
I am having 2 Transport requests for the same Z report (classical report).
I have transported both of them to quality on after another with different modifications in both of them.
Now i want to transport it to Production.
I want to know do i need to transport both the requests or do i need to transport only the last
    Transport request to production ?
    Please help <removed by moderator>.
Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Jun 16, 2011 10:33 AM

    Hi,
As per SAP Best practice there shouldnt be any floating TRs in Quality system which are not moved to Production. Which means all the transports which move from Dev to Quality should be moved to Production. If there is any unwanted change which is moved due to a TR, then a correction request should be created & released to subsequent systems.
Hence in your case move both the TRs in the same sequence to Production.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
    Prashant
