Moving upgrade version of CS 5.5 Design Premium to new computer with valid serial number but cannot find original CS 4 Design Premium serial number so will not accept
I am trying to move a fully licensed/registered version of Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium to a new computer, but since it was an upgrade from CS 4 Design Premium the installer says that it cannot find the software that allows it to be an upgrade. I have the old computer and still see the CS 4 installed, but cannot locate the Design Premium serial number. I do not have the original DVD or box for the CS 4 but have all for the CS 5.5.
If you sign in to your Adobe account online you might be able to find the serial number for your CS4 installation.

You can download and install the CS 5.5 directly on to the new computer WITHOUT having the older version. But make sure you have the current version (CS5.5) and the older version serial numbers.
During the installation of CS 5.5 it will prompt you to enter the current version serial number as well as the older version serial number. -
I have Logic Studio 9 with all the disks and serial number, I have registered my software about three years ago and I cannot find my orginal dongle version/disks/serial number .
How do I install Logic Studio 9 upgrade without them on my reformatted MAC. I don't really feel like paying out for the download version when I have all the software I need already. Can anyone at Apple help me, I need the spare money I have for Final Cut Pro.

1. You bought a used/refurbished Mac and there is software on it without any accompanying discs, and it is older than July 20, 2011 in model release:

Or if it is at or newer, then erase it if it has applications installed that would not have been prebundled with it and you have no CDs for those applications.
You don't want someone else's software keys, or accounts, or to be running unlicensed software. At and newer Macs offer a built-in internet restore for their software with a command-R boot that lets you erase the system with Disk Utility, and then install from the internet the latest operating system.
2. You have a hardware issue and want to eliminate possible software issues as the cause when troubleshooting a problem all at once.
Issues affecting a new install have to be isolated before you attempt it. Unless you know it is software or hardware, erasing may only mask other problems. -

I have asked Adope if it was possible to update from this to CS5.5 Design Premium. The answer was, that it was ok for a price round 100 €.
I bought it and under installation it wanted first the new serial number and next the 'old number' (because the old CS was not installed).
The new one is not installed any where els.
Im am working on a MacBook Pro.
The number not accepted is the old CS3 number.

Probably won't work. You can buy a full license for CS6 which is already two versions and soon to be three out of date or you can subscribe to Creative Cloud.

Forget about all the versions you already have (5.0 through to CS2). They will no longer work and the serial numbers are redundant.
Download the non-activation version of CS2 form the link provided by kglad and use the new non-activation serial number provided at that link. Your existing serial number(s) will no longer work.
Note: there is no guarantee that CS2 will run well on Win 8.1. Try it and see. -

iTunes in Mac OS X Tiger is outdated. Open > Software Update to install the latest iTunes version for Tiger.

Your MacBook is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8, which is the minimum required to install the current version of iTunes and sync devices running iOS 7. It doesn't need to be compatible with Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks.

What are we talking about here? You've posted in a Windows forum, but seems you are referring to an iMac. But you are not referring to OS X version numbers. Maybe you should make clear what you want.
