Moving Videos Around With Zen Visio

Hi all, I need some help with my videos on my new ZEN V:M. I have already put some videos on there and they are under the main Video folder, however I would like to put them into a sub-folder within the Video folder. The ony problem is?Zen M Explorer won't let me transfer them into the sub-folder. I try to drag and drop but nothing happens. I try to copy and paste but nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

<EM>My second Zen has been performing ok since I cleaned it up. Hopefully this will solve problem. If it continues, I will be purchasing an Ipod.</EM>
<EM></EM>
John that is exactly what I opted to do. I was just too nervous making this kind of investment to have the customer service response so lacking, along with the weak warranty.
I got an iPod, though I really didn't want too. I was able to get the Hi-Fi speaker system, JVC car adapter kit so that the text information and control of my iPod is done via my JVC head unit. These two things alone made the switch worth while. I really like the ZV:M, but with the above mentioned issues and no real accessories this was a no brainer. I know folks say on the display isn't as good, but it is good enough for watching video podcast occasionally, I didn't buy the ZV:M or iPod to watch videos. But I can tell you the touch pad is better and doesn't dri've nuts.
By the way I've not had one single issue. No clattering MP3 playback and no freezing up... not a single time and I've used the iPod for going on 4 days. Today was the first full day I used it on the road in my truck, in the office and to take a slow walk around the property to check on my animals. Flawless performance! I am happy! If only I could have had this with the Zen Vision:M. I really wanted to support Creative, but this is what happens when you don't do a better job with quality control and testing your product. I had not realize that Creative is actually in 3rd place, well behind San Disk which is in 2nd place by a country mile behind Apple. Now I understand why no one makes accessories for the Creative MP3 players.

  • Some problems with zen visio

    Hi. i had selected a picture for my vision's wallpaper bt i notice then when u navigate thru the menu, the words(as in the from the next page) will slide from left of the screen to the centre right? But my wallpaper seems to slide together with the words, as in like a new one shift from the left to cover the current one. Can i ask if your zen vision M is also like this?
    Also, i noticed that on my screen, there is a line of abt 0.5cm, like tiny water droplets inside the screen, which when u look at the screen from different angle, the colors there kinda become distorted. Shld i go change my player?Message Edited by nigel_3plus on 0-3-2006 0:54 AM

    And what do you think they are?

  • No firmware and no contact with PC with zen visio

    I wanted to upgrade firmware and followed an instruction that told me to rebuild firmware first and then install the firmware upgrade. The update program doesnt say it is docked - although it states docked in the Vision M screen.
    Appreciate any helpMessage Edited by borge on 04-3-20070:50 PM

    Ok, I am assuming that either pc suite is so buggy that no one has had a chance to emulate this or that no one has this issue other than me and everyone is synchronising their outlook contacts with their N70 and are still able to us voice Tags?
    If anyone is experiencing this issue can they please let me know I am not the only person having this problem or preferably if anyone knows a fix please let me know so I can either ignore and forget ever using voice tags or allow me to use what would be a really useful feature?
    I am beginning to think this may be like a Microsoft built in feature

  • Putting Video on my Zen Visio

    How do I put my own, already owned DVD's onto my player? I've tried to format the video and everything, but I can't get the movies on there, there is more than enough room, but they just wont transfer.

    In some countries its no legal to copy already owned comercialy bought DVDs and as creative operate globaly, and this is a global message board they do not allow discussion of grey areas like this.
    instead you could try other forums such as epizenter, and anything but ipod?

    Have you tried plugging in the Zen and seeing if it charges, even though it doesnt' seem to show that it is charging? Also, you might want to update your firmware, see if that does anything.

  • Can't Upload video files onto Zen Visio

    Well the title pretty much explains it... i've followed the guide in the intructions book and i still can't get it to work. do i have to download some sort of codec's for it or something?Message Edited by Oshapash on 2-02-20070: PM

    I have had this same problem I believe. If you find the video file on your computer and right click on it, go to properties, click on the details tab, and find the Audio title. If the quality is above 28 kbps it will not be able to be put on your player.
    The video converter does not reduce the audio quality so that it will work, it only converts the video....stupid Yes! If you can find a solution to this problem, please let me know!

  • Connection problem with Zen visio

    I wanted to sync the player today and my PC did not recognize it
    steps I tried to:
    reboot the player
    2 use different USB cable
    3 install software onto a different PC
    ... and no luck
    so what could be wrong? I never dropped this player and it is working fine for the most part
    Creative support is hard to reach even through e-mail. If I knew this product would cause so much grief I would get an Ipod

    hi! nobody a clue what could be wrong? :-((

  • Moving around with the MBA

    Is there any concerns about moving/travelling around with the MBA (HDD version)?
    I am wondering specifically about causing any damage to the HDD while holding the MBA vertically in a travel pouch for example and moving from home to bus to school to car to work, etc?

    There some rather inaccurate information below and I'll point them out:

    The best thing to do, if you're moving about for long periods of time, is to shutdown your laptop. This effectively "parks" the needles that work on the platters of your hard-drive disks.
    When in sleep mode on all laptops, the reading heads (they aren't needles) of the hard drive parks. You don't have to turn off the laptop in order for the drive heads to park in a safe position.
    In sleep mode, you're not only losing battery life (at a slow but noticeable trickle) but you're not fully "parked" and, thus, there is the possibility that you'll experience a hard-drive fault (a physical fault which is BAD) and have to pay for another hard-drive.
    It is true that when in sleep mode, a little bit of battery life is being used but not much. The issue about the hard drive is a moot point because the reading heads of the hard drive is parked when the laptop is asleep.
    Rules of thumb:
    * If you're moving about the house or office: you might want to "sleep" the laptop during transit.
    * If you're not planning on using the laptop for an hour or so: sleep it.
    * If you're taking your laptop from the office to the car and then driving home: shutdown.
    I don't think these are necessarily good rules of thumb. Sleeping the laptop anytime during any kind of transit is fine. Indeed, if you plan to go on a long journey say over 10 hours, then shutting down the laptop is fine but you can also put it on sleep mode and nothing bad will happen.

  • Two objects moving around with mouse

    I'm making a catching game and I only wanted the falling objects hit certain area on my catcher. My catcher is a girl with mouth open and I wanted the falling objects to hit only the mouth, not any other parts of her body like arms. So I made two objects, the full girl and just the mouth. How do I make the two objects (movieclips) move around with the mouse?
    I tried to embed one object into another but it didn't work....
    This is actionscript I wrote so far:

                        objects.splice(i,1);
                    if (objects[i].hitTestObject(girlmouthfront)) {
                        if (objects[i].typestr == "good") {
                            score += 5;
                        } else {
                            score += 5;

                        removeChild(objects[i]);
                        objects.splice(i,1);
                girlmouthfront.x = mouseX;

    Never mind. I got everything to work. Thanks for your help! I changed my code to:
    [code]
    public class CatchingSkittles extends MovieClip {
            var girlmouth:GirlMouth;
            var girlmouthfront:GirlMouthFront;
            var nextObject:Timer;
            var objects:Array = new Array();
            var score:int = 0;
            const speed:Number = 7.0;
            public function CatchingSkittles() {
                girlmouthfront = new GirlMouthFront();
                girlmouthfront.y = -49.00;
                girlmouth = new GirlMouth();
                girlmouth.y = 308.55;
                addChild(girlmouth);
                girlmouth.addChild(girlmouthfront);
                setNextObject();
                addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, moveObjects);

  • My screen keeps moving around with the cursor?

    HI everyone out there. i just got back from my 2 week honeymoon and had my G5 power mac, with a 27inch cinema display powered off the whole time. I turned it on and the screen is zoomed out a little bit. and when I move the mouse cursor around the screen image moves around with it as much as an inch or so. Did I catch a virus? or is there a setting my house guests might have touched, even though i am pretty sure they were not on it at all? Any help will do. I am updating the software right now to make sure it isn't that.

    You've inadvertently hit the key combination for screen zoom, probably. Go into System Preferences -> Universal Access and turn off the zoom function.
    Or, Command-Option-hyphen will unzoom the screen, and Command-option-equals will zoom (which is probably what got accidentally typed).

  • ZISD sector a moving target with ZEN 7?

    I participated in a thread on ENGL's forums concernign their ActiveX
    control for reading the ZISD data from within Windows using VBScript. I
    asked them if it was OK to use the v1.0 of their ActiveX control with
    ZEN 6.5 and ZEN 7.0 (it only listed ZEN 3.x-4.0).
    Heath said they plan on releasing a ZEN 6.5/7.0 compatible version in
    January 2006, which is good.
    I asked him why they needed to release a new version, and he said
    something along the lines of with ZEN 7, the ZISD isn't always located
    at Sector 6 like it was in older versions of ZEN Imaging. Here is what
    he said:
    "The current release of ZisdCtrl supports ZISD @ sector 6, with ZENworks
    7 ZISD may not necessarily be written at sector 6."
    Does anyone have any info on this kind of thing? I am interested in
    knowin gwhat some of these changes are and why they were made.
    I cannot find anything on Novell's site.

    The info from Heath is correct, it ZISD isn't alway's at sector 6
    The reason why is because als GRUB likes to use the first few sectors on the
    disk, and as such imaging had some problems with Linux Machines using GRUB.
