Moving webservice to production

Dear All,
I have created a client proxy using the webservice created by webmethods in Development client, also created port using lpconfig in development, everything seems to work fine but now i came to know that the WSDL file URL of webmethods quality server ( webmethos dev wsdl file : https:server1......, quality wsdl file : https:server2......) differ form that of a development. Now can you people tell me how to move my client proxy to production ( do i need to again create the proxy, port in quality ? or ..... )

Hi,
Are you referring to an Abap client proxy in this scenario? If so, then transporting your client proxy from Dev to Quality works the same as any other Abap development.
You'll need to create a new logical port in Quality (because it sounds like you have a new webmethods endpoint) once you've transported your Abap client proxy across.

I am trying to copy photos from an iPad to a Mac Air, but iPhoto does not recognize them. Please forgive the ignorance, but we have just started moving to apple products and I know nothing about them. Do you have to use PhotoStream to do this?

How did the photos that you want to copy off get on the iPad  ? To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you should be able to use iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • ChaRM - Moving Transports to Production

    Hi,
In ChaRM when we move transports to the production system either via a batch job or manually from the SCMA transaction we find that some SDHF corrections which are in the To Be Tested state are moved to production system along with the normal corrections. can this be prevented in some way ?
    Regards,
    Vinod

Let me add some more information....
We are having an issue where SDHF Transports in a status of "To Be Tested" are imported in production along with Normal Correction Transports when the Maintenance Cycle is set to "Go-Live". It was previously our understanding that when SCMA is used to import Transports for a Maintenance Cycle project, SDHF Transports that are still in a "To Be Tested" status will not be imported until they were successfully tested and received Change Manager approval. SAP recommends that we implement a manual process to review / address open SDHFcorrections and ensure they are either in the status of "In Development" or have been manually imported prior to setting the Maintenance Cycle to "Go Live". Due to the amount of SDHF Corrections that we implement for the HCM system, this will be a difficult manual task.

can any one please let me know the procedure for moving the applications from Development server to Production server with steps in 7.1.3 version for ASO application.
    Regards

    Hi,
    1. As Atul said, use migration wizard , thats one way
    2. In your EAS console, add both the analytic server ( one of dev and the other one of production) and you can copy an application to other ( it copies all the data base objects like scripts , rule files , calc script ...etc) . But, got to load data into it.
    Hope it helps

  • The sequence of moving TR to production

Hi Expert, current the solution is I have appended the structure for 2LIS_11_VAITM and code change in CMOD. now I need to move the TR to production.
I think the sequence will be below,:
1.[R3] LBWE schedule a job to move data from update queue(lbwq) to delta queue (rsa7)
2.[BW] run delta infopackage to load data from r3 delta queue
3.Make sure that both LBWQ and RSA7 is empty (for 2lis_11_vaitm)
4.[R3] move R3 TR to production system.
    5.[BW] datasource replication and initialization<?>
6.[BW] move BW TR to production system.
one thing I am not sure is that the datasource initialization should be done before the BW tr transport or after that.
please fell free add your comments. thank you in advance.
Edited by: YAODAN on Jun 18, 2011 6:36 PM

If it is 3.x flow then you have to move BW TR before performing Initialization.
If it is 7.0 flow then you can do initialization before or after moving BW TR.  It depends on only datasource replication.  The mandatory thing is, you have to replicate your Datasoure before initialization.
The other steps in the sequence are perfect.

  • Unable to modify Namespace on Exported Lists when moving to QC / Production

I've created several lists and infopath based on external content types (SQL Server) and was able to export / import the ECTs to QC server environment - with no issues.
However, any and all attempts to migrate my lists and forms that use the ECTs - results in a failure because i cannot change the development URL (namespace) to a QC / Production URL.
It's frustrating that "migration" or "deployment" doesn't have support for modifying the actual URL used by created Lists/Forms "built in".
My first thought was "Content Deployment", but I was told that doesn't work with ECTs...
    Any help would be appreciated.
    - Dan

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to
migrate several lists and forms based on external content types to QC server environment.
I recommend that you can export the external content types to
an XML file which are saved with a .bdcm file extension first
by using the SharePoint Designer 2010 or using the Business Data Connectivity Service Application in Central Administration.
Then, you can find <Entity Namespace> in the XML file and you can modify the URL to your
QC server environment URL and migrate the external lists to your product environment.
In addition, you can try to save the site containing the External List and forms as a template. This template will appear as a WSP file in the Site Collection gallery.
And, you can save the WSP file out of the gallery, and open the WSP file in Visual Studio 2010 using the import WSP project.
Then, you can make a new WSP file and move the External lists to your product environment by deploy them with a feature.
For more information, you can refer to:

  • Help in moving ODI to Production

    Hi,
I need help in migrating ODI from Development to Production.
The Development repositories point to the development work & master schemas.
The Production repositories point to the production work & master schemas.
I have setup the production repositories with different internal Ids.
The production's work repository is in Execution mode.
Now how do I go about importing the development scenarios into production?
Can somebody please give me step by step details?
    Thanks,
    Ruby

    Thanks for all your replies!
I intent to use the same Context in production.
Say for example my Logical Schema is TESTX that points to X schema in my development system. The physical schema is also TESTX.
All the scenarios in my development have the Logical schema as TESTX.
Now before I import these scenarios into Production system, I need to import Topology from Development into Production & change the data server of this Physical schema TESTX to point to the production schema right?
& after importing the Topology from Dev to Prod system, can I delete the data servers that are not needed to show up on production's Topology Manager?
    Thanks,
    Ruby

  • What standards to you follow for moving processes into production?

During our last audit, one of the findings is that we should not have the OWB production repository open to all of the developers at all times. As a result of this finding, we allow the developers to develop in the OWB development repository. We have not yet established a promotion process that we are completely comfortable with. What processes do other ogranizations follow that enable us to lock down the production environment and yet provide a mechanism that processes can be promoted into production?

    Hi,
    Its pretty easy, once your development completed;
    1) export to mdl file (OWB metadata) the ne or modified objects
    2) create a generic OMBPlus script that will perform all required tasks
    -register you locations
-deploy connectors, objects, process flow & perform the required grants
We have been doing this for over 4 years now... The Dba can't be more pleased as they just need to execute a single script and send us the log file.
Now creating that generic script is not easy but its worth it. We have close to 20 owb environment. Every time a new project starts, we trash one environment, put up out "template dbs" (sources & target) and run OMPPlus which will deploy every single object and perform the grants, etc... w/o any supervision.
BTW in a multiple environment situation(like ours), the script is also used to perform the retrofits!

  • Trouble deploying Weblogic Workshop Webservice in Production Mode

    Hi,
We have created a set of Web Services using Web Logic Workshop. They work fine
on the development server(Weblogic 7.0 SP4) when run from Workshop. We packaged
the Services into an EAR file and deployed them on the Production Server (Weblogic

Can you check the startweblogic.cmd script and verify that the following

  • Buttons Keep Moving In Finished Product

Every time I open a particular project the buttons move to places other than where I placed them when I saved the project. I marked the "free positioning" button before I saved the project. How do I stop them from doing that?

iDVD is a consumer application. Maybe even a Prosumer app. But it is not a professional application. For this one would need DVDSP or Final Cut Studio.
Consumer apps tend to work with assumed calculations and/or settings. Professional apps like FCP and DVDSP won't assume much of anything. You need to tell it what it is you wish to do. And you have much greater control of all aspects of authoring a DVD.
My suggestion is to look into DVDSP / Final Cut Studio for more precise control over all of these features.

  • How to find the date when object is moved from quality to production server

    Hi Experts,
I am working with BADI ZMM_PUR_REQ_PROC_001-Method Check and BADI ZME_PROCESS_PO_CUST-Method Check.
I need to add a check that a particular logic should be implemented only after this object is moved to the production server.
How can i check the date when an object (in my case this BADI) is moved to the production server?
    <Removed by moderator>
    Thanks in advance.
Edited by: Vinod Kumar on Aug 1, 2011 10:55 AM

    Hi Sakshi,
So your reqt is that the documents created after your Transport implementation date should pass the check and others (old ones) should ignore.
I will recommend, if at all possible, to make all the old documents compatible to your check by doing a separate initial loading /one time activity to avoid this kind of hardcoding.
IF not at all possible to do so, then I think you should better hardcode your Transport req number and fetch date (AS4DATE) from E070 table and only if any entry exists, use that date as your required date. I believe this will be the date of transport imported in the target system.
You can avoid hardcoding Transport number by picking latest transport with respect to your object (BADI) using E071 table, but that will go wrong once you send any future changes in this BADI to Prod, so better to hardcode the transport.

    Diwakar
