Moving Zones between Sun and Fujitsu

Hi,
I have two new M4000 running some zones. Is it possible to use my old hardware, which is Fujitsu Siemens PrimePower 650, as a backup.
I want to move the zones with zoneadm detach/attach from M4000 (sun4u) to PP650 (sun4us). With the -u Option, it should be possible to move zones between different architectures (e.g. from sun4u to sun4v).
Does this also work with Fujitsu`s architecture sun4us?
I am using sparse zones, so only /etc and /opt are moved between the systems.
Regards,
Hans-Jürgen

  • Difference between Sun and IBM JSSE implementations?

    Hi!
We have an applet done with Sun JDK 1.4.2-03 which has to connect a domino server in SSL mode.
During the handshake the connection breaks down.
The most surpising thing is to use IBM JDK to generate the applet, and the applet works.
So we are thinking that there are some differences between these jdk (and so jre) which makes connections available or not.
Does or did someone have the same problem, and find a solution ?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Moving files between iphone and pc

    hi
haw can i move files between iphone and pc, and haw can i explore file and folders tree in iphone ?
do i need to install a third party software ? which one ?
    thank you

You can't browse the iPhone's filesystem and directly move file to/from the phone. There obviously is some software anywhere out there capable of doing this.
However, these are Apple's forums, and as breaking the phone and using third party software is at this point of time not allowed, you should not ask here about this software.

  • Bluetooth icon thingy has moved in between clock and spotlight?

Yeah, i have no idea what category the "problem" (more cosmetic than function-related) belongs... I have somehow managed to move my bluetooth icon from the left side of the time to the right side of the time (between spotlight and clock)...
    A picture:
    http://thor.webfront.dk/files/img1172752116797.png
I've talked to a rather experienced mac using friend of mine, and he has no clue of how this could have happened... According to him, it should be impossible - but I've done it anyway...
Anyone know how to move the icon back on the left side of the clock?
    Edit:
What is that row of icons called, anyways? Process Bar, like in windows?
MBP 15.4" 2.33GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   AEBS, most likely an aTV-station in the near future

Have you tried going into the Bluetooth Preference Pane and switiching it off and back on? Failing that, trashing the com.apple.sysmtemUIserver.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder will reset all the options up there to default.
Menu Items seems like a reasonable name?

  • Moving Data Between PC and new MBP

I am capturing on a PC (TV Tuner) with files that are roughly 5GB in size, with events totaling as much as 50 GB. I am going to edit them in FCS on my Mac.
I was wondering if someone can suggest a portable HD that works on both reliably. I was thinking that I would want firewire 800, eSata, and USB 2.0 .
is there a better way to do this?

Most any USB or Firewire drive should work, but you would need to use either Fat32 or NTFS format as Windows can't read the OS X file system
If your router has a USB port and network drive capability, you might consider setting up a network drive, as you wouldn't need to keep moving it back and forth between computers.
You could also set up an external drive as a shared network resource on whichever computer it's connected to so it could be accessed from the other computer without actually having to move it.

  • I'm having a problem with downloading multiple app updates and moving songs between iTunes and my external hard drive.

I'm having two problems with iTunes, but I'm not sure if they're related issues. First, when I try to click "Download All Updates" for apps, only one update will download and I will get successive error messages for all of the other updates. However, if I click update for each individual app, they download fine. Why am I not able to download all app updates simultaneously now.
My second issue is that I cannot move songs from iTunes to my external hard drive or vice versa. When I drag the files, the blue plus sign appears, but the file does not appear where I moved it to.
Both issues have been occuring for about month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
The other issue doesn't ring any bells.

  • Sun and windows email forwarding - between sun and exchange

We have two Sun servers running Solaris 10 and a Windows based network that handles all our external email thru MS exchange 2003. Id like to setup the email service from the Sun server to be able to send emails to the MS exchange server (which should then be able to forward them onto the appropriate email box.).
    How can I do this?
    Is sendmail the best option?
What are the step by step tasks required to achieve this ?
I really need the process spelled out as I am not often performing admin tasks, suggestions most welcome

Well, Sun support solved this one ...
If you make the Exchange server the smart relay for the Sun servers then any local email (on the server) is delivered locally, but any email
that is not for a local user will be sent to the Exchange server.
To set the smart relay you need to edit the sendmail.cf file, which is located in /etc/mail.
First make a backup copy of the sendmail.cf file, then open the sendmail.cf file in a text editor.
    Find the following lines:
    # "Smart" relay host (may be null)
    DS
You need to add either the ip address of the Exchange server to the "DS" line as in the example below
    DS123.123.123.123
After saving your changes you will need to restart sendmail with the following command
    svcadm restart svc:/network/smtp:sendmail
Now test that mail is working properly, if not restore your original sendmail.cf file from the copy made and restart sendmail again.

Use a monospaced font and you shouldn't have a problem.

  • Moving files between iMac and Macbook Pro results in permissions error

This is probably a very simple issue but I can not for the life of me figure out how to fix it.
I've moved a folder of raw .nef photos to my public folder on my iMac from my Macbook Pro via file sharing. Upon attempting to open the files on my iMac in finder or Adobe Bridge CS5 I get "You do not have permission to open the document..." "Contact your computer or network administrator for assistance".
    Thanks in advance,
    Tony

You'll have to give yourself permission to the files. Do a +Get Info+ via the Finder, click the padlock at the lower right, and enter your Admin password.
Then click the plus sign at the bottom, and select your user account. That will give you Read rights. Click the arrows in front of +Read Only+ and select +Read & Write.+
If they're all in a folder, do this on the folder, then click the "gear" icon and select +Apply to enclosed items.+ That may take a while if there are a lot of files.

  • Moving projects between laptop and PC

We have a server in the home where all the photo's are stored. My wife wants to be able to tag and manipulate the photo's on the server but also wants to be able to take her lap top outside of the home and show people whats she's working on.
What is the best way to do this to maintain a sync between laptop work and server work?
Does she need to move EVERYTHING off the server into her lap top then move it back when she is done working on it away from home? That seems time intensive and makes me nervous if she is rewriting over the contents on the server.
Or can she only move the current "project" however that is defined in elements to her computer and only that portion would be updated on the server when she got back home? My primary concern is that the server copy remains relatively error free and there are no mistakes that would wipe out years of photo's. Although the server has redundancy if the mistake wasnt noticed and the server ran it's backup routine I would not be able to roll back changes.
Perhaps getting her an external hard drive to carry around with a copy of all the pictures on it then having her just back up that hard drive to the server is a good answer but I don't know if there is an easier solution.
    Thanks for any help,
    Elements noob

    There is a simple solution:
It seems to me that when your wife is showing the photos on her notebook, the tags are completely irrelevant -- it's only the photos that matter.
She can keep a copy of the photos on her notebook and show or edit them there, then simply upload any changed photos to the server.
You can use Organizer's Edit...Update thumbnails to update the display in Organizer.

  • Moving raidset between K9A and K9A2

    Hi,
I have a raid set (concatenated stripe) on a K9A and I was wondering if the K9A2 will be able to recognise the same volume.
(Yes I know a stripe isn't resilient, but I have another disc to which I make copies).
My reading of the specifications for the K9A2 is that it uses the same SB600 chipset as the K9A so it should trivial to move between the two, right?
    Thanks in advance

The Promise doesn't work with all SATA drives.
Best use the ATI if the Promise gives troubles.
However, 1 SAS drive blows all the others away in speed, worth thinking about as SAS isn't more expensive then a Raptor.
Unbelievable.... I have finally got a RAID-1 configuration on the K9A2's Promise controller (yeh, I was *determined* to see if it worked).... and here's the log

  • Moving buttons between submenus - and resulting selection order

OK, I thought I knew how iDVD sequenced its button selections - essentially by cartesian (x, y) coordinates across the screen.
However in a current project I have cut-and-pasted chapter buttons and groups of chapter buttons from one submenu to another, then arranged them freely to give the appearance I want.
But when I create the disk image and test the DVD, the button sequence is often all over the place, eg pressing "up" from the forward arrow button selects the second chapter title in the list of five above, rather than either the first or the last.
So, is there any way in iDVD to force a certain button selection sequence, or to-reorder the button sequence (without of course changing what those buttons point to)?
Unfortunately myDVDedit does not (yet) allow you to modify the button selection sequence of an existing DVD image, so I need to get it right before I create the image.
    Thanks for any help.

    Sue,
Thanks - the FAQ got me part of the way there - at least far enough that I could work out the rest myself.
The problem comes about because pasting a button from one menu to another in "free placement" mode results in a difficult-to-predict button number being assigned to the pasted button.
The way to fix it is to reselect "snap to grid" on any menu where you have cut-and-pasted buttons. The buttons will drift back to their grid positions in the order that iDVD has assigned. It will then be clear which buttons, if any, are out of sequence. You can then drag buttons while in "snap to grid" mode to reorder them how you want.
Finally, when done, you can turn off "snap to grid" and place the buttons freely, while still retaining the sequence set by snap to grid.
    Thanks!

  • Moving data between 64bit and 32 bit oracle servers

  • File sharing between Mac and PC CS5

While our graphic designer, who uses a Mac, is on maternity leave, I am doing whatever graphics-type work we have on my work PC. I have CS5 and so does the Mac (I have checked multiple times, we both have CS5; NOT CS5.5 on either machine). I cannot open many of her InDesign files because it says that I don't have some of the same plug-ins. I have tried just copying her plug-ins, but an error occurs when I try to copy them. I realize some things may be missing, but I should at least be able to open those files. We am I missing? Or will upgrading both to CS5.5 solve this problem?
This is very frustrating as I can't really get anything done moving around between offices and computers all day; this is why we have a shared drive system. Please let me know what we can do.

If in doubt about an InDesign document version, you can use my IDentify script: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4071273#4071273 (if only to make absolutely sure these files are, in fact, '5 files, and not '5.5s).
It's strange & somewhat worrying that your InDesign won't update -- the latest version is 7.0.4 and that's what the updater ought to install. HOWEVER, I do not believe InDesign would refuse to load a document from an updated version. That just can't be right.
So, please try my little script. Just in case this co-worker happened to have the newer version somewhere at home, or something like that.

  • Unable to move webparts between zones in chrome and Firefox

    Hi Everybody,
I have created publishing site in sharepoint 2013, and no customization is done. Master page is applied - Seattle.master
Issues found - Moving webpart between different zones in webpart page is not working in chrome and firefox.
    Steps-
    1. Edit the webpart page.
    2. Add one webpart.
    3. Move or drag the webpart to other zones.
Issue - It is working fine in IE-10, but not working in chrome and firefox.
Kindly help me, if this is the Out of the box sharepoint2013 limitation for chrome and firefox. Or is there any alternate solution.
    Thanks.

    Hi Swapmil,
Choose "Edit Page" from the Site Actions menu, you can then drag web parts between web part zones. But this only works in Internet Explorer.
In other browsers you don't have drag, but you can edit the web parts and choose a new zone for it.
    Refer to the following link:
