Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
*https://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/hardware-acceleration/
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
You can also check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Toolbar+keeps+resetting
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Mozilla Firefox (not responding) happens every 9 minutes.
In Windows 7, every 9 minutes Firefox hangs for about a minute with the message "Mozilla Firefox (not responding)". After about a minute it will work just fine. It happens on all webs sites.
I've tried various things to no avail. (Disabled add-ons, etc.) I'm not even sure it's Firefox. I have a feeling it's some program checking for updates or something every nine minutes.
Does anyone have a clue what runs every 9 minutes?See [[Firefox hangs]]

Every time I open FF, the "Getting Started with Mozilla Firefox" tab opens. I have checked and it's not in my homepage list.
If I open any additional windows, it doesn't open.
But, once I close all of them and reopen it again, the tab opens.
I've had a similar problem with a couple addons (ietab) doing the same thing.about:config is typed into the address bar as if you were going to a web page.
It will popup a message warning you that you are messing with important stuff.
Just agree. -
Firefox always crashes in every 10-15 mins
Question
After i formatted the PC, firefox always crashes or closes unexpectedly in every 10-15mins, it is just 9 days since I formatted the PC, it already gets 39 crash reports! I tried to checked crash signature from all crash report that all stated "null signature". I have no idea how to fix it. I am now using firefox 6.02. I did not have any problem in the past.First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Also make sure you have plenty of free space on your iPad. 15% should be enough. If you are short on free space delete some stuff to open up more space for your iPad to operate efficiently. -
Mozilla Firefox is crashing non-stop, no matter what.
The Mozilla Crash Report appeared on my computer screen recently so I went about trying to figure out the problem. I tried to open Firefox again and it wouldn't. I opened in Safe Mode and it worked until I tried to navigate away from the start page. It crashed once again. I looked at updating Firefox, plugins, and Windows, but none worked. I tried to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software and my computer would not let me. I have looked for articles and none were successful. I do not know what to do at all. I have satellite internet so things are pretty slow going to download big programs.
Hello GloriaDublin,
Thank you for posting on Mozilla Support. We value and appreciate you as a user.
1. Click the Windows Start button, and select Run... on Windows XP or press Windows Key + R on Windows Vista/7. Type in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" including the quotation marks and click OK.
2. In the resulting folder will be a text file for each crash report you have submitted. Using the View menu, arrange them by date to find out which is the newest file; and double-click on it to open it.
3. Provide us here with the crash ids.

After Firefox's automatic update Firefox now crashes about every 15 minutes
Automatic update this am and now Firefox crashes, even in Safe mode, about every 15 - 30 minutes. Has happened at least a dozen times since ~11 am. Have tried different add-ons enabled/disabled and it makes no difference. Two add ons, for Webroot toolbar and HP websmart printing are indicated as incompatible. Running latest Windows 7. All the crashes have IDs ending with the same string of digits "2111109"

Oh and before I get disable your add ons, update and any other Generic crap. I did. ALL of that. Deleted Firefox completely then reinstalled it. Still the same error, my laptop in my office no problems my desktop "Not responding" wow.
Switched to chrome on that computer. Seems to be the only solution that works. Mozilla, I know you are a good browser, I have sung your praises for years. But if you need to do all that technical stuff to get it to stop. Its really easier just to download another browser. Sorry. If you get your glitched corrected, I would be happy to come back. But I'm sorry I don't have that much time to waste.

It starts out as soon as FIREFOX is opened with stating that FIREFOX is "non-responsive." This will happen every 30 seconds or so. Then it will get jammed in the non-responsive state or just plain crash.
Is there anyone that can help me???We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
''' Note:''' If a recent Report ID does not start with '''bp-''' click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I ran into a glitch on my system that I tried to fix myself. My NOD32 was always showing the yellow warning circle as my protection status when I started my computer. I tried to fix this every way I new how.
Then I started to get pop ups asking me to fix and then send system error reports to Windows. Some stating they were '''''critical.''''' So I sent NOD32 the e-mail below.
'''Me:''' I cannot seem to run a complete system scan. I keep getting stuck at 56% at the following point. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\
Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\Pending
I also keep getting messages to send error reports to Microsoft constantly. I also have this code C:\pagefile.sys-error opening
Thank you for your assistance.
'''Their solution:'''
Based on the information you provided, we recommend that you upgrade to latest version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus and see if this makes a difference.
Please click or copy/paste the following ESET Knowledgebase article into your web browser for step-by-step instructions:
'''Me''' : I did as they requested and am fully upgraded and licensed with their new edition.
Ran a new scan same problem.
I sent them a new e-mail but now wonder if it is a Firefox issue as, C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\
''Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\Pending'' this is where the scan stalls.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.Try delete the files in Pending folder and make the scan again, do not be afraid to delete the files see : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/679996
thank you

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
* [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
* [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
