Mozilla Firefox is not starting on my computer, even though I've opened it, there is nothing on the screen except my background. Do I need to re-install?

When I open Firefox, sometimes it doesn't show up on my screen and I have to re-boot to get it show. But I've re-booted my computer '''5''' times and it hasn't show the browser or anything. The hourglass that shows that it's thinking doesn't even do anything, like it's already up, but it's not. Do I need to re-install? Or is it that Firefox isn't working today?

Verizon Media Manager will not start automatically with Windows, even though it is set to do so. This started with the latest update. I see that the desktop icon for Media Manager now has a security shield on it, and it requires UAC confirmation when you start it, which I don't remember the old version doing.
One thing I noticed, msconfig.exe shows that "C:\Program Files\Verizon\McciTrayApp.exe" is set to start at Windows startup, but the desktop icon used to start Media Manager manually has a target of ""C:\Program Files\Verizon\Verizon Media Manager\Release\Verizon Media Manager.exe" Verizon Media Manager".
I don't remember what the previous version was, but this one is 9.4.86. It asked me if I wanted to update it a few days ago, and I said yes.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Try setting the startup option to off and then to on again. It looks to be pointing to a wrong location.

Apple TV cannot see my computer even though I have verified that both are set to the same home sharing network. I can see my music and Netflix but not photos.

Applw TV cannot "see" my computer even though I have verified that both are set to the same home sharing account. The router works OK as Netflix comes through as does access to music.

I have a MacBook Pro, it has came up saying I need to free up space on the disk as it full every time it starts up, so I log in and no icons or applications show up on the screen just my background wallpaper, the only thing I can do is the force quit keyboard shortcut but there is nothing to quit, I have tried to start up in safe mode but again there is no icons in the desktop,
I have my disks that came with my laptop I have went into disk utility to repair disk and I still seem to have the same problem .. No icons or apps or anything lol just the cursor I can only shut down the laptop via power but and the press shut down.
Please help I am going out my mind with this thing :(

This can be used to boot the machine and delelte enough files to get it to boot normally.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network?

Downloaded Firefox yesterday. Every time I open the Firefox browser, it starts in Safe Mode even though I have shut down and restarted my computer several times

I have Windows OS. I downloaded Firefox yesterday. Every time I open the Firefox browser, it starts in safe mode. I have restarted my machine several times -- Firefox still starts in Safe Mode. My favorites from IE copied to Firefox fine, and Firefox is now my default browser...it just keeps opening in Safe Mode.

I downloaded the toolbar. When I was done using the computer, I put it to "sleep." The next time I "woke" the computer and went to Firefox, the toolbar was gone. When I downloaded the toolbar again, I got a box in the upper left hand corner of the screen stating Firefox BLOCKED the toolbar, and did I want to allow it. There was NO option to allow always-it's just a one time deal. When I shut down for the day, I expected it to remain, but no-next time I fired up firefox, NO TOOLBAR. I pulled up Inbox dollars again, clicked on download toolbar, got the box stating it's blocking the toolbar, etc, etc, etc. Unless Firefox upgrades daily, or in some cases, several times in one day, I'm going to stick with my description that the toolbar magically disappears EVERY TIME I OPEN

New computer has been loaded with old Itunes library but a number of earlier purchases say they are not "authorized" on this computer even though the bulk of my library works-- this is only about 5% of the total but were all purchased 9/18/2008 or before?

They are all items I purchased from Itunes but they won't play any longer even though they show in my Itunes library.
Doesn't work when I enter account info and password either.
This is only about 5% of my library and many purchased items play no problem.

Three words, Target Disk Mode. Use a firewire cable to connect two Macs and then hold down the T key when you boot the Mac you want to transfer files from, G4 Tower. It will appear as a hard drive on the desktop of your Macbook Pro. Then you can just drag and drop the whole folder.

FireFox still identifies pdfs as Foxit documents even though I'm opening them in Adobe Reader and uninstalled the Foxit trial and FF plugin years ago.

When I click on a pdf file link in FireFox, the Windows open file dialogue opens, saying "You have chosen to open [filename]

THERE IS NO PROBLEM OPENING THE FILE. It opens in Adobe Reader, in a window outside of Firefox, which is exactly what I have it set up to do. The problem is that it identifies the file as a "Foxit Reeader PDF Document," even though I uninstalled the Foxit trial and associated FireFox plugin ages ago, and Foxit does not appear anywhere on my computer in any way, shape or form (that I have access to). No Foxit in the file associations for Windows, or in the applications associations for FireFox. There is no Foxit plugin installed, and I even went and deleted what was left of the Foxit directory. Yet pdfs are still identified in FireFox as Foxit files, so FireFox must be storing this old info somewhere. How do I get rid of it?
BTW, files open in a browser window inside the browser in the other 3 browsers I have installed, so there is no open file dialogue, and I can't tell whether there is the same problem. When I check the properties of a pdf outside of FireFox (by rightclicking a pdf on my desktop, for example), it is identified as an Adobe Reader file. I have both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. I have two Adobe Acrobat plugins showing in FireFox (10.1.8.24 and 11.0.5.3). Should I have two? No plugins, extensions, or anything else by Foxit.

Most likely this information is in the mimeTypes.rdf file, which can accumulate a lot of obsolete information which occasionally does cause problems. You can rename the file and have Firefox rebuild it from scratch with only the current applications detected (as far as Firefox can tell from the Windows Registry).
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Switch back to Firefox and Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
Restart Firefox. Presumably now it will forget all about Foxit. Unfortunately, it may also have forgotten some of your application preferences, but hopefully those won't take too long to reestablish.

ITunes and App Store says account is not valid in US store even though I am using an account I created in the US for the US store..

I have re entered the account info in settings making sure I am using a US credit card with a US billing address, on a Sprint phone I bought in the US, but it still tries to redirect me to the Australian store even though I am logged in with the apple ID associated with my US account.. You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

Firefox will not start or bring up any window. I am exasperated, there is no one to talk to and nothing works!!! I cannot get help

I have tried to follow recommendations - I deleted firefox and downloaded the newest version. I tried to go to help and to select something but nothing opens. I have been trying for two days to solve this and NOTHING works. With no one to talk to it is truly exasperating. The tool bar comes up but nothing on it works. Hi Barbara, could you try starting Firefox in its "Safe Mode"? To do this, hold the Shift key down while starting Firefox. Then click the "Start in Safe Mode" button.
Does Firefox work in "Safe Mode"?
