• I-Tunes 7 opens then freezes right away. PLEASE HELP!

Ok, I am a Windows XP user, and downloaded the I-Tunes 7. It installed, but when I try to open it, it opens then instantly freezes and I get a "The program is not reponding" window, then windows closes the non-responsive i-tunes.
I cannot do anything with my I-pod or I-Tunes.
I recently purchased my I-pod (this week) and have been able to do NOTHING! with it because of this I-tunes issue.
Can anyone help me or did I waste my money on the I-pod?

• Windows 7, Adobe reader starts but closes right away?

Is there a sulotion for this, i am not able to view any of the saved files I have on my computer. When i click on the acrobat file it starts to open but closes right away. I am running windows 7 and can't find any help online. It was working just fine before and i had no troubles up to this point, But i went to open a file today and started having this problem.

The End User License Agreement (eula) tends to "hang" in Windows 7 and it doesn't open as it should. This keeps Reader from opening after an update.
Go to: C/Program Files/Adobe/Reader 11.0/Reader (it may be in Program Files (X86) if your OS is 64 bit)
Double click the eula.exe file and accept the license agreement. Reader should open after that.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Anybody else have this problem?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

• My Apple Apps are unresponsive after installing Mavericks. iBooks, Maps, App Store, iCal, etc. will open, but freeze

After installing Mavericks, I found that my Apple Apps (iBooks, App Store, Maps, iCalendar, iBooks, etc) will open but freeze or are none responsive. I have reinstalled Mavericks, did a recovery and reinstall, almost everything that I could find in other discussions. They only thing that helped was the recovery, until I tried to reinstall Mavericks. Someone please help.....

OS X Recovery does restore OS X meaning Mavericks.
Make sure there's enough storage space ...
Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
You'll see Available and Capacity. Make sure there's at least 15% available disk space.
The startup disk may need repairing ...
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.
Make sure to back up all important files first before using OS X Recovery.
OS X Recovery does require a broadband high speed internet connection.

• Firefox opens but will not search for main page

After upgrading to Fiefox 4.01, when I open firefox and I type in the search bar that appears in the middle of the page it won't search. It does nothing. I can go to the top-right bar which is currently using yahoo search engine, type and it will search.

I have tried entering Mozilla Firefox in safe mode and attempted to load webpages but nothing happened as before. I refreshed firefox and that solved the problem and i was able to launch webpages... BUT. once i closed the browser and had to use it again the same problem came up and i was no longer able to open webpages again, thus requiring me to refresh yet again. of course this is no conducive to do each and every time as i will lose all saved information, bookmarks, etc.
any further thoughts on what to attempt next would be greatly appreciated. I have used Firefox for more than 8 years and have never encountered this anomaly.

• Firefox opens but will not maximize.

Out of nowhere Firefox will not maximize. The icon for it is at the bottom left on Windows 8, and I can hover over that icon and see a small version of a Firefox browser window, but I can't get it to open all the way or maximize so I can actually use it. Any suggestions are appreciated - thanks!

Occasionally the Firefox window will get off screen. Here are three different approaches to getting that window into view. One of them should work!
'''Firefox Window "off screen" — Arrow Key Method'''
If you know that Firefox is off to a particular side, you can use the arrow keys to move it back on screen. You only need to move it far enough to be able to click the title bar and then you can drag it the rest of the way.
Make the Firefox tile active on the task bar and press this key combination to start moving the window:
Alt+Spacebar > m
(To clarify, that's Alt+Spacebar to open the window control menu, then the letter m to start moving the window.)
Press the arrow key for the direction you want to move the window, e.g., press the left arrow key to move the window left. Press the Enter key to complete the move.
'''Firefox Window "off screen" — Maximize + New Window Script Method'''
If Firefox is nowhere to be found but you know it's out there, try this method.
Make the Firefox tile active on the task bar and press this key combination to maximize the window:
Alt+Spacebar > x
(To clarify, that's Alt+Spacebar to open the window control menu, then the letter x to maximize the window.)
''If that works,'' try this:
(1) Copy the following line of code to the clipboard (it's all one line...):
newwin=window.open(window.location.href, "_blank", "width=640,height=480,menubar,toolbar,personalbar");newwin.moveTo(0,0);
(2) In the maximized window, press Ctrl+Shift+k to open the web console.
(3) Press Ctrl+v to paste the line of code next to the caret (») then press Enter to run it. A new copy of that page should open in a window positioned at the top left of the screen.
(4) Switch back to the maximized window and close it first, before doing anything in the new window.
'''Firefox Window "off screen" — Remove Settings File'''
If you can't move or maximize Firefox, you can rename or delete the settings file that stores the last window position.
(1) Open your currently active Firefox settings folder (AKA Firefox profile folder).
From the Start menu (Run box or search box), paste this into the search box and press Enter:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
This should open a window showing one or more Firefox profile folders. If you have multiple folders, look for the most recent. Click into your profile folder.
(2) If Firefox is still running, right-click it on the Task Bar and Close all Windows.
(3) Wait a few moments for Firefox to finish updating files in your profile folder, then rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something else, like localstore-bad.rdf or localstore.old. Alternately, you can delete the file.
(4) You're done with your profile folder and you can restart Firefox now.
Any luck?

• Firefox opens, but I can only see it in my toolbar when I put my curser over it

My Firefox opened this morning, full screen, but now it won't go full screen. The only way I can see it is by putting my curser over the icon in my toolbar. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, but that didn't help either. When I've clicked on the icon, it seems to go over to the right side of my screen and get "lost".

Could you try the trick described in this thread and see whether it works for you: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/941896 When I go to open firefox it shows up on my tool bar but not on my screen where is it?]
The backup plan is to delete a settings file that stores the last-used window position. Since that also deletes all your toolbar customizations, let's set that aside as a last resort.
