Mozilla web browser (1.7) stucks on loading java pages in solaris 10
We are having problem to load oracle developer forms on mozilla web browser 1.7 in solaris 10 thin cliens(running solaris 10). Jre version 1.4.2.6 is installed for mozilla. On a few thin clients, it works fine however on opening multiple sessions, it gets stuck with a dull green window left and requires force quit.
Would highly appreciate help regarding this.
I wouldn't say you made a "mistake". It might be a custom build, but Firefox never had a 1.7 version; skipped from 1.5 to 2.0 in release version numbering.
The old Mozilla Application Suite had 1.7 as its' last version produced; ended with 1.7.13 in April 2006. That's why I equate "Mozilla web browser (1.7)" with the old Mozilla Suite and not with Firefox.

Whatever the case, no one should be using a web browser that was produced back in 2006 on the internet in 2014. If that is used completely on an internal intranet, you shouldn't have a problem; beyond finding support for an old version like that.

Full internet signal however when I open a web browser it sometimes will not load.
About 80% of the time my web browser (Safari or chrome) will not open the internet. I am connected wirelessly and have no other issues with the other mac and PC in the house. This a 15" 2011 Mac book Pro and have already had the Hardrive replaces after having it for 2 weeks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You need to specify a MIME type attribute.<br />
Otherwise Firefox doesn't know which plugin to use.<br />

Load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found Stuck at loading Java Applet
Hi there
I have recently installed App Server 10.1.2.0 on a new machine.
Copied all my forms to an appropriate directory. Set up formsweb.cfg to allow them to run and have attempted to run them.
Unfortunately I get stuck at the Loading Java Applet screen, and in the status bar at the bottom it says :
load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
I have taken a look at the Java Console, and the 2 things that jump out at me are that it appears to be looking for a forms90 directory, which seems odd since I am using App Server 10.1.2.0.2 and Forms Builder 10.1.2.0.2 meaning it should be looking in a forms directory not forms90 directory shouldnt it ?
And also, it mentions class with no proxy, so on looking around the forums it has been suggested that put the proxy details into jinitiator, which I have done, but this has made no difference either.
Can anyone suggest anything else please ?

Web browser resets scroll position and focus when page load completes
when a page is loading, the scroll position of the page reverts to the top-left and focus in a form element is lost whenever an element or the whole page finishes loading
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)Possibly related to the OP's question, I wish we could get the composition page to scroll when typing a reply here on the forum (while using my Pre plus).
Quoting a reply fills half the text box, then once I reach the bottom of the box, I can't scroll any further downward to complete my reply...

Hi,
Everytime I try to open mozilla an error message comes up with no cd and it comes with options try again cancel or continue. The only way i can open mozilla is by highlighting it and holding enter whilest watching task manager to see if its process starts up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I have disabled all add ons and I have tried using the admin account and still no luck. Also used safe mode with networkig to try and open it normally. I have checked several times to detect any viruses or marlware aswell. Not sure what to do?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

When I click on the Firefox icon, it will not open, so I have to right click on 'maximize' and it opens to a full page.
Nothing happens if I right click on 'restore'.

I downloaded the new Mozilla web browser and I had a Bing homepage setting. I changed back to yahoo but I ever since downloading I dont have any back arrows, forward arrows, file, edit, view, history, bookmark, tools, address bar....how do I get my web browser to look like a regular browser again?

Once the menus are back, you can use the View menu, then select Toolbars and click on the names of the toolbars to toggle displaying them. -
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6c notebook, My web page keeps popping up, sporadically, it will sometimes, take me out of my website and pop up fresh. It had been suggested that my Web Browser button is stuck and suggested that I have it taken out. Any suggestions to fix this problem and not having to have this button removed.
Hi , Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6-6c Notebook and having issue with Internet Explorer being erratic. If you are using Internet Explorer, then go to the Tools tab Internet Options Advanced and select reset. Then close and launch Internet Explorer again. Try that out to see if it fixes it. You could try a different browser to see if it still causes the same issue. Here is a document on how to resolve and prevent virus on Windows 7. The computers with Windows 7 come with Windows Defender, I would scan the complete computer, just to make sure.

MacBook 2010 web browsing super slow!!?? Wireless Internet.
I purchased my MacBook in May, and at first everything worked fine, but lately the web browsing has been super slow with the page taking forever to load or just not loading whatsoever. The connection signal is strong and the internet is working fine as my computer downloads files at a good speed. I have an old PC laptop that the web browsing works fine on from the same connection so the problem must lie with my macbook. any ideas?

You didn't mention which browser you are using so I assuming it's Safari...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

Open System Preferences/Accounts then select the Login Items tab. Delete any files or apps there. And go to /Library/Startup Items. Remove any files or apps there.
Quit Safari if it's open for this.
Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. If Safari speeds up loading web pages, them move the .plist file to the Trash.

Web browsing on a Mac is a complete nightmare
My experience of using OSX for web browsing is a complete nightmare, loads of web pages I visit load really slow even with 1mb broadband, and I always need two browsers open (safari & Camino) because when a web page doesn't load at all in safari, I switch to Camino to get the page to load.
I would say this is a major design/technical fault with macs as most people I know use a computer for web browsing.
What makes it worse it Apples' claims about Safari being a really fast browser when in practice it isn't fast at all and is incompatible with loads of sites.
I've tried loads of browsers OSX including firefox but none of them match the speed and reliability of web browsing on a PC.
I switched to Macs about a year ago and I'm seriously considering going back to PC's because of this which is a shame because the user experience of OSX is superior to Windows.I see a lot of people reporting slowness issues with Safari lately. The cause of this is unknown and pages load instantly on Mac. The page rendering on an Intel Mac is 2x as fast as on a PowerPC, altough this doesn't explain your issue. It should just work fine.
However you can also try to follow some of the standard routines:
• Make sure all internet configurations in your system are correct, such as IPv6 address and DNS settings.
• Repair your permissions, in case of Safari not being able to write information to certain folders it might slow your browsing experience down.
• Try to reset Safari, this deletes all cash files, history and cookie files. Also information for forms will be lost.
By working trough these steps a lot of users have a good working Safari again. However, some people still don't have it working. This is probably due to some bugs, since 10.4 and some showed up in 10.4.6.

When using the internet, my web browser window goes blank

When using the internet, the web browser screen will go completly blank after 2 secs of loading.
I will see the page, then after two seconds it is gone, and the web browser is completely white.
Once, one page or tab does it, all the others start doing it.
It is very frustrating, and happens quite often.

I run the program using Eclipse; run as> Java applet
and in runs perfectly well. I then tried running it using internet explorer and firefox, but only a gray box appeared and the browser says "applet notinited" and "Loading Java Applet Failed.."
what did i do wrong? any help is really appreciated.. thanksthank God i already found the cause of the problem..
it's because the application has an ImageIcon which links to a local jpeg file, so perhaps security restriction on the browser doesn't allow my applet to access local file, that's why it fails to load.
either using signed applet (not tested) or removing the picture solved my problem.
