Mozillas Shumway: Will we get native flash support in a future Firefox?

Just heard of this project.
http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/
Whats your impression? Could this be the saving grace for flash on mobile?

If it helps at all, I've noticed that all the animations causing issues show up blank on the captivate stage (only play in preview) while the ones that aren't causing issues show up as a still image on the stage.

  • When will we get Adobe Flash 10.1 available for our Palm Pre Plus units ?

I had hoped the Adobe Flash would be included with this newest update ! Anyone have any ideas about when we might finally get some flash for our phones ? I've just recieved the 1.4.5 update to my Web OS and I've checked the app catalog , but alas , no freakin flash 10.1 ! This Flash 10.1 has been promised for quite some time now.....
                                         Thanks for your help !
                                                                                          jwill758

Palm has indeed included flash support in it's webOS 2.x software, however even if we get that update on the Pre Plus they likely won't enable it. My understanding is that they initially held back the 2.x software update because the Pre Plus can't handle it very well, so adding flash will only make it worse.

  • Native Flash Support

I was reading the wiki page (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _on_Arch64) and it gave a link to a package for adobe's alpha flash support, but it doesn't exist anymore. Anyone know what's up?

i also see libflashsupport now has icu as a dependency, which is an extra 21.5mb library, and there now is a 10mb openssl dependency. together that's 30mb of extra installs where you really only need the 9Kb libflashsupport.so file for oss support...
what's the designated place to ask or discuss these kinds of questions, bugs.arch?
Wow, I didn't even notice that. I'm back on ALSA (booo! booo!) and haven't been paying attention to OSS stuff.
Yeah, it's best brought up in the bug tracker as a feature request. The interesting thing is that flashsupport.c only lists openssl as a dependency. Maybe icu is necessary for internationalization, but can it be a makedep?
// To compile and install flashsupport.c the following components are required:
    //  - a C compiler (gcc 4.03 is known to be working)
//  - OpenSSL developer package and working user libraries (OpenSSL 0.9.8 is known to be working)
//  - OSS (or ALSA) developer package and working users libraries (Linux 2.6.15 is known to be working)
//  - sudo or root access to install the generated library to /usr/lib

  • HT203088 Will Aperture get new camera support for RAW files in the future?

    need answers

RAW support is part of the OS for Apple;  it is not part of Aperture.
Apple has stated that they will continue to support Aperture _on Yosemite_ but not on any future OS's.
Therefore it appears _reasonable_ to conclude that all RAW support updates for Yosemite will work with Aperture.
Apple provides no guarantee (or has, afaik, any contractual obligation) to stick to the above.
Apple makes no statements regarding updates to the RAW compatibility.

Seems to be a widespread human condition.

  • Will there be any Eucon support in the future?

    Hey,
I don't know if the question is allready asked, I didn't found anything in the forum.
I'm using an Artist Color by Avid, former Euphonix and it would be nice if I can use it in Speedgrade in the future.
    Does anybody know any further?
    Thanks,

I'd suggest using the standard Adobe wish/request/bug-report form ... and asking for it. You can find the address on the Overview page for all the Adobe forums, in the header above the list of "discussions".

  • Native iSCSI support in OS X

Is there any chance Apple will add native iSCSI support in OS X?

You will not get any answers from Apple about future products or enhancements. Don't waste your breath asking them. You can send them feedback for an enhancement request using the Apple Feedback site. But you won't get any reply from them.

  • Adobe flash support on toshiba 55L6200U TV browser?

Could someone from support team answer if 55L6200U will be getting adobe flash on tv browser? I just received my tv and this is the first thing I tested and found that it does not support flash. TV is awesome but no support for flash kills it.

    Hello Peter,
Hope you are having a nice day! I am a very proud owner of 55L6200U. Very nice Picture Quality. Even Standard definition channels are fantastic on this TV. For HD content, this TV's PQ is no inferior to my SAMSUNG (D7000 model). It beats the Samsung on PQ on SD Channells. Even the Picture Quality on Netflix/You Tube beats Samsung. But like the other poster said, No flash support & very few Apps.
Please request for FLASH support. Every TV brand has it. I am also an owner of 55L6200U and last year's model as well (55TL515U). Last year's had FLASH support, hence should not be difficult to add.
Without Flash support, the web browser and the nice keyboard is pretty much useless. Have to connect Laptop like old TV models!
Also last year's model had SKYPE APPS, this years model doesn't.  Compared to last year's model, this year has few APPS. Compared to other major brands like SAMSUNG, LG, SHARP, very very few APPS. I believe 6200 & 7200 are flagship model & hence should have good APPS & Support FLASH.
    Please pass this on.
Everyone of my friends/family are impressed when they see this for the first time even second/third time. I have hidden the keyboard as otherwise they would ask ........
Also one more Question : Is Toshiba going to release bigger screens like 60" or 65" in this series?
Also do you know why Toshibha is using LG panels on this prestigious line? According to experts in AVS forum, the LED Panel in L6200 is same as in LG model LM6700 & the one in L7200 is same as LG Model LM7600. Attaching pictures from AVS Forum
    Please help.
Thanks & Have a nice weekend!

  • When will apple have adobe flash?

When will apple get adobe flash player?  This is one of the few things that is keeping the iPad from being awesome! Steve is gone :( And I wish he was still here.  However, compatibility with other programs would rock!  I hope this little circle of "apple only compatibility" gets broken and becomes more mainstream. For the good of the users and also for profits!

    "Chris CA,
So is it up to the folks at Adobe to create the flash player for the iPad O.S?"
Since Flash is an Adobe product, yes, it would be up to Adobe to create it (unless Apple licensed it but that won't happen). Adobe has ceased development of Flash for all mobile devices.

  • If I get one of the Toshiba SSDs and put it in my 2011 MBP, will it auto enable trim support?

If I get one of the Toshiba SSDs and put it in my 2011 MBP, will it auto enable trim support?

It is outrageous that Appe deliberately does not enable TRIM support native to the OS to non Apple SSD drives automatically. Even worse is to cancel it after an update of the OS.
It is forcing anyone who does not add up to your greedy aftersales target to eventually experience trouble with their non Apple drives.
    It is monopoly, isn't it?
It does also sounds petty, very disgusting from such a reputable company.
I love Apple but they do not need to go down such length to whatever are their aims.
Very disappointed to find out that the TRIM support I enabled prior to the update 10.9.3 is now disable.
    Simply unbelievable!

  • I have sent my iPhone for repair, but the case has the wrong description, I have called and talked to Apple Support, and told them the actual case and they told me thats what it was for and my Warranty covered it.. When will I get a new iPhone or mine?

I filed for a case and my One-Year warranty is still available until Jne 2014 , somehow the description in the case is mixed up and says it was cracked or dropped, but the real reason is the Audio goes out on my iPhone 5 after the iOS 7.1 update every 20 minutes and I have to restart it. I talked to apple support and they told me my warranty will cover the audio issue, but it still doesn't say that in the repair description. How can I see that? or will they already know? Apple has told me that they will, but I don't want it to be mixed up and me have to pay for something and it not being my fault.

Besides checking the support status assuming you filed the case with your Apple ID, there is nothing more you can do. Nobody here knows that as nobody here works for Apple. We are users like you. Apple does not monitor this forum. You will have to contact Apple support for the information if you cannot get it the way I described.

  • Will I get a letter in my mailbox for calling Apple Support?

Hello, I called Apple Support two days ago, and I got an email for calling them before.. Will I get a letter in my mailbox as well?

I concur with mvimp; I've never gotten a physical letter after calling Apple technical support. As mvimp said, only if they will be sending you a shipping box to send in a product for repair will you be likely to get anything in the mail.
    Regards.

  • If i buy my macbook pro with a flash memory will i get instant on like the macbook air?

If i buy a macbook pro with a flash memory will i get the instant on feature like the macbook air?

Almost, if you up your memory to 8GB or even 16GB (for around $80) AND use the SSD (solid state drive)((flash memory)) it should be an "instant on" sort of setup.
A pretty cheap way to go I must say.  Only a couple hundred extra to be such a fast computer.
