MP Related Logs and IIS Virtual directory not created After re_installation of SCCM 2007

Hi
We have re-installed the IIS and SCCM secondary site. tried to intsall the MP role and DP role but it has not created any logs or IIS virtual directory in the secondary site server which is in WAN link.
Trouble shooting:
- checked the ports 443,445 and 80
- Disabled symantec
- exchanged the public key ( still it is in progress in Despooler log)
- checked the site to site permission and added the accounts.
please suggest further.

What error(s) are you getting within the logs? Without these details there isn’t much anyone can do to help you.

Stage directory not created after clean restart of WLS

I deployed the application in stage mode.
After clean restart of the weblogic server, the stage folder is not getting created.
But application is up and running.
Workaround Tried:
-Checked the Java options whether any of "-nostage,-external-stage" options are used, but none are used.
-Checked the deployment tab under server->config->deployment, it has the stage path specified
Can anyone point what could be preventing the stage folder creation??

If you are deploying through the Admin Console then while deploying try using the below option:

Though the default option for each server is stage mode, but you can try to use the above option and check whether the stage directory is created or not.

I've copied a .NET application from an older 2008 server running IIS 7.0.600.16386 to a newer 2008 R2 server running 7.5.7600.16385. The .NET framework version is 4.0.30319. I've setup an application pool and copied the wwwroot directory.
I've checked for nested web.config files and I've been reading a lot about converting the site to an application. The older server running the application is still up and running and the configurations look identical. If I convert the site to an
application the icon changes and doesn't look like it does on the old server. I'm new and still learning the basics of programming and publishing applications. Can someone point me in the right direction? I've been on google for a few days

Please make sure you have changed the OAB generation server to Exchange 2010 and enable Web distribution on the Exchange 2010 Client Access server:

If all configurations are correct, please check whether there is any folder in the following path in Exchange sever 2010:
a. OAB generation in Mailbox:

Servlet, Tomcat 3.3, IIS virtual directory access denied

Hello people,
I've set up Tomcat to run as a service with a domain log on usr/pswd. IIS works fine redirecting servlet requests to Tomcat via ISAPI redirector. All on Windows 2000 Server.
The problem:
The java application creates and reads files from a location which corresponds to an IIS virtual directory and is also a local directory with respect to the Tomcat and IIS installation. The application is denied access to this directory when submitting a network path (\\server/drive/directory/) where to store and read files, but is happy when a local path is given instead (E:/) Why? The domain user should have complete access to this. Is it Tomcat, IIS, or java restrictions?

The problem would be with the logon that you have Tomcat running under. Writing to a file accessed by network share (\\server\share) is not a problem under Java as long as the logon has appropriate privileges. If you are writing to something of the form \\server\c$\directory, as it sounds like you might be, the logon may need administrator access to the box (in order to see \\server\c$).

How can I use a relative path in a Virtual Directory tag?

That is probably a bit vague, so I will explain in more detail. We are using BEA
WL Portal 7.0 and our team is developing multiple portal applications. We have
a core set of portlets (consist of JSPs) that we need to reuse in multiple portals
(Web Apps), however from a version control perspective they need to reside in
one common location. So, the solution I came up with is to use a virtual directory
for the the common directory and add this to weblogic.xml for each web app. This
works fine. However, each developer has different directory names for their project...ClearCase
view names to be specific... plus we have integration views, QA views, etc...
so we can't have any "C:\mystuff\mydomain" absolute paths anywhere in the portal
configuration. Does anyone know of a way to use a relative path for a virtual
directory? I have tried various versions of ../../ for example to try to backup
and then recurse down to the directory, but this is not working. Any ideas?
By the way this is basially just a hack for development, when we package the WAR
for QA, Prod, etc... we copy needed files and there are no virtual directories.
In other words, I don't care how "creative" solution is :)

Well, in fact you can in a special case :
- The file you want to access is in the same directory than the applet (or in a sub-directory)
If this condition is OK, you can open the file using :
java.io.InputStream MyInputStream = <YourAppletClassName>.class.getResourceAsStream("sidira_interactif2.svg")
With this stream, its easy to read the file content.

You should be able to do this (as well as all other
administrative tasks) using CFEXECUTE, Windows Scripting Host, and
IIS management object. Read IIS documentation. It contains tons of
ready-to-use scripts.

Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. What you posted is rather vague. By doesn't work do you mean the applications don't open at all or are you getting a message stating that your product needs activation? If it's product activation then that is something that Microsoft will have to assist you with. If your problem is that the applications simply won't open you may have to uninstall and reinstall Office again. This is common on the Windows platform too. Rarely when you upgrade to a new OS Office sometimes has an issue with the upgrade and won't open correctly. I would suggest merely uninstalling and reinstalling. Nine times out of ten that helps.

Create application using SYS or SYSTEM user is not good idea. Your objects will be created in SYSTEM tablespace, it's fatal option. Create new Workspace and create there your app.

Anyone having trouble with App Store install and cloud store buttons not working after 6.1 update? I go to install an app. I hit install and nothing happens. About a minute later it asks me for my password and then it does nothing. The install button goes back to saying install. However the app shows up in my installed list and in cloud but no app installed.

OK - I found a helpful post - closed app store app and under Settings/General/Date and Time I reset the date and time by switching off "Set Automatically" and then switching it on again. Went back to App Store, launched it and Updatesseems to be working again.
Go figure? Logical, No!
