Mp3 audio tracks for Blu ray menus

Hello, i have 3 blu ray menus (720p) and have linked each menu to a different audio file to play when the user selects the menu. When i preview, all audio tracks play correctly for each menu. After burning, only the main menu plays the audio while the others do not. I created a folder during the build process. My preset is Mpeg - 2. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
Some MP3's work fine, but some others do not.
I always convert any MP3 to PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit, and have never had an issue.
Now, as I often am working with DD 5.1 SS, when that is the case, I Export to DD AC3 @ 48KHz 16-bit, and those have always worked fine too.
Let us know if things work better with the PCM/WAV files, instead of those MP3's.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • 5.1 mix for blu-ray from 6 mono tracks

    Hi there,
I'm not too well versed in creating 5.1 mixes at the moment. Here's the project I've set out to do...
I currently have a 1hr 45min Apple Pro Res video with six mono tracks intended for a 5.1 mix for Blu-ray and DVD authoring. All six channels are in the order they should be in for 5.1 (i.e. 1st track LEFT, 2nd track RIGHT, 3rd track CENTRE, etc.). I'm just having difficulty in bringing the file back into Premiere and exporting it for Blu-ray H264 setting with the 5.1 mix functioning properly.
    Please advise,
    Mike

I'm a bit late coming to this thread.
As Jim says the problem with Premiere is that you can't just send a track to the LFE.
One work around that I use-
Put the LFE mono track on 2 tracks in your sequence. Send one track to centre and LFE and the other track just send to centre BUT put the invert audio effect on that track. This will cancel out the feed to the centre just leaving the LFE.

  • Menus for Blu-Ray

Can one build chaptering menus that work in Blu-Ray with Encore?  I normally have worked with Final Cut X but there is no way to build menus for the Blu-Ray DVD.  Thanks
    Don

Sorry to explain so poorly.  The timeline is the whole DVD.  Within it are multiple chapter points to delineate segments of the information.  Than, using the Mpeg2 compression file in Apple's DVD Pro, I build the menus with buttons which relate to the chapter points.  However, if I select. The compression protocol for Blu-Ray, it seems as tho I cannot make menus which are functional on the Blu-Ray disc.
Another gentleman has answered saying there are many available menus in Encore which can be used for a Blu-Ray disc.  I got Adobe Premier's trial.  Am assuming that is different than Encore.
    Appreciate your help

  • Mpeg 2 for Blu-ray audio exports with missing frames at beginning and end.

Im using a Matrox Axio LE system and the Matrox Media encoder to export an Mpeg 2 for blue-ray. My footage is shot in 1280x720p 59.94 drop frame. I have found that after exporting the file from the encoder and bringing it into Encore CS3 that the audio that was exported is a little shorter than the video. Frames are missing at the end of the file.
Because of this my video and audio are way out of sync. Has anyone else come across this issue?

    Maybe on the Matrox forums.

  • Dolby Surround Missing Right Surround Track on Blu-ray

I author a large number of DVDs in Scenarist for our standard def applications, but recently, tried authoring a strait through Blu-ray disc with Dolby Surround 5/0 audio tracks with some peculiar results.
I've encoded the Dolby track the usual way, with Scenarist's Dolby encoder, and imported it along with the m2v video track in to Encore and burned a Blu-ray disc.
The front channels play normally, but the surround is half missing, or perhaps 3/4 missing, when accounting for the fact that the left surround is about -10dB from where it should be, and there is NO output at all from right surround.
At first, I thought it was because we encoded at 640kbp/s, but I am told this is a legal bitrate for Blu-ray Dolby surround.
So that leaves Encore as the remaining suspect.
SD DVDs encoded in Scenarist with this Dolby encoding method play as they should. The difference here is we're using HD video and encoding to a Blu-ray disc.
Might Encore be doing something to our Dolby tracks? Is it confused because the LFE channel is missing? Or is Encore unable to handle 640kbp/s Dolby surround?
Wanting maxium quality, and because I could find no means of producing 5-channel PCM audio that Encore would accept, I went with Dolby at the highest bitrate. But obviously something's amiss here. What should I change about the encoding, or in Encore?

Hmmm, then I'm puzzled by this... if I encode AC3 and use it on a standard def DVD, it plays with all surround channels. If I use the AC3 file in an Encore project to make a Blu-ray disc, the left surround is barely audible and the right surround is silent.
It's either got to be my Sony BDP-S301 can't handle 640K audio, or there's a possible bug in Scenarist's Dolby encoder when using bitrates higher than 448K.
I'm re encoding at 448K and reburning the BD-R to see if that will play properly. If it does, then there's some incompatibility with the higher AC3 bitrate, somewhere.

  • How do I make interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion?

So, adobe doesn't support Encore anymore which means I can't use dynamic link to AE to create interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion.... or can I? Is there something I'm doing wrong? While in Encore, I go to dynamic link and boom, dynamic link to AE is not highlighted. If I can't make an interactive menu with motion using adobe, then what can I use? This is causing a major problem for me and my clients. (if i over looked the answer to this in another post, my apologies)

You can use the "Create After Effects Composition." This prompts you to create an independent version of the Encore PSD menu file, and opens the layered file in AE CC and creates a new composition with appropriate settings. AE no longer has mpeg export, so you export from AE to AME.
There were some workflow options that I did not play with much, but they were never what I saw as the basics for using AE to create the motion background.

  • Blu-ray Menus

I posted a question earlier and it was answered well, but i thought I'd start a general Blu-ray menus topic cus i might have a few questions!
The latest Blu-ray film I've tried is The Dark Knight. The initial pop up menu looks like an encore special but the ability to go up to a sub menu is interesting. Can this be done is Encore or is this Java thats doing it? You can go to a sub menu for scene selection and then scroll through scenes which is nice, again I'm guessing it's not Encore compatibile.
Anyone shed any light on it? Could you do this with different pop-up menus that just act like it's an interactive sub menu maybe?

Yepp, way beyond what Encore currently offers. At least DoStudio would be required for nested menus and scrolling button galleries, but most movie stuff is certainly done with Scenarist or BluPrint.

  • Premiere Elements breakdown by encoding Media for Blue Ray burning! Why?

    Hello Girls and Guys,
Premiere Elements 10 stop to work by encoding projectmedia for Blue Ray burning!
    Why?
Allways shows the message: The Programm is not working because of some error.
    My System is:
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit,
    RAM 12GB, 1800Hz
    Core i7, 3,8GHz
    Radeon HD 6900-RAM 2GB
Do anybody know why this happens?
It happens not only with PE 10, also happens with Cyberlink PowerProducer 5.5 .

    Thank You Steve,
    the videos added are:
    H.264/MP4 from Samsung
    and AVI from Canon PowerShot
and MOV Videos from Canon Ixus
    Camcorder Model is Samsung HMX-H100
    The project settings were:
    method: HD 1080i
    timebase: 25.00frames/sec
    resolution: 1920x1080
    screenformat: 25-fps-Timecode
    Audio samplerrate 48000Hz
    scrennformat: Audio-Samples
There are no red lines above the clips if I add them to my timeline.
I store the media and project files on a partition of primary SSD-drive.( AHCI-mode )
Do You need any further informations to identify the problem?
    Thanks looking forward your ideas

  • Audio clipping on Blu Ray

When I export using Encore to Blu Ray, the audio CLIPS! I can hear it clipping, especially the bass. I can't turn it up loud as I can when I am in Premiere. So wierd! In the editor Premiere, it works perfectly fine without clipping.
I've tried the highest audio setting to no avail
    Any ideas out there?
    Thanks,
    MrD

Hey guys sorry for late reply.
Basically my levels are all below 0. I make sure in Premiere that no audio is clipping beyond the Red zero point.
I tried to watch it back on my computer with the blu ray drive playing the disc. I used the same speakers and computer setup as I did in Premiere... Also I tried watching it on a friends TV and it sounded clipped. I did not turn it up all the way, but it had that distortion I could hear.
@NIEL, the codecs I've tried are the two for blu-ray, Dolby and PCM. Either way same result... hmmmm

  • H.264 for Blu-Ray Encoding Time

    Hi All,
I have exported a Pro-Res 1080p 2 hour film from FCPX and just dropped it into compressor. I have then dragged the default H.264 for Blu-Ray settings on my video and it looks like it will take way over three hours. I have a friend running Media Encoder and with the same file on his laptop it does it in 40min and it's a slower spec . I am running Compressor  4.1.3 and the latest MAC OS operating system. I have enabled additional instanced checked and the number 1 in the drop down (there are no other numbers)
Is there anything I am doing wrong, surely it can't be this slow, it's not even set to multipass.
    Thanks

Sounds about right to me for a rMBP.

  • Files or Folders needed for blu-ray disc missing !

    Hi,
I have Encore CS6. It successfully builds 'blu-ray folder' & 'blu-ray image' without any error. But when I try to create an iso image of the prepared folder using 'Ashampoo Burning Studio' it gives an error message saying that the folder doesn't contain all the files and folders needed for blu-ray. But when tried to do the same for DVD, there is no error. My blu-ray burning drive is broken and I want to check my finished project from my hard drive using Daemon's Tool and VLC or PowerDirector.
Could anybody advise how this can be fixed on Encore CS6. Encore CS5 never had this problem.
    Thanks

Tried that as well. The player gave an unrecognized format error.

  • I have internet service on iMac but cannot get connection for Blu ray with airport express.

Why am I not getting internet connection for blu ray on tv with airport express?

Which exact model of the AirPort Express do you have?
Did the Blu Ray player connect wirelessly to the Express before or has it never been able to connect to it at all?

  • Exporting MPEG2 files for Blu-ray from 720p60

I am exporting MPEG2 files for Blu-ray from 720p60 using compressor 3.05. I export straight from Final Cut 6 to compressor. It all looks great except I end up with some frames in the video that pixelate. It is just one frame, and the average viewer may not see it, but if you go frame by frame you see it. I thought it was just a bad export, but I exported the file again and the same thing happens again on the exact same frame. The fact that it happened again on the exact same frame was very odd to me. It is this way on five different video files. It's certainly not like that in the original on my timeline, so I don't know why it is doing that.
I guess I will try exporting a quicktime file first and then putting that file through compressor to see if that makes a difference. Any ideas from anybody?

Exporting a quicktime file first still produced the pixelated frame. I'm not sure what else to try.

  • Whether / when to convert to PCM audio burning to Blu Ray discs

I have been exporting FCP Sony HDV sequences as QT self-contained mov files into Toast 10.0.2 and burning via a Lacie BD external burner onto BD-R discs. They look and sound fantastic. But was wondering, I have stayed with the Dolby stereo audio tracks for the process and let the BD player do the down sampling to PCM audio for the HDMI output to my LCD monitor.
Is there any advantage to my setting the encode to burn PCM audio tracks on the BD-R discs? Will this take longer? (already 25 to 30 hours encoding and burning a 90 minute QT mov file.)

I think you have it backward.
PCM tracks are uncompressed. You're compressing to AC3, and your DVD player is playing AC3.
PCM tracks will leave less bandwidth available for the video.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • Encore CS3 hangs on "Come for Blue-ray stay for Flash"! Leopard 10.5.2...

I just got my new MacPro running Leopard. Installed CS3 Master Collection. I opened Premiere ok, Photoshop, etc...but when I tried Encore it just hangs on the part that says "Come for Blue-ray stay for Flash"!
I tried to make a dvd out of premiere going to encore it just had the beach ball spinning.
Thanks in advance anyone who can help.
    rb.
ps:not sure if this cause an issue but I installed an LG GGW-H20L blue-ray burner(it showed up fine in system profilier as sata device in the 2nd-lower open drive bay...)

    An update.
Encore would not launch with the LG GGW-H20L installed in my brand new MacPro. Once I unplugged it it launched Encore CS3. So I do not recommend this blue-ray burner in OSX Leopard.
I'm wondering if the Pioneer BDR-202 would work with MacPro, Leopard 10.5.2, Encore 3.0.2 update.
If anyone has any info please share!
