MP3 Download/Streaming Radio

Hi Everyone,
I have a Pocket PC. If I am connected to WIFI and I want to stream a show or download that show in MP3 format(provided
it's orginally in that format.) no problem on both counts.
When I try to do the very same thing on my Blackberry Curve I get a message that the file is too big.(When connected through my
phone service. Doesn't have WIFI)
I have a 1 gig card in the BB but it doesn't give me the option to store the file there to retrieve it later.
Now granted I can download the show on my PC first and then use the Media Sync software to upload it
to the BB. But wheres the fun in that.
I would like to be "out and about" and be able to steam a show or download it to listen to it for later.
Again I will concede that my Curve has several streaming radio stations that are preset I can listen to.
But I would like to be able to choose some talk shows or stations that I like specifically.

what can I do to prevent this, if anything?

To rule out the app itself, try downloading another free radio app (CBC Canada, iFreeRadio, for example) and see if they behave the same way.
Background radio streaming should work fine - one of the types of apps that can truly run in background.

Streaming radio show

i have a windows machine that i usually listen to live streaming radio show but with this mac it only gives me a picture of a quicktime player icon with a line through it? Is there a app i need to download to listen to live streaming radio ? PLease help I am missing my shows.

Streaming radio restarting desktop

I'm using iTunes to stream radio and everytime a new song, station, whatever starts up, my whole desktop goes blank, the dock dissappears and then everything rebuilds in a couple seconds. I first noticed this problem with iTunes 10, but it's contined with 11 as well. I'm using a 2008 macmini with 4G of RAM. iTunes library is on an external drive.

AirPlay stuttering while streaming radio from iPad

I have a 1st gen iPad and 2nd gen Apple TV. I can stream videos, YouTube, etc from the iPad to Apple TV with no problems, but if I stream radio stations they will drop out intermittently. Some days are worse than others, but rarely does it stream any radio without stuttering. Again, NO problems streaming video.
Any ideas?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Streaming Radio Stations AWOL

Okay so I upgraded to the most recent iTunes version because the new "eepo" < that's "iPod" en Español, demanded it.
NOW when I try to listen to streaming radio content I find that MANY of the stations pretend to load but nothing comes out of my headphones but silence.
¿WHAT's UP w/ that?
¿Have those stations simply discontinued streaming their broadcasts?
¿How/where can I acquire (download) an updated and more accurate list of stations that do stream actual content and not just dead air?
I love internet radio!
¿Any advice amigos?

Did that yesterday, repair disk permissions. I was able to stream TV news again and the like but still no Virgin Radio Groove, which I listen to everyday! When I opened my iTunes again today, still no Virgin Radio Groove although it's listed as an online radio station. Tried to go to its main web site as well, and I still couldn't access it. Something wrong with not only iTunes but w/ the Quicktime I think. All I get is a big blue Q with a question mark!
What's happening? Help!
P.S. Is it possible to uninstall the new iTunes and Quicktime versions just so I can get back to my old routine?

How can I get the search bar for mp3 downloader pro

I have the mp3 downloader pro but the search bar is not their, someone told me that I had to type something in the URL to get it but don't know what it is. Can anyone help me?

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.

[Request] Amazon MP3 Downloader

Amazon has released a Linux version of the Amazon MP3 Downloader program. It allows you to purchase and download entire albums of DRM-free MP3s at a discount over buying the MP3s one at a time.
They've only packaged it for Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE. As far as I can tell, you have to go to the above URL and check the box to accept their terms of use before you can download it.
I tried creating my own PKGBUILD, but I'm not having much luck understanding exactly what goes where. Any help would be appreciated.

If you run Arch64, the amazonmp3 package in AUR will build, install and run nicely in a chrooted Arch32 setup (see instructions here).
Even though they're not releasing their source and they're not offering a 64-bit Linux version of their mp3 downloader, I agree that Amazon is worth supporting, since their mp3s are DRM-free.
When I've wanted to buy an album, which requires the Amazon downloader, I've previously been doing it under Windows, then just copying the files to my Linux filesystem. Using the chrooted Arch32 approach, I can buy Amazon mp3 albums without leaving home (i.e., without leaving Arch).

With latest version of Flashplayer - unable to download streaming video with realplayer

The latest version of Adobe flashplayer (11.5) was loaded today (nov 9, 2012). As a result, using either IE9 or Firefox, I was unable to download streaming videos using Realplayer, where it was set up by "Download the Video". I had no trouble with Flashplayer 11.4, although I had the same problem with Flashplayer 11.3.

Good comments by Hicks. While I an not as anti-iMovie '08 as many others appear to be, I really agree with both his assessment of the product and some of his distribution ideas. However, rather than the simple 2-tier product recommendation he presented, I would personally like to see a renamed version of the current iMovie '08 product be distributed as a free application to users and keep all of the DV based editors as a part of the current 3-tier iLife (which can be purchased by users who wish more editing/plug-in compatibility at a moderate price but are not willing to invest the money or time to use of FCE), FCE "prosumer", and FCE/Studio true profession editing packages purchased according to individual user needs.
As we have seen in the past, innovations introduced by FCE frequently filter their way down to lower level software as enhancements over time. In addition, we have also seen a number of the new iMovie '08 developments being adapted to other applications as the means and processes are developed to do so. I honestly don't remember what it came with though I do remember having two drives so long ago. Since then I've had to replace them with newer, faster ones, and just didn't really need a second drive. I don't copy cds, I just need something to read DVDS (which the current one doesn't seem to want to do) and occasionally burn something.
I bought the MacPro becuase I am a tireless multitasker, having super memory eating programs on at all times. Right now I am working in Photoshop while watching a movie, with two P2P programs open, two chat programs and surfing the internet, with two monitors active so I can see everything.. I can't imagine the average pc doing this wthout blowing up Mac Pros are the ultimate computer for those that like to do a lot at once.
The speed and memory capacity of the Mac Pro make it the best computer hands down to handle a mind that can't be satisfied with doing just one thing at a time!
And six years after buying it, it can still eat the average pc for breakfast How's that for great?

Itunes match turning library into download/stream only!! HELP

OK I'm getting sick of this!
I imported all my songs from my last library on another computer to my new computer.
They were all in itunes and fine and I could play them all.
Now I turn itunes match on....it does its thing and matches them all and then after its done......mt entire library turns into the download symbol on each track.
ALL my songs are still in the itunes music folder on my computer but for some reason itunes match has made them all download/stream only now...
I dont want to press download on all the tracks for fear of them dubling up on my computer.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP??? I've been trying to fix this thing for 3 days now.

Streaming radio app isn't working in background anymore on iPhone

Hi everyone,
Just changed Network provider on my iPhone and since my streaming radio app isn't working in background anymore.
Changed the SIM card, got the new network and since as soon as want to listen to streaming radio while surfing on safari or use an other app the streaming radio app is turning off.
Before could do both without any issues.
I only use the radio app once connected on wifi.
Does anyone have any idea what happened?

How do I record streaming radio stations?

I am attempting to record a live streaming radio station, www.iRadiola.com, 90.3FM. Can someone tell me if that is even possible? My band is going to be played in an hour and I want to get the broadcast recorded. www.thedivys.com

Audio High Jack Pro is the Best way to go. Do a search in Google for it. The Demo is free but the full package is about $30. It will record any audio played thru your Mac. Really neat program...all you do is point it at what program your using i.e. Real Audio, Quick Time. Then just hit the record button. It has a built in itunes tab so it will import straight into it. I use this for my podcast to add streaming audio such as Press Conferences and Game Highlights. Works great.

How to turn streaming radio off

I am having turning streaming radio or Pandora off when using OS4. The stream doesn't go off when switching to another app. I can't see an on/off button in the radio or Pandora app. I like using multple apps but would like to turn off the stream.

The app has a play/pause button that will stop it. If it's in the background, you can double click the home button and scroll left to get to the audio controls.
