MP4 (from Nokia N93) Sound Problem, on Preview Only! Help!

Hi there, has anyone had experience with this problem?
I have about 1 hours worth of video to edit in iMovie HD 6 using a MacBook Pro, the video is from the Nokia N93, it is 640x480 at 30fps, MP4 format with an AAC 48khz stereo audio track.
After importing my clips into iMovie, playback (i.e. preview) produces broken audio. I know that there is nothing wrong with the actual audio as exporting the movie produces correct audio.
Any ideas?

Welcome to discussions!
This might work-or at least it won't hurt anything..
Open the Audio MIDI Setup application (Utilities folder).
Try changing the settings to 44100Hz (CD Quality) or to 48000Hz (typical of the iMovie formats).
Switch it back and forth even if it is already set properly. Then try again.

Nokia 5800 Sound problems in music player

Having a weird problem with the music player. When you choose a song to play, there is no sound unless you press either volume button, then the sound works normally. I have tried this in all different profiles, with and without headphones and nothing seems to work. Any ideas how I can get the sound back in the music player?

I don't know the exact solution to the problem but you may try to do a reset option. Sometimes with my N82 the sound just stops but the music is going. So i pause and play it again.
Try this reset but-
Before perfoming this please take a backup of your data.
Factory defaults-
Type *#7780# on your standby screen.
This will reset all your setting to default factory settings. User data wont be affected.
Soft reset-
Type *#7370#
This will reset the phone as well delete user data. Use when want to format the phone.
If none of these worked then you might want to do a hard reset.
For this you have to-
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.( Just in case of N78 it will be the multimedia key the small silver key on right side & for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. For Nokia N97 is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE. )
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button to switch on the phone.
4. Release the buttons when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.

Send Note from Nokia to Motorola: Problem

Hi!
I want send a "note" (A simple text string: "hello" created in the organizator menu) from my Nokia 6630 to a Motorola V3, through Bluetooth, but when the Motorola receive the note the phone displays the following error: unknow format
If I send the note to my PC I receive the file "hello.txt" with no problems.
Other phones like Sony, has no problems receiving notes. Is there any "format" more compatible with all phones?
If I want create a text file on my PC and send it to phones, what is the better extension? (.txt, .doc, etc.)

I been a Nokia user all my life and i have used nearly each and every premium phone starting from the model 2110.
it is sad that the way we are treated at least in India here. very disappointed with the bangalore call centre response.
see my message below in the board about my E90 and other problem is that i cannot see who called me last at times, i just called someone and now i am seeing the last dialled number it is of a few hours back from my address book.
My question is that, Why cannot a full testing be done from each and every aspect before the software or an upgrade is released, an upgrade should be an upgrade and not a "downgrade". Please hire us as your phone testing agents if you cannot get it done and give us a week and we will tell you where the problem is as we been using them for past 13 years.

How do I remove the background from a movie / sound problems

Apologies, not really sure what I’m doing…
How do I remove the background from a movie I made?
I imported a QT movie at 368/272 pixels, but for whatever
reason the HTML jumps up to 550/400.
The movie is still 368/272 but there is a background border
making it 550/400. Tried all sorts of settings in Publish but
can’t get rid of it. Can I keep the movie (and controller)
and not the background?
I can get round it by changing the background colour, but
surely there must be another way.
Also: My QT file was fine but the .flv has a stuttering
sound, any idea what could cause that?

Hello guys, i have bought a n93 because my Qtek 8300 was damaged severly, alright so i get the n93 and i cant use it becuase of a big problem. When i make calls on the recieivng side of when ppl c all there is a flickering noise (the speaker where ppl talk to you) or when i record video the noise happens again. Im so fraustraited becuase i cant use it to make calls only on the headset, so im sure this is speaker problem right? Someone please help me and tlel me what i can do.

Nokia 5320 Sound Problem....Please Please Help

im having a strange problem regarding phone's sound volume control
for the last 2 week or more...my phone hangs up a alot...and whenevr i make a call or recieve a call...volume automatically lowers down to 3 points...and sometimes to zero...moreover it doesn't increase on pressing the increasing volume buttons...otherwise the buttons work perfectly...it also happens in MUSIC PLAYER..whenever in the NOW PLAYING menu i try to go back in list by pressing right upper most button for BACK...volume goes to zero....i have to restart phone now and then
and im sick n tired of it...could you please gimme me the solution :-(

It is not possible for you to roll back updates. However, you could try resetting the phone.
Always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
First try these
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default
*#7370# - Reformat your phone
If the above two don't work then try try the "3 finger deep reset" which is depress these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone whilst keeping those same three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
This wipes everything in the Phone memory that is not part of the ROM.

Ipod Sounds Problem (Noise) OMG PLS HELP !!!

Ok guys,
I have a Ipod Classic 80G ...
All the functions works fine, songs, sync, movies, pictures (yay) !
But i week ago my ipod start to make a noise sound when i play my musics/movies !
The noise sounds is similar when ur listening to a very bad quality song ...
To understand the song i have to put the volume at MAX, but comes out really LOW and all noise and if i put the volume in LOW ... well cant hear nothing ... only noises !
I cant say if im the responsable for that prob ... cuz its all started when my Ipod battery got at 0% ... so i was recharging the battery and my pc crashed and Ipod disconnected and after that THIS PROB started ><
Firts i restored the Ipod ... lose all songs/movies/pictures =(
But the problem still happening ...
I tried squeezing the top right corner but no quality restored ...
So wut should i do to fix this problem ? Someone pls enlight meh here !
Should i take to Ipod's specialist ? or a Hammer will do the job ? Just Kidding xD
Perhaps the Sound Board got screwed !?

I have this same problem! From what I have read so far it seems to be the headphone jack that is the issue. Apparently you can change these out but I don't know if I am brave enough to try it.
I did have some luck with pulling the headphone plug out a bit. This seems to be a temporary fix but really in this case you are no longer connected and it is easy for the plug to fall out of the jack.

I've recently bought a KT3 Ultra2 6380E Mainboard and its GREAT!! I have one problem though, sound quality is poor and crackley...especially when playing DVDs and when the CD/Hard drive is being accessed. I'm using the supplied sound drivers and DVD player, but not the VIA drivers (they cause crashing resulting in total death of Windows!!) Any ideas whats causing the irritating crackling of the sound?
My PC Spec is:
Win98
Inno3D Tornado GeForce2 Mx/MX 400 64mb AGP Card.
Athlon XP 2200 CPU @ 1.8 Ghz

hey i'm new here i just got my ipod mini in jan. well my apple headphones broke so i justed used my other ones well now i used them up until today when i went to use my ipod no sound came out it was playing but no sound came from the headphones so i tried my old apple headphones but no luck i tried a tons of different headphones but nothing is working. i would be so so greatful if anyone could help thank you for you time

You might want to look at iPod - Service FAQ, or go to your local Apple Store/Reseller. If you iPod is still covered under the warranty, you can get new ones for I believe no cost. I would check on it before you do anything.

Sound problems after storm - please help

Last night there was a thunderstorm and I plugged my mac into its charger. I was playing a video and the computer started making clicking/static noises (I forgot you should turn it off in a storm). I then turned it off, plugged it back into the charger but decided to unplug it altogether and just leave it turned off but not charging. Now everything is working fine but if I play any sound the computer still makes that same noise it made during the storm (noise seems to be coming from area where top half/screen folds to meet the bottom half).
Is there anything I can possibly do to make the noise stop?

No I don't hear any noise unless I'm playing a video on the Internet. I just tried playing the video I played last night when the noise happened and the noise happened again, but the weird thing is when I tried playing other videos from this site the noise doesn't happen.
Maybe it has something to do with that specific Internet address or something.
Also I prayed over it, which seems silly but Jesus loves to show us He cares about the small things. And it worked because the noise stopped! God loves us so much

E72 Nokia Email Messaging Problem...please help so...

I got my first ever Nokia device, tried setting the Nokia Messaging using my primary email on Gmail. However, it kept giving the errors like 'verifying credentials failed' or 'the account has expired'
I reset my phone and through the email.nokia website, went to the internet and logged in using my Gmail add and password. After logging in, in order to delete the account, i clicked on 'remove' account and the account was removed. I thought that was the end of it.
I tried setting up Nokia Messaging again using a Hotmail id and it worked. Now I have push email on my cell phone enabled. I added another hotmail account, that also works. BUT when i enter the earlier Gmail id, it gives error that the id is associated with another Nokia Messaging account and please click next to create an account to check mail MANUALLY.
I tried logging in on email.nokia.com through the Gmail id like I had done initially but it says "The user name and password you entered do not match any accounts on record. "
If the Gmail id has been deleted off the Nokia Messaging server and it can't log in through it, why can't i add it to my current Nokia Messaging Account which is active and working?

Audigy 2 ZS - Toshiba SD-63HK Sound problems in XP and Vi

Right here we go,
I have connected and av amp to the Audigy via the SPDIF using a Coax cable and a Mono Jack to Phono converter from Maplin (product number RW04E).
Yesterday I tried it in Vista and got these results
Windows sound test - Worked fine
Cyberlink DVD player playing Matrix Revolutions - Worked fine. DTS lit up on the amp
Windows Media player playing my own WMA lossless files - was close to inaudible (too quiet even when all windows volumes were maxed out)
Gameplay F.E.A.R which does not run DD or DTS - again quiet like the media player
Today I plugged in my XP HDD and got these results
Creative Speaker test - listed below
Front left speaker test - The audio came out of the middle Speaker?
Middle Speaker Test - No Audio from any speaker
Front Right speaker Test - The audio came out of the right speaker
Rear Right and Rear Left Test - No audio heard from either
Windows sounds - Does work but only out of the middle and front speaker
Cyberlink DVD - funny result Audio only from Middle and Right but background sounds played at normal volume i.e music SFX but dialogue was inaudible. Also the DTS did not come on the amp where it did on Vista
Media player - normal volume but only middle and right speaker
So can anyone help with these problems?

I just bought and pickup my new N8 from Batelco, as soon as arrived home, I unpacked and only to find out that its not charging and not even opening.
If they recognized the fault, they should at least informed the customer or the supplier itself or distributor about this fault so as not to have this worst experience of my life. A brand new and costly phone is not worth having this kind of problem.
Bad thing was, when I told them about the problem, they send me right away to customer service instead of replacing it with new one.
Guys from Nokia, you should do better than this, its not healthy for your company to have such lousy and problematic phone.
