Mp4 in ipod classic 30 GB works perfectly while in ipod classic 80 GB no !

I've just bought a new ipod classic 80 GB, but all mp4 videos that worked with my 30 GB ipod now play for a time and randomly reset my new ipod.
Any ideas ?

Sounds like a problem with the jack, I had the same problem with my 160GB. If you're within your warranty the apple store may replace it, if not they might tell you to send it to a third party for repair, that's what they told me.

First, confirm that the iPad is charged and then try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

My audio does not work while watching online video. Works perfectly while listening music saved in pc.

While watching online movie / audio , my macpro doesnot stream audio. On downloading the audio works perfectly fine.

Decided to use cmd A to select all the icons on the desktop and then looked for a right click option. There it was - the option to move to a folder. I now have them all in this folder which tells me it holds 157 items. Now you know why I needed to know LOL

Illustrator and photoshop 2014 work perfectly, while Indesign crashes the entire operating system (mac osx 10.7)

Hi all,
Recently updated to CC 2014, and while both Illustrator and Photoshop run perfectly, every time I launch Indesign it crashes my entire operating system, forcing me to restart the computer.
I'm running Mac OS 10.7. Should also mention that clean unistall/install did nothing to fix the issue.
Anyone else having the same issue? Please help.

Ethernet active but not working - Airport works perfect

I have a very strange problem with my iMac.
One hour ago internet was working perfectly while being connected via ethernet cable.
Now it does not anymore.
General Settings - Network
The led of the ethernet is green when IPv4 configured manually - but internet does NOT work!!!
The led of the ethernet is green when IPv4 configured DHCP - and internet works!!!
In both settings then only thing that changes is the IP address, i.e.:
Manually I have to configure it as 192.168.1.21
With DHCP the IP is 192.168.1.160
I have read lots of discussions and tried the following:
Tested cable with LAN tester - fine
Tested switch / router / other computers connectivity via ethernet - fine
Tested connectivity on my computer using Airport and it works fine
Reset the SMC
Set service order Ethernet (top), then Wi-Fi
Launched terminal command netstat with following result

But it is when I do that, Internet stops working.

Your source video file is probably muxed.
Neither QT Pro or iTunes has the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.
See: iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files.
You'll need to use some other third-party software to do the conversion. There's a handful of software available. Just search the forums and you'll find many titles mentioned.
Try MPEG Streamclip.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

IPod touch works perfectly

The nature of these board call for problems, but I want to share that in the month I've had my iPod touch 3G 32Gb it has worked perfectly. I've benefited from the posting here to remember things like a WEP password and the difference between G and N wireless bands. Still, I am completely satisfied with my purchase - my third iPod - and hope others are having better experiences than what we see here.
(Now, of course, if OS4 messes up my good thing, all bets are off!)

And to second your opinion, I have had my iPod Touch for over 6 months and no issues. I have an iPod Classic 160GB which is over 3 years old and no issues. I also have an iPod Photo which is 5 years old and have replaced the batter since and no other issues.
These forums are designed to enlist and encourage those who have issues with Apple Products to post here and find solutions. This is why 99% (more than this) of the time the posts are all negative. Mathematically, therefore, we cannot use these forum numbers as a sampling of the mass population that own Apple products and conclude that they mostly do not work. The fact is that things are quite to the contrary.
How watch iOS 4.0 come out and mess my iPod Touch up! Hehehe.

IPod Touch: apps (facebook, twitter, facetime) don't work properly with my wireless internet having worked perfectly before. Help needed!

I got my iPod Touch 4g for Christmas 2011 and for the first 2 weeks everything worked fine - I could download apps; use apps to their full potential; use FaceTime; use everything.
But after the two weeks, the iPod decided to no longer work as well as it had promised. First of all, it would take more than 2 hours to download a single app from the app store and then, straight after that, I couldn't connect to FaceTime (it had worked perfectly before). Then, finally, to top it all off - Facebook and Twitter stopped working on occasions. For example, I couldn't post/send messages or photos on Twitter and at the majority of the time, the News Feeds wouldn't load.
Sometimes everything works but most of the time it doesn't. I've tried my iPod at every time of the day and it makes no difference - nothing still works! Also, I don't think it is the fault of my wireless internet because I've had an iPod touch before and it worked perfectly, and the laptop that I am writing this question on also works perfectly with wifi.
The weird thing is that I have used my iPod to its full potential (everything worked fine) at my friends hosue on multiple occasions - using his wifi. I am really lost for ideas for what to do - I have uninstalled all the apps that don't work with the internet (facebook, twitter) and have always made sure that I have closed apps after using them, so that my iPod wouldn't run slow.
My iPod has been like this for over a month now, help would be appreciated

I have a 5th Gen iPod Touch. It is running the latest iOS, and iTunes has the latest update. I have many compilation albums that I imported from CD. I want the individual artists and their associated song(s) to show up under "Artists." I have turned off "Sort by Album Artist" in Settings. This worked perfectly on my 4th Gen Touch. Each artist from a compilation would show up under "Artists" with the correct song(s) showing, while still showing the whole compilation under "Albums." Now, on my 5th Gen Touch, when I try to look at an artist from a compilation under "Artists," I get one of the following: the correct artist and song, an incorrect artist and song, or an incorrect artist with the entire compilation album showing up. Is this a bug in the new iOS 7, or am I doing something wrong? Anyone else with this problem? Any advice?

I have the same problem and I have been really trying hard to find a solution. No success.
My main problem is this: For example: Top Gun soundtrack - I look at Kenny Loggins under artists and I see his albums and songs, plus the 2 songs from top gun. Then when I look at Miami Sound Machine (also on top gun cd) under artist, I see correct albums from Miami sound machine, but under the top gun soundtrack, it shows the 2 kenny loggins songs instead. then if I look at another artist from top gun cd, it continues to show the kenny loggins songs. It doesn't matter which songs i look at, but the first one i start with will always show up on the others. Funny thing is, if I click on the song, the correct song plays, it just says it is the kenny loggins song!!! ha ha. Been dealing with this for over a year now. Pretty aggravating. Happens whether I have compilations checked or unchecked on settings. I have over 50 compilation albums and some are checked, some aren't...they all behave this way.
On Mac, itunes (v 12) it all shows up correctly and works fine. I have become an expert on ID tags and am very thorough with my tagging. HAND TAGGING, not some program that does it for you...they are never correct. I match all my tag info with the info in the iTunes store for each album so it is sure to match. Has taken a long, long, long time.
Love iTunes match, but this one issue is a real pain. Anyone with any ideas, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

ITunes 10.7 and AS working perfectly on Mavericks! But now I want to add an iPod-

Somehow— I don't know how or why— my computer running Mavericks is completely happy with iTunes 10.7 installed, and the App Store apparently works perfectly! I'm very, very happy about this (and happy with Apple lately for other reasons) because I don't like iTunes 11.
My question is, in previous installations neither the App Store nor my 2011 iPod Touch would work under iTunes 10.7 and Mavericks, and I had always assumed they were probably broken for the same various reasons (e.g., the CoreFP.framework, etc.). Since the App Store suddenly works on this new installation despite having iTunes 10.7, will adding my iPod 1) work also, 2) work also but screw something up such as the App Store, 3) not work, or 4) not work and screw up the App Store. Currently, I use a different ancient laptop to sync with and I ferry content over as I need to— I would truly be in heaven if I could use it with the new computer, but I absolutely don't want to risk losing the perfection I now have… I'd rather have this crippled, complicated iPod problem instead.
In addition, I'd be perfectly happy with reverting my iPod system software back to whatever best version that will let me do this, assuming that's even possible. If this approach is a good idea, what ios system version do I want (that is happy with 10.7)

You, the computer operator, are the main user of iTunes. You can sync some or all of your library to as many devices as you have. Each can have different selections of content.
