Mp4 to video

I am using Adobe Elements 8.0 to make a dvd from a panasonic camcorder that records in Mp4 format.  I am running a HP with 3.0 Ghz, 8 GB of ram with a HP BDDVDRW CH20L SCSI DVD,  Windows 7, 64bit. After setting up the video to burn it either locks up, or in other cases runs extremely slow.  I did do the 8.01 update.   A 3.7 GB video was 2% encoded after about 3 hours.  Not real fluent with the program, but shouldn't it run faster than that?  I also have a sony camcorder and it took about 3-4 hours to convert a 15 minute video I could upload to Youtube in a HD format.
Thanks

Some of the settings are in cameras and some in Premiere Elements.
You first choose to record from your camera at a particular setting.
And then, when using PrE, when you create a new project you try to match the project settings with the settings of your source clips.
I suggest that you download and install the free utility MediaInfo from the following link:
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download
Open Media Info and drag drop your source files to it.
Notice whether your source video is NTSC or PAL, the fps of your source video, and the resolution of your source video.
Then select a proper project preset according to what you saw in MediaInfo, when creating your new project.
Do this always as selecting proper project preset is very important for your project's success.
Also remeber that when computer go to sleep mode your encoding aslo gets stuck for that time, so do always remeber to turn off sleep mode from control panel when doing long duration burns.
For sharing to YouTube, you can first share your video to your computer and then manually upload it to www.Youtube.com
This will likely give you much better quality.

  • I would like to know how to put my .mp4 music videos into the .....

    Hello
I finally learned how to turn my music videos into a format that will play on my ipod and I am excited as **** about the whole thing. My one problem is I can't seem to put the music videos into the music video section. I would like to put my music videos in the music video section and I plan on making some of my favorite movies into .mp4 and keep them in the movies section. I would also like to know if I can have different folders for my movies? probably not eh? I guess they might just have to be in one big pile. That's ok I guess. So what's with the music video section? It would be nice to put them there. I guess while I am waiting for a response I am just going to convert the music videos and put them in the movies section..
Also I would like to share what program I am using to convert the files .. it's called
    " WinAVI iPod/PSP/3GP/MP4 Video Converter "
And it works great! Someone on my Facebook account told me about it. I tried to ask people here what I should use but I don't think I got a straight answer ( either that or I am mildly ******** or something )
One more question. How to I put my pictures into separate folders on my ipod?
    Aaron

    Hi everyone !
please forget about the pictures question because I figured that out ok !!
I just need to know if it is possible to put my .mp4 music videos in the music video section of iTunes and my iPod. Like I said I want to just put full length movies in the movie section. And I would like to have my movies in maybe separate folders like I said. One for Anime, One for Animation ect ect ..
ALSO I am wondering can I make my Windows Media Player Classic the default for .mp4 files? I tried to do that but it was giving me some weird error message
when I try and make it the default for .mp4 I get this message
" Windows Media Player Classic does not have enough privileges to change file formats. Please click on " Modify " button To Get Administrator rights. "
Does this mean that only Apple programs should be used to view these files?

  • My complaints and Questions MP4 M4V video files and other complaints

My complaints and Questions MP4 M4V video files and other complaints
I have been scratching my head as to how to fix my problem and I found some answers and some questions along the way. First of all, I have a video that should be correctly formatted for my iPod. Its specs are:
    Kind: MPEG-4 video file
    Size: 19.4 MB
    Bit Rate: 125 kbps
    Date Modified: 8/18/2009 2:15 PM
    Play Count: 1
    Last played: 8/21/2009 12:25 PM
    Profile: Low Complexity
    Channels: Stereo
    Total Bit Rate: 360 kbps
    Video Dimensions: 352x264
    Video Codec: H.264
    F:\File\AnotherFile\A3rdFile\TheMovieFileInQuestion.mp4
Wow that was a chore. Apple! Let us drag copy and paste our info tabs information so we don’t have to type all this stuff when we are having trouble. **another problem and suggestion** right there.
Ok, back to the problem of the forum.
From what I can see from http://www.apple.com/ipodclassic/specs.html this file falls in line of everything required in order to be able to play on my iPod. It plays in iTunes fine but will NOT sync with my iPod. I get an annoying message that states, “Some of the Songs and videos in your iTunes library, including “BlaBlaBlaiPondFixYourJunkBlaBlaBla”, were not copied to the iPod “My iPod” because they cannot be played on this iPod.” Why oh why can iTunes play this video file but my iPod cant. Especially when the specs on Apple’s website say it can.
So that was bugging me for a LONG time until I found my “Create iPod or iPhone version” option in the “Advanced” heading. Thank goodness this made my files playable on my iPod. Extremely LONG wait though. I know that other programs convert it in ½ the time. But times not to important as long as it gets done, (would be very convenient if it was faster though **Problem and suggestion**)
Ok, now that I have used the “Create iPod or iPhone version” option it has slowly but surly converted my video. Ok, here is my main problem, the new file which is the result of the conversions information is as follows:
    Kind: MPEG-4 video file
    Size: 35.4 MB
    Bit Rate: 125 kbps
    Date Modified: 8/18/2009 2:15 PM
    Play Count: 1
    Last played: 8/21/2009 1:28 PM
    Profile: Low Complexity
    Channels: Stereo
    Total Bit Rate: 658 kbps
    Video Dimensions: 352x264
    Video Codec: H.264
    C:\File\WhyIsThisNewFileInMyMusicFolder\TheMovieFileInQuestion.m4v
So basically it has made my file bigger *not a bonus in my book* greatly increased my Bit Rate *another interesting feature*, and I think the biggest change it has changed it from an .mp4 to an m4v.
Why does it need to be an .m4v I could have sworn some of my videos were or are in mp4 which shouldn’t matter anyway because I was under the impression that iPods could play mp4 files. So that’s my biggest complaint and question. Why can my 80GB classic iPod not play my MP4 files and why am I forced to convert them??
This conversion also creates 2 files in iTunes when I am done which is annoying because I have to go into my files info and look to see what file is the mp3 in order to remove it. Very annoying I can open my iPod options and see the files and some are faded (the ones it can not play) why can’t I remove them from that area.Suggestion Apple please make files that cannot be played on my iPod stand out some how for easier cleaning Suggestion. Thank you.
Speaking of cleaning iPods, when I moved my entire library to an external drive I was faced with a terrible problem. “This file could not be found, would you like to locate file”, I was faced with this annoying message at least 600 times. Now I am glad that iTunes has a little “!” mark to show dead links so that you do some minor cleaning, Good Job iTunes No compliant there. However iTunes has no way of selecting all the broken files for major cleaning (like in my case). Going through and deleting over 600 files 1 by 1 is extremely time consuming and annoying. **Suggestion Apple please add more cleaning features for organizing iTunes**.
Ok, speaking of organization now, another problem that appeared when converting my video files was that it put my new videos into the location where I have all my songs (my external hard drive) why can’t it put the new files in the locations of the original file? I have my computer highly organized and my original files were in that drive in that folder for a reason. If I could open my original file and skip the conversion, my iTunes would go to that specific folder to access the file which is fine. But now these new conversion files are elsewhere taking up space and disorganizing my computer. True I can go into the new location and move the files to where I want them (original location) but I don’t think I should have to hunt them down, copy, move, delete ect etc for all these files over and over. Very annoying, time consuming and should be unnecessary. **Suggestion Make file creation and location more customizable, and user friendly, your customers will love you for it**.
Well since I have gotten into Apples iTunes and iPod problems that I have had to face I might as well bring up one or two more problems and suggestions. About a month after purchasing my iPod a sibling bought one as well. His however is way more convenient then mine. I suppose he has a 5th gen. so here is my question: why does he have a search option and I don’t!!!! Why does he get more features every so often and I don’t?! Why can’t Apple write some software for us classic guys which got the iPods going! It’s very annoying when I have to spend more time looking for the song then I spend actually listening to it, when he can pull his up in like 3-6 seconds? I highly doubt the hardware between our iPods is that dissimilar and even if they are why cant software be written for us. **Suggestion treat all your customers good not just the newer ones, and make some more features for the classics like me and my iPod.” We will be grateful for it I promise.
Ok, I am almost done. Let me just recap my questions, I know my post is kind of lengthy.
#1. Why can’t my iPod play MP3 video files? And why do I have to convert to almost all the same settings except changing it from an mp4 to an m4v. according to Apples own site I should be able to play .m4v .mp4 and .mov files!! Note: remember iTunes plays them fine but my iPod will not.
#2. Would be much more convenient to be able to copy the information from the windows in iTunes so that problems and trouble shooting would be much easier. A little check on off options in iTunes advanced settings would be terrific.
#3. Why is the conversion so slow? Please speed it, you have the power. Convenience is the thing that sells products.
#4. Files that cannot be played on the current iPod need to be easier recognized for simpler cleaning.
#5. Also make an easier way to select all dead link files for faster cleaning, deleting, etc. This one is important.
#6. Make a user friendly way to change where my files are going to end up once I convert them for iPod more options and better customizable settings are need.
#7. One of the most important is ADD A SEARCH OPTION. I and we classics will LOVE Apple for it.
For you readers, I apologize for the long post, and any grammatical errors you might find throughout it. These are problems that I have faced with these programs and hardware and I wanted to make sure they got acknowledged and hopefully addressed. Any information about why I cannot play MP4 Video files on my iPod would be the best. If anything in my post gets answered that’s the one I want most. Will save me a lot of hassle.
Thank you all and I look forward to your suggestions and comments. All are welcome and appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Bond, James

Was playing with iTunes and thought of another suggestion! Let us play files in iTunes from an iPod! A friend or sibling should be able to plug his iPod into my computer open iTunes and play any of the files there. Many times I have wanted to show a movie clip or video to a friend, and I have the dock so I can do it on my T.V. but play it on their computer in their iTunes forget it. That would be a very nice feature as well so we can watch our movies at maximum size or listen to music on a better sound system, just another suggestion that would be nice. Thanks

  • I am not able to download mp4 files (video and audio) to iTunes since I updated to iTunes 11.  Thanks for your help.

I am not able to download mp4 files (video and audio) to iTunes since I updated to iTunes 11.  Thanks for your help.

Thank you for clarifying. Your question is in your browser, not in iTunes. Each download link is different, and it has nothing to do with the File menu. You can save media files by secondary-clicking on the link to the media file and selecting Save File to "[your downloads folder".

  • How to add mp4 format videos to itune 12

how i can add mp4 format videos to my iphone 5

    Hey there Amir,
According to the technical specifications for your iPhone 5, MP4 is a supported file format ( iPhone 5 - Technical Specifications ) so you can also try syncing the video over the same way you would sync music:
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer - Apple Support
If you are unable to sync these MP4 video files to your iPhone from your iTunes library, you can use this article to create a version that is compatible with your phone, and that version should sync over without issue:
iTunes: Videos may be unable to sync to iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • After upgrading, my MP4 vacation videos will no longer play.???

Just upgraded my old Leopard to Snow Leopard and quickly noticed that it takes 10-20 times longer to load some web pages, if they load at all. Also, I've had to switch to using Firefox to pay one of my credit card bills for this reason. And now I have noticed that the MP4 videos from my great vacation (stored in I-Photo) will no longer play. ???? Any idea what I can do? Thanks.

    Mac OS X (10.6.3)
Use Software Update or the OS 10.6.8 combo update to update your OS.  Also, update everything SU has to offer for your computer.  When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

  • IPad Won't Sync with MKV to MP4 720p Videos

I converted some mkv files (1280x720p x264, AC3) to mp4 using QuickTime 7 and Perian by exporting to mp4 with the video set to pass thru, and the audio set to AAC 160 Kbps 48 kHz. ITunes won't let them sync with my iPad, but it doesn't tell me why. One possible issue is that the atom (something I know nothing about) has been reported as having a length larger than the whole file by another program. Is there something I can change with my conversion method or an application on the Mac that will repair the atom?
    Thank you

I converted some mkv files (1280x720p x264, AC3) to mp4 using QuickTime 7 and Perian by exporting to mp4 with the video set to pass thru, and the audio set to AAC 160 Kbps 48 kHz.
Are you actually trying to determine the cause of the problem or just end up with a playable file? If the latter, then don't pass through the video unless you are certain it meets the Main Profile @ L3.1 (or under) standard. Otherwise, re-compress both video and audio to supported standards as specified on the Apple web site or use any compatible QT or third-party preset you may prefer.
If trying to determine the actual problem here, then download and use one of the various movie info utilities that will allow you to examine the various settings used to encode the source video track to specifically include the profile and level used and see if they comply with ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group standards. Many non-Apple custom encoded source files may either be encoded using profiles/levels exceeding iPad limits, employ hybridized or mixed encodings features drawn from multiple profiles/levels, or simply require a third-party decoder like those included in the Perian component package for playback and which, of course, are not available in the iPad firmware OS. Basically, when you pass the video data through without confirming its compatibility, you do so at your own risk.

  • Mp4/Mpeg videos not playing in Robohelp 9 preview

I have RH 9.02 installed on Windows 7 32bit. I'm able to embed captivate files without any problems. However, mp4 and mpeg files that I've inserted  in preview won't play. They play perfectly fine outside of RH. When I try to play the mp4 file, it recognizes it as an audio file rather than a movie but still doesn't produce a sound nor an image.
One time, I got it to start playing but then it just stopped all of a sudden. It shows the quicktime logo so I thought there was a problem with quicktime. I updated quicktime but that still didn't help. I then converted the mp4 file to mpeg and it did recognize it as a movie but it only shows a black screen. Here's the code for mp4 file:

    Judy

    Hi Judy
Unless I'm horribly mistaken, the MP4 format from Captivate is intended so that you can take the output and push it up to YouTube, Vimeo or other video sharing sites. If your goal is to use Captivate output with RoboHelp, I believe you should stick with using Flash SWF format. You will have much better luck and less hair tearing.
Out of curiosity, why or how did you settle on using this particular output?
If you insist that MP4 must be used, I think you will find you need to also factor in some form of a video player such as FlowPlayer.

  • N70 does not play mp4 music video

    sofware version v 5.0616.2.0.3
tried software update but is says looking for phone
the music video plays in quicktime on anoyher phone(sony)but not mine N70
do i need to update realplayer or how can i load quicktime on my phone

The supported, built-in audio and video formats for the N70 are listed in this table:
    http://forum.nokia.com/video
See the S60 2nd Edition devices "baseline" + the row with N70.
The mp4 video is probably encoded using H.264/AVC which is not supported, unless you find a suitable codec (enCOder/DECoder). Perhaps "coremp4" that jessemoore refers to is such (I don't know).

  • Mp4 converted video file is missing audio codec

I have several avi. files on my computer which were converted to mp4. using videora software. A few of these converted mp4. files then had no audio when I tried to play them on my Ipod. I am confused as to how to add the audio codec back into the video files. Do I have to install this to avi. then convert to mp4., or is there some audio codec which will apply directly to mp4. so they do not have to be reconverted? What is the procedure at this point? Thanks for your help in advance.

First thing to do is find out if Videora supports whatever audio codec the AVI uses.
If it supposedly does, write it off as one of the many bugs with videora and get a different transcoder that supports the audio codec.
Outside of having good knowledge of video production and the right tools-there is no easy way to do what you want.

  • Improting H264 MP4 format video

    Hello.
I have been trying to import videos that I recorded of my gameplay with AverMedia Live Gamer HD capture card.4
I have used H264 format and m.mp4 file extension. In older version of CC Premiere Pro videos did work just fine now in 2014 version I just get green screen in videos and I have no idea why.
Interesting is that I tried to transcode one video with media encoder to mp4 format and that did work out.m
So I am wondering that what is going on here.
If you do need any more details please ask and I provide. I just can't figure what would be useful at this point.
