Mp4 videos on asha 305

I updated the software of my nokia Asha 305 to 7.42 which is till now its latest version. But I am unable to view Mp4 videos on my mobile. How can I overcome this PROBLEM.

If you are about music, are you about the Nokia Music Store in your Nokia 305? Or do you use another phone model? If so, please, tell us which phone model you use. Then, we are able to address your issue at best.

Just convert your high quality video to PSP format
Keep video bitrate upto 200 kbps
And keep frame rate upto 20 fps.
Then convert it.

Having trouble with Asha 305 after updating

Hi....
I have a problem since i updated my Nokia Asha 305. I mean a major problem like....
The phone supported some MP4 videos in the previous version 5.92 .. But I updated my phone to Version 07.42. Now I can't play any MP4 Videos... Plzzz tell me how to fix this problem.....

@Abhirit, the software update removed the support for MP4 files due to the phone freezing while playing most of the MP4 files.
As it is completely impossible to downgrade the OS on these S40 phones, you are left with no option other than bearing it up. You cannot play MP4 videos on your phone anymore.

New update for asha 305

Nokia asha 305 which is next new version other that v.7.42 becouse it has hangout problem,very low quality video it does not play 3gp hq videos and mp4 videos , if i open the store application it gets erorr"application not found" and i reinstalled the sw then also same problem pls recover these problem in next update and when next update available .?

Need Of Important Updates Required Asha 305

I loved the update of Nokia Asha 305 V7.42. But there are many missing features which are required.
Phone memory gets full and only remedy i find is deleting the messages and contacts or going to nokia care and reflashing it.
Removing of unwanted apps like " news and offers, taaza videos, music mania, nimbuzz, ebddy, weather, chat, nokia music store, EAgames, nokia life" they are useless so please i need to remove them and i guess this would create more phone memory .
Need for copy and paste option.
Playing Full screen video is not supported.
Please try to incorporate minimising of apps.
Also try to incorporate fastlane or show all notifications in the pull down settings.
Pull down settings to be available at all screens.
Please add the screen rotation settings to turn them on and off and if possible more functions to it.
I am also getting 404 error while checking for update via fota what is it for ?????
Please update this features in near updates.

The reason behind phone memory full is apps like Facebook,twitter,taaza videos etc as we use it they are become heavy in size and due to that phone memory is getting full.
I have solution for that
1.download the apps from store which you want to remove.
2.arrange them near to each other.
3.delet one which is showing option to delet
4.after that you can see delet option on the original app.
5.delet that app too.
Try it.
If you can't download apps from store then download it on other phone (same model) and copy it on your phone.

any app does not open also nokia browser,ebuddy,whatsapp and downloaded apps and
does not play any video tells video quality too large only sound plays does not play any type of videos i.e nokia tells the supported videos does not plays also downloaded from store also does not plays video are played well in v5.92

@Nm305 these are all Java based application and require a working file system. Sometimes the file system get corrupted for example removing the battery+SIM too fast after a shutdown of the phone. The built-in reset is not able to re-create the file system. Therefore, did you consider the Software Recovery Tool via a Windows computer already?

i would also check via Nokia Suite if there are any firmware updates available for your device? there was an update recently that enabled one of the Asha 3xx devices to finally support online video streaming.

Asha 305 memory problem

In my asha 305.It always shows PHONE MEMORY FULL PLEASE DELETE SOME ITEMS but i can't delete anything because all are system file. PLEASE HELP

Download MobiMb.
Open the downloaded MobiMB.exe file and extract the files to a new folder on your PC.
Run the extracted Setup.exe file from this new folder.
Accept the license agreement for setup and leave the product activation fields blank.
Save the ‘MobiMB mobile media browser’ desktop shortcut and finish the setup.
Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable and run the MobiMB mobile media browser from the desktop.
Click on ‘Start MobiMB.
Click on: File > Settings.
Choose: Add a new connection > Cable connection > Nokia native USB phones > CA-101 cable (Micro USB).
Press OK.
Now you have your phone’s file system. View and add/remove files according to your needs.
Delete the Junk files in the Gallery, Games & Apps and Menu apps.
Some items may show ‘error’ when attempting to delete them – skip these and delete images, music, videos. Themes, wallpapers, tones, graphics etc. to make space.
You can safely delete all the pre-installed games and apps – delete the .jar or .jad files of apps that you do not need. Private file folders may not be removable.
You can delete bundled apps like Nokia xpress browser on your phone’s menu or main file system from MobiMB > C: > Menuapps.
If you are not aware of what the other files do, it’s better not to mess around those – accidentally deleting important files may cause your phone to crash.
After making necessary changes, close MobiMB and disconnect your phone from the USB.
You can now use the cleared storage space in your phones internal memory for personal data.

There is YouTube on Nokia asha 310. Is it available on Nokia asha 305/306 . I need to catch up with trending videos around the world & am so lacking behind.

I am using Nokia belle 111.030.0609 for past few days and found some good things as well as bad things.
Good things are:-
1.Swipe lock feature
2.New camera features
3.Image editor inbuild
4.New keybboard
5.Hindi fonts
Bad things are:-
1.Battery life decreased.I am using Nokia battery monitor 3.1.Before update, it shown me Average use 52 hours ,Music playback time 37 hours but now it is showing Average use 34 hours ,Music playback time 18 hours.I charged my phone in night to 100% and when I check the battery in next morning, it shows 95%.I didn't configured any mail.No antivirus, no call recording application or any other application running then why battery is draining very quickly without using any application.
2.When i play any music or video file and icreased volume to 100%, it shows me "To prevet possible hearing damage,do not listen at high volume levels for long periods ot time". and i unable to listen music at full volume.Right now, i can listen music only with 50 % volumne.There is no option to diable it.
2.No button to use front camera
3.No back button when open camera
4.Unable to connect social(Facebbok,Twitter).When i tried to start it, it show "Unable to start"
5.No multiple mark check in gallery.Its very difficlt to transfer many files one by one to another mobile using bluetooth or NFC.
6.Unable to set any photos as wallpapaer using gallery.There should be an option to set a photo as wallpaper.
7.No video editor
8.Consuming more memory
Ih there aany way to downgrade the fiorware.I dont like the current firmware.

the FOTA update packages for the latest Asha 305 update were quite big (around 5 MB) and it takes some additional space on top of that to get the package installed to the phone. If there is a memory card inserted to the phone, the update package should get downloaded to memory If not, then phone memory is used for the whole process. Asha 305 does not have a lot of free phone memory even in fully clean state (~10 MB), so this can be a problem.
ways to work around this memory limitation:
* use a memory card in the phone - then the FOTA update package should get downloaded there instead of phone memory. If needed, you can also transfer pics, videos, user installed apps to the memory card to free up space.
* alternatively you can update the device with Nokia Suite on your PC. With that update method there's no similar memory limitation, so having a memory card is not necessary.
* If the above options do not work, as a "last resort" you could take the phone to a Nokia Care service for update/reflashing.

Previewing/Playing HD SHQ MP4 video in Timeline is choppy and static.

Previewing and playing back my HD SHQ MP4 video from my Sony Xacti HD video camera in the Timeline is choppy. I have to export to QT in order for me to see the video smoothly.
I have crammed the Power Mac full of RAM (8GB) and have four external FW800 drives, and have set all the system settings to playback at full quality, but it still is choppy. Is there anything I can do? Or is this HD video just too much for even this machine?

It doesn't matter how fast your hardware configuration is.
mp4/h.264 is not an editing codec, but a delivery codec.
Look at your easy set ups. There are none for mp4/h.264.
Both formats are computational intensive and to decode them for editing is nearly impossible.
convert to DVCProHD or pro res or AIC. Those are editing formats.
