Mp620 error 306

Hi,
Did a search and it wasn't much help, so I'm posting.
Every time I go to print wirelessly I have to fix something, do this, do that, and it's very frustrating. I bought a wireless printer for convenance, and so far I haven't experienced that a bit.
Here what I'm getting:
/usr/libexec/cups/backend/canonijnetwork failed
Error Number : 306 A communication error has occurred. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer. Then try printing again.
Thanks for any help in advance

Hi Marc,
Thanks for trying those steps. The issue we have now is that we don't know if the error is a result of the printer losing a connection/dropping off the wireless when the 306 error occurs or if the error is related to some other driver malfunction. So I suggest we work on the latter and replace your current drivers and network tool with the latest versions available.
You mentioned that you have tried some other Canon drivers. I want you to try the MP620 v10.26.1 driver and the IJ Network Tool v2.70. If don't already have these versions you can use the links below.
The Canon driver files are located in HD > Library > Printers > Canon > BJPrinter. Please trash the contents of this folder and then empty the trash so that we can start again with a clean slate. Note that in order to empty the trash you might have to stop the Canon IJ Network Tool, which can be done via Activity Monitor.
With the trash emptied, restart your Mac and then install this version of printer driver and Canon IJ Network Tool.
To ensure you have the correct driver installed after you add the network printer, go to Options & Supplies and under the General tab ensure you have v10.26.1.
Hopefully this gets you printing more than a couple of lines. I suggest you try TextEdit first - I've never liked using Word as a test application.
Let me know how that all goes...

  • Itunes cannot connect to iTunes store error 306

Hi, I think I originally posted this on the wrong forum. So I will repost and hope for the best.
Up until recently I used to connect to the internet via airport and everything worked fine. I could connect to iTunes store no problem.
The connection was all set up by the local phone company and somehow they connected the iMac to airport via a modem.
I know that this appears to defeat the point of airport but it worked fine.
I had connection problems with the modem (it was old and needed replaced) that was attached to the airport and iMac. I arranged for the telephone company to come and replace the modem. However, although they replaced the modem and the internet connection is fine.
What they did not do was to reconnect the Airport device and now I cannot connect with iTunes store. Now instead of connecting to the internet via the Airport connection I now connect via Ethernet
The error message I get is
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occured (306).
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I think that if someone could advise how I stop trying to connect to the iTunes store via Airport but via an Ethernet connection

    Click the Advanced tab.
    Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
    Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:

  • Printing from Mac Book Pro to windows printer Error 306

    Error 306
I tried several setups before I figured this out.
Trying to print to windows printer
Mac Book Pro / Canon MX 870 resulted in print error 306.
Home network with Linksys  wireless N router
First delete the printer on the Mac.
Make sure you go to Canon's website and download latest driver for your Mac. Canon's software driver site detects your operating system automatically and takes you to the driver you need, just make sure everything matches up. You can see the OS version you are using by clicking on the apple icon and then (about this mac)
I also down loaded network tool package. Not sure if you need it, but I loaded it too.
Now on the Canon MX870, go to the wireless set up menu. (key pad on the printer itself). Follow the promts and you will get to where you can enter your network password and get your printer to connect to your router. Now the wireless Icon on the printer will be on steady.
Now back on the Mac, Click the Apple Icon, System Preferences, then click on printers and scanners.
You will see, Default- Scanner- IP- Windows, icons at the top of the page. Just be sure the default is highlighted.
My Scanner came up first, then a few seconds later the printer appeared.
    Select the printer
Use the one with all the numbers after the printer name. (MX870xxxxxxxxxxx)
    Canon U Network
Click on it and then click the add button bottom right
Make sure your are always in good wireless signal strength throughout the entire process.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed info Lou!

other than that there are logical errors in this
u hav to use here != with the while loop.
Again loop willl never return to first block. It will stuck at last block and will show error.
For ur question u can use as
    declare
         --block_id block;
         --item_id item;
         vc_first_block varchar2(65);
    begin

  • Form Builder. Error 306 wrong number or types of arguments in call to populate_table

Hi ! I'm trying to build a simple form based on a procedure.
    the error that i get:
error 306 - wrong number or types of arguments in call to populate_table
When I use the Data block
wizard, I specify the procedure with a ref cursor argument. the procedure code:
    open ind_prof for select i.nome, i.idade, p.nome
    from individuo i, individuo_profissao ip, profissao p
    where i.cod_individuo=ip.cod_individuo
    and ip.cod_profissao=p.cod_profissao;
The error that i get 'points' to this procedure. I checked the cursor type, the record
    type and everything seems ok.
I'm using a ref cursor to query.
I have the same proble either using a procedure or a function.
There is another method to load the data into the block. That procedure is called
automatically and it has a table of the same record type as the ref cursor as an
argument. What code should I write on it ?
what should I write in both of them ?
    Thanks !

  • Can anyone assist me on Error 306?

I have installed iTunes 10.6 on my Windows XP. I have also downloaded music files etc. When I try and access the iTunes Store from my XP laptop, I get the Error message "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store (306). Make sure your netowrk is active and try again". However, my network is very much active. Rebooting the laptop has not helped. Can anyone help me understand why I am getting this error, and what I can do to overcome it? If I uninstalll and reinstall, will my downloaded music files get wiped out?

  • Error 306 on win7 wired network, but no problem on laptop on same network, wirelessly

iTunes on a wired network is not working correctly. Internet connection in all other areas is working. When running iTunes, update notification works, downloads updated version, but I keep getting the error 306 message when trying to update apps.
The icons are all blank or have blue question marks.
On the same network, just wirelessly, my laptops iTunes works perfectly.
TCP/IP settings are identical on both.

Windows is absolutely passing the buck, and what is more, they are doing it in hopes that we will pass them more bucks- Windows 7 offered a program (for free) that was called windows media center.  Windows 8 does not have this however, they will suggest
that it you pay an additional $99.99 to upgrade to windows pro and THEN another $9.99 for windows media center, all will be fine in the media sharing department....
    UNTRUE-
I have Windows 8 and fresh out of the box, I got an app called XBox Smartglass with my new (and supposedly improved) OS, Windows 8.  Therefore, it is an OS issue, not a manufacturing issue or an Xbox issue or where ever else you may want to stream your
    media to.
However, for whatever reason, I have been able to share media without upgrading or paying anything with not one, but two Xbox's...It has something to do with permissions, sharing, devices, networks...but don't ask me what, I truly, truly wish I could help
everyone...however, I just do not want windows weaseling more money out of already high paying customers.
Sometimes I right click on a pie of media and I receive a 'Play To' option.  Sometimes that options offers me to 'Play To' 'The Dark Box' or 'Xbox 360' or one but not the other or; my personal favorite- the 'Play To' option is gone and the only option
is to 'Open With' the various media outlets on my PC but not stream it anywhere...and there is no rhyme or reason or setting that makes this consistent.
I wish I could help more, but I leave you with this- It is possible, It does have to do with Windows OS, and you do not have to pass anymore bucks their way to make it happen...
