  • Webex Node Multi-Tenant Configuration

    Hi,
We are currently deploying webex node on ASR for a client, in the UC 8.x it mentions the ability to multi-tenant the node capabilityes e.g
    Page 22-9
"There is also the potential to deploy the WebEx Node for ASR in a multi-tenant capacity, in which two
businesses working closely together with staff working on each other's premises could have the other's
WebEx site defined on their ASR Nodes. This means that, when staff for Enterprise B access their
company's WebEx site through Enterprise A, they can use the local ASR Node to accelerate their
meeting while saving bandwidth for Enterprise A. This feature can also benefit organizations that have
    multiple WebEx sites."
This is the only reference in any guide I can find to being able to do this.
Has anyone actually done this? Is it actually possible? and if so does anyone have any documentation that they can point out that may be of use trying to deploy this type of solution.
I know it's a long shot but any help is much appreciated.

    Hi A.Zarei,
Based on your description, I recommend to check if the Managed Metadata service application is associated with the web application where your My Site hose site exists.
Please double check if the service account of the My Site host site web application and the user profile service application has read permission on the Managed Metadata service application.
    Best regards.

  • Meeting place Webex Node 8.0 Web interface

    Hi all,
I just installed Meeting place Webex node , an i want what exactly the URL link to access to this server.
    Thanks in advance
    Hicham

What I know you can just connect to the servers ip address/DNS name and you will just see a status page like the one attached
There in not much more you can do on the node via web, all configuration is done via the CLI

sir any doc related to adding node on vmware.
thanksVmware is nothing but the virtual set up that you have. Adding/deleting nodes from cluster is not going to be a different procedure. you would be required to have a third machine set up and add it to the current cluster. Other than that, you can remove one of the nodes out of your 2-node cluster, making it a single node cluster and than reattach it. This would give you a good idea about both the things.

  • Webex node configuration..

    Hi all!
I am thinking in implementing a webex node, but I can´t find any documentation about how implementing, what do I need? and cost. And if is supported in Mexico. Help, please!
    Best regards!

WebEx node went EOL for quite some time now

If you're asking about CWMS, there's plenty of information on cisco.com about.
All the requirements are outlined in the documentation, if you want to know about costs and availability, get in touch with a local Cisco representative.

  • Webex Node

    Hi all,
Anyone know what is the disadvantage if there is Cisco Meeting Place without any web server or Webex node?
Can i still organize the meeting & share the content?
    thank you.

No disadvantage. All the WebEx Node for MCS did was provide a rendezvous point for WebEx clients that were inside the firewall to terminate their session to. This lowered the bandwidth requirement toward the WebEx SaaS cloud. For example: if you had 10 users in a meeting, all behind the firewall, you would have 10 streams to the local node and one from the node to the WebEx cloud instead of all 10 clients connecting to the cloud directly.
In the MeetingPlace 8.5 design you were required to hold a WebEx MeetingCenter contract. The local MeetingPlace server was only an audio/video bridge. It was not a standalone solution. The recently announced WebEx Meetings Server is an entirely standalone product which does not require a WebEx contract.

  • Registering with the WebEx Data Center and the Cisco WebEx Node Management System

    Dear guys, ...
    Please help,
i want to implement to webex node ASR1000, i have read in "Configuring the Cisco Webex Node for ASR 100.pdf", there is prerequisites to implement it, that is "Registering with the WebEx Data Center and the Cisco WebEx Node Management System"
Can someone tell how to "Registering with the WebEx Data Center and the Cisco WebEx Node Management System"
Are there any step by step documentation to "Registering with the WebEx Data Center and the Cisco WebEx Node Management System"?
    Thank you
    BR

You should have received a PAK Key with your order.  Go to Cisco licensing and enter the PAK Key as this will start the process.  Once the PAK Key is validated a screen will be displayed to enter your request for ASR 100 integration.  It normally takes a few days to a couple of weeks to get the information back from WebEx needed to configure your ASR.
If you did not get a PAK Key contact your WebEx rep to get the process started to integrate your ASR to your WebEx site.
    Hope this helps

  • Cisco MeetingPlace 8 EMS with WebEx node for MCS

    Hi All,
I am in the process of setting up Meeting Place for the 1st time for my office UC Collaboration suite
    Products installed:
Cisco Meeting Place 8.x NFR (8.0.1.3)
Cisco Meeting Place 8.x WebEx Node NFR (8.0.1.8)
I been doing days of reading on the docwiki. Audio conferencing with the MP alone is working fine on my setup
I am trying to configure for Web Deployment: Cisco WebEx Scheduling, Internal Meetings.
Would like to keep everything on-premise
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_8.0_--_Choosing_a_Web_Deployment_for_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_8.0#Components_Used_for_Cisco_WebEx_Scheduling.2C_Internal_Meetings
    Doubts/Enquiry
    It states that component used:
    Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Application Server.
    Express Media Server.
    Cisco WebEx Node on MCS.
    Cisco WebEx site.
Required in order for the user to join a meeting.
One Cisco WebEx site handles both internal and external meetings
I believe that i am missing the Cisco WebEx site step. I have key-ed in PAK license for the WebEx Node on go/license website. But i do not receive anything in return for almost a day now.
Am i on the right track; expecting Cisco/WebEx to send me some Site Registration form or etc?
Based on the fact that i am on a NFR kit
    Please advise
    Regards: Jocelyn

-When Provisioning a WebEx node, it must be able to register to a WebEx site in order to function and for provisioning to complete. Without a WebEx site to communicate to, the node is unable to host internal WebEx meetings. As such, a WebEx site subscription must also be included in any setup of a MeetingPlace/WebEx integration.
-Based on this requirement, MP 8.0 is not able to provide a complete on-premise web conferencing solution. Integration with the WebEx Cloud is needed.
-Unfortunately TAC does not have visibility to the WebEx site or node provisioning process until it is completed. In this situation we must reach out to the Account Team or Point of Sale for the WebEx site in order to determine the status of the initial provisioning process.

  • Meeting Place 8.0 + Webex Node?

    Hello to all,
We have purchased two IBM 7835 servers with the intention of building on as meeting place 8.0 (EMS) and one as a webex node,
The question I have is about the placement of the servers.
I have read the SRND and are still not sure where the webex node (collaboration) server is to be placed, the docs say this should typically be on the
    inside network closest to participants
Also where is the best placement for the MP 8.0 server DMZ or Inside the nework,
I guess the  collaborative model we are looking at is the
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace with Cisco WebEx Node for Cisco MCS
Any help or docs would be well appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rich

    Hi all,
I encounter the same constraint, so I want to ask you :
We've deployed a Meeting place8.0.0.393 in LAN. Then a Webex Node for MCS will be added.
The concern is that Meeting place is deployed in that LAN, then the WebexNode will be installed there also (on premise).
Thus the DNS that will be used is like "myenterprise.local". ( mpapps1.myenterprise.local and  wbxNode1.myenterprise.local)
Its not like .com or .org or any domain reachable from Intenet. the .local is not reachable from Internet.
So my question is : is it possible to use this domain.local in the place of the place of the FQDN of the webex node and Application Node fields?

    Antra

  • Meeting place 8.0 and WebEx Node Integration issue.

    Hello All,
We have installed MP 8.x and Webex node on seperate servers. After this we have installed a webserver.exe and sql server on a different server and configured the GatewaySIM and sql. connectivity is fine.
    1. Please let us know how to login to MP user portal. (What is the URL)
    2. How to integrate Webex with MP?
    3. Is there a good document to bring up the webex web interface.
    Regards,
    Shaijal

    Take a look at http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_8.0_--_Integrating_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_with_Cisco_WebEx
That has all the information I used to eventually get the MP WebEx integration to work for us.
If you have problems you may struggle to get a good answer from Cisco on this, unfortunately there is very little knowledge of WebEx within Cisco TAC, something they badly need to address.

  • Install RAC OBS on single node using VMWare

Re: How to install Muti_node R12 using VMWARE
    Mine is a little different.
I have the Test server which has OEL5 and one OAS 10g(Oracle application Server) with 10g database.
I want to install RAC OBS on this server by installing VMWare for the single node. I do not want to wipe out the OAS, reinstore OSL5 and start from a blank machine.
Can I keep what I have on the server and install RAC OBS by installing VMWare, configuring the virtual sharing disks, and install RAC OBS using ASM?

    Hi,
Can I keep what I have on the server and install RAC OBS by installing VMWare, configuring the virtual sharing disks, and install RAC OBS using ASM?Yes, you can. Just make sure you have sufficient resources on this machine.

  • NLB Nodes on VMware and Avaya

    Hello,
We have 2 windows 2012 servers doing NLB. Each machine is a Vmware virtual machine. I have setting one ethernet adapter different to LAN for NLB network and setting a MLT with the 2 ports of this adapters. The problem is that I only see the 2 nodes on NLB
administrator when are on the same ESXi, if I put the nodes on different ESXi I only can see itself.
I have config a ARP entry on the MLT too.
    Any ideas, please?
    Sorry for my english.
    Thanks and regards
    David

David, First of all VMware does not support NLB in Unicast mode. You need to configure NLB in Multicast or IGMP Multicast mode. But these modes require switch assistance by adding a static ARP entry on your router/switch.

    Hi,
You can visit the Planning guide for Cisco Webex Meeetings Server which says
Because of architectural differences, there is no migration path (for existing user accounts, customizations,
and meetings) from CiscoUnifiedMeetingPlace to Cisco WebExMeetings Server. These are two distinct
    products.

  • MP8 and WebEx

If we need to do only Internal Collaboration using MP8, I understand that we'll need a Web-Ex Node, but would we have to purchase a WebEx contract or incur any WebEx-related monthly charges?

Yes. A WebEx Node for Cisco MCS only extends the WebEx cloud to your premises; it is literally a member of the MediaTone network. Your Cisco AM or partner should assist you in this decision process. One option in this scenario would be to purchase a WebEx contract using the port-based model. In that scenario you may purchase internal (inside the firewall that attach to the cloud via the local node) or external ports (outside the firewall participants that attach to the cloud via a WebEx data center).
