MPD won't load after compiling x264 [Solved]

I had to compile a recent version of x264 so I could install mplayer-mt-git, but now I noticed MPD is not working.
After some fiddling around, I figured out MPD wants to load libx264.so.67 although I have libx264.so.80. How do I fix this?

I still have this issue with current mpd.

When will the update be in main repo?
define current mpd. note that mpd doesn't link directly to x264 and looking at mpd dependency i guess you don't use ffmpeg from our repo.
so pacman -Qs ffmpeg

My apps won't load after updating to iOS4.3.2. What to do?

Yes, I tried that (thanks for the suggestion, though!). In my music app, when I click on certain songs, the screen moves to try to start the song, but then it bounces back to the menu screen without playing the song. On many albums, when I click on the first song, a song about halfway through the album will start to play rather than that first song. My other apps seems to be fixed, but not the music function.

  • Lightroom 5 won't load after 30 day trial of Lightroom3 error.

I tried the 30 day trial of Lightroom 3 that I got with the Photoshop Elements 10 when I got my new computer.  The Lightroom loaded one picture and said I had an error and would try to find a solution.  I bought Lightroom5  and tried to install it and it keeps going back to the error of Lightroom 3 trial.  I tried to delete all programs associated with Lightroom and reinstall, but nothing happens.

it just reads "Lightroom-Opening Catalog:New Years Day 2014 031.JPG.Ircat   assertion failed!
New Years day 2014 is a folder and 031 is the picture in the folder that I tried to enhance in the 30 day free trial of Lightroom 3.  I bought Lightroom 5 from B &H and it appears to be hung up on the Lightroom 3 trial.

  • ITunes won't load after recent upgrade

I see I'm not the only one with this problem. I've been through the FAQ and removed and downloaded iTunes and Quicktime separately multiple times, but iTunes won't load. It will be difficult to buy more songs like this.
I've a Sigma Tel Audio driver installed by Dell. I'm running McAfee anti virus. Let me know what other info will help somebody to help me solve this.
    Thanks.

    a few questions before proceeding.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if no error message, a few more preliminary questions aimed at narrowing in on possible culprits.
    (1) do you have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on the PC?
    (2) try launching your QuickTime. does it:
    (a) launch perfectly fine?
    (b) fail to launch with an error message? (if so, what does it say?)
    (c) exhibit other peculiar behavior? (if so, could you describe it for us?)
    (3) reboot the PC. bring up your Task Manager, and click on the "Processes" tab. now try to launch itunes again.
does an "itunes.exe" process appear in the Processes tab? if so, does it persist in there or does it disappear after a few seconds?

  • IBook G4 won't load after latest security update, repair doesn't work?

Hi I had the same problem as someone else in this forum:
"Last night I saw that my ibook G4 wanted to do a security update. I told it to do it, and the ibook has not started since. It reset itself after downloaded, but it just stays on the booting up screen, never actually booting up so I can use it. After about two hours of trying to boot up, I turned it off, and on again, and it still wont boot.
I really need suggestions as how I can fix it. Thanks

    HI,
Ok... you need to boot from your install disk.
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If you cannot boot from your install disk, try booting in Safe Mode
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck
If you have the original hard drive in this iBook, it was probably a 60GB drive? When you can do this, check to see how much available disk space there is.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop, then click: Get Info. In the Get Info window, click the discovery triangle so it's facing down. You will see; Capacity and Available Make sure you have 10% available disk space, 15% is better. Not enough available drive space can cause issues like you are experiencing.

I tried restarting it after the repair (there were some things to repair and I tried to repair twice just to make sure it didn't miss anything) but it still won't load. It says its starting the OX system, but when the blue bar reaches the end, it doesn't do anything from there. I also left it on for hours and it did nothing. My mousepad still lets me move around the mouse, the caps lock key still lights up, as the num lock key. I tried safe mode but that won't load either...any other suggestions?

*" I also left it on for hours and it did nothing. "*
Your iBook needs to go in for repairs.

  • CFB won't load after update 1

I'm running CFB plugin on Eclipse 3.5.1 on Win 7 x64. I purchased CFB right after update 1 came out, restarted eclipse, entered my key, updated the software, restarted eclipse using the -clean option, and everything worked great. I've been using it for the past week. However, I just restarted eclipse for the first time since I've updated, and it won't load CFB. I get the following error:

    Please help!!!

To fix this, I launched eclipse again with the -clean option. CFB asked me to enter a key (which I already had done before I applied update 1). I entered the key again and CFB loaded.
I had already run eclipse with the -clean option after installing CFB update 1. I double checked to make sure I didn't have to do this each time I restarted eclipse - I quit eclipse and launched it again, and CFB loaded. Everything seems to be working okay now.

  • Zenworks won't load after NW65sp5 install

I'm not sure if this should be posted here or elsewhere...its a java

Server is NW6.5SP3 running Zenworks 4. I installed the above service pack

  • Safari won't load after update

I updated my MBP to 10.5.6 today, after the update Safari won't load at all on administrator account. I went to Preferences and trashed the .plist and that didn't help. It does load on the guest account.
    Any suggestions?
I want to keep using Safari because of my iPhone and MobileMe.

Would that be in the console log inside disk utilities?

After compilation system slow downs i hear my hdd crunching even on simple things like simple cli logon. Xfce4.10 load slowly nothing like the first time on standard arch i686 packages - i even create new user to start up xfce4,but default xfce template loads slow in comparision to the first time on
    march=i686 mtune=generic.
    So gcc doesen't like k8 family ?
Also no matter what kernel i use ck-kx or arch repo, performance is really not satysfying.
Any tips ideas and trick will be much appreciated.
    system specs:
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+
    1gb x2 DDR2 Kingston Dual Channel
MB Chip Nvidia Nforce 550 MPC
pure systemd. - no failed services.

Kernel-ck-k8, yeah might work with march=native, but then again, kernel-ck might call it something different to diffentiate it from a regular compile.  The kernel is the only thing that is k8 optimized.  The rest of the packages are standard arch packages.  I think I may have killed my motherboard with linux-ck, but I have no for sure may of confirming.  I'm not sure how software can melt your chipset.  The kernel variables for io_scheduler in the ck kernel are changed to get the performance, but I didn't really notice any big performance.  My chipset was so melted down it took 8 hours to complete one cycle of memtest (memory wasn't the problem).

  • System won't load after startup repair - Satellite A500

    Hi guys,
I've got a problem with my laptop. I shut down my laptop directly by switching off from the switch. After I start the laptop the system recommends startup repair but it was unable to repair and after that it just went up to the welcome page and it won't load anymore.
Do anyone have any idea what is the problem?
    Thank you

    hi plioe,
can you run chkdsk on the hdd?
do you hear unusual sounds from the harddisk?
it seems that your harddisk has some problems...
this causes a slow startup or failure to boot...
but to be sure a recovery is recomended in some cases the software configuration went bad...

  • Safari won't load after latest software update

After the latest software update from Apple, Safari won't load. I've deleted the p.list and run OnyX to clean the system. It still won't load. This is a pain as Safari is my default browser and I have to get into Safari to change that. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?
    Thanks!
    Quicksilver G4   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   1.5Gb RAM

    Welcome Pauline;
Actually you can change your default browser from within Mail, just go to Mail preferences and set the default browser to whatever you want. Unless you have cloned your system (before the update)which I heartily recommend,
you may have to use Pacifist to extract Safari from
    the 10.4 installation package.
    Hope this helps,
    Miriam

  • Page won't load after snippet insert

I just installed the code for Google Analytics through an HTML snippet in iWeb, which i put on each page then published the site. But after i did so, my website won't load at all, and i cannot figure out why. Any ideas?

Well, here's  the HTML Snippet with your code :
    http://mkstudios.comxa.com/MK_Studios//Home_files/widget2_markup.html
Google will analyze the widget page, not the page you ceate in iWeb.
Use my method or change the lines in the code by adding the word parent :
    var ga = parent.document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    ga.src = ('https:' == parent.document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
    var s = parent.document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
