Mpg files missing parts

I transferred an MPEG (.mpg) movie file from windows to my mac, 64MB. It is about 15 mins long in windows.
When I try to play it on my mac using Quicktime it only plays the first 2 mins? It is still 64MB in size, but it doesn't play it all.
What is more confusing is that moving the pointer around (the little progress bar) to skip bits, you can see later bits of the movie, like the end.
Is the file corrupt? Can I find a way to restore it?
I have also tried playing it with the a divx player I have, and no luck. It won't let me chose Mac Windows Media to play it strangely??

First.
Throw away Windows Media Player for Mac. It's useless on your Intel machine.
QuickTime playback of MPEG 1 or 2 is dependent on a timecode found in the file. Many times they're "broken" do to poor editing.
MPEG Streamclip (free) can repair the file and even convert it to QuickTime formats.

Do as it says: Put your downloaded 7z file and the *.exe in a proper folder, not just dump it onto your desktop or whatever.

I am trying to install RoboHelp 11 on my work laptop, and I keep getting the following error message: "The file archive part of Adobe RoboHelp 11 is missing. You need all the parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe RoboHelp 11. Please download all parts."
I am not sure what files they are talking about. The IT department bought RoboHelp for me and put it on my network drive. The only thing there was an .exe file. I tried copying that to my desktop and installing, but I keep getting that error message. Is there somewhere on the Adobe site where I can download the missing files? Or do I need to talk to the IT department to get them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for windows users there is normally an exe and a 7z file. the exe is the extractor and the 7z is the archive.

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 last year & downloaded it on my PC. Bought laptop specifically for downloading PSE 11 to use (with correct specifications - windows 8.1) & when double click to run application keeps saying file archive part of PSE11 is missing & need all parts in same folder to extract & to download all parts. I have been downloading both parts (using Firefox) & put both parts in same folder. I have already looked on forum & seen people have had same problem & followed advice given to them (& links) but still going round in circles with this. Try extracting all of the files from the zip file first. I received this same error when trying to run the exe from within the zip.

there are two files for win os, an 7z and an exe.
download both, place both in the same directory and click (or double click) the exe.

It seems that you have only downloaded .exe file. You need to download two file .exe and .7z and put it in a same folder and then try to run .exe
