MPIEXEC in Bootcamp using WMPI Register

HI
Has anyone had experience of executing FEA simulations within the Bootcamp Environment across multiple cores?
Previously I have done this with some great success, even via Parallels 8 (thus allowing me to switch off Hyper Threading in OSX environment using Instruments).
Just recently, following some updates, this has stopped working for me and I have no clue as to why, its costing me dealry as I have MBP Retina 2.7Ghz thats now useless to me..
Any help, thoughts, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

PS - The software I am running is based on MSC Marc Mentat, its actually our own software colted ont this platform and our developers have tested everything with regards the WMPI register and it is "Running" so there is no "Reason" essentially for the calculation not to be divided between the 4 Cores of my machine..
I can run on 1 core no problem.
I have just re-updated all Apple Drivers in the Windows environment, and Apple Care cant help me further.... ;-(

It's up to you. I've never dealt with WinClone so I'm not sure how well it does or doesn't work. I do see it recommended on the boards often, though, and it's an application that works while you're in OS X. Worth looking at, at least!
When you repartition the drive, the Boot Camp Assistant may say it doesn't have enough space to create the partition, even though your hard drive certainly DOES have the space there. The issue is that the Assistant needs contiguous space (basically a large chunk all in one spot) and it can't find a spot big enough due to fragmentation on the drive. Applications like iDefrag could help, but, personally, I'd just reformat the drive and start over.

Launch Keychain Access and click on Login in the left hand pane and then on Passwords. Next do search for Apple in the search field at the top and click on Apple ID Authenicication in the list that comes up. That will give you the ID no. and password.

How do I use Cisco Registered Email Service with 10.7?

I received a email via someone using Cisco Registered Email/Envelope Service. The authentication process required the latest version of JAVA for 10.7, which I downloaded and installed. When I try to logon, the screen hangs with the message "Loading Envelope Tools." If I press "open" again it states "Inactive tools." The alternate method is to open the mail via a secure Web site, which I can open, but I am unable to download attachments. To download attachments, I am directed to a page that begins with "x-msg:" and I get a message that says: "Safari can't open the address .. . because MAC OX doesn't recognize Internet Addresses starting with "x-msg:"

Thanks for the info Roger, this is indeed did work for me (at least the part about signing in on apple.com, haven't tried the rest). Since Apple does not allow for the merging of Apple IDs, my plan is to use the old me.com address (from the free trial) with iCloud but then forward all the messages from the old me.com to my current Apple ID. Problem is all my devices are already associated with iCloud. So... if I want to activate iCloud using the old me.com, how do I do it?
I have two ideas: 1) as you suggest, signing out and signing back in through the iCloud preference pane (either on Mac OS or iOS); but I'm worried this will have consequence - will I be able to sign back in to my main Apple ID account after doing this?
2) create a new user on my Mac and then sign in to iCloud with the old me.com address there, then delete the account.

Search your email for the word Logic (and set the search to All) and you should find the receipt (so long as you didn't delete it)
Other than that.. simply contact Apple directly and ask.. Make sure you have your transaction details ready for them as they will need it...

How to use shift register in this structure?

Dear All,
In order to use less variety of graph, I want to use shift register to manage and send data to graph.
But there is not only event structure in my vi, for some reason(because I want to use only one button to control running and stop, and this must do through variety of button, I can't put this loop into the event structure) I must use other while loops, I don't know how to use shift register in this structure.
Please tell me anything helpful.

hi there
there are a lot of solutions. my favorite one is the usage of a so called "FGV" (functional global variable). this allows you to strore, manipulate and transport data through your app with a minimum of wires. see attachment.. (other users may have other favorite solutions...)

Excuse my english:
Our developper's have created the custom objects in a new oracle user.
The have given all grants ans synonyms to APPS (by the hand with manuel scripts).
They didn't use the 'Security\oracle\register' forms.
They have just declared the application in 'security\oracle\data group' using APPS as oracle id.
So they did not have to enter a password in AOL for the new custom oracle userneme.
QUESTION ?
Did we miss something ? What is wrong ?
Are we qoing to face some issue (with standard AOL admin scripts for exemple ?)
Does Always OA connect via APPS or did it sometimes need to connect
with the real oracle usernam of the custom application ?

I believe you're probably okay, as long as you are only adding objects, not modifying existing ones. We have custom database accounts registered through the aforementioned forms, but as a rule-of-thumb we always grant all on any custom objects to APPS with grant option. All custom packages we create are also created under the APPS schema. The underlying user that is running for our custom forms & reports is still APPS. We just put tables, indexes, and similar objects under the custom accounts primarily so that we can clearly tell what objects are custom and which are not.
Keep in mind that one risk you run with any customizations you make under APPS (or any other delivered database account) is that there is always a chance that Oracle could create an object with the exact same name in the future, potentially overwriting your customizations

If the company that has your domain does forwarding, you can have them forward your domain to your. Mac site. That's how I did http://www.makentosh.com.
Also, if you want to use the .Mac counters, you have to use normal forwarding and not stealth forwarding.

Do you have Acrobat 10 or an older version? If you have a copy of Acrobat 10 then you can complete the process detailed in Order an Adobe product platform swap or language swap to obtain a Mac OS version.
If you have an older version then you will want to purchase the upgrade to Acrobat 10. We no longer offer older versions of Acrobat.

Why did I only get a part of wave chart even if I have appended the wave together using shift register?

It seems only read 200 samples and then stop. Shouldn't I get a continuous wave chart after using shift register on a while loop?

You must remove Start VI out from the loop...
You cannot 'Start' a task which is already running...
You also remove the Start VI completely from your code... If you do not use Start VI, a measurement task starts automatically when the DAQmx Read VI runs.
Find the attached VI.

Referencing bits within a register, using another register

I'm getting an odd error that I don't know how to handle. I've extracted the relevant code below:

I thought this was allowed... what am I missing? Is there a better means of doing this? The only alternative I see is a large case statement. Functional, but far from elegant!

That's not correct, at least not for Verilog 2001. The problem with Verilog is that you can't use a variable for both ends of a range, i.e. on both sides of the colon in your code.
You have essentially:
[variable + constant : variable]
and this is not allowed since "variable" appears on both sides of the colon.
You can do the equivalent however using the Verilog 2001 range syntax:

Why does my Elements 12 ask me to enter Program Key after the product has been used and registered

I have had Elememts 12 for several months ... when I bought it ...I downloaded the program and registered it ... now ... every once in a while the program asks me to enter the Key number as if I never registered it ... also sometimes I get a message about my 30 day trial ...

I purchased Elements 12 not the Premier addition .... the disk Elements 12 comes with a trial version of Premier ... I did not install the 30 day trial version .... maybe t is Adobe trying to sell me the Premier addition ... I will pay more attention the next time the message comes up ... after reading some of the posts, I think that is what is happening ... I will have to wait ... someone wrote that they had the same problem and after a while, the message stopped appearing .... as I indicated .... I will look more carefully the next time I see the message...

I am trying to get through all your recent replies to go back to your post numbered 8.
1. Go to Control Panel/Programs and determine if you have Premiere Elements 12 and Photoshop Elements 12 installed.
2. When you have gotten the try out dialog, what program is mentioned in the dialogs - Premiere Elements 12 or Photoshop Elements 12?
3. The fundamental question is what did you purchase
a Photoshop Elements 12
b. Premiere Elements 12
c. Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12
From what you wrote it sounds like Photoshop Elements 12. Premiere Elements 12 seems to have come along as a tryout.
4. If Premiere Elements 12 is a tryout, after 30 days from first install of it, you should not be able to use it without a purchased serial number specific for Premiere Elements 12.
5. If you have no interest in Premiere Elements 12 tryout, uninstall it if it is installed. If it is not installed, then it is not the cause of your trial messages. But, I offer you this thought. Are these really License This Product/Continue Trial messages or are they really promotional dialogs (ads) put on your computer by Adobe who knows you have Photoshop Elements 12 and are trying to get you interested in Premiere Elements as well?
Please review and consider.

I can't get my MacBook Air 13in that I bought used, to register with Apple. How can I do it?

A guy was selling this Mac used so I got it. The only thing was after he had cleaned the hardrive he had put it in his name again, and sold it like that. I later figured this out and reset the hardrive and, what I thought, put it back to factory setting. The only problem is that i tried to get iLife from the app store and it said that these apps are associated with a different Apple ID and then it was trying to charge me $15 dollars for each. So i went to the Apple website to register this one with Apple. When I typed in the seriel number though, it said this product is associated with a different Apple ID. iTunes also, when I looked at my puchased movies through the cloud it asked if I wanted to tranfer these purchases and if so it would lock my account for 90 days. Can someone please help me fingure out what I have to do to fix this? I have been using this computer for some time now so it would be nice if I didn't have to set it back to factory setting, but if I must I don't mind doing it.

The person that sold you the MBA has to delete the serial number from his profile on the Apple web site before you will be able to register it. He also needs to delete it as one of the 5 computers on his iTunes account. Since you reloaded it the only way he can do that is to do a total delete of all computers on his account.
All progerams and apps that he purchased are not available to you.
You have to purchase your own copies.

Using a registered object outside a UnitOfWork

We are constructing a multi-tiered application using TopLink 4.6. The Model and Controller are in different JARs but are part of the same EAR. Data objects mapped in TopLink are sent by the Model to the Controller. The Controller may modify these objects locally, and send them back to the Model for persisting.
When the Controller makes a request for a data object to the Model, the Model does the following -
1. Gets the object from the TopLink cache through a query
2. Gets a UnitOfWork
3. Registers the object with the UnitOfWork to get the clone
4. Releases the UnitOfWork
5. Returns the clone to the Controller
I am registering the object with a UnitOfWork, even though I am not modifying it in that UnitOfWork.
I have to do this because the object model is very complicated. The Controller needs access to the root object, and also all of its nested parts. Using this technique, I retain the benefit of Indirection. The other option is to use a ObjectCopyingPolicy, but that is expensive as the Model is forced to do a cascadeAll copy. Also, I cannot send back the original object returned by the query because this object comes from the cache, and the Controller could end up modifying it, thus causing possible data inconsistency.
After the Controller sends back the modified object, the Model now does the following -
1. Check the incoming object and perform business validations
2. Get a UnitOfWork
3. Do a deepMergeClone on the UnitOfWork to save the object.
4. Commit or release the UnitOfWork
This seems to work without any problems. Will this have any other repercussions? The object is initially obtained through a different UnitOfWork, and is saved using a different UnitOfWork.
Is there a better way of handling this situation?

Hi,
The key here is that the object is cloned (copied) and the clone (copy) is returned to the client.
The client then makes the changes to the copy (the original is still in the session cache and has not changed)
When the object is register, TopLink does a look-up, using the copy Object, in the session to find the original object, it then makes a clone of the original object.
You now have three copies of the same object. The Original Object (no changes), the clone of the Original Object (no changes yet), and the copy Object (with client changes).
The next step merges the Original Object Clone (without changes) and the copy Object Clone (with changes).
Now your system has two copies, The Original Object (no changes) and the clone Object (with changes).
Now on commit, TopLink compares the Original with the Clone and updates the DB.
