MPLS mib variable (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.?????)

Hi All ,
I am running mpls on Cisco 12012/GRP router with IOS Version 12.0(21)ST3 .
I want to know the mpls mib variable ( like 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.????) to do snmpwalk to the router .
Cisco recommed to use 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.65 . but i am not getting any mpls orianted snmp data by using the above variable .
Please let me know the mib variables.

This is a long shot but make sure that you are using LDP and not TDP. 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.65 is a MPLS Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) MIB. You could also refer to the document 'MPLS LDP MIB' at the URL http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1839/products_feature_guide09186a00801149ff.html#75570.
Refer to the section 'Supported Mibs and RFC's' in the document 'Cisco 12000 Series Internet Router Basics' for a list of supported Mibs. The document is available at the URL http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps167/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080110956.html#xtocid6

  • LaserJet 9050n MiB Variable Issue

I'm trying to find out what the MiB variable is for the paper level, I did some searching on the internet, found the list of MiB's for LJ9050mfp, and also LJ9000 Series, also the HP Common Lib, but when use the variable listed in each of these against my printer, I get either a no instance, or it error's out since the variable doesn't exist. I don't need the exact amount of paper, I would just like to see if it's empty or not, or even a percentage would be great. Here is a list of the variables I have tried: consumable-status-capacity-units SCALAR read-only INTEGER 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.10.1.4.0 consumable-status-total-capacity SCALAR read-only INTEGER ( 0..65535 ) 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.10.1.5.0 prtinputcapacityunit SCALAR read-only INTEGER 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.8.2.1.8.0 prtinputmaxcapacity SCALAR read-only INTEGER 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.8.2.1.9.0 prtinputcurrentlevel SCALAR read-only INTEGER 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.8.2.1.10.0 Someone please help!!! I would like to get this completed!!!!

The HP-LASERJET-COMMON-MIB defines several tray-specific objects which appear to define the media level in the specified tray; for example:
    tray2-media-available OBJECT-TYPE
    SYNTAX INTEGER(-1..100)
    ACCESS read-only
    STATUS optional
    DESCRIPTION
"Returns a number that indicates how full the input tray
is. If the device can only detect empty / not empty the
device returns -1 for not empty and 0 for empty. If the
device can determine how full the tray is, the device
returns a percentage full from 0% to 100%
    Additional information:
LaserJet 4V can only detect empty/not empty tray.
It returns -1 for not empty and 0 for empty."

    hp OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { iso(1) org(3) dod(6) internet(1) private(4) enterprises(1) 11}
which would suggest that the OID for the tray_2 level is:
    1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.3.3.2.2
I've no idea whether or not this will provide you with what you need.

  • OLD-CISCO-CHASSIS-MIB variable cardOperStatus

    Hello,
On CATOS switches we use the CISCO-STACK-MIB variable moduleStatus as follows, this works fine :
    plato> snmpwalk -m CISCO-STACK-MIB -v 2c cat102 'mialaz&' moduleStatus
    enterprises.cisco.workgroup.ciscoStackMIB.moduleGrp.moduleTable.moduleEntry.moduleStatus.1

On an IOS(Cat4K) switch there is no CISCO-STACK-MIB support instead we use OLD-CISCO-CHASSIS-MIB with variable cardOperStatus , this does not work :
    % snmpwalk -m OLD-CISCO-CHASSIS-MIB -v 2c cat211 'mialaz&' cardOperStatus
    enterprises.cisco.temporary.chassis.cardTable.cardTableEntry.cardOperStatus
= No Such Instance currently exists
How can we read the module status on an IOS based switch?
    Thanks.

It turns out that I am not the person to help, but I always want to know more as I may have a similar problem later.  I know from personal experience that it is easy to use a term commonly in a company or industry but have no one out side of that industry understand.  I was asking if that was such a term (hopefully with a little humor).  I'm sorry if my joke fell flat.

  • LMS 4.2.3 variable name not show in drop-down list

    Hi all,
I am trying to use performance threshold to trigger a script whild device CPU or Memory high.
There is a default threshold template called "CPU Utilization" and "Memory Utilization".
After I choose either one, there should be one or two variable name in drop down list.
But I only see "Select MIB Variable" in the list.
I try to create a template with exact the same variable but still got nothing in the list.
The strange thing is that no all the default template has this problem.
I can see variable name under some template like "Device Availability" or "Port Availability"
And this is not browser problem because I try both IE and Firefox.
Any one how to solve this?

    Thanks for your advice.
Now all my devices are connected in Layer View [Devices View], but User Tracking still not shows me informations from several switches about hosts. Its works like randomizer. Now 5 devices form User Tracking  don't show me informations.[WS3550 2 devices and 2  WS-C2960S-48LPS-L]. In lists devices Acquisition Action i check acquisition for this 5 devices. After that acquisition complete, but User Tracking still empty ( all ports on this devices are active).
    SNMP, Credentials all is good.
I try resolve this problem many days, but without results. Its semmes like a bug.

  • Procedure of putting MIB in cisco switches !!!!!!!!

    Hi,
I want to generate below traps and for that i need to put a particular mib RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-MIB on the switch. Can anyone tell me the procedure of putting mib directly on cisco switch.
    RADIUS: Received from id 1645/167 10.1.10.6:1812, Access-Reject, len 44
    Regards,
    Ahsan Khan.

    Hi Ahsan,
make sure to correctly understand how SNMP works.
    - A SNMP-Agent (e.g. located on a Cisco switch) is able to send SNMP-Traps being configured.
(Available traps are hardcoded in the agent)
    - A MIB is simply a (virtual) description of available variables and traps
    - Each Agent has its own set of supported MIB-Variables ( use #show snmp mib for getting an
overview of supported Vars on that switch)
Please have a look at MIB Navigator on cisco.com (http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/MainServlet )
    - You primary 'install' MIBs on the SNMP-Manager getting access to the hardcoded SNMP-Variables
       and to display SNMP-Agent-Traps correctly
    Hope this helps

  • Monitoring Gateway via a MIB

I want to be able to query a mib variable that is associated with the duration of a call on a specific FXO interface. In looking through the MIB browser, there are ActiveCall tables, but they are tied to the call leg identifiers and are deleted when the call is done. I am looking for something along the line of a MIB timer that gets started when the line on the gateway goes off-hook and then zeroes when it goes on-hook. Then I can set up an alarm if the timer goes for more then n minutes to catch a port that has gotten hung.
    Thanks

    CISCO-POP-MGMT-MIB is needed.

  • Get the attribute_flags of the interface

    Hi all,
Does anybody know how to get the value of the attribute_flags of a physical interface over which a MPLS Tunnel could traverse if the affinity bits are conformed?
I mean, when we configure with the next CLI command
    Router(config-if)#mpls traffic-eng attribute-flags
the attribute-flags of an interface, that it will be later check to conform with the affinity configuration of the tunnel, How can I get the value of attribute-flags by querying a MIB? Which MIB?
    Thanks to all.
    Joan.

    Hi,
my best bet would be 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.99, which is about OSPF opaque LSAs, they contain the relevant information. There is no MIB variable especially for the affinity bits on an interface as far as I know.
    Hope this helps

  • LMS 4.2 | discovery based on specific IP Adress

    Hi Netpro
1)is there any methods to let LMS 4.2 discover Cisco devices based on specific ip like Loopback address ? coz in my Cisco devices i have more than ip address configured , please advice?
    thanks
    ibrahim

    1. Please refer to the context-sensitive help when you get to this step. It will give you a page with very detailed file formats and fields that are used (see screenshot below from my lab server). That page is also in Chapter 4 of the Inventory Management guide online.
    2. Device adjacencies are determined via a correlation of various MIB variables including CDP neighbor details and other details. I recommend you read through Joe Clarke's document on understanding LMS discovery.
One thing to note is that is is best to have the IP addresses of the devices in DNS. If that is difficult for whatever reason, the first create a local hosts file with the devices. You will get better results if the device IPs resolve to host names.

  • CSS11506 performance report ?

Is there any tools for "Cisco CSS 11506 Content Services Switch CSS11506" to provide performance report?

The enterprise level monitoring and management tool that Cisco makes for this class of device is Application Network Manager (ANM). See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6904/tsd_products_support_series_home.html for information.
ANM is probably much more than you need. If you are using the Health and Utilization Monitor (HUM) component of CiscoWorks, your could set it to poll your CSS for MIB variables that are relevant to performance. Alternatively you could use a tool like CACTI or Nagios (open source management products) to do the same.
You can alternatively look at near real time monitoring on a CSS using the Web UI. See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_tech_note09186a00801e05f5.shtml for setting up this functionality.
Finally, the CSS also has RMON capability. See the RMON and SNMP section of the CSS Administration Guides: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_installation_and_configuration_guides_list.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Exceeds data buffer size discarding this snmp request

    Morning
Cisco Prime LMS 4.2.3 is sending SNMP request too big for asa interface buffer.
LMS is running on Windows server
incoming SNMP request (528 bytes) from IP address x.x.x.x  Port  50592  Interface "inside" exceeds data buffer size, discarding this SNMP  request.
212005: incoming SNMP request (%d bytes) from %s exceeds data buffer size, discarding this SNMP request.
It is very much like this error
Error Message    %PIX-3-212005: incoming SNMP request (number bytes) on interface
interface_name exceeds data buffer size, discarding this SNMP request.
Explanation    This is an SNMP message. This message reports that the length of the incoming SNMP  request, destined for the firewall, exceeds the size of the internal data buffer (512 bytes) used for  storing the request during internal processing; therefore, the firewall is unable to process this request.  This does not affect the SNMP traffic passing through the firewall via any interface.
Recommended Action    Have the SNMP management station resend the request with a shorter length,  for example, instead of querying multiple MIB variables in one request, try querying only one MIB  variable in a request. This may involve modifying the configuration of the SNMP manager software.
how do I change the SNMP request size in LMS?
I can only find the following that might be an option
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/mihai/archive/2012/05/14/reducing-the-maximum-number-of-oids-queried-in-a-single-batch-in-om-2012.aspx
any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated
just using default settings with snmpv3

  • LMS 4.2 user tracking

    Hello,
I have a problem with LMS 4.2 user tracking.
When I generate a report on all my network all mac address are ok but there is no Hostname/Ip address in the result, except for 2 equipments.
the only difference between these 2 equipements and the rest of the network is that they are connected on a not routed vlan. All the other phones, computers are connected on a routed vlan.
I have a Nexus 5k as core and 2960 as access. Routing between vlans is done with the Nexus
My DNS server is ok and reachable
Here is a screenshot of the report attached.
    Thanks for your help

Yes, the Nexus 5000 series has a few issues with LMS (and other things). Among them is the non-support of User Tracking. I'm told it's a MIB variable issue but it's been the case for some time now and remains so with the current LMS release.
Here is the reference from the Supported Devices Table which states in part:
The following features are not supported:
User Tracking (Nexus 1K, 4K, 5K and 7K with FEX), VLAN Management, VRF Lite, LANE Management
Configuration Deploy Protocols: HTTPS, SCP, SSH, RCP
Configuration Fetch Protocols: HTTPS, SCP, SSH, RCP
Software Distribution by: Advanced flow, Image, Remote Staging
    Software Repository Synchronization
