MPR 4.6. Failure to testing WEB APPLICATION

I used the Microsoft Platform Ready Test Tool 4.6 for testing my web application.  Unfortunately,
the test result is fail.  The fail is with the question 8 ...
Were any binaries installed for this component?  The
result is : No binaries wew detected as installed.
I don´t understand this result because I dont have any installer. It´s a web application with IIS 8.5 and
Windows Server 2012 R2.
Any idea?
Thanks.

Hello,
For Web Applications this is common and require a Web application Waiver form to be submitted. Click on the download link at the top of the MPR page and you will see the Web Application Waiver form.
Hope this helps.  MPR Support

  • Testing web applications?

    Hi,
What do you recommend for testing web applications? The best I could find is Jakarta Cactus but it seems like a half-dead project (releases once every 2-3 years). Is there anything better out there?
    Thank you,

Turns out neither Selenium nor HtmlUnit will do what I want. Both focus exclusively on testing the client-side browser-oriented output of webapps, Selenium does indeed use the browser to generate tests, but they can be saved as JUnit and run either individually or using JMeter. I think of it as more of a test automation tool. Once I capture a test with Selenium I don't have to keep entering values in a browser. Nice for business acceptance test automation.
whereas I need to focus on testing the server-side XML-oriented output of my servlets. Sounds more like unit testing to me.
For example, I want to launch a new server instance, populate the database, issue a request and verify the resulting database contents and/or output to the client. Selenium and HtmlUnit simply don't handle that sort of thing.I think you're better off with more unit testing in that case. You shouldn't have to launch a server to test. That's what POJOs are for. Seeding a database with test data, and rolling it back when you're done, is something that you can do with DbUnit or Spring's tests that are transactional.
Maybe your test strategy needs some refinement. Or I don't understand it. But I'd want a test strategy that didn't depend on servlets or app servers. Those should just be deployment issues, not part of determining correct behavior.

  • Testing web application developed by Creator 2

    Hi,
Has anybody done any kind of testing of your web application which is developed by Creator 2?
I tried httpunit with not much success. Whenever I tried to get a WebResponse, I kept getting error msg about "scrollTo is not defined2", which is due to the fact that httpunit does not support scrollTo yet.
I am wondering whether anybody can give me some suggestion what I should do to test my web application? I checked fitnesse's website and have a feeling that it will be less powerful and flexible than httpunit.
    Thanks.

  • Problems in testing a web application

    Hi All,
I am quite new to weblogic server and want to test the web application in exploded directory structure. I am able to deploy the application in war format. I have created the mydomain directory in domains directory. I am using weblogic 9.1 server.
Where I should put the application files?
Any changes needs to be done in web.xml file or not?
What should be the URL for accessing the application?
    Thanks in advance.

    I'm having these two messages:
Unable to access the selected application.
javax.enterprise.deploy.spi.exceptions.InvalidModuleException: [J2EE Deployment SPI:260105]Failed to create DDBeanRoot for application, 'C:\bea\user_projects\domains\Seavus_domain\applications\myapp'.

  • Alert: WebServices connectivity (Internal) transaction failure - The credentials can't be used to test Web Services.

    Hi.
Could you please help me to resolve this issue.
I have SCOM 2012 installed to monitor environment with Exchnage 2010 SP3. There are 2 sites with Exchnage servers within the organization. There are 2 mailboxes being created to test both sites.
    I am getting following alert:
Alert: WebServices connectivity (Internal) transaction failure - The credentials can't be used to test Web Services.
description: The test mailbox was not initialized. Run new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 to ensure that the test mailbox is created.
    Detailed information:
[Microsoft.Exchange.Monitoring.CasHealthUserNotFoundException]: The user wasn't found in Active Directory. UserPrincipalName: extest*****@****.local. Additional error information: [System.Security.SecurityException]:
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
    Diagnostic command: "Test-WebServicesConnectivity -MonitoringContext:$true -TrustAnySSLCertificate:$true -LightMode:$true"
    EventSourceName: MSExchange Monitoring WebServicesConnectivity Internal
I have tried the next steps:
    1. Verified that mailbox is exist and it's not locked (same for the second mailbox)
    2. Deleted those mailboxes and created  a new  using new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1  verified that this mailbox is visible on all DC's accross the forest (both mailboxes)
    and that temporary password was accepted;
    3. Cleared the cache on the SCOM 2012;
    4. Still getting the same alert
I will really appriciate any help.
    Thanks.

  • Need information on open source testing tools for ADF web applications

    Hi experts,
I need to investigate on new feasible open source Java testing tools for testing ADF web applications. I have tried to google a lot but getting confused.
    My requirements as as under:
    1. The tool must be open source.
    2. It should be easy to understand and to work upon by the tester and developers.
Selenium based testing approach is already in place for testing the application but need to search for tools other than Selenium which shall prove suitable for testing ADF applications. Kindly let me know your inputs / suggestions.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi,
Have a look at JMeter http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/index.html
    1. The tool must be open source. It is.
    2. It should be easy to understand and to work upon by the tester and developers.I guess it is.
There are some specifics in configuring it for ADF, but Chris Muir wrote a nice blog about how it's done, check it out http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com/2010/04/configuring-apache-jmeter-specifically.html

    Hi ,
You can create a single dynamic distribution group with the condition to have only the mailboxes in exchange as its members . Then when a person send an email to that  Dynamic distribution group it will get distributed to all the mailboxes
    in exchange.
Note : Most important feature in the dynamic group is that the membership of that group will be maintained automatically and also along with that we can have group membership by defining the recipient types/OU /rules.
I agree with ED and also based on my knowledge you cannot achieve your scenario without Distribution groups or dynamic distribution groups.

  • Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications for Oracle Apps

I am trying to test Oracle Application 11i and R12 using Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications.
    In 11i:
If i open any forms then then the Application is getting crashed whereas it's recording the html events.
    In R12:
If i open any forms then the Form is getting opened but it's not recording the events happening on the forms
whereas it's recording the html events.
Please let me know whether Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications supports can be used to test Oracle Apps 11i/R12 including the Forms.
    Regards,
    Arun

    Hi,
AFAIK, there is no official document which states that "Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications" is certified with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i/R12. I assume it should work with Forms 10g but not with Forms 6i, so it should work (does not mean it is certified) with R12.
I would suggest you log a SR and confirm this with Oracle Support.

I'm currently attempting to deploy a web application under weblogic 6.1.

  • How can i test my web applications SWF in the standalone player?

I have been using flash builder for a bit, and i love it!, but i don't want to test webb applications in my browser, i want to be able to launch them in the standalone player or debugger. After numberous google searches, it seems my flash builder IDE has something wrong with it, ( Even after re-installing it ) because when i try to make a new launch configuration, it doesn't have a field to accept a run or debug path. only a path for the html file used in the browser. This conflicts with all of the adobe help posts . I'm stuck here. can anyone help? thanks.

    I would avoid using <center> tags, they're deprecated (http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_center.asp)
instead I would do something like
    <div style="margin: 0px auto 0px auto; width: 800px;"></div>
put your content inside that div and it should be centered. Set the width to whatever you want.

    Hi Stephan,
unless we don't ask for it, please do not post this much content. This might be suitable for support messages, but not for this forum. There might be situations where you get asked for more information, but a post like this one just scares of anyone who might know an answer.
Also, your thread title does not give any information on your problem, as a "dump when testing web pages" can be anything.
I would suggest to re-state your question, just giving the information that others need.
I haven't worked with CRM, but I wonder if this is a custom application or a shipped one.

  • Session time out in a web application

    Hi,
I am making a struts based web application. For session time out validation I have made an entry in the web.xml file as <session-config>
              <session-timeout>1</session-timeout>
         </session-config>
In case the user's session time out occurs then he should be directed back to the log in page.
Can any one tell me how to proceed in this case and what are the best practices.
    thanks

    Hi
I've tested it with OC4J and it works both ways.
I do think that you must have the
<session-config> tag present though for the setMax... method to
work, observe that this method is for seconds and not millisecond
    regards
    //Mike
    Hi all,
I try to manage by my application the http session time-out.
Change it in a web.xml works fine , but if in my servlet i try
to change it using setMaxInactiveInterval(MILLISECOND) the result
is that the session became invalidate after few seconds instead
    50 minutes ad example ....
    Answer ????
    thks
