Mr Redwood

Good morning, I am having a problem with restoring my Iphone 4s, I just get it unlock by fido and would like to restore it to factory setting but each time I am getting an error message saying the server cannot be found, how can I complete this restore?

Try to connect it to iTunes on your computer, then try resetting it again. If it still wont reset, try using your computer to reset it.

  • Redwood User Account error on Job

    Hi All,
We currently had all our BWP jobs fail with the following error:
JCS-00503: OS account SYSJCS does not exist or is disabled on BRSAPPRDBWPV2
JCS-00315: job must run under OS equivalent of Oracle account SYSJCS
We run our oracle database on a Windows 2003 environment and also our Redwood/SAP servers are on a Windows 2003 server.
The job itself users "USER" account.
The only way we could get the jobs to start was by restarting the BWP Redwood services, and this worked fine.
Also want to state the we had the following issue at the sametime which was flagged up to us in "messages":
    resubmit.update_job:
ORA-04061: existing state of package body "SYSJCS.CHAIN" has been invalidated
ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package body "SYSJCS.CHAIN"
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "SYSJCS.CHAIN"
All our BWP process chains are executed via the RUN BW CHAIN script, which is copied and renamed for the process chain.
We have tried to replicate the error in our dev environment but it worked fine. RFC points nothing at all.. Any help would be much appreciated. OSS note has been raised...
    Thank You
    Jazz

    Hi Jazz,
The SYSJCS.CHAIN package is not used for BI Process Chains, only for CPS Chains. So the invalidation must have come from another source.
When this error occurs, as long as there are sessions started before the package has been re-validated (state reinitialized), you can continue to run into this error until all sessions have been restarted. The extend of the error depends on the package being reinitialized (how often it is used and the dependencies it has) and the session that needs to call it.
I think the error may already have been there before you did the chain import and just happened to surface shortly after the import.
    Regarding your other questions:
    1. RSI_IMPORT_BW_CHAINS or RSI_IMPORT_BW_CHAIN_DEFINITIONS:
the second one is only needed if you want to display the process chain definitions in the web interface before the chain is even running in CPS (in the job monitor you only see the processes that have started); if you do not use that, RSI_IMPORT_BW_CHAINS is enough
    2. How would you go about maintaining BW process chains in Redwood (CPS)?
This is a question that every customer runs into at some point. First, you currently can not change a process chain definition in the BI system from CPS. Then there are cases where you probably want to leave the process chain structure intact (typically on the deepest level: drop index, do some work, recreate indexes). And there are other cases where it can be useful to bring some logic to CPS (typically on all levels where you have process chain within process chain in BI, ie. on all but the deepest levels).
For this last case, which is of course the most interesting for CPS, it can be very valuable to recreate the BI "meta-chain" structure in a CPS job chain.
So here you replace the BI "meta-chain" calling several BI process chains by a Cronacle job chain still calling some of the BI process chains (the ones on the deepest levels).
Now you can add all the CPS extras for error handling, retries, cross system dependencies, (external) events, alerting, etc. etc. on each and every point in the CPS job chain, so you get a lot more information, intervention and recovery points on your BI process than you would when running the entire thing in one big BI Process Chain (triggered from CPS or not does not matter).
Typically the customer's decision here mainly depends on the advantages that can be achieved, especially if there are service levels to be met on the reports that need to be delivered from BI and these deadlines tend to get tighter by the month.
By reducing the total runtime of the process or reducing the number of errors that occur or if they occur, the amount of work to fix it, you can save a lot of time, and thus money.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Anton.

    Hi All,
First thanks all for your help and sorry for the delay.
    Here are some precisions:
         - RFC Agent is correctly connected to SAP BW systems.
         - Basic ABAP programs (such as RSUSR000) are successfully executed in BW Systems
         - The SAP BI version is 7.0
         - XBP 2 is used
I was told to do some user configuration in SAP in order to make the process chain run via SCPS: there is a part in the help of redwood explorer saying some specific instructions must be applied in SAP BI:
    The quote :
"To check or set the SAP BW user for background processes:
Go to Administration > Settings > Customizing (transaction SPRO).
Click on SAP Reference Img (German: BIW).
Expand the tree to find BW Customizing Implementation Guide > Business Information Warehouse > Automated Processes > Create User for Background Processes. (German: BIW > Automatisierte Prozesse > Benutzer fuer Hintergrund anlegen.)
Click on the hourglass (Maintain Activity) for that row.
Fill in the new username, for instance: BWALEREMOTE."
Issue is now that these exact mentionned items and menu do not exist (?) or at least were not found in our SAP BW systems by our SAP Administrator. The help file do not mentioned the version of SAP BI. Is there a compatibility issue ? I mean we have for instance a defined user ALEREMOTE but do not know if it has the same authorizations than the mentioned BWALEREMOTE.
Have someone an idea of the problem encountered ?

  • How can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

We need the Request Restart ability when scheduling a single reoccurring job in Redwood. Most of our jobs are scheduled in CHAINs which offers the Final Status Handler on Step level, and the schedule is "paused" when a job in the CHAIN has failed ( the next instance does not populate until the OP MSG has been Replied to) , and once the OPERATOR message is replied to, the CHAIN can resume running again ( desired ) . But we need this same ability when scheduling a single job not in a CHAIN. In our testing, we set up a job with Request Restart chosen on the Error , Killed and Unknown selections on the Restart Behavior Tab. But we found when a job is scheduled say once a day at 8AM, and when it fails, an OPERATOR msg appears allowing a Restart choice ( desired), but the next day's schedule also populates ( undesired) and we do NOT want the schedule to continue on yet because we need a chance to fix the error before the next insance runs for business reasons. So how can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

    Hello Fran,
You can wrap the job chain in a master job chain in the first step and set the final status handler there.
You can also set the Restart Behavior to 'Stop Submit Frame', in that case you will have to resubmit the job once you are finished troubleshooting.

  • Scheduling a BI job chain in Redwood

The problem I am having is we are trying to schedule a BI job chain via Redwood software and are not getting any response. Within Redwood, I have executed these jobs IMPORT_BW_CHAINS, IMPORT_BW_CHAIN_DEFINITION, IMPORT_BW_INFOPACKAGES using BI job chain  0fcsm_cm_10 which is defined in BI as a job chain. These jobs run to completion but nothing is moved into Redwood to schedule as you would see from a import of a CCMS job. When I run job RUN_BW_CHAIN using the same BI job chain ID I receive the below error.  Not sure what I’m missing or doing with the process to get to schedule the BI job chains with Redwood.

  • Redwood Connectivity to SAP R/3

    Hi All,
We are trying to connect Redwood (external background job processor also called as Cronacle or SAP process scheduling by Redwood 6.0.2 SP6) to one of R/3 system. For the same, we are required to maintain R/3 instance and client in redwood using scripts RSI_MAINTAIN_INSTANCES and RSI_MAINTAIN_CLIENTS.
But we are not much sure on what should be passed in 'SAP connection string' while maintaining instance and how we will get to know if Redwood has got connected to that particular client of that instance. Any pointers in this regard are welcome.
For this we have even created one communication user in R/3 as REDWOOD and passing the ID and password while maintaining the client for that instance in Redwood.
We observed that script RSI_RFC_AGENT is getting executed with error. We want to know the purpose of this script and if it is the required one to get Redwood connected to R/3.
Please let us know if this is sufficient for connecting redwood to R/3 or some settings are required to be done on server side.
    Thanks a lot in advance

  • Queries related to Redwood Installation / Upgrade to Full version

    Hi All,
    We Need some help.
We have couple of question related to redwood installation, kindly help us.
We have SAP Central Process for Scheduling (Redwood 6.0.2.7) basic version installed on our Unix server.
We are now planning to migrate to the SAP CPS full version and have already procured the license. SAP added the installables at the marketplace under - Installation and upgrades - My Application components - SAP Partner products - SAP CPS Scheduler (Full) after the procurement. We have downloaded the installables now.
    My questions are:
    1. How do we now upgrade the Redwood OEM version to full version? Because, we had mailed to SAP with the OEM license to change it to full version, but then SAP replied to us asking us to send them the full version license. How do I get that? Does this file (register.txt) gets created once we start the installation of Redwood full version? Because we had assumed that by buying the full version license, we would just need to send the OEM license and it would be changed to a full version, but its not so. How do we go about from here. Do we do a new installation and uninstall the basic version?
    2. Also, if we are to do a new installation, how do we get the register.txt file which we need to send to SAP for key generation?
We are very new to Redwood. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
    Awaiting your response.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error in redwood job chain for Infopackage

    Hi,
We have recently installed redwood for handling sap jobs and are able to run all the job chains with job step in abap program successfully.
However, for APO and BW job chains we have intermediate step for executing BW infopackage where the job is getting failed with the below error:
SAP/BW Error Message: rfc call failed 089: Job BI_BTC<infopackage_name>has not (yet ?) been started
The preceding abap job steps are getting executed successfully. After the infopackage step is failed the consecutive steps all fails.
This problem is common to all job chains with infopackage.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sandeep.

    Hello Anton,
We are facing the same problem: Same log error message.
The infopackage is correctly started and ended in BW.
    Here our versions:
    Redwood Explorer 7.0.4.2 SP2
    BW :   SAP_BASIS 70016
               SAP_BW 70018
Do you think applying SAP CPS SP3 would solve the problem?
Or can we solve it by modifying some specific parameters?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Raise an Event in Redwood after a Commit to an External Oracle DB?

Hello Netweaver Community / Redwood specific,
I am at customer site and have been presented with the following scenario and subsequent question...
The scenario is that there is a 3rd party product (powerBuilder program / windows executable) that is updating an Oracle database on a server outside of the SAP landscape.  This PB program is writing records to the oracle db that need to be picked up by XI process.  The idea is that after the PB program makes its COMMIT of the records, then the XI process needs to be triggered to start so it can pick up the records.
So the question is...  How can an event be raised in Redwood after a COMMIT of records has been made to this oracle DB that is on a server outside of the SAP landscape?
I am familiar with (and we are already doing) the raising of an event in Redwood from an ABAP program with function module that raises external events.
This is what I know - please do not hesitate to ask for further clarification.
    Thank you,
    Dean Atteberry.

    Carol,
Sorry for the delay! I am not that frequent to SAP forums. You can write to me on my mail if you have something important. We can always update forum note for everyone.
I do not know XI that well. But If I understand correctly, you can trigger events in it based on arrival of a file. You can create a dummy job in Redwood on Unix or any filesystem you use to create a zero byte file once Powerbuilder job is ready.
Let me know if this helps!

  • Import job RSI_IMPORT_CCMS_JOBS is not working in Redwood Cronacle

    Hi,
We are facing problems in the redwood cronacle, where in the standard import job RSI_IMPORT_CCMS_JOBS is not working. When ever we are running the script, the status of the import job goes to waiting and never gets completed. When its killed and re-run it again moves to waiting status.
Cronacle version : 7.0.4.2. Hope some one will help me out to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Arun Raghavan

    Hi,
as mentioned by Anton in his previous post, the import of abaps and variants is a kind of nice to have that CPS does for you.  The import of abap and variant data enables CPS to create a Script with the defaults all set and ready for you to submit.  Having this data in CPS also means that when you submit your CPS SAP Script the parameter values for instance, client, abap, variant will only be a valid combination.  If you remove the Script Parameter constraints for your CPS Script then you can submit your own Script (using a copy of RSI_ABAP_RUN or RSI_ABAP_RUN_PRINT but with the param constraints removed) with whatever values you like.  If you enter a valid combination the SAP job will run.  If invalid you'll get an error when trying to submit in SAP.  Obviously the parameter constraints ideally are there to prevent this second scenario.
In terms of why the import of variants seems to hang; you haven't got variants begining with '&' have you?  CPS doesn't like these 'dynamic' variants.  I have had problems in the past where this is the case.

    Simon

  • EM Application Log and Web Access Log growing too large on Redwood Server

    Hi,
We have a storage space issue on our Redwood SAP CPS Orcale servers and have found that the two log files above are the main culprits for this. These files are continually updated and I need to know what these are and if they can be purged or reduced down in size.
They have been in existence since the system has been installed and I have tried to access them but they are too large. I have also tried taking the cluster group offline to see if the file stops being updated but the file continues to be updated.
Please could anyone shed any light on this and what can be done to resolve it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Oracle configuration in Redwood environment

    Hi,
We have Redwood 6.02 on Oracle database. We have configured Oracle server as SHARED/MTS server .
We are planning to configure it as dedicated server. Please advise whether it is advisable to do it or Redwood recommends a SHRAED/MTS server configuration??. Thanks.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The connections for the Process Server should be dedicated (should be enforced in tnsnames.ora), so there should be no problem moving all connections to dedicated.

  • How to push a chain in CPS Redwood

1)During peak loads - the load step gets successful however the chain does not move further
this can be handled by pushing the chain from that particular step onwards in Bw side using function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH. Need to know how can this scenario be handled in CPS REDWOOD.
2)Some times due to data issues in BW side we ignore the records which has issues and push the PC forward. In Redwood side we need to know how to push the load further.
We tried to restart using operator message from the step we want the load to start from but CPS did not respond.

You are trying to convert a string that looks like a formula (contained in cell B2) and have the result of the formula  be calculated in cell B3, right?
    Two ideas:
Idea 1: If you format B2 as text then enter the text =5*2*3 then change the cell format to Automatic, it will do the calculation in cell B2. You can convert it back to text to see the formula again.
Idea 2: Use an Applescript. The Applescript would copy the string from B2, put the "=" at the beginning and put it into B3. B3 will calculate the result. You can design the script to do this for multiple sets of cells. An example is below for you to try out. If you like it we can make it so it can be started with a keyboard command. Not quite sure how we'll stop it with a keyboard command, though
    Open the Applescript Editor application
Copy the entire script from below
    Paste it into Applescript Editor
    Open a new Numbers document
Put a formula into cell B2
    Run the script
When you are done testing it out, stop the script. Otherwise it will run forever.
tell application "Numbers" to tell document 1 to tell sheet 1 to tell table 1
              set vold to ""
              repeat
set vnew to ("=" & value of cell "B2")
                        if vold ≠ vnew then
