MR21 price change not possible

Dear pal,
I have a material code X with valuation type RM_IND
In material master accounting view1- Price determination is 3 with price control S.There is some stock of material with some value.
I am trying to change the price in MR21.
System prevents me from proceeding price change for X RM_IND not possible.
There are pending PRs and POs.
How to go about ?

Standard price u hv selected for ur material. This can be changed in MM02 iteself.

I am getting ERROR: "document being distributed no changes not possible" & WARNING:"BTadminH could not be locked" in CRM WEBUI while trying to edit the order.
I checked all the BDOCs and smq1, smq2 ,smw01 here are no queues stuck here.
I also run distribution check FM, whenever i run it will be unlocked and able to edit. but this is not the solution for me because this error and warning getting to every new order (transaction) .

Check the initial status settings, there should not be any distribution lock maintained.

Changing not possible; field is read-only

Hello,
I need update Expected Value in Opportunity.
Expected Value is bound Opportunity.SalesForecast.ExpectedRevenueAmount.content.
When I try to update in adsl, "Changing not possible; field is read-only" error appears in frontend to the user.

Seems Opportunity has a lot of problems. As in my case i am trying to code in BeforeSave method that when ever the opportunity gets create by code i have to poppulate my CUSTOM Invonved Party ( i have created custom party role ).
And i have passed partykey.partyId.content and RoleCode but when i click on save it gives me the error about Role Category!
now when debugged that all Parties ( i debugged and checked whole collection) had the Role category every party from that collection had the Role category associated!
So i tried to add r
ole category by code! but that is also public write access set as FALSE!
So finally i again opened the book for clod , and a line is specificaly written that PartyID node will not be used after 1402 there will be separate node PartyNAme where u can pass partyid , name or email!
but unfortunately that is also not available in the opportunity BO!
So i am also kind of stuck!
Btw one thing i would like to mention is when u try to maintain your custom role in opportunity manually it works and data gets saved!

MR21 price change for S price material

Hi all,
We are facing an unique problem.
Earlier on 05May, price was updated for a S price material from A to B thru MR21 having posting date 01May. Price change document and its accounting document has got generated successful. On checking the price on 25May, price is A i.e. Old price. I listed the price change documents for the material, I was not able to find the any document after the above said date. So far the movements has happened in old price.
Further I checked in MBEW, price is A i.e.Old price. In table MBEWH for the april period, price is B.
New price has got updated nowhere apart from MBEWH and price change document.
Anyone can advice, how this has happened. What is the reason

you are working with a fiscal year variant, as your fiiscal year does not match with the calendar year.
In general the month of the posting date is equal with the period, however, using a fiscal year variant the posting date is checked against a customizing table to determine to which period the posting has to be made.
Those variants are defined in OB29
and they are assigned to company code in OB37.
so check OB37 first to find which variant is assigned to your company, then use OB29 to see the definition of the variant.
Maybe the first day of the new month is defined to fall into the old period.

MR21 price change

MR21 in close or open period - Is it necessary that price change should be done in current period only which should remain as it is for coming months too..??

If you do not maintain a planned price or future price , in the accounting view , the price updated in MR21 will remain same for the next period too.If you maintain a planned price , you need to run a costing run for the same.

Hi,
When you open the closed period and you do MR21. You will make new journal posting that it has been generated from price change document onto previous period, which you've closed earlier.
For an example the journal will be posted as shown below usually:
#DR/CR Inventory Account
###CR/DR Gain/Loss Adjustment Account
This condition is not recommended according the General Accounting practices.. So you should consult to your finance user or client.

Price Change not updating

I changed my prices in Adobe Forms Central, but the price changes are not reflected in the test page or on my website. What should I do to fix this?

go to Item detail scree in the PO
here you will see the Color squar at the corner of service tab
here click on that Icon
it will open the tablesetting pop up
here click on administrator adn uncheck the ESLL-PRS_CHG field
Than click on activate and save
now you will see this field.

MR21 price changes for split valuation materials

I have changed the material price for the material whcih are maintained with split valuation ie. in MR21 i could able to change the price for valuation types only.. i'm not able to change the main material price , its asking to enter the val type?? how to change the the price ?
Ex . Mat code : MAT 123, having val types as IN and OV, which has price control of S, here i have changed the price for the val types IN & OV, but i'm not able to change the price for the main material MAT123, which has price control V?? how to change it

We have a similar case, need your help;
Case: Split valuation is activated but parent has price control "V" and child i.e. diff valuation types have "S". We want to make std prices of all valuation types "0". It is done but the parent still shows value in MAP.
a. How do we make MAP of parent as "0" (price control "V")
b. Will it impact and how e.g. MB5L
c. Is it ok if we ignore the valuation of parent
d. All valuation types under parent are made "0"

MR21 price change for actual cost of inventory

Material ledger is not active. We have four FERT materials and four production orders in April 2011. Material inventory is on standard price. We want closing inventory at actual value. I have tried to change the price via MR21 but system is not allowing me to change price because cost estimate is exist.
Actual production order cost divided by actual production = actual cost per unit.
I want to use this price in MR21 to re-valuate the inventory in current month.

Here is a workaround which I used many times
a. Create a New Costing variant, with Costing Type = Release to Prices other than Std Cost
b. The Valuation Variant settings must be as below
For Materials - Strategy J (Price as per Price Control as of Last Period)
For Activity prices - Actual Price of Previous Period
c. At month end, once you calculate Actual Activity price, you can create a Costing Run in Ck40N
The Costing date can be 01.Apr.2011, if you are running the Cost Estimate for March 2011
d. The price calculated to be stored in Plan price 2 field of the Material Master or Tax price field
You can get a comparison of original Std cost and the revised std cost.... If need be, you can pass a JV in FI for the Stock (x) Revised price - Original Std price
5. If need be, you can also revaluate the COGS in COPA using this std cost estimate

DSL contract changes not possible since FIOS is available?

I've been a Verizon DSL customer for 4-5 years. Only the 1.5Mbps is available to us. FIOS became available shortly after I signed for DSL. For the past year (or 2?), I've been considering moving out of state, as a result, I've been on the monthly plan (~$39/month). Yesterday I called Verizon because I wanted to see what the current DSL prices were (768Kbps service and the yearly price for the 1.5Mbps service) and if maybe the 3Mbps service had become available. To my surprise, I was told that I could not make any change to my DSL service since FIOS was available..... Now, I would love to need FIOS, but I can not justify the price for that cool toy when I don't even benefit from/use in full the 1.5Mbps DSL service....
Is this everybody's experience? Is that a new move for Verizon to try to pay for the fiber optic infrastructure they laid down? I mean, this is not something I asked them to do.... I'd rather have them go with faster DSL speed instead of fiber (that's what they have in other countries, ADSL 20 or 30Mbps) rather than not provide me a choice.... I've been a loyal customer and feel cheated. As much as I hate it, I'll have to look at what the cable company now offers since every dollar spent counts.
I'm probably a bad customer for all players involved (cheapest phone service, cheapest TV service, not cheapest DSL service).

When I moved in Auguest I had no problem getting the current DSL at my new place. I flat out told them if they said I had to have FIOS I would go to Comcast. Maybe you got someone new or something. I would try again. If you don't get the answer you want talk to a supervisor and if you still don't get the answer you want they have a line for people who have been unable to resolve issues through those normal channels. It is in the phone book. I have used it before. Good luck. I hope you are able to work it out.

Sale order plant change not possible

dear sir,
we have set valuation level is a plant in OX14. we have two production plants 1010 and 1020
we are using variant configuraion also.
we are unable to change the plant from one plant (1010) to (1020) other in sale order VA02 if we have
1) ProForma-Order
2) Order BOM
3) Cost run
Retaining above things how can we change the plant in sale order
please give some details to solve this problem

Guess the changes are not saved. Could you see the changes recorded in the sales order - change log (Menu-Environment-Changes).
Please check again which plant is there in that particular sales order item.

Material description change not possible after MM12 &MM13

After unicode & patch upgrade , i am not able to change material description in BAsic DATA1 of material master .This changes are done by running MM12 & MM13 tCode. Can anubody help me why i am not able to change material description of material after running MM12 & MM13

MM12 & MM13 are scheduled changes it will not change immediately , Pl.s scheduled the materials with proper chnages then check the changes after schedule date .
Could you explan me why you are using these codes for Description changes ? is there any specific requirement

ChaRM: Normal Change - Not possible to set "Successfully Tested" unless the Maint. Cycle is set to "In Development with Release"

I'm doing some tests with ChaRM, Normal Change scenario.
As far as I know, the following steps would be the correct sequence (concerning development and test phases only):
1) Developers perform the correction in DEV and release their TASKS of the transport request
2) Developer Lead set the Normal Change document status to "to be tested"
3) In background, a Transport of Copies is created with all data previously stored in the original transport request. Then this ToC is transported into QAS
4) Change Manager set the Maintenance Cycle status to "Test"
5) Tester performs the test into QAS
6) Tester provides a valuable feedback and set Normal Change document status to "tested successfully"
According to the following SAP Portal article, it seems to be correct:

During my tests, however, I have noticed that it is just possible to go from step 5 to 6 if the Maintenance Cycle status is set to "In Development with Release" (go a step back in the Cycle). Otherwise, I get the following error messages:
Warning Message Details Status was reset by system
Warning Message Details Action RELEASE_ALL cannot be performed during this maintenance phase
Warning Message Next status cannot be set because some actions cannot be executed.
Once I have done the Cycle status change, then it is possible to move from 5 to 6 without errors and then the original transport request is transported into QAS too.
Question: Is this the correct behavior or am I missing customizing?

Thanks for your reply.
It is kinda weird the steps sequence, since the Tester needs to tell the Change Manager to move the cycle's status before approving the correction done in QAS (successfully tested).
Perhaps a new action between "to be tested" and "successfully tested" could exist, in order to request the CM to perform the cycle update.
But OK, that's how it is.

Open Items exist.. Not possible to change parameters ??

I made some X account balance to zero. And now when I was trying to change the account as open item (prior not in open item mgmt), system says that 'Account balance is 0, but still open items exist. Change not possible'. What does that mean ?

Hi,
Once transaction data is posted, GL Account cannot be made into an open item managed account. However, you can consider the following options:
1. GL Account Balance is ZERO: If the GL Account balance is ZERO, the GL Master record can be changed to Open Item managed Account or vice versa. But this will not change the transaction data already posted. Only future transaction data will be open item managed.
2. Until SAP version 4.0B SAP has provided a program to convert a GL Account to open item managed account after transaction data is posted (or vice versa). You can execute this program by blocking the GL Account and this will make the required changes in tables and also change GL Master record.
But this program is not available for execution in higher versions. Hence, you can copy the program into a Z Program and execute it. The name of the standard program is RFSEPA02.
