MRBR - fails to check manual block reason code on a mass release.
Transcaiton MRBR - I need to mass release of invoices but not allow it to release if a manual block.reason is set to a Q.
The manual block reasons with a Q can only be release by a specific group of users.
This works when releasing individual invoices, but if you release a mass amount, it does not check the manaul block reason value.
tested it. you are correct in this. still allowed in NW640/19. found no note in service.sap.com/notes either - you might want to open a call then, M_RECH_SPG does not work when all items are marked.

Hi All,
When we run the MRBR ( Release Block Invoice ) and select release manual, we found some items do not have quantity differece or price differenc. However, we found some maual block reason. When I look the manual block reason items in MM and FI documents, all are free for payment. in FI and MM side.
When I run release automatically in MRBR, system do not pick up manual block reason items to release.
Anyone know why MRBR indicate manual block reason ? How can we release the manual block items automatically ?
Thank You
Alex LeeHi
Automatic release for manual blocking is not possible in standard SAP. You need to release it manually in MRBR transaction by choosing option Release manually. Only invoices blocked due to variances can be released automatically

Storing the Variance Block Reason Code in the Parked Invoice Document
Folks,
When I perform parking an incoming invoice (MIR7 or MIRO), system checks for price variance and issues the message. When I save the document, block reasons are not stored at Parked document level. Only when I post the document, the reason code 'R' is stored in the document.
Is there a way to get the Block reason in the parked document?
Thanks in advance. MuraliI am still researching this issue. Let me know if there are any options or ideas.
Thanks. -
how does the delivery block on a sales order know what reason to place on the SO if the order has been blocked for delivery.
I have a so that is OR and I have assigned a simple credit control of C to it so that it blocks on delivery if the customer credit has been reached,
when you dis[play the SO after saving, the delivery block will have a description but how do I control what goes into that field and what goes into it first or 2nd etc and where in config is that set.
any help would be great
Edited by: ady0wen on Oct 4, 2011 10:29 AMDear ady0wen,
The deliver blocks will be defined in the transaction code-OVZ7.
Here we define the delivery blocks with meaning full descriptions including which functions have to be blocked.
For instance Order,Picking,Goods issue,Confirmation so on and so forth...........
Tease delivery blocks will be assigned to sales document header ( vov8) By configuration or Sales orders in (VA01) by users manually.
With help of descriptions only users can easily understand the delivery block according to its function.
please revert if you want any clarifications

Over/Under Payment from Customer - Reason Code
We are trying to perform an incoming under payment from a Customer. We do not want to do a partial / residual payment. We would to like to send the difference amount to a particular GL account XXXXXX (bad debt). There might be situations where the difference amount is charged off to another GL account YYYYYY. Can we handle these situations using reason codes?
I tried to configure a couple reason codes to handle this, but couldn't make it work.
Could you please explain in detail how can we make the over/payments to be charged to different accounts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
VenkatHi,
You define Reason Codes in Customizing. Use the menu path in IMG :
Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Incoming Payments -> Incoming Payments Global Settings -> Overpayment/Underpayment -> Define Reason Codes
In the reason codes definition, tick the check box with Heading 'C' immediately after the Correspondence Type.
Then maintain the settings Define Accounts for Payment Differences. In this setting, you can have different accounts depending on the reason code. Click on Rules and tick the check box against Reason Code. Click on Accounts and maintain the correct accounts against the reason code.
Once you have maintained the above settings, you can post the difference directly to a GL Account using Reason Code. For this, when you enter incoming payment using T-code F-28, in the open item screen, click on the Residual payment tab and enter the residual Amount. Just next to residual tab is the field to enter the reson code. Enter the appropriate Reason code and your posting will be done to a GL Account.
Hope this helps

MRBR- Remove Blocking reason automatically
Hi,
we have below scenario:
Invoice created for a vendor in MIRO with reference to PO withour GR. Payment Block "R-Invoice Verification" is set in the invoice due to Quantity and Price Block.
Now the requirement is to remove the Invoice block automatically in the background and work item should be removed from the inbox.
When we scheduled a batch job for MRBR with options "Release automatically" ,system selects only the invoice where the reason code is invalid i.e., where a GR has been performed for the invoice.
Checked SDN forum but could not find the solution.
Can you suggest how we can automatically remove the block using MRBR without creating GR.
Thanks in advance.

Code for AP Invoice Payment Block and Blocking Reason
What is the best way to code unblocking of Accounts Payable Invoice - using FM FI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE, BDC or direct table update.
Also, i need to remove blocking reasons for MM documents. I am not sure what table this is stored? Are there any FMs that can do this or does anybody have any example code?
Help much appreciated
AndrewHi,
Also, i need to remove blocking reasons for MM documents. I am not sure what table this is stored? Are there any FMs that can do this or does anybody have any example code?
The table is RBKP_BLOCKED.
To remove blocking reasons have a look at transaction MRBR.

This 3rd time I followed this link. But nothing new, same error.
Can you please tell me how to do follow, I cannt do the 1st step, how to change the local system to windows level account, vice-versa. It is shown mine as
Server Configuration Manager(Local)
From here I folllowed the steps ---[I cannt insert link/image :-(]
SQL 2008/R2 setup fails with "Wait on the database engine recovery handle failed"
If I right clicked on SQL Server Service, there is no option to change the account.
Hello,
Thanks for your patience, did you tried stesp mentioned in below article
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqljourney/archive/2012/03/16/sql-2008-r2-setup-fails-with-quot-wait-on-the-database-engine-recovery-handle-failed-quot.aspx
To resolve it, follow these steps:-
When the installation throws this error, click on OK and allow it to proceed. It will fail for Database Engine, but the SQL Server service should have
been created. Check the Services console.
If the service is present, perform the following steps:-
1. Go to SQL Server Configuration manager, right click on the SQL Server service, and change the service account (if it is local system, give
it a windows level account, and vice-versa). It might throw a WMI error but you will see the account getting updated anyway. If not, then use the Services console. Change the account for SQL Agent as well.
Use this link to change sql server service account
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345578.aspx
2. Next, try to start the service. It should come online.
3. However, you will not be able to log in to the SQL Server
4. Now stop the service and start it from the command prompt using -m -c -T3608 parameters.
5. Now try logging in to the server using admin connection from sqlcmd (sqlcmd admin:<server name>\<instance name> ...)
6. Once logged in, use the sp_addsrvrolemember '<domain\username>','sysadmin'.
Also add the builtin/administrators to the sysadmin role
7. Now stop the service from the command prompt and start it from SQL Server configuration manager
You should be able to log in to the server now.
Hope this helps someone.
Please revert if it helps or even if it does not
