Mrp control parameter- neupl

Hi, pls advise is it necessary to use newpl control parameter to run the mrp first time in any plant after cutover activities updation? incase if we run with netch, what will happen? any problem will arise. pls guide.

NEUPL  PROCESSING INDICATOR MEANS  RUNNING MRP IN TOTAL PLANNING HORIZON .
During Go Live time  or  the frist time you should choose this Process Indicator -NEUPL,2,1,3,3,2 in MD02/MD03/md01.If you choose NEUPL , then even there is new material created or if there is no in planning file  entry , MRP will consider them during planning run  as well carry out the net requirement calcualtion .
Othewise , you may have to re-run for the fresh entry  or may missed out some of them items

    Option "1 " states "Basic dates will be determined for planned orders"
    The order basic dates are determined from the in-house production time in the material master and used as production dates.
    Option "2" states "Lead time scheduling and capacity planning"
    lead time scheduling is carried out. The production dates are calculated from the floats in the scheduling margin key of the material master and the individual operation times in the routing.

    when i am loading my infopackage it's giving the error as follows
    Error when updating Idocs in Source System
    Diagnosis
    Errors have been reported in Source System during IDoc update:

    There are IDocs with incorrect status.
    Procedure
    Check the IDocs in Source System . You can get here using the BW Monitor.
    Removing errors:
    How you remove the errors depends on the error message you receive.
    for that i checked in idoc maintenance in OLTP
    it's showing the following error
    "Incomplete control parameter for commmunication with the BW system"
    how to resolve this issue

    Hi All,
    Pl. let me know where we define the MRP Control Parameters that gets displayed ,when we execute MRP(MD02), like
    Create purchase req
    1. purchase requisitions
    2.purchase requisitions in opening period
    3.planned orders
    etc.
    Normally we select these parameters while execution only.
    I want to know where these parameters are defined.

    As Mr.Prashob said these are internal SAP setting. like this many settings are there. For example order type category is 10 for prod order. This also you cannot change, This will execute many functions internally in SAP.
    If you want to set the indicators with respect to MRP group. you can ssign in MRP group setting.

    Can anyone explain me what values(MRP control parameters)should i use for MRP run.

    For all materials type you can run withfollowing control parameters from MD02.
    1) Processing key: NETCH
    2) Create purchase requisations: Keep 1...by doing this for F parts MRP creates PR and for all E parts MRP creates Planned orders...This will work according to procurement type. If you keep 3 "created planned orders: then MRP created only Planned orders..no PR will be created.
    3) Create scheule lines: Keep 3...if schedule lines are mainatin then scheudle lines will be created..otherwise no impact.
    4) Create MRp list: 1... to see the MRp results.
    5) Planning Mode: 1..This is better to improve the system performance . if you new data eevrytime then keep planning mode 3.
    6) scheduling type: 1...Basis dates scheduling if you are not working with capacity planning.
    If you are maintaining scheudle margin key in MRp2 view with opening period for example 10 days and in MRP control parameters :create PR in opening period" then MRP creates PRs only in the opening periods of the schsdule margin key if the opening dates of the PRs are falls within these 10 days. Otherwise MRP creates planned orders..later you can convert these Planned orders into PRs.

    Seems like your source system is not active...
    Try transaction RSA1 -> Source Systems -> select system and
    click 'activate'.

  • How does the .h file macro map to CVICALLBACK control parameter?

    I created 8 command buttons and created same callback for all the buttons. Also have a 2x4 array initialized to value of 1. When user clicks any button the 2x4 array value should change to 0 (as command button does not change value to 1 when selected). In order to fill the array I thought of using control from CVICALLBACK.

    Hi, this is a common isue that has been discussed several times on the forums and does not have a fast response.
    First of all, you should not modify the include file associated to the UIR file, as stated on top of it, since the system automatically regenerates it every time it saves the UIR. Additionally, the ID assigned to the controls depends on the tab order you define on the panel, so it is subject to change. FYI, this is a discussion on this subject that you may want to read: as you can see, it originates from a question very similar to yours.
    Despite what I have said, control IDs actually can be used to discriminate between controls, so in your situation, and provided the buttons are assigned a progressive ID with the tab editor (Ctrl+T on the panel and assign the IDs clicking on the controls), your code could be rewritten this way:

  • CTM Control Parameter SSTOCK_MODE

    We are running CTM with control parameter SSTOCK_MODE with value 1:X, value 2: blank. in this way ctm plans only for safety stock demand, not normal demand.
    However, when we do this, CTM does not see available supply already created and it creates production plan again.  Is there anyone who had the same problem or who can help on that?

    Why does CTM create an excess of supply when I use the safety stock method?
    Answer:
    The standard safety stock method uses a second run to fulfil the requirements for the safety stock. CTM checks the inventory profile and as soon as there is a need it creates a virtual demand for the second run. With this method CTM creates demands at a certain point of time to maintain safety stock level irrespective of the orders created further down the timeline. Consequently you can get an excess of supply, especially when lotsize settings are being considered.
    For example you can face a situation with no stock at the beginning of
    the planning period and then several big forecasts at the end.
    In this case CTM creates a demand for the safety stock without taking
    into account the following forecasts (which have been supplied in the first run).
    In order to mitigate the creation of excess of supply you can use the control parameter SSTOCK_MODE:
    SSTOCK_MODE
    Do not use in SCM 5.0 or higher. Instead use in CTM profile ->
    Supplies with 'Build Up Safety Stock'
    Do not plan Demands indicator  = SSTOCK_MODE Value1 = X.
    Consider Supply Shortage indicator = SSTOCK_MODE Value2 = X and 1 and 2 Stock is Available indicator = SSTOCK_MODE Value2 = 0 and 2.

    Parameter used in Safety Stock Run (ABAP)
    Parameter has to be set by User
    Value 1 = "", X (Parameter active also if Value 1 not set)
    Value 2 = 0, 1 (previously X) or 2
    Description: Demands and Safety Stock fulfilment can be done in the same CTM run. Applied only if safety stock rebuild active.
    If Value 1 is set the order selection of the normal run is performed but the planning of normal demands is skipped. The safety stock run is performed as usual.
    In the safety stock run, CTM creates virtual demands to trigger building up to the desired safety stock level.
    If Value 2 = 1 or 2 the net calculation of the inventory also takes into account the backlog of normal demands. By default, the safety stock run doesn't take into account the backlog of normal demands, which is determined by the unpegged quantity.
    If value 2 = 0 or 2 , available stock is not blocked for safety stock requirement of the same location product, but is visible to dependent requirements during planning. However stock with a pegging relation is not available and remains untouched.
    The combination of both values can be used to plan normal demands and safety stock in one run. This allows avoiding interval planning in case of time-dependent safety stock. This setting is only suitable if safety stock is considered exclusively for finished products because normal demand counts up against decreasing safety stock level. In this case parameters SSTOCK_EARLYFRAME and SSTOCK_LATEFRAME should be applied.

  • Planning delivery schedule - Call control Parameter

    In the scheduling Agreements at the Item level there is a tab Call Control Parameter and if we maintain Planning delivery Instruction there will be a extra tab appearing in the item level Planning Delivery schedule. If we give the Planning instructions the Schedules in the Forecase delivery we can she the split quantities in the Planning delivery Schedules.
    My questions:
    1.Whether from this Planning delivery we can create delivery
    2.Whether we have to Maintain any thing in JIT delivery.
    3.Whether Planning delivery is only to pass the requirement so that we can see that in MD04.
    4.Whether the Schedule line in the Planning delivery is also copied to the JIT delivery(if so were can we maintain that setting)
    5.While the delivery is created from the scheduling agreement only the forcast as a whole is appearing   in the delivery and we cannot see the delivery happening according to the Planning delivery schedules.

    PR's and POs are Purchasing Documents..
    Purchase info records and Source lists are the Master data which can facilitate/default the values for easy and quick process of PO Creation.
    With out IR,SL also PR can be created and those PR's can be converted to PO.

    Few Inputs regarding MRP run at Go Live and Post Golive situation :
    1.Go Live time MRP run : Based on WIP posting , open orders (PR,PO,SO,STPR,STO) , Stock , you will run MRP for the frist time with Process Indicator -NEUPL,2,1,3,3,2 in MD02/MD03
    2.After that you need to analysis the planning result -Net Rquerement (+/-) and lead time analysis , safety stock , replensihment pattern -weekly , month as per your business requirement
    3.Basically , frequency of MRP run depends on the material lead time and order fullfill ment (Sales Order ,Independent Order ) .
    4.It depends on the planning situtation -Demand Pattern and replenshment set up.For example , you have central plant-supplying plan and having 6 DC.The lead time of DC is 7 days from suppling plant and Vendor to Suppling plant 90 days .In thsi case , i hope u need to run MRP every month for DCs if you want to repleish monthly basis .Where as in Supplying plant every three months besaue of lead time .It depends on order fullfill ment and LT
    Few parameters :
    1.Stockable or non stockable material
    2.Lead Time
    3.Replishment strategy and RLT
    4.Demand pattern -Order /In dependent
    5.Safety Stock
    6.Planning Structure
    7.Validity of the Fcatory calander
    8.WIP posting or WIP should cleared .
    9.All the stock are updated or not .

    i have created a material with strategy 40. first i created sales orders without changing any option in Requirement class. then i run MRP. planned orders are created for sales order.
    after that i changed the requirement class as No MRP and creatred new sales orders when i run MRP The sales orders which i created after changing the Requirement class is getting added to the planned order.
    as the second sales orders should not consider in MRP Why they are gettind added to the planned order.is there any other control that controls the sales order MRP consideration.
