MRP doesn't consider PM Orders and reservation

Hi experts.
I've a prob. When MRP runs the purchase requisiton is created  with the quantity based in reorder-point and min. lot size, doesn't matter manual reservations or pm order reservation. The material has mrp at storage location level.
E.G.
SCENARIO #1
Material A
I Tried the MRP types: VB, VM, VV, ND.
I Tried the Avaliable Check: 01,02,CH, DR,KP
Plant P
Storage S
Reorder point 5un
Safety stock 2un
Actual Stock at sLoc 3.
Mrp created the PREq with 2UN ( Reorder point 5un - Actual Stock at sLoc 3).
SCENARIO #2
Material A
I Tried the MRP types: VB, VM, VV, ND.
I Tried the Avaliable Check: 01,02,CH, DR,KP
Plant P
Storage S
Reorder point 5un
Safety stock 2un
Actual Stock at sLoc 3.
PM Order Reservation 10un
Mrp created the PREq with 2UN ( Reorder point 5un - Actual Stock at sLoc 3). Whatever many reservations has.
What mrp settings must be done?
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
You can control the behaviour of the system via settings of the MRP type.
SPRO > Production > MRP > Master Data > Check MRP Types
This should be set for the MRP type you use:
V438A-ICBED = "2"
On "Additional External Requirements in reporder point planning" tab you can set which requirements shoudl be considered. As default manual reservations and SOs are considered by system as per SAP online help:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/37/8bbbd26a8111d3b4ed0004ac160649/frameset.htm
For PM orders you should mark check-box V438A-A2BED. Please try it...

  • The Diff Between Pre-Order and Reserved

    Pre-Order:
You walk into the store between the 24th and the 1st of July and walk out with an iPhone 4.
    Reserved:
You stand in line after all the pre-order people have gotten their iPhones (or if they don't show up, their phone is held for 7 days) and any extra phones are given to you, in a first come, first serve of the people who reserved. You are not guaranteed to get one.
    No Pre-Order or Reserve:
You get dibs on the phone after all the reserve people have gotten their phone.
End of story. Please stop asking.

Sorry, that doesn't make any sense. I mean, I get that a lot of people don't know there's even a difference between "pre-order" and "reserve", but why would "reserve" people have to wait until after all the "pre-order" people get their phones? The Apple store employees know not to give away the pre-order phones, I'm assuming they're pulling from a different "pile".
And there have been a few people on here who have said that Apple employees assure them there is an actual phone with their name on it. Difference is, their phone isn't programmed to their account yet and the reservation expires at the end of the day (as opposed to pre-ordered phones which expire after 7 days.) Not that the Apple store employees know all, they sure didn't today, but if it's a consistent answer like this, I'm inclined to believe them. Also, then, what's the point in telling the reservation people to come at 7AM if they're not even going to start giving them out then?

  • During MRP if system want consider open Pos and Reservation

  • Collective orders-Mrp is not considering partial orders in planning.

We are using collective orders,Backflush for goods issue. The order below the main order is partially confirmed(child order).
The order qty is 100.The child order is confirmed for 75.i.e: it is partially confirmed.
But the main order is confirmed and delivered for 100 and the status is REL  CNF  DLV  PRC  CFCO GMCO GMPS MACM.
    Help

I want to explain this more clearly.
we are using collective orders and planning strategy 10.
Say we need 1 roh to produce 1 halb
and need 1 halb to produce 1 fert.
    target qty =100 say
    MRP run
Production order qty for fert 100
production order qty for halb 100
purchase req qty for roh 100
say GR for roh qty 50
we confirmed qty of halb = 50 i.e:partially confirmed
Now went to fert order and will be able to confirm 50.But this is not happening.User is able to confirm 100.
we should be able to confirm only 50 since we have halb=50.
How to restrict this.he should be able to confirm fert qty 50 since confirmed  halb qty is 50.
Could  you please tell me what config setting i should do and where.
    thanks

  • Generating sales order and reserve invoice in a row

    Hi all,
    i'm using B1iSN PL14 with sap B1 8.8.
I need to build the following scenario :
I receive an xml file representing a sales order, i have to create :
    - a sales order
    - a reserve invoice based on the sales order
I've create two BIUs that currently work.
But now i'd like to chain the two BIUs and execute the the invoice creation only if a sales order has been created.
What is the best way to do tha kind of thing ?
    thanks !

I found it difficult in a similar situation & unfortunately didn't get much response from here.
    My workaround solution was:
    - I removed the filter for the B1i user; it's explained in the extensibility guide I think. Basically B1i ignores any events created by itself, but I removed that so B1i received all events including ones created by B1i itself.
    - When creating my first document (for the example lets say it was a Sales Order), I entered a specific text in the remarks field - you could also use a UDF
    - Then my BIU for the second document then had the following conditions
    Document = Sales Order
    User = B1i
    Remarks = CreatedWithB1i (for example)
So using this, any time my first BIU completed succesfully, it triggered the second one... it's clearly a workaround solution, but it worked for me.

  • Sales orders ans reservations not taken into account on MPS / MRP

    Hello,
I am implementing the MPS / MRP and I have the following problem:
I have modified the necessary material master fields to take into account some materials on the MPS / MRP execution. These fields are MRP type, Lot Size, Strategy group and Availability Check.
Then, executing the MPS / MRP I have realised that only the sales orders and reservations created after the material master modifications are taken into account when I execute the MPS / MRP.
I suppose this is because the sales orders and reservations created before the material master modifications did not create the requirements because the availability check was not set for the material and so on... but I need to take into account these "old" reservations and sales orders .
Is there any way to "update" these orders and reservations?? Or I need to delete them and create new ones??
There are several sales orders and reservations created before the material master modifications. I think there have to be an standard way to update them.
Thank you very much in advanced,
    Jordi.

    Dear,
Are you getting these reservation in MD04?
Check the Planning file entry for these material in MD21 if not then create it through MD20 and take MRP run with planning mode -3 Deleted and recreated. And Processing key NETCH.
Also check the The firmed receipt is within the rescheduling horizon. The rescheduling horizon is set in Customizing for the MRP group (Transaction OPPR, Table T438M). A default value can be predefined in the Customizing of plant data (Transaction OPPQ, Table T399D). define the longer duration for it.
The firmed receipt (the MRP element) participates in the rescheduling check. You can set which MRP elements participate in the rescheduling check in the Customizing of the plant data (Transaction OPPQ).
Else you can carry out modification A using the MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA BAdI and the CONSIDER_RESB method without making a modification.

  • Purcahse  order and purchase requisition

    Hi all,
I know we can have logistics scenario of creating Purchase requition, Purchase order and Reservation from service order as a standard out of box solution.
But here at my client site, we dont enter sparts on service order just we enter on confirmation.
Can we still acomplish all logistic scenarios like PR, Po and resrvation from confirmation anf if so on which system status.
    Thanks,
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
There is no standard way of acheiving what your client requires.
In a CRM serivce Order - only when the system status -Released is succuessfully acheived, meaning successful integration of data from CRM to R/3 - then a confirmation can be successfully created. A confirmation upon release only confirms stock consumed, against the reserved stock in the service order and only helps in stock update in R/3.
As far as i know the Service order when released creates a reservation and preq not the confirmation.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Shiloo

  • No pre order or reserve question

Ok sorry if this has been answered, but i did not pre order or reserve an iphone because it stated on apple.com that i have to put money down to start a line with AT&T. will i be able to go to AT&T on the 24th and start the process? or is the 24th only for people who pre ordered and reserved?

Go to an ATT or Apple store now or when you have the money and start the process, you won't get a iPhone 4 until they have one available (They have sold out). Waiting until 24th will only delay your wait, others will pre-order ahead of you.
Trying to do anything at an ATT store for the next couple months will mean getting in line behind all the other folks trying to get their hands on an iPhone.

  • Production order and planned order qty should not consider in MRP

    Dear All,
i do not want to consider the previous month production order qty and plenned order qty (Nothing but WIP qty) in the current momth MRP, but the stock has to consider in MRP.
    Example,
    Before MRP,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
After MRP, the requirement should be as below said,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
    Pld OrdQty : 1000 for 02.05.2008
For the above requirement ,i have done settings in the availabilty check like , for include planned order and include production order are "DO NOT TAKE IN ACCOUNT".
Even then also the planned order qty is generating for the "500" only.
please give the solution for the above said requirement.
    thanx in advance
    Regards
    Srinivas

    hi
MRP will always consider the prod order qty while doing nert req calculation. One thing u can do is TECo the prod orders and un MRP then it wont consider prod order qty.
The Availability check will check whether the components r avalaible or not based on ur scope of check

  • MRP type for two different types requirments( Sale order and PIRs)

    Dear All,
We have requirment  some materials we have sales order and PIRs. For sales order we want to consider with "MRP type" as PD and PIR we want to consider "MRP type" as VB manual reorder point planning.
    Is there any stadard  solution.
If standard solution not possible also poivde some inputs on enhancement.
    Regards
    Sailendra
Edited by: nivedita yadav on May 7, 2010 2:31 PM

    Sailendra,
your post is confusing, how you want to different MRP type for same material?
    and why its needed?
    1) you can use MRP type PD , and incoming sales order will search in existing stock or will create procurement proposal ( depends upon what strategy you are using)
    2) If you  are using VB then when ever you stock will fall below the reorder point you maintained in material master , system will create new procurement proposal, here the manual means the value you need to maintained manualy for reorder point and safety stock.
In automatic reorder point planning, both the reorder level and the safety stock level are determined by the integrated forecasting program.
The system uses past consumption data (historical data) to forecast future requirements. The system then uses these forecast values to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level, taking the service level, which is specified by the MRP controller, and the material's replenishment lead time into account, and transfers them to the material master.
    hope it will help you.

  • Blanket Purchase Order and MRP

    Gurus,
How MRP considers Blanket purchase Order - supplies..suppose i have a BPO for 100 Items/1 yr..that means roughly every qtr 25 numbers. But we are not asking the suppliers to supply the good until we ask him..this contract is to reduce lead time ..still buyer should be aware of the demand for this items..if BPO is not there..he will get requisitions..but now MRP will not recommond PR's as BPO is in place..pl advise..how to handly this case/
I couldnt find much documentation on BPO and MRP.
    Rgds,

MRP does not consider BPO as supply. Only blanket releases are considered as a supply.
So in your case, MRP WILL recommend PR whenever it sees the demand. And the buyer will be able to convert the PR into a Blanket release.
    Hope this answers your question

  • Production order and its Purchase order after MRP

    Dear Expert,
I am wondering does SAP B1 2007 provides functionality about a production order and its purchase orders generated after a MRP will be marked so that I can check the corresponding purchase orders of a production order ?
    Thanks,
    Deckard

    Hi Suraj V ,
Thanks for the reply, I have more questions about,
    (1) is it possible to trace those purchase orders from the production order?
    (2) is it possible to reserve those purchase orders of a production order because I found that the system allow another production orders to take the inventory by the receipt of the purchase orders marked by the other production orders?
    Thanks a lot

  • MRP and Reservation issue

    Dear Gurus,
Our scenario for chemical industry is  MTS with strategy 10.
After MRP run for material 15 Planned orders are generated. After converting planned orders to Process orders are generated on same day 05/01/2012.
But actual production starts earlier on 25/12/2011 when process order date changed to 25/12/2011 and try to do batch determination error occurs as Material not available on 25/12/2011,though enough stock exists.
After TECO (all other 14 process orders) this allow process order to do Batch determination.
    Why this error occurs ?
    Please guide.

    Hi Pert,
The issue is in ATP logic. Please check of you have comsidered the reservation in ATP and also the pal orders and production orders as welll.

  • Stock reservation against Sales order and deivery against reserved stock

    Hi SAP Gurus,
e We are trying to provide a solution for thscenario where user wants to reserve stock immediatey after SO creation...and deliver same reserved stock.
i am recommanding Reservation where reservation will be created with 231 immediately after SO creation but the rea problem is that how to create SO delivery against that reservation/Reserved stock so that document flow remains intact for the SO.
Thank you very much in advance,
    Regards,
    Dharmesh.

    Hi Lakshmipathi,
I had the same question and search landed to this thread but I ask again with the different perspective
The reservation concept is really an MM functionality but you really dont reserve stock against any order or delivery (other than using special stock movement types like 412E) but unless you create a delivery immediately (and include deliveries as requirements in case of ATP check) you have no real way of establishing the hard reservation. If you do a non-order reservation i.e. you reserve something in anticipation then reservation needs to be used as a receipt in ATP check for both sales order and delivery.
Alternatively what you can do at most is to conserve the pegging relationship (fixed pegging) that has been established once the order is confirmed (with or without ATP check) but this can get really tricky when you have batch determination to be done is delivery in which case you find that there aren't enough batch stocks conforming to customer specifc SLED to pick. So both ATP check and pegging looses its purpose of hard reservation. So that leaves us with having to determine batches too at sales order creation and let pegging not change.
Is this is a good idea in general.. 1) in Make to stock segment, 2) In make to order segment..
Does the concept of resevation stocks at sales order creation does more harm than good ? in general.. Implication in planning. inventory build up .MRP. Another issue is how long should you reserve stocks against order or against specific customer or country and such.

  • MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date

    Hi experts,
    We have below scenario:
Material has the stock 100. It has reorder point 3 and MRP type V2 (Automatic reorder point with external requirements) and planned delivery time 10 days.
MRP run creates purchase requisition whenever the stock falls below reorder level or/and based on customer orders requirements.
We created first sales order for Qty 80 and delivery date 03/01/2012.  Qty 80 is confirmed against this sales order.
We created second sales order for Qty 50 and delivery date 01/31/2012. Now remaining Qty 20 is confirmed against this order. So we have requirements of 30 Qty for this second order.
When we run MRP, it supposes to create Purchase requisition for Qty 33 (30 + 3) including reorder point (3 Qty). As the delivery date for this order is 01/31/2012 and requirement Qty is 30, and planned delivery time is10 days, MRP run should create purchase requisition. But it is not creating.
If I change the planned delivery time to 30 days, it is creating purchase requisition. It is considering sales order delivery date of First order (delivery date: 03/01/2012), but not for second order (delivery date: 01/31/2012).
So MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date.
Appreciate your help in this regard to resolve the issue
    Thanks,
