Dear all,
How to solve 40 coverage not provided by master plan error.
I checked in forum for that i have tried to create planning file entry,it shows The material has been market for the MRP run.
But i checked in mrp order report still its showing that error.

Please refer note 550441 - FAQ: Exception messages in material requirements planning question no 06 for Exp message 40 Coverage not provided by master plan.
Exception message '40' resulted from the calculation of the ATP quantity in Transaction MD04.The calculation of this ATP quantity is not provided anymore in Transaction MD04 from Release 4.6 since it was not an "actual" ATP quantity as in Transaction CO09, but it was calculated according to a separate logic which did not take into account certain relevant parameters.Branching to the ATP quantities now leads to Transaction CO09 which considers all MRP elements, checking rule and scope of check.This instrument should be used now, here the previous exception message '40' is equivalent to a negative, cumulated ATP quantity.In Transaction MD04 exception messages '10' and '30' from the rescheduling check can also be used to determine receipt elements that are not covered.

Error Could Not Commit Transaction(ADOC
The issue reported may be probably related to approval procedures.
Could you please ask the customer to try the following:
Check which approval template is used for Purchase Order.
Log on with the approver user (designed approver in the template).
Go to the Approval Templates Setup window, Terms tab.
If the radio button 'when the following applies' is checked, please
check if any box was checked on the 'Choose' column and if the
Ratio 'Undefined type' is selected.
If so, either select a ratio and define a value, or uncheck the box.
Check the last line in the Terms tab ('Undefined type') and make sure
it is not checked.
Update.
Also please check the stored procedure code if any used by the customer
for this form.
For your second error
No matching records OITT run the following query and check if you are getting any results

Detailed information on MRP error

Hi,
I'm trying to understand why some materials show up in error in the report following our MPS/MRP run through MD40. I have a number of materials that are permanently stopped (both X-plant and plant specific material status), that aren't in any BOM, but nevertheless show up in error (exception 8) in the report.
Could you help me understanding:
- how can I further investigate the output of this report so I can understand what goes wrong?
- what exactly determines whether or not a material is taken into account during an MPS/MRP run? Is it simply defined by the scope of planning and then everything which has dependent requirements? Or is there another way to control? (I'd like to understand why the permanently stopped materials are still showing here).

I do understand that the error is now because the material is permanently stopped. However I do not understand why the material is showing up here anyway, as it does not have any dependent requirements. I have plenty of other permanently stopped materials that do not show up in error and I don't see the difference.

When I finished extending the material to the specific plant and sales organization,and go into look at via mm03,I am encountering that error message,MRP 1 not active for the organizational level,it seemed that it had not been extended to MPR level 1-4,how could I do now,please advise.

You can extend the MRP views of material by using transaction code MM01 itself

MM MIGO ISSUE Price(MRP) Error

dear Gurus,
we have created a new tab in the DETAIL DATA (ZMRP) in MIGO T-CODE. In this field (MRP) , the combination of material , batch and MRP is maintained in Z table . If the MRP is maintained for that material against that batch then this MRP will be displayed in this field (ZMRP).
now the problem is if there are 10 line items

in the above screen if i enter the delivery number and press enter then all the line items will be displayed here and i check (OK - check box) every line item and i enter the SLOC for all the line items then if i go and check in the DETAIL DATA for 1st line item
and for 2nd line item
which is fine if the screen is displaying when we enter the t-code migo as in fig 1.
after this please find the attached doc123.doc

About by-product MRP error in substracting

my bom structure as below:
A        *    2 PC
|-----B          *     -1 KG     as by-product
|-----C          *     3   KG
B can be used as component in other product.
so I create a substract po with A, it will increase the A's atp stock of own stock.
and it will decrease the C's atp stock of own and substracter.
but it only increase the B's atp stock of substracter. so the system create so many pr.
in fact, there is no need to purchase B because it will be deliveried from substracter.
Are there any solutions to increase B's own atp stock?

Problem with a Standby Database

Hello,
if have some problems with a special standby database. why special? because i try it whit another, which was newly build with oracle tools and everything works. I mean the redo log transfer and the log apply and everything.
At first I try to use the DGM, to guide me through the process, but this manager didn't start to copy anything of the database files. So I make an offline backup from the database as you can see in the oracle data guard doc. later on I used the DGM again to build a data guard configuration. Everything seems to be fine. But then I get ORA-16778: log transport service for some site has an error AND ORA-16766: physical apply service unexpectedly offline.
I don't know what to do now. I really try to help myself but it always stop at this point.

ORA-16766: physical apply service unexpectedly offline.You must check in the alert log why the MRP is going down, the info is in this file.
In order to get more comments, give us a "snapshot" of your install:
. Release
. Configuration
. Folders structures
. init file (pfile/spfile) contents
And paste the MRP error stack from the alert log.

No of order proposals to be limited

I have a material and for this material requirement is 500 and in the material master min and max lot size is 1. When i do MRP run system is creating 500 orders. Where can i control this means system should not create more than 200 orders. Upon knowing this users will increase the min and max lot size and do the planning run again.

You can maintin maximum number of procurement proposal in Plan parameters / MRP group level parameters for MRP->Error Handling.
MRP will be terminated if procurement proposals cross this limit. DO check in Sandbox.

Error msg when changing the MRP type in ME22N

Hi,
When i change MRP type from MRP to Manual in ME22N, it will come out the error msg:Purchase request mandatory for MRP generated Purchase order (Application area: ME Message no. ME901)! My question is how to change this error msg to warning msg?
From SPRO-Material Management-Purchasing-Environment Data-Define Attributes of System Messages ,i can not find the entry regarding this issue.

Sometimes end user want to add some item without PR under MRP PO.
As before system will only indicate the warning msg that we change to error msg three month ago, but i forgot how to change!

Costing error while change mrp data in material master

Hi dears,
This is Rem process. when i try to change the material master MRP data ex. ( mrp type M1 to M0)
system not allow to change and show the error as
Product cost collector 000000750122 is still active (assigned to PrCtr 50601-025)
i need to change the mrp data in mm02 and i donot want to do delete the pcc .
any process to carryover

Hi,
MRP is mainly configured for a material so that tere would not be any need for manual checking of the stock so as to create a PR.
The parameters which you have specified for a particular material like reorder point and lot size will help in planning for a particular material.
If you need only Qty of two (Less) then there s no need of configuring a MRP for that material
And lot size is also decided basing on certain other factors like
1) Lead time
2) Transportation costs involved in procuring the material etc
So ifyou want to generate PR for a qty of 100 then you need ot change the lot size

Did you try MASS or MM70 Transction ?
If you do not want to go for Deletion flag of PCC , you need to settle the REM qty .You need to do product cost for semi finished product and finsihed product in KKF6N and after that you have to do mark and release in CK24N .For standard cat Estimate create std Cost estimation(CK11n) and std cost Estimation Mark & release(CK24) .
1.Backflush (confirmation) the Planned order - MFBF. Results planned order will Reduced and GR,GI, activity cost will be posted. U need not convert the planned order to production order, Confirmation for planned order only.
2.To see Backflushed documents MF12
3.Then Goto KKF6n to see the Manufaturing cost.
4.Over head calculation - (Co42)
5. Variance calculation (KKS6)
6.Settlement(KK87)
Try and revert back

Yes, it is on the same server.
I have used the below mentioned parameters to rename the files
At Primary Pfile:
*.db_file_name_convert=('D:\app\oracle\oradata\test\test\','D:\app\oracle\testdr\oradata\datafiles\')
*.log_file_name_convert=('D:\app\oracle\oradata\test\test\','D:\app\oracle\testdr\oradata\redologs\')
At Standby:
*.db_file_name_convert=('D:\app\oracle\testdr\oradata\datafiles\','D:\app\oracle\oradata\test\test\')
*.log_file_name_convert=('D:\app\oracle\testdr\oradata\redologs\','D:\app\oracle\oradata\test\test\')
But the output of v$datafile at standby is showing the path of Primary datafiles
I manually tried recovering them but it is prompting me the same error.

Sales Order costing error to prevent Plan Order generation in MRP run

Dear PP Experts,
We are into sales order costing due to Variant Config implementation.
Problem Statement: After sales order entry /Characterisitc value selection, while saving sales order , SO costing is auto triggered. Many a times one of the new Raw material price is not maintained( Purchase info record), hence SO costing occurs. SO costing is still saved, SO incompletion is not configured , so it is detected when Production order has 'No Target Cost'. This creates inconsistancy in FI postings.
My questions
- Can we set SO imcompletion for SO costing error( Standard Config?)
- Is there a enhancement to prevent MRP from processing Sales order with incompletion log i.e. Prevent MRP from generating Plan Order.

You can use BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to make the sales order not relevant to MRP.
