Mrp for Special procurement-40

Hi PP Expert,
I am working on one senario, Having 2 plants, A and B. Procurement type-E (PlantA) , Special procurement-40,Stock transfer (proc.from alter.plant).(Plant B)
Mate- X is in both plant.
Raw matere  require for prod. are in B .i.e.Y, Z.
I have carried out  MRP on plant level ( A ) , becz requirement comes in plant A. But there are no changes in raw materials which are in B.
Can u suggest the suitable ans.
Thanks....
Nitu.

Hi Nitu,
After you run MRP for plant - A, you need to run MRP for plant - B, that is when the procurement proposals are created in plant B for mtls - Y & Z if stock is not sufficient to meet the need.
Hope that answers your question.
If helpful award points

Vivek

  • MRP uses special procurement type L for material .ME174

    Hi All:
1 .When I tried to create PO for non-valued  material using ME21N,SAP displayed message "MRP uses special procurement type L for material"- .ME174.
(Non-vaued material is customized material type which has no accouting view and  is supplyed by suupplyer for free.)
2.I checked  the material setting in MM03 finding that the Procurement type has been set as 'F' and the Special procurement has been set as '30'.
3.I checked  the SPRO finding that the setting as  following path finding that Special  procurement has been set as L.
IMG > MM > Consumption-Based Planning > Master Data > Define Special Procurement Types
So what other problem is with my setting or configuration for the creating PO?
      Thanks.

    Hi,
You may want to double check the customization entry for special procurement type 30. Do ensure you are checking for the correct plant and you have "L" maintained against special procurement in the details section.
If this doesn't help, a post in the MM forum - SAP ERP - Logistics Materials Management (SAP MM) could help.

  • Transportation lane for special procurement key is flagged for deletion

we are on SCM 7.0 and ECC 5.0 and transportation lane records are automatically created for items with special procurement keys (SPK). When we change an SPK, the old record is automatically being locked and flagged for deletion. This is causing planned orders in the old lane to not be replanned. it is therefore incorrectly indicating that a requiremnt is being met by the old planned receipt.
The documentation indicates that the lane should be locked (not locked and flagged for deletion). When it is locked, the orders are deleted and replanned in the new lane as expected.  Can someone tell me if the correct behavior is for it to just be locked or to set to flagged for deletion? if it is supposed to be flagged for deletion, how do we delete the planned orders in the old lane without switching the record back to locked only?

    Hello,
Please follow on the SAP Help library:
    Automatic Creation of Transportation Lanes

Change of Supplying Plant in the Special Procurement Type
In the SAP R/3 system, if you have changed the supplying plant in the special procurement type, the SAP APO system creates a new transportation lane for the new supplying plant (from special procurement type) and material/plant combination. The already existing transportation lane and now invalid combination between supplying plant and receiving plant in the R/3 system is locked for orders in the SAP APO system. This can be recognized by the lock indicator X that is set by the system.
Removal of Special Procurement Type from the Material Master Record
If you have removed the special procurement type from the material master record in the SAP R/3 system, the SAP APO system locks the already created transportation lane so that it cannot be used in orders.
Hope it helps in this matter.
    The best regards,

  • Error message M3775 : Error in recursiveness check for special procuremen

    Hi All,
I am trying to update the MMR for a material when I save the changes it gives an error message M3775 : ('Error in recursiveness check for special procurement type').
And also want to know why I am getting this error now, Why it doesnt gave any error at the time when the standerd procurment key was set to the plants.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,
There are some similar customer messages with this issue occuring -
please see the below answers and check if relevant in your case
When a storage location is planned separately (SLoc MRP indicator '2'
in MRP4-view), it is automatically replenished by stock transfer from
the plant. You don't need to maintain the corresponding
Special Procurement Key in this case.
Only if you want the material to be procured in another way than stock
transfer from the plant, the Special Procurement Key
    in the MRP4-view is necessary.
So you should be able to avoid the message just by keeping the
Special Procurement Key blank (as it is intended  for stock transfer
    from the plant).

  • Special Procurement MRP View VS. Costing View

    Hi Experts,
What's the difference between the 2 Special Procurement Key in the MRP veiw and the Costing View?  Should they always be the same?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi,
    MRP:
You use special procurement when you want to be able to override the procurement type in the material master or define the procurement type more precisely.
If the procurement type is in-house, you can nevertheless force the system to ignore the BOM and routing, and process the material as if it were externally procured, by specifying the special procurement as external.
    Costing:
If you enter a special procurement type in the Costing view of the material master record, it will be used in costing.
If you do not enter a special procurement type in the costing view of the material master record, the system will use the special procurement type in the MRP view.
    For further Clarification revert.

  • MRP planning for external procurement

    Dear all,
How do i make my system, upon MRP, trigger a purchasing requisition for external procurement of a external 3rd-party vendor?
How to setup this in the system and master data?
    thanks,
    tuffy

    Dear Tuffy,
For all the externally procured items, maintain the procurement type as F in MRP2 view.
Maintain Purchase Info record for the material and vendor combination in ME11 and then assign the vendor for the material, plant
combination in the source list in ME01.
In this case the Purchase Info Record should be created for standard Info Record.
In the case of sub-contracting assign the procurement type as F and special procurement value as 30 in the MRP 2 view of the
material master and create Subc-ntracting Purchase Info Record in ME11 and assign the vendor in source list in ME01and source
list usage as 2 in both the cases.
The above sub-contracting is assembly sub-contracting process.
    Check and revert

  • Special procurement key 10 for sales plant

    Hi Expert,
We have one sales plant which normally used for trading activities but besides, sometimes we also have consignment process happen under this plant. Currently we don't maintain any value under sales procument key > MRP 2 view. My question is, can we maintain value 10=consignment as special procurement key? Is there any dependens config or data maintainance that we have to look into if this value maintained?
    Thanks/Regards,

    HI,
You can maintain the special procurement key as10 based on which system will create a consignment PR when you execute a MRP.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Special procurement key 65 in MRP view.

    Hi gurus,
    I have two plants A & B.
    A = manufaturing plant.
    B = planning plant.
In plant A, we have maintained special procurement key as 65(withdrawl from alt.plant B)
In plant B, we have maintained special procurement key as 55 (production in another plant A)
My question is that mandatory to maintain 65 in the plant A. What might be the effort if you not maintain.
    Please explain.
    thanks in advance.

    Alapati,
You cant define special procurement key in both plants for the same material as defined by you. If Plant A is manufacturing you can have special procurement key assigned to the material in Plant B as "Production in Alternate Plant".

    hi Janardhan,
phantom assembly is the assembly which is not kept in stock rather it consumes directly.
Use of phantom assemblies are as below
Phantom assemblies are assemblies that have their own product structure, but whose assembly does not actually physically exist. The components of the phantom assembly are incorporated directly in the superordinate product. The product structure of the superordinate product contains a reference to the phantom assembly.
example - A car with music system.
During backflush, only the goods movement for the phantom assembly components are posted. The phantom assembly is marked as backflushed but does not trigger any goods movement.
Experts pl correct me if i'm wrong.

  • Costing run for materials with special procurement key

    Hello,
Since moving to ECC6, the costing run for materials with special procurement keys is not pulling the marked price from the materials the special procurement keys point to. Only the released prices are pulled.
    Example:
Material A, plant A has a future price (costing 2 tab) of 100 and a current price of 99
Material A, plant B has special procurement key Z1 (costing 1 tab) which pulls the costing from Material A, plant A
In our old system (46c) the costing run for Material A, plant B would pull 100.
In ECC6, the costing run for Material A, plant B pulls 99
Anyone that can push me in the right direction?

    Hi,
Based on the info provided thus far, the result that you notice in ECC 6.0 is right as it is picking the current standard price based on your setup.
Now why it is picking the future price in 4.6c, well for that you will have to do a detail check as in which variant is being used etc. I would suggest you to work with your CO personnel on this. Do a costing run for this particular material via CK11n using the variant which you mentioned & see the results.
Or if you can upload the screenshots (picasaweb or some other portal) of the valuation variant you're using in 4.6c, along with Acctng view 1 & 2, costing view 1 & 2 details of the material it would help to have a better understanding.

  • Cross Plant Planning for External procured Material in MRP with their stock

    Dear Gurus,
I have one requirement my client want Cross plant planning in MRP. this plants are only site plants no Manufacturing. All materials in these plants are Externally Procure Materials(F). Now they want cross plant planning  for Externally Procure Materials or cross plant planning  for Externally Procure Materials  with consider all plant stock details while planning.
can you tell me procedure for this,
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Devraj

    Hi,
In R/3 you cannot consider all plants in planning, you have to use SAP APO to achieve your goal (if your goal is to optimize the procurement in your plants). When you execute MRP run in R/3 it will only consider the details of one single plant.
I mean if you have several plants used for external procurement, and you want to make an optimal decision considering all the stocks and open transactional data, requirements in those plants, it is not possible in R/3 as per my knowledge - multi site/plant planning won't give you such optimal solutiion.

  • MRP - Create Planned Orders only for Externally Procured Materials

    Dear All,
We have a scenario that our client gives us the daily requirement schedule for the current month and a monthly forecast for future months so that we can plan our externally procured materials based on the forecast.
Now I only want the MRP run to create Planned Orders for HALB and FERT based on my current months daily schedule and planned orders for ROH (Externally Procured) based on the next months forecast (monthly).
I dont want the system to create planned orders for HALB and FERT from the forecast. The requirement for the ROH are however derived from the Finished Good BOM and the forecast is also given for the FERT material. I know its a long shot but is there a possibility in the system to do such a thing or a work around?

Your business case is not clear; MRP will create planned orders for inhouse produced materials, and either planned orders or purchase requisitions for external procurement.
You can choose to convert or release external procurement for a long time ahead (eventhough taht if you have proper lead times defined you can release by lead time), but convert inhouse planned orders to production orders only for next period (week, month). Actually this is common practice.
So I fail to understand your problem.

  • Configuration of special procurement for issuing and receiving plant

    Dear all,
I have two plants "x" and "y" which are not yet maintained in SAP. MRP run is carried for plant y and it triggers a STO to plant x. Please let me know the config steps for receiving and supplying plants. Also, the precautions to be taken while creating plants in SAP.
    Thanks in adavnce!!
    Suraj

    Hi,
In plant Y, you have to maintain Spl.procurement key in material master. In MRP 2 view assign External procurement & spl.procurement kery 40.
In the plant X, create material master as inhouse production in MRP 2 view.
Have to maintain BOM & Routing in plant X.
    Configure in SPRO> MRP> Planning> Define spl.procurement key.
In this assign Issue plant as X.
Run MRP for plant Y. System create Stock transport req in plant Y.
Convert this req into stock transport order.
In plant X, dependent req will create.
Use MB1B mvt type 301for single level stock transport.
For multi level stock transport use MB1B 303 - issue & 305 -receive mvt.

  • Define Special procurement for new plant

    Hi,
I need to define special procurement type for plant 1411.
I have created plant copying from plant 1401. Also I want define special procurement same as plant 1401.
But when I copy from 1401 special procurement. It gives error no company code found for plant 1411.
I have checked the assignment of plant to company code where I see that plant 1411 is assigned to company code 1100.
What can be the issue then.

    Hi,
Usuallu when you copy the plant from a existing plant for creation all the default parameters will also be copied.
If already the special procurement key had been defined for plant 1401 then it should be for 1411 also.
If need to change the default paraemeters you can
Goto OMI8 there we can go option Maintain then enter the plant then change the special procurement keyin master data.
