Hi,
To understand more clearly, Please let me know below
Able to navigate to workbench through Menu?
Further, selecting the respective plan, are you able to select respecting plan workbench?
Would like to know, whether you are not at all query in WB or able to query but getting empty result in WB?
Thanks,

  • Expired Lot quantity incorrect in MRP Planner Workbench

    Hello,
We have an issue with Expired Lots in the planer workbench.
    - We have an Expired Lot of material in quantity 5000 pcs.
    - In MRP, the system should create an "Expired Lot" demand of 5000 pcs to net out the expired lot quantity from the beginning on hand.
    - But, MRP creates an "Expired Lot" demand for only 4988 pcs.
Has anyone seen this behavior before?
Can anyone explain the logic of why the "Expired Lot" demand is only 4988 when the actual lot quantity is 5000?
Or, am I facing another bug?
    Appreciate an advice.
    Thanks,

  • Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench  using inventory planner responsability (IO)

Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench using inventory planner responsability (IO), in IO manual I found following information :
    Planner Workbench
You can use the Planner Workbench in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning to act on recommendations generated by the planning process for a plan. You can implement
planned orders as discrete jobs or purchase requisitions, maintain planned orders, reschedule scheduled receipts, and implement repetitive schedules. You can choose all
suggestions from an MRP plan, or only those that meet a certain criteria. In Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench is used to perform tasks such as setting up
item attributes, setting up supply chain BOM, and analyzing time-phased safety stocks.
my question is Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench can´t release planned orders.
    Thanks in advance
    regards James

    Hi James,
We cannot release planned orders from IO workbench.
IO is for safety stock planning, not for releasing planned orders. That is done from an ASCP plan which uses the IO plan as demand schedule.

  • Restriction of Need by Date in Planner workbench release against blanket PO

    Hi ,
Needed some information on this query below :
    ==================================================
For normal blanket PO, if the effective date is till 31-Jul-06 and if a release is done on this Blanket PO , with the need by date as ( example 02-Sep-06) , it still goes and does a release . There is no problem.
But in the planner workbench release, if the need by date is greater than the BPO effective date , it does not allow to release ...
Is this a constraint or any setup or any Profile blocking from doing this release ?
    Thanks
    Anil

    Sandeep,
Thank yo for your information. Are you suggesting that we write an SQL report to identfy the POs which we want to update the PO Need By Date, then we utilize the Purchasing Documents Open Interface to update the PO Need By Date?
Or would there be another way to do it from the ASCP workbench?
We are talking about a few thousand POs ... so we need to automate.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • 'Resource Usage' field in Planner workbench

    Hi,
Currently the 'Resource Usage' field in Planner Workbench > Item > Routing Operation > Resources doesn't not display decimal places.
What do I need to change in profile option or preference or anywhere else so that atleast 1 place after decimal is display. In the database column this field has data with decimal places.
    Thanks

    Hi Geert,
    Thanks for the advice.
I put '1' decimal place in Capacity Plan but it didn't work. Then I entered same value in all decimal places in all tab in Preferences, then it worked.
    Thanks

  • ASCp - Planner Workbench, PO in receicing order type record

    Dear Friends,
In ASCP, Planner Workbench ,under a plan, supply and ddemand screen has an order type "PO in receicving" with firm flag enabled with future date for due dates
We could see all the PO's for that item is closed. On hand Quantities also got increased based on that PO receipts.
Can you please let me know, what does that mean by "PO in receicving" order type record and how for a closed PO's it is being shown?
    Thanks,
    Ganesh

    Hi Ganesh,
The closed PO's should not be there and shouldn't have PO in Receiving status either.
But the reason why you must be seeing this is because there is still a record in MTL_SUPPLY for this PO with supply type code as RECEIVING and hence its still
    appearing in ASCP.
Please go by the below article if the supply is still shown in RECEIVING but PO's are completed and run the mentioned queries to diagnose and get the inventory transaction fixed.
Fully Received / Delivered / Finally Closed Po Line Still Appearing in Item Supply / Demand Form MS and RS (Doc ID 1364291.1)
Moreover, if you started seeing this issue more often then the best way is to put the piece of code in the collections hook i.e MSC_CL_CLEANSE API to purge the supplies from ODS if PO's are closed for those.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek Sharma

  • Performance of ASCP Planner Workbench

    Hi All,
I am facing a strange issue with ASCP Planner Workbench. We got a centralized instance. For TST instance, complete refresh is run and data is collected. Gather Schema Statistics run successfully with 40%. ASCP plan is run successfully.
Now while opening planner workbench, the planner workbench query hangs. Few queries work but then hangs again for the next step. Foe example: - If I run query to find specific item then query hangs. If it runs successfully ( after a long time) and I want to query Supply and Demand for specific item then again it hangs.
    This is highly frustrating situation.
Request your input on what can be the issue and the resolutions if any.

  • No IR suggestions in ASCP planner workbench

    Hi,
I am siting an example for better understanding of the problem:
    Ingredients:
    Item A(Buy) : Org1
    Item B(Make) : Org1
    Product:
    Item C(Make) : Org 2
My plan is in Org2.Both the items are also assigned to Org2.The sourcing rule for Org2 is set up like 'Transfer From' Org1.
When I run the plan, i get recommendations for work order and purchase requisitions only.
As per my understanding I was expecting Internal Requisition suggestion for the item that are transferred from Org1 as I am planning in Org2.
Please suggest how ASCP will show internal requisition suggestions in planner workbench.
    Thanks

there won't be recommendations for an internal req. It's always shown as purchase req. The difference will be in the source from. In the case of an IR it will source it from an org as opposed to an PR which will show a source supplier in the workbench. Key point to see the diff is the sourcing information which is present for the planned order.
Once you release it it will be implemented as IR. In this case you will also get an ISO.

  • PO release document with MRP Workbench planner

We are looking for some help with how to create a PO Release document with 5 daily deliveries identified per week and showing a discrete PO release reference number of blanket order and release number --ie Release 1000456-3, followed by 1000456-4 etc. At present we have tested 2 alternatives but neither of these solve our problem effectively:
    Option 1
In the MRP Planner workbench we are selecting release by ticking the lines we want to release--when we have a weeks worth to release in 5 individual daily buckets we tick all 5 and then continue with the release sequence. The output this provides is to give us 5 daily order buckets(in 5 lines) but everyone of these lines shows the same PO Release number but with separate delivery dates--ie 1000456-release 3 whereas we wanted it to show 1000456-release3 through to 1000456-release7.
    Option 2
Again in the MRP Planner Workbench, we tick one line of the 5 for release and release as an individual line going on to the save change and requisition created screens etc and then returning back to the workbench for the next delivery in that week. We then have to do this 5 times to release with sequential release numbers-- a tiresome unproductive process for a buyer handling many parts although it gives the required result of a PO Release 1000456-release 3 through to 1000456-release 7.
We believe one of you must have seen this problem, as we cannot be the only company planning daily deliveries to a lean production environment. If you have a potential solution we would be delighted to hear your advice.

    Hi,
this is right behavior by SAP.
No go to Release stragey config for Purchase Order.
Firstly Create the Release Class with Class type 032.
1.) Create Release group with rel Obj - 2
2.) Release Codes - Map newly created Release codes to newly created Release group
    3.) Release indicator
    4.) Release Strategies
you will be able to cretae the release st design.

  • Unable to release planned order for single line from MRP workbench

    Hi
We are unable to release planned order for single line from MRP Planner workbench, but Select All For Release is working for all the lines for the item
User want to release a specific line but no new requisition is generated
It is highly appreciable if anyone could help to resolve this issue
    Appreciate the Help
    Regards
    VKPK

It sounds like the release goes through in the workbench but the requisition does not show up in source - is this correct? If so I would check item attributes / flags for purchasing and buy. also have found some items require a purchase price to be populated in master and org

  • ESYU: Workbench에서 releasing을 통해 PR을 생성시 grouping 하는 방법

    Purpose
Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version: 11.5.9 to 12.1.2 - Release: 11.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Planner Workbench에서 Purchase Requisitions을 생성하기 위해 release 되는 line을 grouping 하는 방법에 대해 알아본다.
    Solution
    1. Workbenc에서 orders를 releasing 할 때, 이 functionality를 제어하기 위해 User Preferences가 setting 되어져야 한다.
ASCP: Plan/ Preferences/ Other tab에서 'Req Group By' field를 확인하고 원하는 grouping 값을 선택한다.
    - All on One (creates one purchase requisition for all recommended orders),
    - Buyer (creates one purchase requisition for each buyer; within each requisition, creates one line for each planned order),
    - Planner (creates one purchase requisition for each planner; within each requisition, creates one line for each planned order),
    - Vendor (creates one purchase requisition for each vendor; within each requisition, creates one line for each planned order),
    - Category (creates one purchase requisition for each item category; within each requisition, creates one line for each planned order),
    - Item (creates one purchase requisition for each item; within each requisition, creates one line for each planned order),
    - One each (creates a purchase requisition for each planned order) .
    - Location - PO Req Import process chooses deliver to location to group the lines.

  • ISO consideration for calculation of MRP per Safetystock adds more demand

    Hi Planning experts,
Internal Sales order consideration for aggregate demand which uses for Safetystock calculation based on MRP Planned percentage safety stock adds more demand in the warehouse.
We have ASCP Plan where X1 warehouse procures material from X2 Inventory organization through ISO created from Plan, after transfer Planned order releases from X2 and We have Safety stock calculated based on MRP percentage method in individual warehouses.
Since ISO considered for aggregated demand to safety stock, and acts as a individual demand for Plan adds of more demand to the plan and recommending additional Planned order supplies by ASCP engine.
Procurement rule: X2 --->X1through ISO recommended by Plan
    Steps to Reproduce :
Goto ISCP Responsibility > Advanced Supply CHain Planner >Workbench > Open Plan > query PWB data for X1 warehouse for any item which is procuring from X2 org for ex:Item: Y1 , verify the safety stock for this item in X1 and verify the ISO created from X2 through early Planned order releases from Plan, so there is additional demand equals to ISO qty observed, where ISO qty not required to be considered for aggregated demand used for MRP Planned percentage safety stock calculation for item:Y1.
Need to exclude ISO qty for MRP Planned safety stock calculation, please let us know how to exclude ISO for safety stock calculation, so additional supply will not be recommended by ASCP.
Please let me know, if u have any idea how to crack this issue.

-->What is the shortcut to change location type in APO?
Report /SAPAPO/CHECK_LOCATION_TYPE can be used to change location type (say from 1001 to 1002 or vice-versa)
can you check if this works - cos i think you need to use/SAPAPO/CHANGE_LOCTYPE
--> Can SAP APO be used as a stand-alone solution?
*of course, as a stand-alone planning solution it can be !!
and the connected executed system, which need not be ECC, is to give a well rounded solution
there are organizations that have APO alone and integrate to other execution systems, and there are companies that have implemented APO first and R3 later. there are companies that just need planning and dont have to execute it (transport planning and demand planning)*
-->How to copy a Process Chain?
To copy a process chain to another process chain, goto the Process Chain you want to copy and then type copy in the tool tar
also... if you dropdown on the toolbad under process chain you have a copy option... but this looks cool

  • How MRP is done in real industry - not in SAP

    Hello All,
how does one organisation's MRP planner works (not in SAP) business demand - fullfilling the demand?
if some one can give some light on purely in business terms how things will interconnect in requirements.
    Mahesh

Mahesh, you need to make a distinction about Materials Requirements Planning and Manufacturing Resource Planning (commonly MRPII).
The transaction for materials requirements planning MD0* to run and review material requirements and resupply in SAP are very much the same as in most of the other systems that I have used. It's simple maths, stock on hand minus requirements  = projected stock on hand. The planning system then dictates where and how resupplies are planned and how the planners are organised and alerted to exceptions.
The success of planning is entirely dependent on master and transactional data. Rubbish in results in rubbish out. An inaccurate starting inventory no amount of planning will give you correct resupply. Equally, master data. If your time fence is too short our your procurement lead times inaccurate, your run the risk of stock outs.
How does it work as a process?
At at high level I would describe it like this.
Manufacturing planners create a Master Production Schedule (MPS). This is the plan of the end items that the factory is going to make. The common example is bicycles. The MPS says the factory is going to make 10 bikes per weeks. The bill of materials for each bike says 2 wheels, 2 pedals, 1 sadle etc.
Materials requirements planners are responsible for supplying the components to meet that schedule. It's a two way communication. If the components cannot be supplied on time, then the master production schedule needs to be adjusted.
That's the difference between real planning and the perfect world of theoretical mrp. Things go wrong! Most mrp systems provide tools to help you manage the crises, tools like safety stock planning or shortage reports. These require knowledge and experience to exploit fully.
Take a look in Amazon for books on the subject. There are loads.
I have a copy of Manufacturing Resource Planning - MRP II: Unlocking America's Productivity Potential (Oliver Wight), old but still relevant.
    I hope this helps.
    Good luck,
    Chris
