In SPRO where we need to maintain MRP Relevance for Storage Location?

Dear,
Check transaction OMIR - Storage location - MRP relevance.
In detail:
To control whether a particular storage location will be included or excluded from the MRP run. (MD02/MD41).
To exclude it from MRP run follow the steps:-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.         1 - storage location stock excluded for MRP
To include it from MRP run:-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.      space - storage location stock also planned at plant level and save it
Next go to transaction MM01 - tick only view MRP 2
Key in Plant and Storage Location
Look at the Storage Location MRP section
change the SLoc MRP indicator to space and save it
MMD1 - Create MRP Profile - MRP profile is a useful entry aid and makes it easier to manage MRP data.
You define which fields are filled with values when MRP data is entered in the material master record, which of these values can be overwritten and which not.   You use the information stored in a profile is standard information that is needed again and again in similar constellations when material master records are maintained.

Help required -for MRP Run at storage location level

Hi ,
we need to have separate MRP fro two storage locations with direct procurement from Storage locations. Right now we have MRP run at Plant level for all the storage locations. we donot want the materials in these two storage locations to be planned at Plant level only with Separate storage locations. Plant level MRP will run for the other storage locations .
I have created separate MRP areas for the storage locations & activated MRP for MRP Areas client level. material masters for the two storage locations have been asigned the MRP areas & maintained the MRP area data in material master .
When we run the MD01, the Planned orders are getting created at both MRP areas plus at the Plant level.we donot want the planned orders creation at Plant MRP area level-only at the storage location level for those two storage locations MRP areas.
Can anybody guide me -how to achieve that ? Did we miss any configuration?
I tried to maintain scope of planning & getting error for parallel processing .
Do i need to maintain parallel procesing with servers ?
Pls need your input on this. Any help will be highly appreciated .

     Go to IMG settings 'Materials Management + Consumption-Based Planning + Planning + Define Storage Location MRP per Plant' Enter your Plant, It will show list of storage location in that Plant, then select 2 in 'MRP Indicator' field for storage location for which u want to plan seperately.

APO Consolidation location for Storage Location MRP Area

We are using Storage Location MRP Area .
Our Scenario is like ->
1 Plant -> n MRP AREA -> n Storage Locations
We are using consolidation location determination rule .
But actually we observed SO requirement is appearing at plant level in APO instead of MRP level although stock confirmation is done is MRP Storage location level only .
Things are working fine if we dont use consolidation location rule . We also observed that confirmation sub-item in SO doesnt show confirmed Sub-location for consolidation location . Transportation lanes are also maintained but requirement should pass to MRP location which is actually not happening .

ya GATP check is configured at sublocation level only .
While in case of consolidation location only comfirmed orders are appearing at Plant level .
Also Stock transport requisitions are not getting transfered which is also a pain .

Change MRP type at storage location level

Morning,
i am having trouble with PD and ND reporting. Your you are aware ND should only have balances of 0 and PD should only have balances of >0. When i run a reportto show all PD stock and exclude the positive balances, i am getting MM numbers appearing that are 0 in 1 sLoc but have a positive stock balance in another sLoc. This becomes a problem when i change the PD to ND because it changes at plant level. i only want this to be changed at the sLoc with the 0 stock balance.
I have tried MM06 to flag the MM for deletion at sLoc level however, when running the report again, the sLoc with 0 stock balance still shows.
Also, i have about 800+ that need changing so a solution to do this in a batch would also be appreciated.

RLM MRP execution at storage location

Hello Friends,
Need help - I am configuring RLM with MRP - need help with below:
Requirement: I need to run MRP at the main storage location first (requirement is from Plant Maint order), followed by another MRP run at secondary storage locations. I want to deplete stock in the main storage location before using up stock at secondary storage locations.
This is not for re-order point planning (VB) for both storage locations, I know that I can plan MRP separately at storage location levels, but that only works with re-order point replenishment.
Is MRP area configuration my only option?
If possible I want to avoid MRP area configuration - I hear once it is configured we can revert back!

As per your client requirement, you need to run MRP at Main storage location, and want to avoid performing at storage location, here you can define the supply chain derivation via plant Mainteniance order by using using item category and transport requistion in RLM Configuration. you have option to select the order type order type item category ( ), item category change rule ...( newer change item category) & direct prourement type ( SAP Std ).
Yes MRP Area is the only option, the MRP first as plant level is the option, check in setting ie Step-3 Supply process derivation via plant ( supply type PD).
The parameters for the RLM Supply Process are a combination of the following:
· Material requirements planning (MRP) type at the requesting plant or storage location (the plant making the request for materials)
· MRP type at the supplying plant or storage location (the plant or storage location supplying the material)
· Special procurement type at the demanding plant or storage location.

How to run MRP on different storage location level ?

Dear Experts,
Need your valuable guidance to solve the below requirement form the client-
1) My client want to enter a "safety stock level" for one spare part/ Material on the basis of individual storage locations.
           For sake of example: in SL01 he wants the safety stock for particular material set to 5
                              In FS18 he wants the safety stock set to 2
                              In FS15 he wants the safety stock set to 1
Kindly tell me whether it is possible? & guide me how to do it.
2) Also tell me how to run MRP on a storage location level?
           This is because after maintaining different safety stocks for one material in different storage locations, is it possible to appear each storage location with their differing safety stock levels?
I checked the MRP type maintained & its-1 (plant) & not as- 2 (storage location).
Kindly guide me for the above issue

MRP to ecxlude storage location stock and read only requirement

Hi All,
Below is the requirement for raw material,
Have two storage locations A and B.
For storage location A, MRP should exclude stock but has to consider demand's at A (dependent requirements, order reservations) and create MRP elements (purchase requisitions, scheduling agreements etc.).
SLOC B has to consider as normal for MRP (should read demand and stock as well).
Please suggest if it is doable, if yes; how to set the storage location A, so that it just read the demands but exclude stock.
Setting up only "SLOC Indicator" 1 in MRP 4 view is not the option I believe.

System asking for storage location in case of Asset GR,

dear all,
In our case system is asking for Storage Location in case of Asset GR, though PO was account assigned.
I checked for the screen setting, but not getting any clue where to find that entry to make depressed.

Are u using material code for assets or its a text based purchase, if material code is there (although non valuated / qty managed) it will still require sloc as system needs to store the qty in stock

Use of Vendor and Customer in 'Define Shipping Data for Storage Location"

Under the stock transfer order configuration, there is a IMG step "Define Shipping Data for Storage Location".
In this at storage location level, we can assign, sales org/distribution channel, division and VENDOR and CUSTOMER to storage location.
The customer number is used a sold-to-party in outbound deliveries.
But I am not able to figure out what's the use of VENDOR number we are specifying in this step.
If I am assiging the VENDOR Number here to every storage location, then when I am creating cross-company code Stock transport order, which vendor code I will select the one assigned to PLANT or one Assigned to Storage location.
Also I need to know what vendor account group I will use for creating this storage location vendor. I have more than one storage locations) under one plant. Soif I used account group as "0007" plant, SAP doesn't allow me to assigne one plant code to 2 vendors and in vendor master on 'additional purchasing data' screen I am not seeing storage location field, it has only 'PLANT' field.
So I need to know-
1. Which account group to use for creating storage location vendor
2. What's the ultimaye use of this vendor code
3. What vendor # I will use while creating cross-company PO (one for plant or one for storage location.

Define Shipping Data
Here in this step you maintain the customer number of the receiving plant. This customer number is used in SD shipping processing to identify the goods recipient (ship-to party) if stock transfer to be carried out with an SD delivery
A goods receipt can be planned in the receiving plant.
You can enter a vendor (transport vendor) in the stock transport order
In IMG step "Define Shipping Data for Storage Location".
You can assign sales org/distribution channel, division and VENDOR and CUSTOMER to storage location through Plant only.Means this Vendor is created for entering in the STO .This vendor is created for the the Plant (Supplying Plant)so as u can create STO.

HU Configuration for Storage Location

Hi everyone.
In the following point of config, there is something I do not understand.
I hope somebody can explain it to me.
HU Requirement for Storage Locations and Default Values for Deliveries
Are the Vendor and Customer needed in this table?
If they are, what purpose do they serve? What are they needed for?
And again, if they are, do they represent the Plant? or what?
Should they be created with special characteristics?
I know a lot of questions, But I do not understand.....

Hello Alain,
When you are making the storage location is HU managed, and when you try to execute any IM transactions like stock transfer, transfer posting, system doesn't directly post a material document unlike in regular non HU managed locations.
For example if you try to execute MB1B-311 from HU managed location to non HU location, system tries to create an outbound delivery document. And to create this outbound delivery document you need a customer and this is the place where system gets that customer information. Same is the case for vendor in inbound delivery.
And it doesn't require to create deliveries all the time if you want to execute these inventory transactions. VLMOVE transaction can be used to posting material document without deliveries.. But not all business scenarios will use VLMOVE as it has its own limitations.

Negative stock for storage location M7 021

Hello
I use negative stock for some materials
When I want to post document in MIGO - 551 scrapping, I have error message M7 021: Deficit of BA Unrestricted-use 1.100 EA: 24000641 XXXX 9999 YYYYYYY
This is ERROR. When I change storage location from 9999 to 0002 message have status WARNING.
I set - allowed negative stock in material master data MM02 and for plant in WB02
Where should I set "allowed negative stock" for storage location, because I need warning for location 0002?

Go to SPRO>MM>IM>Goods Issue/Transfer posting>Allow negitive stock allowed for plant and then chose the plant and then go for the storage location --> mark the same.

Problem in Address update for storage location via LSMW

I am trying to update the address of storage location thru LSMW,
Normally when i run OX09 i get the "dialogue structure' in LHS panel but when I do the recording of OX09 in LSMW, I am not getting the "Dialogue structure" LHS panel & hence I can't go to the 'Addressees for storage location'
How to get the ""Dialogue structure" in LHS while recording in LSMW so that I can update the address also.
Currently my recording only takes me to the create storage location & no LHS 'dialogue structure' for 'Addressees for storage location'
Please give the suggestions as I its on urgent for me to update 1000 storage location.
