MRP Shipment day instead requirement day

Good morning, we are implementing MRP and having problems with components since we have scheduling agreements for suppliers and already input the value of 5 days in planned delivery time in MRP2. But at the time or running MRP, the system is not considering this value for requirement of material. Do you know if Iu2019m missing something in order to let suppliers know about the shipment day instead of the requirement day at plant? Thanks!

Dear ,
Kindly compare both Info Record Set up and Material Master  in terms of planned delivery time :
1.You maintain the non-vendor-specific planned delivery time in the material master (view "MRP 2"). You enter a vendor-specific planned delivery time in the purchasing info record or in the outline agreement. It is used in the planning run, if the indicator "Scheduling info record/agreement" in Customizing is maintained as a plant parameter (OPPQ) or MRP group parameter in 'external procurement' and if, in the area of automatic source determination, an individual vendor can be assigned.
If you set this indicator, the system checks whether a planned delivery time is entered in the purchasing info record or in the outline agreement. This planned delivery time is then used to calculate the delivery date and the release date.
2.In case of info record if you maintain the shed info record/agree in the configuration in plant parameters -OPPQ under the tab external procurement, then system will pick the time from Info Record Frist .Or elese it will take the Planned Delievery Time from Material Master .

  • Reg Plan Delivery Date - MRP - Calender Days

    Hi
    This is what i understood
Plnd dely time - Calendar Days [which means including weekends]
GR Processing & Purchase Processing Days - Working Days
    Now, Suppose
    Requirement Date is 06-05-2010.
Plnd dely time - 5 days
    Gr Processing daye = 0
    Purchase Processing Days = 0
When MRP Run and Creates PR with a delivery date 06-05-2010 and PR Release Date = 01.05.2006 [06/05/2010 - 5days]
Which means buyer must convert this PR by 01.05.2006 which is Saturday, which is nonworking day.
There can be a chance that buyer might miss this instances. How do we face these issues
Since Plan delivery date is calendar dates which might push to release dates to weekends, Please suggest

    334,
You can alter any of the 3 durations to meet any of your unique business requirements.
Without knowing why the existing durations have been set the way they are, I can't really answer your question.  If it were me, and the client raised this as an issue, I would probably suggest to the client that he increase the Purchasing processing time to 1 day.
What you do, however, is up to you and the business requirements of your client.

  • How to get MRP elements - quantity received/required

    Hi all
I have a report and I need it to show the quantity received/required for each material in a plant due to MRP execution.
Basically something like MD04 showing each MRP element entry (Deliv., OI-SL, Order, etc) but a sum of quantity received and required
Do anyone knows a function, bapi, or other that can helps calculate this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Sometime ago I were asked to solve a similar problem.
Just try FM 'MD_ABBL_REPORTING', see if this FM meets your requirements.
    Hope it helps!

  • How does the MRP Group determine the Requirement Type

    Hello,
I find in help that the MRP Group or the Strategy Group in the MRP view of the material master record determines what Requirement Type is used.
Could you please tell me in which table / transaction can I find the assignment of Requirement Type to MRP Group? I mean it in case when the Strategy Group has not been maintained.
I will appreciate your help very much.
    Best regards,
    Robert

    Dear,
System will pick the requirement type from strategy group maintained in MRP 3 view of material master, If the strategy group is not maintained, then only system will check the MRP group In MRP1 view and check the strategy group maintained in OPPR
Based on strategy Group- you can find the requirement type In IMG>production> Production Planning >Demand management> Planned Independent requirement -->Planning strategy -->Define strategy , From here you can find the requirement type and requirement class
    and then go to OVZG
if the requirement class have a setting for costing - order costing and costing details, while saving the sale order system will update the cost of goods sold in condition EK02

  • Requirement on perticular day of the week.

    Dear All,
    I have a query,
I have raw material with "VB" consumption base planning.
But i dont want the PR of every day, only on Monday i start the purchase acivity, so PR should be only on MOnday and not any other day.
I need to run MRP every day, which i can not alter for this requirement.
Is it possible to club the requremt of the week, and pr on one perticular day. for all quantity.'
Even if i cud club the week req. but the purchase day is very imp for me.
    Thanks

    Hi,
If you want to Club the entire week requirements use Weekly lot size when you want the PR to be Generated On particular day depends on the planning cycle hence I recomend you to go for Time-Phased Planning Procedure  where  vendor always delivers a material on a particular day of the week, it makes sense to plan this material according to the same cycle, in which it is delivered.

  • Dependent Requirements are falling on Non Working Day

    Hi,
I have my dependent requirements for my ROH material on 15.05.2011 which is a Sunday, Non Working in my Factory Calendar. How is this possible?
    Details are as follows.
ROH A MRP type PD is required for FER B MRP Type X0
ROH for FER as per system reqmtn fall on 15.05.2010 which is Sunday. What is wrong in my settings.

    Nilesh,
Prasobh has already suggested what you should be investigating. Your finished goods Planned order was (presumably) not generated in ERP.  Dependent requirements come from the Planned order.
The Planned order for FER is being generated in an external system (presumably APO, yes?).  The start date for this order, and therefore the dependent requirements, are generated somewhere other than ERP.  Unless you schedule/reschedule this planned order in ERP, the date generated in the external system will be the date that drives the dependent requirements for the lower level.  Regardless of any factory calendars.
I don't know what your external system is. However, before you investigate there, there is one more topic that the other experts haven't asked you, and that is the BOM of your FER material.  Look at the BOM for the parent part that is driving your dependent requirement.  Look at the details of the item that contains the component that is giving you heartburn.  Entries in Lead time offset, Operation LT offset, Distribution key, and Special procurement can have an impact on the dependent requirement date.
If APO is in fact your external system, you should be aware that virtually all of the items mentioned by JH and other experts should be flawlessly replicated in APO, and they have influence over the scheduling of the start dates of the FGs planned orders.  In addition, the same items in ERP can also have an impact if you have set up scheduling (re-scheduling) in ERP.
If you are using APO, I suggest a few things to check:
Transactional Consistency between APO and ERP, and especially any blocked queues
Resource in APO.  Does it match the ERP info?
PPM or PDS.  Does it match your BOM and Routing info?
Factory calendars in APO.  Do they match the ERP calendar?
Any Calendar timestreams in APO.  Are they up to date?
Also, if you are using APO for your FGs, you might want to post this question in one of the APO forums instead of a PP forum.

  • Stock on hand vs stock required from Scheduling agreement from MRP not MD04

    Hi SAP Guru's,
1.Currently on 4.6C and client requires a report to view similar to MD04 with capability of multiple materials and vendors and way of summarizing the future requirements and current receipts?
Right now with MD04 we can see for one material current and future Scheduling aggrements(SA) but does not have a report to tell how many are past due (other than going back to look at SA to view cummulative qty).
2.Curretly MRP PD is using SA aggrements for the semi-finished mateirals for planning and maintaining Safety stock and Goods receipt date in Material master to control the schedules? as system generated SA quantities vary with high differences - for example weekly requirement for material A is 480 parts from Vendor A and Vendor delivers on plaaning cycle Tue and Thurs and daily end of the day 65-85 Production orders are confirmed and backflush happens and then MRP runs but instead of 240 per schedule it is splitting 360 once and 220 etc i mean the quantities are very high fluctations and vendor cannot delivery these variation of quantities ? needs your input where the issue is happening and also client want to use Reorder point Qty instead which is not in use currently.
Appreciates everyone time and your help.

  • Credit Hold and the Passing of Requirements through MRP

We are implementing a new process by which instead of putting a sales order directly on a plant which will do the assembly (and where the production order is created), we putting a process in place where we place a sales order on Plant XXXX, but after MRP runs, the requirements will be passed on to Plant YYYY, where a Production Order will be created.
The issue we have run into is that even though the sales order may fail the credit checks, once MRP is executed the requirements to go create the production order are passed on to Plant YYYY.  We do not want this to happen.  Our goal is to put something in place which will prevent the passing of requirements once MRP is executed UNTIL the sales order has been released from credit hold.
One thing we were thinking of doing was putting a user-exit in place to change the schedule line category from CP to CN to prevent the requirements from being passed on (when the order was on credit hold) and then changing the schedule line category to CP (once it was released from credit hold).  However, this seems very messy to accomplish.  I would think there would be a better way of getting this done, as opposed to changing the schedule line categories on the order.
I have read several threads that discuss using a VOFM routine to satisfy my requirement, but am unclear as to where this would be implemented and how would it prevent the requirements from being passed when MRP is executed.  If anyone can shed some light on this for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Tom,
you can review the note 744305, which contains some hints how to prevent MRP requirements for the credit blocked sales orders.
    Hope, It helps you.
    Best regards,
    Lela

  • How to Run MRP with requirement Plan Number

    Dear all,
I am working for the process of MRP Run .But customer requirement is that "To Run the MRP with requirement Plan Number"
If you are aware of this scenario ,please provide the solution.
    Thanksin Advance

    Go to MD61
Select the Radio Button Rqt Plan Number
Write the plan number eg. "test1"
now you get the next screen
Here you can enter the materials like
    first line Testmat1 -qty 100   150 ....
    2nd line Testmat2 -qty 150    100
    like that
So the difference between MD61 with Material and Rqt Plan number is
Material means we give requirement for only one material
But for Requirment plan number , w.r.t one Rqt Plan number we can maintain requirement for multiple material
same material with same period we can maintain requitement for Different Requirement Plan number
This is reducing effort of client of data entry and for different sales Regions for the same material through "Rqt Plan No" they can differentiate the rqt
MRP run run it for PLANT or multiple plant with Scope of Planning
    thanks
    Pl award points if useful

  • Requirement in regards with MRP

    Hi,
One of our clients has the following requirement -
MRP will be done based on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) i.e. SAP will consider, while MRP, that if an item is repeated 20 times, with qty sum = 43 nos, and its MOQ is 10 nos, then PRN (Purchase Requisition Note) 50 nos will be released.
The client is using SAP 2007 SP01 PL09 and he is ready to upgrade the SAP version to the latest.
I believe that this can be possible, so please let me know, in which version of SAP, is this possible ?

  • MRP - PEGGED REQUIREMENT REPORT

    Hi Gurus
I have a question with regards to Pegged requirement report (MD04) and was told to analyse the up stream and down stream dependencies of a planned order. May i understand where and what is that down and up stream about ?

    Dear Alisonhar,
    Pegged Requirements
You can use the Pegged requirements function to retrace from any BOM level
1.which requirements are the source of which procurement proposals
2.which independent requirements (especially sales orders) are affected if a procurement proposal is cancelled or a date or
quantity is changed on a lower level.
    Features
For the MRP element selected, you can display:
1.just the pegged requirement(s) on the highest BOM level - The system displays the requirements quantity and the input
quantity for each requirement. The input quantity is the portion of the MRP element that is required to cover the displayed
requirement. The input quantity is displayed in the base unit of measure of the material.
2.the order route; that means all the requirements and replenishment elements that lie between the pegged requirement and the
    MRP element
If an MRP element contains a quantity that was not caused by a requirement from a higher level, the system displays this
quantity separately. Quantities without source arise, if more is produced than is required because of a rounding value for the
lot size or a fixed lot size or if procurement proposals have been scheduled manually.
Use MD04/MD09 to access the same.
