MRP suggested dates

Hi,
I would like to know if is possible to do this:
I have an ended product A, composed by a subassembly B, MRP it proposes one
date of completion of B that coincides with the start date of the product A.
I would like to for example insert five days between the completion of B and the beginning of the product A.
At the end, I should get two discrete Jobs with these dates:
Order for A. start date = 06.06.2007
Order for B end date = 01.06.2007
Important, the subassembly B is a special article and I cannot make safety stock. Is it possible to do this?

Pre-processing lead time can be setup for 'Make' items.
But it will not change the requirement date of the component : it will only change the start date of the job because MRP schedule jobs backward from the requirement date. So it does not lead to expected functionality.
Expected functionality sounds like a mixed solution between 'Make-to-order' and 'Make-to-stock with 5 days safety stock'. So, it is not standard => solution that you suggested (dummy operation) seems OK and works .

Change Mrp Element Data of Production Order in MD04

Dear guru ,
In the mrp element data of the stock/requirement list for the production order I see the
Production order number , the order type , and the system add /RE if production order is released or
/PD if production order is partial delivered. No other information about others production order status.
How can I change mrp element data using Customizing or ABAP in order to recognize in MD04 if production order is confirmed or partial confirmed ?

I am not sure if CNF/PCNF will show up in the MRP Element data in MD04.I have checked PO which are also CNF/PCNF and i looked the same order in md04.It is not showing .U may need some ABAP help .
But if you really intersted to see the list PO status together , then go to COOIS and give plant , order type .It will give you all the order under that plant irrespective of material and also Status.U ave lot of option to filter the PO status under Status Profile or System status ok.

MRP area data tables

Hello all,
We want to know the tables where the MRP area data for a storage location is stored. We are looking table which are similar to MDKP and MDTB in which the noraml MRP data is stored. we do not use comsumption planning at the Mrp area level and we have scheduling agreements which go the the mrp area storage location and we get a STO from the storage location to the production storage location. I am looking for data which is displayed in MD06 for the MRP area. Thanks in Advance.

Formulafor Suggested Date of Production

The Suggested Date of Production for Goods Receipt in MB31 is calculated using the formula
Current Date minus Total Shelf Life (in trx MM03 Material Master) plus Minimum Remaining Shelf Life (in trx MM03 Material Master). Can anyone explain the logic behind this formula?

You have ask so many questions in one thread but no problem.
1) Date of Production :- System will not calculate the Date Of Production Automatically , but system will ask you to enter the Production Date manually (or by use of User Exit) at the time of Goods Receipt.
Generally when you are confirming the Goods receipt for Production or Process order system will ask you to enter the Production date though a Pop Up screen.For this you have to first activate the Shelf Life Expiration checks in T.code OPJ5.
2) Shelf Life Expiration Date:- Now this Date will be calculate by the system automatically.For this system will consider the Date of Production (as mention above) and Total Shelf life data maintain in Plant Data 1 of Material Master.
3) Available date (LOBM_MBDAT) :- This is the Date from when Batch is available for production or for Usage.

How to delete MRP view data after create in Material master data ?

After user create a useless MRP view data in Material master data , how to remove it ?

Material master once created cannot be deleted.Only thing u can do is to mark it for deletion
Go to Logistics > Materials management > Material master > Material > Flag for deletion > Immediately.
Give the necessary data that is needed for the view you want to delete.
Press and flag the view you want to delete.
Now the view is flagged for deletion. This means that it's use is limited and it will be cleaned up or really deleted at the next clean up of the system.

MRP SCHEDULING DATES IN R3

Hi guys,
I need to understand How MRP scheduling dates are calculated for <b>external procurement</b>
I understand scheduling date is calculated from the following...
Purchasing processing timePlanned delivery timeGR processing time...
1. What is the default scheduling either backward scheduling or farward scheduling??
2. Where we can set as per our requirement??
3. Delivery date is calculated from individual requirement date?? or It is calculated from MRP running date for all the requirements??
For example the scenario is as follows:
The requirement is for continuourly for 3 days from today i.e.21.09.2007,22.09.2007 and 23.09.07...
Supposing purchasing processing time is 0, Planned delivery time is 10days and GR processing time is 0..
What will be the delivery date of each above requirement???
Can any one throw some idea on this...

MRP suggestions for materials with step association

We needed that the MRP suggests the supplying of the ingredients in the beginning of the steps and not in the beginning of the batch, the question is if OPM Process Planning is able to see step material association, to be able to suggest as we want?

MRP Execution Date

Hi Guys
I run MRP every Friday night and check the MRPlist on Monday. This time MRP run showed execution for FInish good but the component is still showing MRP date of last week.
Can you guys suggest the reason for this or where to look for the same as potentially nothing has changed on master data or setting. If it have then what should I look for?

Do you use a batch job for planning these materials together ? Hope you are using MD01 or MDBT for planning.
There could be quite a few resons why compoenents are not planned.
First check if all technical parameters are correct.
then also make sure there was change in demand for the componenets to reflect it in MRP i.e. there planning file entry was available beofre MRP.
We run a planning file enrty job bere running MRP job through MDAB .
Check these possibilities and revert,

Suggested data file size for Oracle 11

Hi all,
Creating a new system (SolMan 7.1) on AIX 6.1 running Oracle 11.
I have 4 logical volumes for data sized at 100gb each. During the installation I'm being asked to input the size for the data files. The default is "2000mb/2gb" is this acceptable for a system sized like mine, or should I double them to 4gb each? I know the max is 32gb per data file but that seems a bit large to me. Just wanted to know if there was a standard best practice for this, or a formula to use based on system sizing.
I was not able to find any quick suggestions in the Best Practices guide on this unfortunately...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MRP delivery date

Suppose for the material ABC reorder point is 10 and i have stock 10 qty. I got a requiremnt and deliveried the 10 qty available.
Now when runnign MRP with value in the filed create purchase requisition as '2' (i.e create PR in the opening period) whether the system will create planned order or purchase requisition and why.How the system will calculate the delivery date.
Whether we have to delivery date manually or system will propose?

Delivery date is calculated based on the Planned del time entered in the MRP view of the MMR...
RLT - Planned del date + GR processing time + purchasing processing time...
So del. date will be auto. defaulted...
Now the planned order and the PR's will be created 5 and 5 for the indicator '2' with the combination of the procurement indicator for the both(External + internal)..
If you want all 10 PR's to be created from MRP use indicator 1
If you want all 10 to be planned orders from MRP use indi. 3...

Reverse geocoding suggestions data invisible for filename templates and plugins

Reverse geocoding are amazing, saves me a lot of work, but filename template I use seems don't work well with that feature.
With file naming scheme like this: "Country-City-Sequence # (001)" the result is "--001.jpg" instead of "France-Paris-001.jpg" and I have to confirm address for hundreds photos manually to see country and city information in filename.
Same situation in jf PicasaWeb plugin, when using caption scheme like this: "{Country}. {City}. {YYYY}. {Caption}." the result is ". . 2012. Example caption." instead of "France. Paris. 2012. Example caption."
It is possible for Lightroom to use address suggestions in this situations whenever address fields are empty?
Most important for me is to plugins see the address suggestions like normal (hard) data if address fields are empty.

On the face of it, Lr4's implementation of reverse geocoding is excellent, and it is when dealing with images taken at the same location. However, its handling of mixed locations is painful. In my case I use Jeffrey Friedl's plugin. It fully integrates with the Map module and allows you to reverse geocode without the limitations your currently experiencing. Very likely not what you wnated to read, but it does provided a painless solution to the problem you've identified.

MRP : delivery dates

Dear all ,
I am running MRP for Raw material in MD02 , Current stock available is 0 .Lead time is 10 Days
For the Same requirement for 15.04.2009 is 500 and requirement on 20.04.2009 is 400 (in MD61)
In Md02 parameters are : NETCH , 1 , 3 , 1 , 3 & 2 respectively .
Today if i run MRP system is giving Dates : for 1st Pur req is 25.04.2009 & second also Same 25.04.2009
Why ? where for the Second requirement of 20.04.2009 the Dely date should be 20 + 10 days = 30.04.2009 .
Pl guide where i am making mistake

It is not your mistake and the systems mistake too..
What MRP gives is correct.. Your lead time is 10 days... , the material cannot be available in advance for the first date.......as the requirement is released today and the material can be available on 25.4.2009.... . SO the system is urging the requirement on 25.4.2009..It is not for the second date ..It is for the total requirement..
Your doubt will be cleared if you have the first requirement on today..( the del date will be 25.4.2009)
and the second date as 15.5.2009..( for this req,the PR will be raised on 5.5.2009 and the mat will be available on 15.5.2009

MRP - Forecast date not loaded

Hi experts,
In planning production we use a program to generate forecast for one year (weekly period basis). This program uses the BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE function. We are trying to plan this year to febrery until december and we loaded the requirement schedule data, but as a result, we get schedule planning since may until december only.
I tried testing through SE37 the BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE function, but the problem persist, so I have thought there is a problem at customizing, but I have not found where.
I appreciate any idea to help me resolve this issue.

In my system it's creating without any problem, I would suggest you to check the following
1. When you run it in SE37 (I ran it with period indicator = 3 (month, check your indicator)), see if you got the success message for the number of entries in the table RESULT is same as REQUIREMENTS_SCHEDULE_IN
REQUIREMENTS_SCHEDULE_IN           11 Entries
                 Result:           11 Entries
REQUIREMENTS_CHAR_IN               0 Entries
                 Result:           0 Entries
RETURN                             0 Entries
                 Result:           0 Entries
In MD63 check the planning horizon range you're giving to view the table values.
Also see if you're looking at the right version you gave in the SE37

Sales orders with expired dates should not consider in MRP

Hi,
My requirement is that when i m running MRP for sales order for which expiry date has already been lapsed or over.sysyem should not create any mrp elements(Planned order) for such Sales orders.
We have maintained one Z table which gives the validity period(Expiry date) for sales order according to their respective division.
if MRP running date lies after the date of expiry of sales order, system shoul not allow to run MRP for that sales order or it should pop some message while executing MRP run before saving it.
How we can achieve this?

Since as per standard, there is no concept called validity period for sale order and you are maintaining in a zee table, definitely your requirement has to be met with user exit or function module or some enhancements.
Perhaps, you can try with MRP Enhancements
a) LMDR2001 or
b) LMDZU001
to meet your requirement.
