MRP View and Plant parameter

Hi,
  In our one plant, we are not running the MPR , it is use to mfg. of control pannel,  but we dont required the MPR run this,  but the material will be made thorugh production order,  then Finsih material will come in stock  so for this is it necessary to maintian all the MRP view or do the plant parameter settings  or we can skip all MRP view in Material master.

Maintain a MRP1 view and work scheduling View for the production material with out this you can't able to create a production order , In MRP1 view maintain MRP type as ND- No MRP
No need to do any Config related to MRP.

    Hi,
    Material Master will be maintained by MM people. For Spare parts, material type would be ERSA. Maintain the MRP type for Reorder Point Planning in MRP1 view of Material Master & Reorder Point Qty in MRP1 view.
    While running MRP, spare parts also will be planned.

  • Difference between MRP group and plant parameters

    hai friends,
    please let me know, what is the main difference between the MRP group and plant parameters?,
    what are the extra activities or features with one, when compare to the other?.
    Edited by: Mourya.v on Sep 22, 2010 6:36 AM

    Dear Mourya,
    Why to assign MRP group? - If planning for each plant is not specific enough for your purposes and you would like to assign
    control parameters that differ from the control parameters defined for the plant to certain material groups.
    1.For all materials without an MRP group, the system uses the plant parameters that is the settings present in OPPQ, or the
    entries in the initial screen of the planning run.
    2.For all materials with an MRP group, the system uses the parameters recorded in the MRP group that is the settings in OPPR.
    3.The MRP group is an organizational object that can be used to allocate special control parameters for planning to a group of
    materials. You can maintain MRP groups if planning control per plant is not precise enough for your requirements and you want
    to allocate certain material groups different control parameters from the plant parameters. For this purpose, MRP groups are
    defined with these specific control parameters and are assigned to the material in the material master record (MRP 1 screen).
    4.The MRP group, groups material from the material requirements planning point of view to allocate them control parameters for
    planning.The control parameters include the strategy group, the planning horizon and the creation indicator for the planning run.

  • Different stock between Acount view and Plant stock in MM03

    Hello Experts,
    In MM03 Acount view,  I found the Total stock is 1, but in plant stock view, I found the stock is Zero.
    There is not really any physcial invnetory so it must be a problem on the report.
    And on mm03 that it was only on the finacial view screen that stock showed, it does not show on the normal stock screens.
    What cause this difference? and How to clear the stock from the financial view?
    Thanks

    Hi
    Please run MB5K for the problem material. If it shows difference, then there might be inconsistency between accounting stock and plant(storage location) stock. If that is the case, physical inventory can't help. The correction(direct table update) is necessary and can only be done by SAP.
    Hope the information helps.

  • MRP Views Settings

    Dear Friends
    To run Forecast based MRp for a Finished product i need the Following Settings
    1) MRP views settings for Finished product and their BOM raw materials
    2) where have to enter the Forecast values
    3)How to Run MRP- basic settings
    what are pre step before run MRP.
    It would be very helpful if u respond quickly, i have to implement in 2 days.
    thanks
    Shivani

    Hi Shivani,
    I think you are talking about consumption based planning.
    Following are the Pre Requisites before running MRP
    u2022Define MRP types
    Path: SPRO u2013 IMG u2013 MM u2013 Consumption based planning u2013 Master data u2013 MRP Types
    This will determine the MRP procedures, forecast usage and select automatic calculation of either safety stock / re-order  point
    u2022Define MRP areas
    Path: SPRO u2013 IMG u2013 MM u2013 Consumption based planning u2013 Master data u2013 MRP Areas u2013 Define MRP areas
    We define this for combination of plant, SLoc and Vendor.
    Note: MRP area and plant must be the same.
    u2022Maintain MRP relevant data at Plant/SLoc level using TCode MM01
    - MRP 1, MRP 2 and MRP 3 are for plant level data:
       You need to maintain here the MRP type, forecast model and the period indicator.
       In MRP1, you can maintain the Re-Order point and Lot Size
       In MRP2, you can maintain Safety stock and planned delivery time parameters.
    - MRP 4 is for SLoc level data.
    u2022 Create MRP profiles (using Tcode MMD1)
      Using this, you can maintain general parameters for materials. The MRP parameters defined here will be independent of the
      material master.
    u2022 Set material status for cross site / plant in material master.
      Material status for Cross site will be assigned in the u2018Basic datau201D view whereas Material status for u201CPlantu201D will be assigned in
      MRP 1 view.
    After having all these pre-requisites maintained, you can run the MRP as Single Item or Multi Level.  Check TCode MD01 / MD02 / MD03 / MD04
    Hope this helps you.
    Let me know if you need anything further.
    Regards,
    Nikita

  • MRP view in material master creation

    Hi Guys,
    Can anyone tell me how to change the settings for field dependency. My requirement is to use only the filed for "reorder point" in MRP view and do not enter any other data like MRP type or lot sizing etc.
    I have tried changing the setting for field selection group for MRP type etc but whenever i enter the value in Reorder point field it asks me for MRP type and does not allow me proceed...
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Siddharth

    Hi
    You cannot change that dependency as it is done through program code and not thru config.
    If you want reorder point only as an info field and not for actual Reorder point planning, I suggest you to explore any other unused information field in the masterial master.
    You can also use classification
    Best regards

  • MRP view maintenance for Material Master

    What is the basic entry for R3 material master, if, I want EBP below condition works:
    Stock in R/3 sufficient: Shopping Carts creates MatReservation.
    Stock in R/3 not sufficient: Shopping Cart still creates MatReservation, and when run MRP (in R/3), it gives Purchase Requisition, with the exact shortage qty.
    Info: We have set customizing in EBP so that every follow-on document for Shopping Cart will be Reservation.
    -Mimi-

    In R/3  , the material should have MRP view and all planning related settings ...
    wr u want to go for consumption based planning or deterministic planning .
    Based on the planning procedure setting in MRP views of the R/3 sytem , PRs will get generated.
    This is what u are looking for .. otherwise post your feedback...

  • MRP without MRP views

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to carry out MRP, without maintaining MRP views and Planning file entries (Manual) for a material?, Please explain!!
    Thanks and Regards,
    Suresh.

    Hi,
    Is it not possible to rum MRP without MRP views extended for the materials.
    For running MRP system requires some key parameters like :
    Procurement Type
    Lot Size
    Rounding Profiles
    Reorder level / point
    MRP Type
    MRP Group
    ..........etc
    As all these fields are available in MRP views only it is not possible to run MRP without extending MRP views for the Materials.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Plannning Material and Plant for MRP Run

    Hi,
    If I have a material (01) extended on 2 plants, on one plant (A) we have production and planning/MRP + stock and on the other one (B), just stocking and transfer. B's requirements are to be entered and planned at A. I also want stock at B to be considered with stock at A when MRP runs at A. In the material master, I have some settings. I want to know if these would be any good:
    Material 01 on Plant A:
    MRP PD
    Strategy 40
    Lot size EX
    Coverage profile applied
    Material 01 on Plant B:
    MRP ND/PD tried both
    Strategy 40
    Lot size EX
    Coverage profile applied (same)
    Planning material: Material 01 itself
    Planning plant: Plant A
    I particularly want to know about points 5 and 6. Will they make any difference if I run MRP on scope of planning(all plants) or just plant A? Will stock at B be considered? What difference does that setting make in my case? Please help!
    Thanks!

    No sales on Plant A. Only transfers and STO's. Stock is STO'd to Plant B (and other Plants, as well)
    Plant B sells the stock.
    Yes, I want to load the forecast in Plant A (COPA to SOP to DM to MRP). What do I do in this case?
    I tried another case, as well. In that I put a special procurement on the material in Plant B view and marked it as external procurement. (the planning material and plant were there, didn't remove)
    Then I entered the forecast in both plants separately (PIRs for both Plants) The requirements from Plant B made STPO Planned orders in Plant B and STCK Planned orders in Plant A. I am using coverage profiles (period is month, standard length 25 days, target 10 days for 1st period for 2 months, target 10 days for 2nd period  for 1 month, target 10 days for the rest of the horizon) Not using any consumption modes.
    The results I am getting don't make sense to me. I have attached screen shots for both plants MD04 and the MRP + work scheduling views

  • Way to know when and who ran the MRP for a plant

    Hi,
    Is there a way to find when and who ran the MRP for a plant in Prodn Environment? I know if you look at MD05, we know the MRP list based on date/time of last MRP run. But it does not tell me who ran the MRP.
    Currently there are some purchase reqs getting created by the system and we want to find who ran the MRP and what was their selection screen data. Please can anyone help to provide some info on this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • JSP, View Object and ? parameter

    I have a view object that uses a ? type parameter in its query. The use ? type parameter checkbox has been marked in the view and the view compiles successfully.
    Now this view is being used by the Data Web bean JS Tree Browser in a JSP page.
    The JSP code
    <jsp:useBean class="oracle.jbo.html.databeans.JSTreeBrowser" id="roleMenuTree" scope="request" >
    <%
    roleMenuTree.setDepthLevel(6);
    roleMenuTree.setReleaseApplicationResources(false);
    roleMenuTree.setDisplayAttributes("Name");
    roleMenuTree.initialize(pageContext,"Tasksys_TasksysAppModule.MenuTreeView");
    Object x[] = new Object[1];
    x[0] = "tasksys";
    roleMenuTree.getRowSet().getViewObject().setWhereClauseParams(x);
    roleMenuTree.getRowSet().getViewObject().executeQuery();
    roleMenuTree.render();
    %>
    </jsp:useBean>
    But I end up getting the following error. WHY ?
    Error: 500
    Location: /tasksys/jsp/login_submit.jsp
    Internal Servlet Error:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation. Statement: SELECT Menus.ID, Menus.NAME, Menus.DESCRIPTION, Menus.MODULE, Menus.MEN_ID FROM MENUS Menus WHERE menu_allowed(?, to_char(id)) = 'Yes'
    void org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse)
    void javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(javax.servlet.ServletRequest, javax.servlet.ServletResponse)
    void org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.doService(org.apache.tomcat.core.Request, org.apache.tomcat.core.Response)
    void org.apache.tomcat.core.Handler.service(org.apache.tomcat.core.Request, org.apache.tomcat.core.Response)
    void org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.service(org.apache.tomcat.core.Request, org.apache.tomcat.core.Response)
    void org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.internalService(org.apache.tomcat.core.Request, org.apache.tomcat.core.Response)
    void org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.service(org.apache.tomcat.core.Request, org.apache.tomcat.core.Response)
    void org.apache.tomcat.service.http.HttpConnectionHandler.processConnection(org.apache.tomcat.service.TcpConnection, java.lang.Object[])
    void org.apache.tomcat.service.TcpWorkerThread.runIt(java.lang.Object[])
    void org.apache.tomcat.util.ThreadPool$ControlRunnable.run()
    void java.lang.Thread.run()
    null

    You need to prepare the query using the setWhereClauseParams(x) call, before you initialize your data web bean. Otherwise, if you call the methods after you initialize your web bean, the context has already been set and the error occurs.
    You should insert another data web bean into your page somewhere at the top and use it to setup your query and create a view object. You should remove this bean's Render() method since you are only interested in the Initialize() method here. Add your code to prepare the query and create the view object.
    Then when your JS Tree Browser executes, it will be able to call getRowSet() on the View Object you created already.

  • How to change the parameter 'Default Servers To Use For Viewing And Modification' using java api dynamically.

    Hi,
    I need to change the Crystal Reports setting 'Default Servers To Use For Viewing And Modification' to a particular server.this i need to do using java api.
    could you pls provide me the sample code for this.
    Regards
    Srinivas

    The IReport interface extends IViewingServerGroupInfo interface, that allows you to specify the server group.
    The choice selection for that interface is as follows:  0 = first available, 1 = prefer the selected server group, and 2 =  only use the selected server group.
    The server group selection is by the SI_ID for that server group InfoObject.

  • MRP view maintenance

    Hi All,
    I have developed a programme to uplaod MRP views for huge number of materials across Plants.
    There are few material for which one strange thing is observed
    1. Material A plant 1-MSTA -D not mantained, but the same is there in MM01
    2..MaterialA plant 2-MSTA-D maintained and its maintained in MM01.
    Is MRP maintained on the basis of Plant or Storage location or both...because my programme is looking at material plant combination level and uploading the MRP as per maintenance status maintained in table MSTA.
    But in above case, it gave an error probably  because for one storage location MRP was maintained  and for other not...
    Can you all throw some light on this....
    Regards,
    Satyendra

    One thing i missed...there are few plants for which above things are appearing for all the materials...
    i.e MRP view maintained in MM03 but for the same materials MSTA doesnt have D status for those plants..

    Shailesh

    reorder point,  MINBE
    mrp controller, DISPO
    lot size , DISLS
    maximum stock level MABST

    Hi ,
    I think u will not all these fields in MM60 report.
    All these fields u will get in MARC TABLE,go to se16.give MARC table.In the initial screen,go to settings list format- chosse fields-select all the fileds which u want and enter.
    Then in the initial screen,give plant X and execute.
    U can download all these details to excel sheet and can be used for lsmw.
