MRP Vs Aspen Tech MIMI
Hi Team,
My client is using Aspen Tech MIMI for their business. I don't know about the planning software. Anyone has any idea about this third party planning software and comparison of it with the MRP?
Thanks for your help.

~Can't open "noname" MIME files in Gmail~
I've searched for this topic, but can't understand all the tech-speak! I'm in my 20s, so I'm not dumb, just not in the loop. Someone break this down for me in layman's terms.
I use Gmail for my primary email. Lately, I've been getting attachments from family members who use PCs. These attachments are always called "noname." When I hit "download," I get a message saying that it is a MIME message and asking what application I should open it with. I always get a bunch of nonsense no matter what I open it with! It looks like it's trying to be HTML, but opening it with Firefox doesn't work. Neither does opening it with the StuffIt Expander.
Even when I hit "View as text," it doesn't make any sense. I'll paste a copy below. Can someone please tell me what application to open up MIME files in?
This is only part of the message because it was too long to post. Here we go.... close your eyes!!

It sounds like gmail has serious problems with MIME data. That isn't something it should have trouble with. It has been solved for a long, long time now.
Even when I hit "View as text," it doesn't make any sense. I'll paste a copy below. Can someone please tell me what application to open up MIME files in?
Ordinarily, your e-mail program.
I have a program I used to sell years ago when people started sending MIME e-mail messages that AOL couldn't understand. Perhaps I should update it if all the world is switching to gmail and gmail doesn't handle MIME either. 1996 is here again.
Anyway, click here to download it.
Technically this is a shareware program and technically I could make money from it. But very few people need this program anymore and it should work just fine for you in "demo" mode. -
Problem about Calling SQLplus Web Service on Aspen Watch Server
Hi all,
We're using MII 11.5 and trying to call a web service from a Aspen Watch server through the web service block in transaction. The web service enclosed a function call ExecuteSQL which will accept a sql query function and return a set of Data. Now, using the same web service on two different servers, we got a success(server A) and a failure(Server B). On the failed call, right in the first page of enter a URL, it will return a "SOAP Service could not be loaded: The element type 'META' must be terminated by the machine end-tag '</META>'" error.
According to the admin of the web server, the web service on both servers can be called correctly when he created two simple ASP pages. After serious testing, he thought that the only reason should be MII may not be compatible with .Net 2.0 binding web service. The following is some comparison we made to the two servers.
Server A / Server B / Error, if applicable
.Net Framework installed on MII server: 1.1, 2.0 / 1.1, 2.0
.Net Binding: 1.1 / 2.0
IIS version on MII server: 6 / 6
From MII server broser to Server A web service: Yes / Yes
From MII server browser to Server B web service: No / No / Return on web "The test form is only available for requests from the local machine"
From localhost browser to Server A web service: n/a // Yes
From localhost browser to Server B web service: Yes // n/a
From PC browser to Server B web service: No / Yes / Return on web "The test form is only available for requests from the local machine"
Credentials required to run web service: No / Yes /
The following are the SOAP generated:

Access MIME from ABAP Mapping for Attachment
Hi,
I am adding an attachment in ABAP Mapping and sending that message to Ariba System through HTTP Adapter channel.
I am able to send the message successfully and also I can see the attachment in the PI RWB But I am not able to see any
attachment in the Receiver's end along with the message.Ariba is able to receive the message successfully though.
It looks like I need to change MIME Header a bit before sending the message.
I check this link.
XI Attachment and main document MIME sequence
But Its about SOAP Adapter with PayloadSwap Bean. Since HTTP adapter is on ABAP we can not use the Module
Tab of the channel.
I need to know how can I use ABAP Mapping to access the MIME HEADER to change/ check Content Disposition and
other properties.
Thanks,
Vijay

Mime attachments in Mail from two mac users
I've been receiving mime attachments in Tiger Mail from Ebay and members for a while and I've searched the forum for answers but haven't found a viable solution yet. I end up using TextEdit to open them. I've contacted ebay about this and they have no clue, and think it's spam even though I tell them I get them from Ebay tech support, however they do show up ok in my RCN webmail when I check there.
Anyway that's not the problem now, I was trying to troubleshoot my father's mail problem who is Panther Mail and it mysteriously stopped working for him a couple days ago both sending and receiving. However he is getting them from his webmail at SBC/Yahoo formerly Ameritech. I checked his account settings over the phone and they seemed correct to what he had before but I had him contact his provider.
They don't seem to know what's going on and wanted him to contact Apple.I had him contact them again and they finally did have him change his outgoing mail server from Ameritech to SBC/Yahoo. So he is able to send from there now but not receive emails. ( he still still sends and receives ok at his webmail site) . Since they changed the outgoing mail server however, the email he sends me (all plain text) is coming now as a mime attachment.
I've never seen this before from two Mac users using Mail and plain messages. I had him try changing back to the Ameritech outgoing sever but that still doesn't work. And again if I check my RCN webmail I can view these messages fine in the body of the email there, just not in Mail. Any ideas what may have caused this? Is it because of the Yahoo outgoing mail server? He's about givin up and has resorted to his webmail only for now. I generally like Mail but this is a pia.

IMac intel -can't install flash9 -MIME problem?
I was trying to print some cards from designhergals.com and I
was prompted to get the newest version of flash. I downloaded it
but when it installed and opened up I got this message that the
page has content of MIME type "application/x-shockwave-flash" a
plug in and directs me to adobe to find this plug in. No one at
adobe seems to know what this is-nor did the person I spent an hour
with a apple support.
I now have no flash-despite trying even to download archived
flash versions. I have reinstalled both safari and foxfire,
restarted my computer many times, reinstalled flash and unistalled
flash.
I am at my wits end, Apple says this is a adobe problem,
adobe says they don't offer support on this,
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

So frustrating-and i've spent hours on this! any one out
there- please help!
Well it's unfortunate that you've put that much time into
this.
It sounds like you talked to phone support here at Adobe?
That makes no sense, because there is no phone support available
for Flash Player (and when there's no phone support, no phone
agents are trained to troubleshoot the problems! So that's a recipe
for a bad experience..)
If you did have a phone case, and have a case number please
let me know what that case number is.
The reason you cannot find the documentation on this issue is
because we are still in the process of finishing it. It will become
a part of this technote very soon:
"Flash Player 9 installation fails on Macintosh" (
http://www.adobe.com/go/4aa64290)
The root of the problem is a permission issue in OS X
involving Flash Player. The steps in the existing technote are not
entirely accurate, and we're working to fix that (and we have
written about it fairly extensively on this forum...)
In most cases, running Permission Repair will resolve the
problem. This will be the first troubleshooting step in the revised
technote when it's done. To learn about permissions and how to run
permission repair, I recommend reading this Apple tech doc:

MRP view maintenance for Material Master
What is the basic entry for R3 material master, if, I want EBP below condition works:
Stock in R/3 sufficient: Shopping Carts creates MatReservation.
Stock in R/3 not sufficient: Shopping Cart still creates MatReservation, and when run MRP (in R/3), it gives Purchase Requisition, with the exact shortage qty.
Info: We have set customizing in EBP so that every follow-on document for Shopping Cart will be Reservation.
-Mimi-In R/3 , the material should have MRP view and all planning related settings ...
wr u want to go for consumption based planning or deterministic planning .
Based on the planning procedure setting in MRP views of the R/3 sytem , PRs will get generated.
This is what u are looking for .. otherwise post your feedback...

Upgrade to WAS 6.4 and SPAU on MIMEs
Hi,
We've upgraded our WAS to 6.4 and we have some SPAU, which we need to clean up. A major part is taken by MIMEs for some reason.
We get this hex value and we can't view the actual gif, so we don't know which action to take.
Does anyone know how we can see what the mime (gifs) look like?
Many thanks

Can I distribute s/mime certificates to MDM managed users via Mavericks Server?
We have a private CA and right now users have to share S/MIME certificates with others manually. Is is possible to embed these certs into each user in Address Book, or distribute them some other way using Mavericks Server?
Couldn't fix the problem. Had to attach another external storage drive to each computer to use for backup, then erase and rename the TimeCapsule hard drive via Airport utility as well as the second hard drive in the MacMini Server via Disk Utility. I removed both the Time Capsule drive and the second internal hard drive from the "Settings" pane in the "Time Machine" section of Server.
I still have no idea of what went wrong or if the problem will happen again. It may have been a corrupted file on the backup drives. It may have been Tech Tool Pro or Adode Creative Cloud updater, who knows. But for now, it is working as anticipated. The iMac clients and the MacMini Server are all backed up to the Time Capsule as well as the Mac Mini Server's second internal drive.
I sure wish there were better documentation available for using Server to manage Time Machine backups! -

What I observed after going through logs was
its looking for /SLOTS/slot06/oracle/AS_10gR2_MID/wallet1 but I set
/SLOTS/slot06/oracle/AS_10gR2_MID/ewallet.p12
Why its looking for non-existing file....?

Labview Drivers for an Integral Tech Framegrabber
My company is interested in purchasing a video inspection system that
uses the following frame grabber:
http://www.integraltech.com/art/downloaded%20from%20current%20site/fbmv/documents/fbmvlitespecsheet.pdf
Integral Tech does not make Labview drivers for this card.
Would there be a way to get these written, or would that be cost
prohibitive ?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Rick B.
Email: Use Yahoo instead.Hi Rick,
I'm not really sure whether this is what you're thinking of but...
Since INTEGRALTECH provides a VFW driver for their frame grabber you could,
e.g., use this tool from aNI server:
http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/com.quiq.servlet.GetObject/lv_vfw.zip?KEY=101
..97.12134.14&SIG=101.97.12134.14&EXT=mime:application/x-zip-compressed
It works very well but, like any VfW based application, has the disadvantage
of being able to read out only one camera at time. If you plan to use
multiple frame grabbers simultaneously you have to find a different
solution.
It should also be possible to call the DLLs INTEGRALTECH provides from
LabView.
Best regards
Arno

Order of delivery schedule line counter at schedule agreements from MRP run
Currently we are using schedule agreements for our long term external suppliers, but we are facing a problem with the order of new delivery schedule lines created during MRP run.
Because of master data settings like, lot size, rounding value, plan delivery time and planning time fence to set as firm new requirements, multiple schedule lines are created with no order for schedule line counter.
Does anyone is aware of a BADI, user exit or customizing control to have this schedule line counter in order?
Thank you

MRP - Auto creation of del schedule lines based on planned delivery time
Hi,
We have activated MRP (type PD) where Purchase requiesition is auto created by system for requirement quantity. We require to optimize delivery schedule in such a way that entire PR quantity is broken into various delivery schedule based on planned delivery time and requirement. Scenario can be further explained with following example.
Material Requirement for a month is say 1,25,000 units
Closing Stock say 25,000 units
PR Generated by system for 1,00,000 units. The entire quantity is schdulled with only one delivery schedule line as per planned delivery time.
The requirement is to generate multiple delivery schedule lines automatically in Purchase requisition based on planned delivery time so that Purchase orders can be placed with system generated delivery schedule lines.
How can it be achieved ?
Regards,
Nirav KinkhabwalaNirav,
This subject has been discussed repeatedly in this and other forums. I must assume that you overlooked the rules of engagement, which state that you should first search the forums and other public sites, before posting questions here.
Standard SAP MRP cannot be made to generate multiple items in a Purchase requisition. The functionality you seek is usually achieved when converting purchase reqs to Purchase orders, where many single purchase reqs can be adopted into a single Purchase order.
You also might want to investigate use of Vendor Scheduling agreements.

MRP To Generate SCHEDULE LINES for Scheduling Agreement
Hi
I have followed the below steps but still the Schedule lines is not generated for scheduling agreement.
1Maintain MRP views 1,2,3,4 for the material in material mste.(MM01)
2. Maintain Purchase Info Record for the vendor plant & material combination.(ME11)
3. Create Scheduling agreement using ME31L
4. Maintain source list for the material & the scheduling agreement # and Line item set the MRP relevant indicator 2 (Necessary ?) ME01
During Run MRP for the material.the below details entered///
Processing key NETCH Net Change in Total Horizon
Create purchase req. 1 Purchase requisitions in opening period
Schedule lines 3 Schedule lines
Create MRP list 1 MRP list
Planning mode 1 Determination of Basic Dates for Planned
Run MDBT or MD02 but still doesn't create the schedule lines......Anything else missing.
MRP1:
MRP Procedure: PD
MRP Group: 0000 (External Procurement only)
Lot Size: EX (Lot For Lot)
MRP2:
Procurement Type: F
Sched Margin Key: 000
MRP3:
Avilablity chec: 02 (Individual requirement)
MRP: 4
NilRaj,
Source List a Mandatory for Scheduling Agreement, if you want to create automatic Scheduling line.
Plz use (2) in MRP RELEVENT tab in ME01 (Source List).
rest of the thing is ok, make sure a material master(MRP 2 VIEW) in that view you have to give a planed delivery days. it is must.
HOPE IT WILL WORK

Schedule lines are not getting generated through MRP
Hello Experts,
While running MRP, we observed that the system is creating PR instead of schedule lines, although all the necessary prerequistes to generate schedule lines through MRP are maintained. For e.g.
1. MRP Schedule line relevant indicator '2' is maintained in the Source List.
2. Sch. Agreement dates and Source List validity dates are same.etc...
Further after some analysis, we observed that if we change the source list validity from date to some back date then system is creating correct schedule lines.
Example: Material M1; Planned delivery time 7 days; GR processing time 5 days; MRP Type PD; Lot Size WB;
SA validity dates - 07.09.2011 to 31.12.2011
Source List validity dates - 07.09.2011 to 31.12.2011
If MRP run on 12.09.2011 and source list dates are retain same as mentioned above, system creates the PR.
If MRP run on 12.09.2011 and source list dates changes to 05.09.2011 to 31.12.2011, system creates the schedule lines.
Could you please let us know, why the system behave like this?Dear,
Welcome to SDN,
In transaction OMDT you have to enable the indicator create schedule lines
In MD02 MRP control Prameter here select the Delivery schedules -3- Schedule line. Processing Key as NETCH and Planning Mode - 3 delted and recreated.
Maintain source list ME01, in that put MRP indicator as '2' i.e. schedule lines via MRP.Put your agreement no in that.
If u run MRP properly u will get schedule lines automatically in ME38.
Make the schedule agreement, make it source relevent in the source list make is FIX and MRP indicator as 3.
