MS exchange account on my iPhone and iPad doesn't capture sent mail when sent from iPhone or iPad! Everyting else seems to work fine. Can someone pleasse help?

iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.

My iPad has been stolen. Someone broke into my house on Tuesday. I have already tried locking it through icloud. I have reported this to the authorities but they cannot do much unless I give them the serial number to the iPad. With the serial number they can put it into a database and send that inormation to pawn shops, so i the theie tries to pawn it, the pawn shop employeee can convscate the iPad and hand it over to the authorites. I need the serial number to report it to the authorities. I dont have the box it came in or the receipt and its not on my itunes on the computer because I didnt use it or music, just pictures. Can someone please help??? btw, some words are misspelled becasue the letter that comes ater the letter E, doesnt work on my keybord.

I would to a Restore. Select the iPod in iTunes. Go to the Summary tab for the iPod. There is a button there to do a Restore. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. After Restore complete, try playing songs on the iPod again.
If THAT does not fix the problem, and it's not bad headphones (since you also tried the "speaker"), there is probably a hardware problem on the iPod. All 7th gen nanos are still under warranty. If you have an Apple Store nearby, you should take it to the store's Genius Bar. To minimize waiting, you can make a reservation on store's web page.

Have you tried another set of earphones? Maybe they are the problem?

Well, if you updated to 8.2, then you are living in a different world than the rest of us. 8.1 was just released on Monday.
Do you not have an iCloud or iTunes backup that you can restore to? Have you not been importing your photos to a photo library on your computer?
Maybe you could start from the beginning and we can see if we can help. If you had to restore your device, and you have absolutely no backups, then, I'm afraid you are out of luck. However, if you have backups, or if you have been importing your photos on a regular basis, then probably most of your stuff can be recovered.

If you're talking about stopping music purchased from the iTunes store automatically downloading to your iPad, go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and under Automatic Downloads and turn Music to Off. If your talking about syncing with iTunes, just uncheck Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings before syncing your iPad.

Under whose Apple ID were the apps that you are referring to purchased? If they are displaying her Apple ID and asking for her password when you are trying to update them, then that means they were purchased under her ID. They will continue to do that unless you delete them and purchase them again under your own Apple ID.

HHi, My grandson was having a problem with his iPhone 5s so I said I will sort it, being a clever dick I wiped it and installed iOS 8.1.1 but now it asks for activation that I used with Apple id, I put in Apple id and password that was used but it says you can not use that email address. He bought the phone from new but can't remember any other email addresses or passwords, I feel as if it's my fault, can anybody please help me, I think iCloud was setup in case he lost the phone, but like all youngsters they can't remember anything, please help as he is so upset.

I used Migration Assistant to transfer my iTunes from pc to mac. Everything seemed to work fine and it took 15 hours and said that it was successful, but I cannot find my music on my mac?

System Preferences/Users & Groups shows you the various user accounts you have.
Look at your hard drive in the Finder sidebar. You should see Applications, Library, System, and Users. If you look in Users you will see a Shared folder. From the user Migration Assistant created, find the iTunes folder and drag it to Shared. Log out and log in using your normal user account, go to the same place and copy it to Music in your normal user account. Another option is to leave it in shared so any user can access it. You will have to tell iTunes where to find the music by going to iTunes/Preferences/Advanced.

I have an Imac. When I click to open google maps a permeable but dark screen covers my monitor screen and I get a note that tells me to shut down the computer and restart it. This hasn't helped. Everything else seems to work fine.

When I attempt to open google maps in Firefox on my Imac, a dark screens descends over my monitor screen and a note tells me there's been an error, no number is noted, and that I need to turn off and restart my computer. This doesn't help, but everything else works, including google maps in other browsers.

This is a kernel panic.
First verify that Firefox is fully updated including all extensions.
If this fails to fix....
Restart in Safe Boot mode then open Firefox.
* shutdown
* start the Mac and *wait* for the startup chime to sound
* after the sound, press and hold down the shift key
* keep holding and *wait* until the grey  Apple logo appears
* now release the shift key and just wait (it could take a few minutes)
* eventually the login screen appears with the words SAFE BOOT
* login and open Firefox.

It is ⌃⌥⌘ 8 if your Keyboard Shortcut are set to default.
The System Preference location depends on what OS X you are running..?
For Snow Leopard and earlier, use or go to System Preferences > Universal Access and select Black on white.
For Mountain Lion and later, go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Display and uncheck Invert colors.
