MS Exchange ActiveSync not pushing!

Hey all, my exchange mail won't push new messages. It was working fine and all of a sudden stopping pushing. I've had this problem for many months now, starting with my 3GS. I've since upgraded to 4 and the issue persists. Colleagues with iPhones are able to receive their mail from the same server (Exchange 2003), so I don't think it's an IT problem. All settings are set to "push," and I've deleted and readded the account, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any help?

It's not just you!
When I upgraded from 3 to OS4 on my 3GS, everything was perfect. I then switched to me new iPhone 4. Email worked perfect for a few days but looks like its been down all weekend. My Exchange is hosted directly with Microsoft Online Services. I called them and they have no suggestions...

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync not working in Mobile Network – Blackberry Z10
I have set-up office email account in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync this work only over office Wi-Fi not working outside of office Wi-Fi range. When I back to office all new e-mail loaded automatically. I have no problem with yahoo email setup in the same Z10 hand set work in both Wi-Fi and Mobile network. I have data plan with my carrier. Both emails were working in my previous Blackberry hand set Bold 9900. But with this New Z10 this become a problem
What could a the problem and I need help please

The URL you provided https://... does require SSL as it has a "s".
Have you tested the server OMA setup with a notebook or desktop (https://webmail.domain.com/OMA)?
You should receive a login prompt for username & password following by an Inbox listing of messages.
We used this step to verify server setup before configuring an iPhone. Lastly, we made certain that connectivity would work from outside or within our company by doing the following:
    1) created A record for webmail.domain.com to a public IP that route through the firewall on 443 to the Exchange server's private IP - this handles external traffice
    2) added an internal DNS record for webmail.domain.com to the private IP of the Exchange server.
This ensures that webmail.domain.com sync's to exchange from outside or from within the Enterprise.

  • Versamail Exchange ActiveSync wireless push e-mail ONLY; Sync Contacts/Calendar via Desktop/USB

I use a 3rd party conduit, PalmPilot Link for Commence RM CRM software from Commence Corp. which works with the Palm Desktop sync engine to sync my Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Memos. Recently I tested VersaMail 3.5.5 on my Rogers Treo 680 (despite zero support from Rogers) with push e-mail and loved it until I discovered I could no longer sync my Contacts and Calendar with Commence. Even with the options in VersaMail to sync Contacts and the Calendar unchecked they would not sync via the USB cable to Commence.
I have come across Palm Article ID: 42600 which states "Once you establish an Exchange ActiveSync account in VersaMail, you will not be able to sync Calendar, Contacts or Email through the USB HotSync cable". It would be nice if this wasn't the case when synching of Contacts and the Calendar are turned off. A call to technical support confirmed there is no way to do what I need with the current product version.
I have found a competitive product, RoadSync from DataViz does allow me to sync ONLY e-mail with ActiveSync so it would seem to be technically possible.  The problem with RoadSync is it's not a true push e-mail on the Treo 680 as far as I can tell and it seems a little pricey with fewer features than VersaMail, except for one feature which is very important to anyone who depends on 3rd party conduits.
Please consider releasing a new version or a patch to allow synching Contacts and the Calendar via USB while using Exchange ActiveSync push e-mail.
Note: The Commence CRM product for Windows has been around for almost 20 years and has supported the Palm OS for about 10 years. Commence users everywhere would love this feature in VersaMail. I do not work for Commence Corp. but have been a user since 1991 and a Palm user since 1999.

  • SBS 2003 R2 premium (with ISA 2004) Exchange ActiveSync not working

A client has a SBS 2003 R2 premium (with ISA 2004) and wants to sync iPhones and Android phones.
When using the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer and selecting 'Exchange ActiveSync' we get 'The test of the FolderSync command failed. Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP

We tried every solution we could find on the internet, without success.
This is what we tried and checked so far:
    - fixed IP, DNS, trusted SSL (comodo) seem all OK
    - Exchange 2003 SP2 and ISA 2004 SP3 installed.
    - RWW and OWA working fine.
    - tests with iPhone and Android -> 'cannot get mail. The connection to the server failed'.
    - event viewer reveals no further clues.
    - ran CEICW several times enabling and disabling most remote options (OWA OMA,...)
    - manually checked all vDir settings in IIS6
    - tested with different accounts, created a testaccount without any administrative privileges in Active Directory.
    - surfing to servername/microsoft-server-activesync from local network and to domain/microsoft-server-ActiveSync from external computer both give: HTTP 501/HTTP 505 error as expected.

I used to have a SBS2003 on ISA running activesync with no issues so I'll try and give you guidance although it's been a while.  I gather this is the first time use of this feature on this SBS?  If so make sure you follow the instructions here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc182239.aspx
Also make sure you've enabled all mobile services in exchange features and updated your users with the Mobile User profile (I think they need to be members of the Mobile and Remote Web Workplace groups in Manage Users IIRC).  Anything in the event logs?
Also, for some phones you need to manually download the certificate if you use a self-signed type.
Note that in the end it may be time to replace this soon to be unsupported ISA with a separate firewall (or a "free" Untangle box) and go to a one NIC solution.  It simplifies things and you need to do that anyway to transition off SBS2003 when it is
    unsupported next year.

  • Syncronisation via Exchange ActiveSync - not every message gets synchronize

    Hello,
I have an iPhone 3G with firmware 2.1. I already successfully managed to set up the Exchange ActiveSync Account to my Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with SP1.
I am able to sync my iPhone with the Exchange Server and can check my mails, contacts or calander.
The problem is that I *do not receive every mail* on my iPhone. *Only the messages*, contacts or appointments *I already read or opened* will appear on my iPhone.
New mails for example will only appear on Microsoft Outlook. As soon I open the message on my Outlook account I receive the same message on my iPhone.
I already searched desperately for a solution but did not find anything.
    Thanks for your help.
    Greetings from Switzerland
    Andy Kunz

This one actually sounds like an issue with the Antivirus on the Exchange server side. Saw the solution in another thread where it definitely wasn't the answer, but it may be the right one for you. Here's a link to the article.

  • 2.0.1 & 2.0.2 Exchange Email Not Pushing

Once I updated my 3G phone to 2.0.1 and now recently 2.0.2 my Exchange and Mobile Me email does not get pushed to my phone. I had no problems with emails getting pushed prior to the update. Nothing has been changed on my companies exchange server. The only way that I receive any email is to actually open the email application on the phone. It then will pull the messages from the server.
Both accounts are set to Push. I have restored my phone multiple times and the problem still exists.
    Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Yes, I've restarted, restored and set-up as a new phone. Same problems.
    I have 2 email accounts set-up:
    1. Mobile Me Account
    2. Exchange Account
Everything worked fine until these recent updates.

  • Exchange ActiveSync not working if form based authentication or SSL enabled

    Hi,
I just wanted to share my experience setting up Exchange with iPhone. In case your exchange account on iPhone 2.0 is setup correctly and it synchronizes (no error messages received during the validation process) but you cannot see any email, calendar or contact items you may have the following issue:

You should receive a login prompt for username & password following by an Inbox listing of messages.
We used this step to verify server setup before configuring an iPhone. Lastly, we made certain that connectivity would work from outside or within our company by doing the following:

  • 2-way relationship when using exchange activesync?

We are setting MS Exchange Activesync to push out email, contacts, calendar to our "pilot" iPhone. My question is, is this a two way relationship? Meaning if we delete an message in Outlook will it be deleted from the iPhone. Conversely, if we delete a message from the iPhone will it be deleted from Outlook?
    Thanks for you help.

The difference between the Blackberry Software is that you have the option to allow your PDA not to delete your emails off your desktop or to. I was told by our IT department that Activesync does not provide this option. Which is stupid because they should provide you that option.

  • Not all contacts or calendar entries syncing with Exchange ActiveSync

Just set up Exchange ActiveSync on my new iPhone. Exchange 2007, Outlook 2007, iPhone 2.1. Did my initial sync over the air. All appears good.
Edit some entries in contacts on PC, add some new, etc. Same with calendar. They do not appear to sync over. Odd thing is in contacts they don't show up but yet my count matches between the two systems. Some of the edits don't come over either.
In calendar, some entries are missing.
    Any ideas?

No response from Apple. Calls to support turned up nothing. Problem seems to be a general issue with wireless sync. If I hardwire sync the appointments come over fine. If I do it by wireless, any appointments that are changed are at risk of not coming over.
Others in my office that use Windows Mobile have said same thing from time to time on their end.
Palms never failed like this. I would say Apple and Windows Mobile are not ready for prime time. I hope someone fixes this because the system is not stable.

  • Exchange 2013 ActiveSync not working

    Hello everyone,
We seem to be having problems with our ActiveSync not working anymore. Users with mobile devices can not access their mailboxes. We have checked just about every setting and the IIS logs and can't find an answer to this issue. Microsoft's Remote Connectivity
Analyzer shows the following error which we can not find an answer for anywhere.
An ActiveSync session is being attempted with the server.

    Hi,
Did you ever find a solution to your problem?  I have exactly the same problem with a fresh install of exchange 2013.  Can access mailboxes via outlook 2010 and owa but can't connect any mobile device.  I'm stumped...
a 400 IIS Bad Request error indicates token bloat. Are you proxying to 2010 mailboxes?
The usual fix is to set the following reg keys on the CAS receiving the requests following the first step described in this article that is similar:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2491354
Create the following registry keys on all CAS servers (both Exchange Server 2007 CAS servers and Exchange Server 2010 SP1 CAS servers) in the Active Directory site:
    Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters
    Name: MaxFieldLength

  • Can't access Exchange ActiveSync server - SSL certificates not being used

When I try to set up my email via Exchange ActiveSync to a corporate server, I am unable to connect. I am using the same exact settings as on an iPhone, where I am able to successfully connect.
Reading the console log in the iPhone configuration utility, the problem appears to be that the iPad is not using the corporate certificates I have installed to enable SSL access to the Exchange server. These certificates are installed in the exact same way they are on my iPhone, where they work correctly.
Has anyone else had a similar problem accessing Exchange mail using SSL certificates? Any ideas on how to fix this? Or is this a bug in the iPad software?

IM having the same problem. iPhone works fine on exchange atvwork but iPad with same settings says cannot connect to exchange server. Have you figured anything out yet?

  • Exchange ActiveSync New Feature

I just noticed something new with exchange activesync. Now you have the option for push to any folder on you exchange server, it's no longer limited to just the Inbox. This is a nice feature enhancement.
I also noticed, even though I do not sync contacts nor do I send exchange emails from my iPhone (I used to, but all of my old contacts at my former employer are stuck as auto-suggested email address and cannot be deleted), it seems to be suggesting email address from everone in the GAL (or perhaps it is suggesting email address from anyone who I have ever received an email from).

This is the ONLY feature stopping me migrating to iphone from my windows mobile 6.5
It is a MUST have for me.
    1)  If you forget your phone at home you can check you email at work and get your SMS messages
    2)  I have no GSM coverage at office.  I can leave my phone at and upper level desk and still get my messages via woek email and take calls bia bluetooth.
    3) Can send SMS from desktop outlook client with full keyboard and they are send by mobile phone.
    Looking forward to this feature...

  • Activesync not actively syncing.

    Hello,
I have an iPhone 6 Plus and am on 8.02.    I have set up my work's exchange account through my company which uses an activesync server  and get confirmation that everything is connected properly.    However, nothing is syncing and I'm not receiving email (inbox is empty).    I have the exact same set up on my ipad which is working fine.  Took it to our support desk and they are also at a loss as to what is wrong.  I'm receiving personal email just fine.  Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Hi Stinky Grapefruit,
