MS Exchange and Javamail

Hi,
I have been trying to send email from my java application through an exchange server about 6 months ago and found this to be impossible. I gave up on that method and have circumvented the issue with success. I send the details of the email to my server, and have my server send the email
But, i was wondering if the javamail API has been upgraded, adapted, change, modified or any other form of alteration to allow emails to be sent through an exchange server????

No idea. We're not expert with javamail, as it's really a java application.
We know about Messaging Server, which really has little to do with Java.

Hi All,
I have a problem on trying to read other user's mailbox on MS Exchange through JavaMail.
I am using administrator to connect to MS Exchange server and try to use Store.getUserNamespaces(java.lang.String user) to get another user's folder but it return nothing... however when I used Store.getPersonalNamespaces(), it works...
I have grant the full control permission of the user for the administrator. I can use administrator to see other user's mailbox through MS outlook. And I also try to connect to MS Exchange through Netscape Mail client(a standard IMAP mail client).Unfortunately netscape mail client can not see other user's mailbox though other functionality works well...
I suspect MS Exchange does not fully support IMAP. does anyone has idea on this isssue? Please give me some comment...

Hi, I know that it is almost 2 years ago that you put your question. But I am very interested whether you found a solution because I encountered the same problem as you had.

I have Exchange and Yahoo accounts on my iPhone 4. At least 1 email a day I send as a reply fails to leave my outbox of my Exchange account.

The only guaranteed way of sending it is to change the sender to my yahoo account. Note that is ONLY occurs on replies to existing emails, never new emails.
It is only certain mails that fail. Even if I delete the mail and write another reply it will still fail.
Could it be content related? It happened on IOS4 & 5.
I've asked one of the staff in the Apple shop and he said he's seen this before but doesnt know the answer - not really helpful if you're trying to work off your iPhone :-(

I would agree with you if I still couldnt send the reply by changing the sender to my yahoo account; but as I mentioned before - whenever the mail fails to send, I can ALWAYS send it by changing the sender to my yahoo account.
I agree that it must be something within the original mail, but why does it trigger a failure if I reply from my exchange account and not my yahoo yahoo account.
I can delete the Exchange account and re-add it, but it makes no difference. I've also rebooted the phone but again, no difference.

I set up my iCloud account on iPad with an exchange account and aol account. I can see exchange and aol emails but not those from .me account or apple email. I got it to show all 3 accounts on my iPhone with no problem. Hat am I missing?

I'm having a similar problem, but I do have the key and is not working anyway.
My old pc was running on windows 7 and my new one is an apple running on Lion.
My phone is an Iphone IV and I can see all the bookmarks there.
In order to sync, what I did was click on the "I don't have the device with me", I entered the key that was provided and the process finish ok. It says congratulations, etc, etc.
But the bookmarks are not there, I tried merging data and replacing data on this computer options but is the same.
Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro Exchange and Repair Extension Programs

I have a MacBook Pro Early 2008, and I think my laptop problem is the Nvidia Card. My laptop doesn't start. I can't hear the chime at startup, but I can hear the DVD and the HD spinning, and the fans working. I phoned the nearest Apple mervice and they said me that it is imperative that my computer is running so they can perform the test that determines whether the problem of my computer is covered by the Exchange and Repair Extension Programs "or distorted video no video issues". I have told them that's impossible, because the logic board defect causes a impossibility to boot the laptop.
Can anyone tell me if it's true that the Apple Service says to me? How they intend I start my laptop?

But...
Why are you so sure that the Nvidia failure does not prevent the computer start-up. The laptop has worked flawlessly so far.
In some forums I read that the cause of the boot failure is just the defective nvidia board. First I had some screen flickering problems, and the latest problems are screen blackouts, this seems that the boot failure is the last symptom of a defective board.
In any case, I find it's a kind of surreal nightmare that Apple launch a replacement program, and deny coverage for units that have been rendered useless because the problem that justifies the replacement program. Doesn't have Apple the serial numbers of the units that can be affected by a problem that Nvidia recognize?

Updates to the Extensions Exchange and the new XSDs on the Oracle Wiki

I have just posted the following SQL Developer Forum

You'll also notice that some of these extensions are showing up under the third party section in Check For Updates.

Using JSF and JavaMail to send Automated Email

Hi All,
Can any one please suggest I can use JSF and JavaMail to send automated email messages i.e after a person has successfully completed a form , a message is sent to his/her email address confirming that he has succesfully registered or completed a form. I have succesfull implemeted the use of javamail for sending email meassages in a JSF web application but cant seem to figure out how i can achieve automated sending of emails in JSF. Please any ideas, tutorials or source code would be very much appreciated.

I don't understand your problem:
You have already been able to send e-mails from a JSF webapplication, but you are not capable of sending e-mails from a JSF webapplication?!
Automated sending of e-mails will be exactly the same as non-automated.

Microsoft Exchange and Outlook "requesting data.. error message.

I have a customer experiencing problems with their Microsoft Exchange and Outlook clients running across a newly installed ATM WAN. I have a 3 MB IMA circuit at the host as well as the remote. On a frequest basis the clients will get the requesting data from Exchange server error message. Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem?

Exchange server was original designed as a LAN application, thus the RPC protocol. Since you are running across a slow WAN (latency is not LAN like) you can only adjust/eliminate the message via the Registry, or better yet a Group Policy;

The messages become more prevalent with large number of users, slow hardware, and with Outlook 2003. The move to RPC over HTTP (2003 Exchange and Outlook 2003) might reduce chatter.

uri: The URI that defines the connection endpoint where the remote runspace is opened.
shellUri: The URI of the shell that is launched when the connection is made.
credential: A
PSCredential object that contains the user account that has permission to make the connection.

I am currently integrating MS Exchange as the main groupware system into a 7.0 portal. Now the customer wants to integrate tasks fom Lotus Domino into the UWL.
Is it at all possible to integrate both systems?
How can I integrate Lotus Domino Tasks at all?

Hi Jörg,
thanks to the Groupware Framework of the SAP NetWeaver Portal you can integrate MS Exchange and Lotus Notes at the same time. The groupware framework enables the integration of e-mail and scheduling services. But be aware that the Groupware framework provides abstraction only for calendar data and not for tasks and contacts (see here ).
That's why you are going to integrate Lotus Domino Tasks into the UWL. Unfortunately, there is no ready-to-use UWL Connector for Lotus Domino but you are free to develop your own. Have a look at Alan's blog .

I am trying to set a email in exchange and it will not allow me to do so

I have also tried the fixes offered in this forum such as using the "Other" mail in setting up the gmail accounts, and not using the dedicated gmail setting. I also went to google and signed in and enable the additional devices. I had the same problems with the original account I set up for gmail, but it corrected when i went to using the "Other" instead of the Gmail button. I was able to set up the new gmail accounts on my iphone without problem and on my husband's ipad1 for his gmail account. Just the ipad 2 is giving me problems. Again, thanks for any suggestions.
