MS explorer compatibility

I created a website in iWeb 09. It runs fantastic on my local drive on safari, ff, chrome, but not on IE7. Navigation buttons are gone. This is really frustrating. What do I need, is Apple coming with an update?

For your navigation menu to be seen on IE, then you need to turn the original one off and build your own text based nav bar instead.
PC users need java enabled on their PC to be able to view correctly. Does not take long to re-build your nav bar. Go to Inspector and then Page and then select hide nav bar and don't include in page menu - then build your own using text boxes or shapes and add the text and then remember to hyperlink back to your pages.

  • Is there a way to set internet explorer compatibility on my Mac (in Chrome or Safari)?

I am trying to view a website that requires IE compatibility.  There is a Chrome extension called IE Tab but it only works on a Windows machine, not a Mac.  Any idea what works on a Mac?

I am trying to view a website that requires IE compatibility.
If at all possible avoid that website. I would be concerned about undesirable things going into your computer.  In the Windows world Internet Explorer is a common conduit to damage computers.
If they are shortsighted enough to do this I would be very concerned about other mistakes they may be making.
My browser of choice is Firefox.

  • Nomad Explorer - compatibility problems with Directory O

Hi there, word has it there are some compatibility problems between the Nomad Explorer software for some Creative mp3 players and Directory Opus (file manager/shell replacement for Windows Exploder)... Thinking of buying a Zen player... can someone get Creative Australia to send GPSoftware a unit to test with so they can figure out if it's anything they can do something about?

I've never done this myself, but you can have an item in your block of type Image.
Then you can use the WebUtil package to read and write image files from the client workstation. See http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/webutil.htm for more information in WebUtil.
You could use Francois' JavaBean to use a file chooser with an image previewer. You can use this component to let the user browser for an image file on his/her local file system. More info at http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/categorie-453384.html

  • How To turnoff compatibility mode settings in IE 10

    Hi,
I have Domain and Forest Functional level is 2008 R2.
I got a requirement from a project to turnoff IE10 compatibility mode for windows 7.
Can anyone help me with an ADMS template which I can import to view settings in GPO.
    Regards,
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
To turn off Compatibility View, enable the following setting:
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Compatibility View\Turn off Compatibility View
Regarding ADMX files for IE 10, if we have installed it on our DC, we don’t need to download it. If not, we can visit the following website to download it.
Administrative Templates for Windows Internet Explorer 10

    Hope it helps.

  • What do I need to do to set IE11 to show a specific site in compatibility view?

We have a legacy site which needs to be in the compatibility view settings in IE11 on our Win 7 workstation (and Win 2012 RDS).
On a test machine in a test OU, I have set a new IE group policy which only contains one setting, which is:
    Computer Configuration (Enabled)
    Policies
    Administrative Templates
Policy definitions (ADMX files) retrieved from the central store.
    Windows Components/Internet Explorer/Compatibility View
    Policy
    Setting
    Comment
    List of sites
    *.domain.com
Our domain is functional level 2003, but we have 2012 DCs (mainly) and I generally do Group Policy administration on a Win 7 machine using RSAT.  I mention that in case any of that is the explanation for this result.
On GP results, that IE Compat View policy with the single setting is denied on that machine because it is empty.
    Denied GPOs
    Name
    Link Location
    Reason Denied
Internet Explorer CompatView Config (Computer Only)
       contonso.local/Test/Workstations
    Empty
Clearly the GP is not actually empty - so something essential is missing.  I wonder if I need to import some IE11 settings files (admx?!) somewhere or if I need to do the Group Policy editing on the 2012 DC instead of on the Win 7 RSAT?  I've read
a little about importing admx files, but wouldn't really be sure of how to do it the right way.

    Hi,
Maybe you should first import the IE 11 Administrative Templates file when you modify the settings on Windows 7. For details about how to import these ADMX files.
Administrative Templates for Internet Explorer 11
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40905
    Internet Explorer 11 Administrator Templates
    http://www.grouppolicy.biz/2013/11/internet-explorer-11-administrator-templates/
Since you mentioned you have a Windows Server 2012 DC in your domain, if it is a R2 version, you do not need to import the ADMX file, the Internet Explorer 11 Administrative Template files
    are already installed.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to control IE10's "Compatibility View settings" via Group Policy

    First
of all thanks for taking the time to read this.  I must let you know that I have limited experience with Group Policy so here it goes...
Domain Controllers are 2008 R2 Datacenter and client computers are Win7 Pro with IE10
I need to add several sites to the "Compatibility View settings" in IE10 and have these pushed out via Group Policy.
I followed this to enable the "Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites:"
    Use
Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites
I even added the settings to both User Configuration as well as Computer Configuration.  However the computers on the domain wouldn't show these sites in
IE even after forcing a GP update (gpupdate /force)
Yes I did use top level domain names.
Next I installed the Administrative Templates for Windows Internet Explorer 10 on the DC:
Administrative Templates for Windows Internet Explorer 10
this gave me an Inetres.adm file while I put in the same location as my other .adm files that Group Policy Manager sees (located at C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\Adm)
I do see a bunch of .ADMX files located at C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions
on the DC.  I also see a lot of .ADML files located at C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\en-US.
Where is my Central Store located that my Group Policy references?  How do I know what location GP is reading from?
Now I installed the Administrative Templates (ADMX) for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 from here:
Administrative Templates (ADMX) for Windows Server 2008 R2 and
    Windows 7
This gave me a "Win7-2008R2-admx.msi" package that I installed.  I took the defaults and extracted contents to:
    C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\Server 2008 Win7\PolicyDefinitions
Are all of these .ADMX files supposed to be placed into my Central Store?
If I mouse-over "Administrative Templates" in Group Policy Manager is says that the policy definitions are retrieved from the local machine.
I then right-clicked on top of "Administrative
Templates" in Group Policy Manager and highlighted Inetres and selected Delete.
While in Add/Remove Templates I click on Add and it defaults to looking for "Policy Templates" and will not let me select and .ADM/.ADML/.ADMX files.
What am I doing wrong here?
How do I know that I'm using the most recent Inetres file?
How do I know which file Group Policy Manager is using to manage the IE settings that are in:
    User Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Internet Explorer->Compatibility View->Use Policy List of Internet
    Explorer 7 sites
    or
    Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Internet Explorer->Compatibility View->Use Policy List of
    Internet Explorer 7 sites.
Is there anything else you can suggest?
Many, many thanks in advance for any response

    Hi,
Regarding your question, usually we create a Central Store for Administrative Templates (Both .admx and .adml files), and create a folder that is named PolicyDefinitions in the following location:
\\FQDN\SYSVOL\FQDN\policies. The .adml files on the Windows computer
are stored in a language-specific folder. For example, English (United States) .adml files are stored in a folder that is named "en-US." When you have copied all .admx and .adml files, the PolicyDefinitions folder on the domain controller should contain the
.admx files and one or more folders that contain language-specific .adml files.
Please refer to the following articles. You will get more helpful details about the Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Template files.
How to create the Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Template files in Windows Vista

Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and the Group Policy Central Store
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2009/12/09/windows-7-windows-server-2008-r2-and-the-group-policy-central-store.aspx
Based on your description, I understand you enable the setting “Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites”. However, didn’t show any sites in IE in client even after forcing a GP update
(gpupdate /force). Please use command “gpresult” in clients to collect the GPOs, and then check whether the GPO contain the setting “Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites” was applied to clients or wasn’t.
In addition, you also can change the related setting by using registry directly.
Follow the path of the registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Policies->Microsoft->Internet Explorer->BrowserEmulation->PolicyList. (Create registry folders
    manually if not present)
    Right Click
PolicyList ->New->String Value->Enter the name of the website. (Both under ‘Name’ and ‘Data’. For example,
Value name: example.com Value data: example.com)
There is a similar question, please read as a reference.
Add manually URL on Compatibility View List in IE10
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/ie/en-US/5a15e861-d106-471e-a968-fdea15e31c45/add-manually-url-on-compatibility-view-list-in-ie10
    Hope this helps.

  • Group Policy not populating IE11's compatibility sites.

We normally do not allow IE updates, but we got a pallet of new computers with IE11 preinstalled on them from Dell.  I figured now is a good time to get this working in our environment.
The issue is that under our group policy settings are not putting the websites we need in compatibility mode.  I have verified the group policy is applied to my computer using rsop.msc and I verified the settings in there.  However when
I try to visit our loan application which runs at http://192.168.1.9 it shows a browser not supported message and says to use IE 5.5 or later.  Well if one were to manually add the site in compatibility mode, then it would work.  So we want to avoid
the calls to IT Support on how to add sites to compatibility mode and just control it from our end via Group Policy.
So under User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Compatibility View : we have these set:
Include updated Web site lists from Microsoft - Enabled
Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites - Enabled
      Show:
       http://192.168.1.9    (our lending application)
       https://another website
http://192.168.1.15   (our lending application test site for new upcoming releases)

    Hi,
The site list deployed using administrative template might not be visible in IE user interface. We could see the sites loading in the compatibility mode by opening the developer tool bar (press F12) and checking the browser mode.
Also, we can verify the setting in the client machine registry. The configuration is written to registry under HKCU(HKLM)\Software\[Wow6432Node]\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\BrowserEmulation\PolicyList. More information, please see
    this blog:
How to add web site to Compatibility View List via GPO
In addition, we need to configure the "Turn on Internet Explorer Standards
mode for Local Intranet" policy and set it to disable.
    For the “Use
Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites”
policy: We need to add Top level domain names in the
policy settings.  Reference: Compatibility List FAQ

  • Group Policy not populating Compatibility View List in IE 11

I am currently a domain admin in a large, multi domain controller environment. Our AD was much out of date (2000 mix mode) and we are currently updating it in steps (2003 Native at this point)
At the same time other technicians have started patch testing, moving us from IE10 to IE11. However, there seems to be one major catch so far. Users require access to a website that will only run properly in compatibility mode.  This was true in IE10 and
    is true in IE11.
As such, this website was set as a mandatory compatibility mode page in GPO (Administrative Tempaltes\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Compatibility View\Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites). This has worked fine for 8, 9, 10 for this site and
    others.
However, it was not showing in compatibility mode in IE 11 it is showing in normal mode and breaks. The policy is applying normally and the list is accurate in rsop.msc. If the site is added to compatibility mode locally inside IE11 it works fine.
Our patch testers are all seeing the same problem. However, I have been unable to establish if it is just this site or others are affected (mostly it's old billing and intranet sites I don't have access to).
I'm not sure what the disconnect is.

    Hi,
There are also more modes. The detailed information is below:
•Via X-UA-compatible meta tag: The webpage developer used a meta tag to specify a legacy document mode.
•compatible HTTP header: The web server has requested a legacy document mode via an HTTP header.
•Via local compatibility view settings: The site was manually added to the Compatibility View settings.
•Via the compatibility view list: The site is on Microsoft's Compatibility View list.
•Via intranet compatibility settings: The "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" box is checked in the Compatibility View settings.
please remove all website from "Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites" list.
Remember to run "gpupdate /force" command to apply the new group policy object.
Then open the websites, click F12 key, check their Document mode status.
Based on my test, this is also related with web itself. it will adjust status according to its design.

  • GPO - How to uncheck Display intranet sites in Compatibility View

    Hello,
How do you uncheck the (IE8) "Display intranet sites in compatibility view" through group policy? I read several conversations regarding the this default setting, however I did not see how this can be done.

    Hello Carsten,
    Try to use Workbook compression:
      -  Open the specific workbook in BEx Analyzer
      -  Open Workbook Settings dailog
      -  Check "Use Optimized Storage"
      -  Click on OK Button
      -  Save the workbook
But also, your front end tools are on a very old version.
I would like to recommend you to install the latest patch of SAPGUI 7.20 and Business Explore 7.20.
Front End Version 7.10 will be supported until April 2011.

  • Interne connection problem with Macbook

I have a new 13 inch white macbook . It keeps on disconnecting with the internet . My PC laptops dont have this problem . I am using AT&T Gateway wireless modem . The macbook would show no connection and then after the diagnostics are run and the browser is closed and re-opened it connects with the internet, it is annoying . I am using safari and firefox both . The problem is more with online banks and online apparel stores not with yahoo or google.Seems the browsers are not compatible with these websites.
    Please help.
    Thanks

Yes, there are a few sites that are not 100% compatible with Safari OR Firefox, and work ONLY with Internet Explorer. Do the help files or instructions for your troublesome bank or merchant website(s) specify what browser(s) version(s) and operating systems they support?
Airport (wireless internet connection) problems to your network and/or wireless router are different, and 99.9% of the time, not related to browser compatibility issues.
Unpredictably connecting or disconnecting from a wireless router is a wireless networking problem, not a browser compatibility issue.
    *Wireless troubleshooting:*
Can you also connect to your Mac directly to your AT&T wireless router with an Ethernet cable?
That will help you diagnose what are connectivity/network issues, versus what are browser compatibility issues. If your browser(s) work fine with the troublesome sites when directly connected by wire, then you're NOT having browser compatibility issues. Macs are picky about wireless connections. My original inexpensive 'b/g' wireless router worked fine with my older Windows XP computer and Nintendo Wii, but my MacBook kept dropping the signal every 10 minutes or so. I upgraded to a famous brand 'n' wireless router, and my problems disappeared.
    *Browser Compatibility Troubleshooting*
    Indications of browser incompatibility are:
Fonts that don't display correctly, such as overlapping or missing letters or words.
Wrong colors or colors that obscure some parts of the screen.
Text that displays line by line at the left margin, over colored backgrounds, instead of as a web page.
Screen display design elements are wrong, such as a color box that seems too large or small for the text displayed on it.
Some or all of the 'button' elements of the website do not respond to pointing the cursor and clicking, even after refreshing the screen, and the only solution is to closing the browser.
Look carefully at the Status Bar at the bottom of the browser so see if it displays an Errors count. (Then choose Window, Activity, to see what errors are occurring.)
If you MUST have 100% Internet Explorer compatibility on your Mac, you can always purchase Windows and IE and install it under Bootcamp, Parallels, VMWare Fusion or similar programs.
Let me know what you discover.

  • Problems with IE 11 Template

I'm trying to create a virtualized IE 11 using the template.
    I'm building it on a Windows 7 64-bit computer.
When launching it, I keep getting "A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer has reset this setting to your original search provider, Bing (www.bing.com). Internet Explorer will not open Search Settings, where you can change this setting or install more search providers."
And then you cannot add any search providers -- Bing, Google, whatever. You get "The search provider could not be installed. This might have happened because: A required file could not be downloaded, The website is unavailable, or You are not connected to the internet."
I've tried with Google as the original search provider, and Bing. I've tried it with "Internet Explorer Compatibility Mode" on and off.
The only time I do not have this problem is if the computer running the virualized IE 11 already has IE 11 installed. Which sort of defeats the purpose of virtualizing IE 11 in the first place.

  • TPVS - Minimum resource load  constraint

    Hi  Friends,
We are in APO 4.1 version and TPVS  optimizer is being used to consolidate/schedule shipments . We have two kind of vehicle resources assigned to Transportation  lane via MOT. They are Vehicle type -A with maximum capacity  10 Tons and Vehicle type-B with 30 Tons maximum capacity .  Our business expects whenever  sum of fright units  weight comes less than or equal to 10 Tons on given route/Zone customers , then optimizer should load  those shipmetss only into Vehicle type-A or Vehicle type -B should get loaded only when total shipment weight exceeds 10 Tons . I am aware optimizer works purely based  total cost optimisation by meeting all constraints defined.
My question : Is there any possibility  to define minimum weight constraint for vehicle in TPVS or any options. (Have explored compatibility some extend, but it couldnu2019t help me)
    Thanks
    Rajesh K

    Hi Rajesh,
The requirement is to load 10 tns on MOT A and above 10 tns on MOT B.
There is something in cost profile called "Cost functions and Load cost"  tab.
Define Load cost like the below:
    10 MOT-A 0 to 10 Tons less cost
                         > 10 Tns very high cost
    20 MOT-B 0 to 10 Tons Very high cost
                        >  10 tns less cost
As it is cost based optimization, Optimizer always selects less cost solution.
Hope ur requirement will be met addressed.
    Thanks & Regards,
